An incredible view into our past. Worth the time and money. Great for the entire family. Heres something you need to know, if you plan to walk up the stairs inside the statue of liberty you cannot buy tickets for that at any ticket booth you must schedule that in advance online! We found that out dissapointingly the hard way and we did not get the chance to do it. Maybe next year. I hope this helps. Enjoy yourselves.

Great trip to see the Statue of Liberty. If you want to go into the pedestal of the statue, you have to book it ahead of time. It costs around $18 per person. It does get crowded but if you book ahead of time, you will have a definite reservation. Which is a good thing. Lots of history. Take the kids.

Took the Ferry out to Ellis Island first and then the Statute of Liberty. Loved the tour of the Emigration museum on Ellis Island.I could identify with the Irish experience. From 1820 to 1920, 4 million Irish people passed through the gates. Got a sense of how daunting and exciting it must have been for those who had arrived. Sent chills down my spine to be honest. The tours themselves around the building were frequent and I thought well presented. The Statue of liberty was having repairs at the time I went in 2012 so just walked around the outside. The statue itself is made of copper and is green due to oxidation. At the time I did not know that.Would recommend both while in NY.

Despite the staircases being winding, and only birthing hip-wide, I would definitely recommend visiting the recently made accessible Crown. Ticketed entry to this area costs $21, must be purchased in advance. When going to the top, belongings have to be stored in lockers within the museum shop. Transport to Ellis Island and Liberty State Park is included with entry, as well as an Audio Tour option.

It`s a cheap trip, very quick to get there, no long lines, and in a sunny day you can enjoy the Ellis Island, very beautiful place, you can see the statue of liberty, it`s amazing, the down side is to get up to the crown you need to wait in line to get the tickets, and the waiting is 3 months, So with are planning to go there plan at least 3 months before!

Do not send them any money for the wall of honor. Total rip off. They take your money and after a year, I am still waiting for the panel to be installed. No panel number, no installation date and no display date.
