I found Dr. Fernandez and his wife Erin, who is a Nurse, at a local health expo. While there he did a quick thermal scan of my spinal muscles and without my telling him where the pain or problems were, the scan nailed it spot on. Curious, I made an appointment right away. I had just finished over 6 weeks of physical therapy with some good results, but still had pain. The first office visit was an eye opener. I had also been on a decompression machine before, but it was uncomfortable. The machine Dr. Fernandez uses is extremely comfortable, and I dont have to climb onto it. He and his wife truly are a dynamic duo. Together they use different techniques and modalities to treat the spine and muscles gently without the need for abrupt adjustments. Ive been to numerous chiropractors over the years with varying results using other techniques. His approach is gentle, relaxing and energizing.
I called as a new patient and have workmans comp and told Mr Fernandez that I was in debilitating pain. As soon as he found out my workmans comp case was old, he advised me that he couldnt be bothered with the paperwork. Its all about getting paid. These so called doctors of chiropractic are all about money not helping patients! What a joke! You should not be in business sir!
Id been having panic attacks, and visited a chiropractor which brought relief, but the problem kept coming back. Dr. Fernandez told me it was probably due to my forward head posture, so as well as treating my symptoms, he helped me to understand the cause, so that I could work on that as well. Panic attacks are gone, and the nerves in my neck and back are steadily improving. Could not recommend more.
Dr. Fernandez and his DRX9000 are helping to relieve my back and neck pain. His treatments are effective and allow me to live a better life. I highly recommend his services.
I recently had my second visit with Fishkill Spinal Decompression Center, this was by far the best chiropractor experience I have had yet..I have two bulging disc and did not want to receive injections, by my second visit my pain had subsided a great deal, I work in the ER and on my feet all day, so greatfull to have found this place. Dr, is extremely caring.
I have an old weightlifting injury that has been nagging me for years. I have seen several chiropractors and the injury has been pacified, but never healed. In my first visit, Dr. Fernandez took time to figure out my problems using several diagnostic tools. Using that information, he created a strategy to best address my problems. He was very realistic, explaining that the treatment will take time, which I appreciate. Some chiropractors try to sell you a fantasy that 1 visit will cure you.The office has a great atmosphere; it is very relaxed and welcoming. The DRX9000 is also a great treatment technique. I will continue to use Dr. Fernandez’s therapies and I highly recommend him.
This was my first experience at a chiropractor and I couldn’t have walked away more satisfied. Michael and Erin are very knowledgeable and explain everything before they do it. I’m a nurse who stands on my feet all day and my back felt lighter before walking out of the office and this was huge. Super warm and inviting atmosphere!! One of the greatest chiropractic experiences I have ever had.I woke up one day with extreme pain in my back and searched online for help. I then found The Spinal Decompression Center Of Fishkill and it was the best choice. I was able to book an appointment that morning. When I came in I was instantly impressed with Dr. Fernandez and Nurse practitioner Erin-Marie. They were not only professional and great at what they do, they were very informative. With every method they took they explained In great detail. The goal is overall spinal health with preventative information to not only help with pain but keep the pain away.I have had chiropractic services before and it was just a form of stretching, adjustments and when can you come in next. I didn’t feel like that here. I was not just a number, I felt like family. All in all the overall goal for my visit and future visits was consistent with overall health.I am so grateful that I’ve found this place and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. Nobody has ever complained about going with the best and choosing the Spinal Decompression Center Of Fishkill is going with the best. You would not be disappointed.
I tried Dr. Fernandez last week because I injured my back in the past from lifting heavy weights without proper form. I wanted to see if the decompression machine could help.I was pleasantly surprised after the treatment because I felt an immediate looseness and lightness when I walked. I was curious if the relief would last, and about five days later my back still felt good.Usually, with traditional chiropractic services Im better for a day or two, but then the tightness returns after I workout or sit too long. Finally, I think I have finally found a long term remedy for my back discomfort.
I’ve had lower back issues for decades. Not serious, just annoying. More recently, when I stand for more than 15 – 30 minutes (such as at the networking events I go to frequently) I experience tingling in my thighs. The only way to ease the discomfort is to walk or sit.I met Michael recently where he described his spine decompression machine. It was certainly not a treatment I knew about or tried. And I wanted to try it to see what it could do for me.Even after one treatment, I could feel the difference after standing for over 30 minutes. After each successive treatment I feel better and can stand for longer periods of time. I’m looking forward to continuing the treatments and getting better.In his office, Michael explains what’s happening and makes you feel very much at ease. I highly recommend you see him for your chiropractic care.

Dr. Fernandez has done more to relieve my pain from a herniated disc, then physical therapy and the orthopedic doctor combine. Strong recommendation.
This machine is absolutely wonderful. Before my first treatment I was very apprehensive, but Dr. Fernandez made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The DRX 9000 was very gentle and after a few treatments I felt a huge difference. Thanks Doc!
I will definitely be back after my first visit to Dr. Fernandez! Not only is he a cool guy but he is knowledgeable and professional. I’m in my young 20s and I deal with a tight lower back constantly and believe that stretching is simply just not enough. I used to see a different chiropractor who would adjust me using her techniques and I found that it helped with any sort of neck tightness and little in my lower back but nothing like the feeing I had leaving Dr Fernandez’s spinal decompression center. With each technique that he performed on me, I felt a little weight fall off my back. And then after the drx 9000 it felt as if 100 pound weight was lifted off of my back. It was an extremely revealing feeling. I’m excited to go back and take the res of this weight off of me!
Dr. Fernandez and Dr. Kernan gave me a great first experience at a chiropractor. I would definitely come back. I went for just preventative care but left with more mobility and was better realigned. Just one visit was extremely helpful!

While searching for a local chiropractor online I came across Dr.Hernandez and noticed how many great reviews he had. After meeting and consulting with him I soon understood why. I came in with back pain resulting from a heavy lifting session that was making work and everday activities difficult. After thoroughly educating me about the function of the spine we got started on the DRX9000. I was really impressed and unaware technology like this existed, and was more than satisfied with the outcome. After the DRX9000 and the other treatments Dr.Fernandez administered I felt almost instant relief. I would highly reccomend him to anyone seeking help with these issues and thank him for professionalism and prompt ability to see me on short notice.
This place should be a nationwide enterprise. Their approach is extremely unique and gentle for a man in my condition. My body felt like jello after. It was fantastic. I want a drx-9000 for my house! Chronic sufferer of tight knotted muscles which have started to result in pretty relentless tension headaches. After two visits here, I’m hopeful for the first time in my adult life that I’m not going to have to just accept a painful existence. LOVE the from-all-angles approach, and that the latest and greatest in tech is used. And nothing feels aggressive in the slightest. I’m willing to drive 40 minutes for each appointment, quite a testimony to the work they’re doing.

I was in severe pain from having a sprain shoulder. My wife google this place and we went there and man he did a great job massaging my shoulder I felt alot better when I got home. I will gladly recommend this Chiropractor.

2022-06-21Dr. Mike was patient with my wife and I and helped relieve my pain in my back that i was suffering with all weekend. Highly recommend and great bedside manner with his patients.DRX9000 did wonders on my back....I feel an inch taller but helped put my back in the right alignment....almost feel 100% after 1 visit.

2021-11-21My husband has been going to Dr Fernandez for over a month now, at his first visit he could bearly walk. Hes doing so much better now. Dr Fernandez and his wife, are very friendly, the office is clean and organized, and the equipment sanitized after each use. We would definitely recommend them to anyoneneeding a chiropractor

2021-11-08I recommend Dr. Fernandez and his therapy to everyone. Although it may not work for all it is worth a try. My sciatic pain was so severe I could not see straight. After 3 sessions I progressed to total wellness. Now I go only once a month for maintenance.

2021-08-10This was my first real back problem, I had a pinched nerve in my lower back. I was nervous going in because Ive never been to a Chiropractor before. But he made it very easy to tell him whats wrong and made me feel at ease. The space is clean, professional and Id go every day if I could! Im going to be so sad when I move and wont be able to see him. 10/10 recommending it to everyone

2020-12-05If you have back/neck pain give Dr. Fernandez a call! He is friendly, professional and the office offers a comfortable atmosphere. I have had severe lower back pain and sciatica since a car accident in June. MRI showed bulging disks and a herniated disk pinching a nerve. Ive been going to a chiropractor 2-3x per week, PT 2x per week and medical massage weekly. Ive gotten 25% better in over 5 months of continuous therapy. No one told me about this option. My very first spinal decompression gave me 80% relief. I couldnt believe it. It can usually take a few sessions to feel relief so stay the course and give this totally non invasive therapy a try! It is very worth it.

2020-08-17The spinal decompression center was a great experience for me. Michael Fernandez is very professional, kind hearted and truthful. Although their methods didn’t give me the success I was looking for they were honest enough to direct me into other options for my medical needs and I know a lot of others have had great success through this practice. That’s a very uncommon thing in the medical field these days and I’m very grateful for that. I would recommend them also for their affordable prices for those without health insurance.
