If you like to see what the most miserable person is like, feel free to stop by here. It is unbelievable how a person can be so unhappy with his job and takes it out on customers. It is also unbelievable how UPS corp. is allowing this store to represent them. Like others have said, absolutely worst customer service. Anyone looking to give training on what NOT TO DO in terms of customer service, stop here for a free lesson.
The individual who runs the store is one of the most unpleasant and rude people I regularly deal with.The other local UPS Store is about 15 minutes out of my way, but I go there whenever I have the time.Maybe he has some personal problems which he brings to work. The customers don’t care! Leave your problems at home!
I came in to return a package and was having trouble finding the Amazon code on my phone. The young man was rude. Not only did he not offer to help he told me to call Amazon and said “I can’t help you then”. I found it in a minute and held it up. He demanded that I put it behind the glass then slapped down my receipt. Rude people like him should not be dealing w the public. With at least 20 other bad reviews you’d think UPS would do something about them!!! If I could give them less than one star I would.
Horrible service! They reject my printing order just because its 2 page of printing only cause 50 cents. I ordered through their UPS official website and thats the price they charged me on the website. I got to the store to pick up the my paper, but the staff working in the story very rude and told me that I have wait untile tomorrow to come to pick up. he said for just a 50 cents order, I have to log into the system and find the file...balabalabala... you can cancel the order and find another UPS store to do it. very rude! I will never go to that UPS store again even for shipping service! not recommend to anyone!!!!
I left this store today so upset due to the person that worked at the front. I walked in the store, the only one in there, and he was on the phone. He looked directly at me, and walks to the back of the store, not even acknowledging that I was there in need of assistance. He could have easily said give me a minute but instead just walked away. I shrugged it off thinking it was nothing at first (Ive worked in customer service so I understand some jobs in the field are stressful and that he might have been distracted) but then once he got off the phone, he said nothing to me for a whole two minutes while he was doing something else and then rudely told me to put my item on the scale and show him the barcode on my phone. I was APPALLED by his attitude. I was nothing but pleasant with him and he was so unfriendly and rude. I was wondering what I did that caused this kind of behavior from him and what a surprise, I go on Google to review them and see all the previous posts about the horrific customer service at this establishment. Its hilarious how the owner responded asking someone to explain how they were rude and how they are giving a bad name to a small business. Its YOU and your workers that are giving the bad name to your store with your NASTY attitudes. Dont blame it on the general public. I will NEVER use this UPS location again.
One of the rudest and down right miserable people i have met. Went to ship a UPS package and the guy was ever so grumpy in taking the package. When asked why he was so disrespectful to his customer, his response was that he had been working 70 hour! I reviewed the previous comments and it appears that their behavior and demeanor towards their customers is a consensus. I will drive a little further if i have to in order to avoid this store
I brought a sealed package to be shipped to my daughter in college. I just needed to pay postage. The gentleman is a bit strange and not nice. He asked me what was in the package, which was beyond the normal anything glass, chemical or hazardous. Honestly I hate going to this store but is the closest to my home. My daughter received package with her items removed and replaced with dog slings and diabetes sox. I will never use this store again and advise others not to also.
This is possibly one of the worst service and shameful on UPS part. The father & son duos has no personality, no manners and simply feel as though it okay to be rude and non helpful. I know I’m not the only one with similar remarks but we only utilize because of the convenience.
Absolute absence of customer service. Have been there twice and each time I experienced nothing but disappointment, rude behavior from staff. By the way, this isn’t a restaurant or another business where I am going to spend time or walking in with high expectations for an experience of a lifetime, I am merely stepping in to drop off items to ship, and yet they can’t even handle that with courtesy. Luckily I don’t have to drive far for another much much better UPS Store.
Best UPS store anywhere. I got into a jam, and the owner Frank really helped me out with an overseas package. I cant say enough about the tracking, service, and having a sense of calm whenever I ship a package. Hes welcoming and efficient too. I like the new location rather than the old strip store location. Much easier to access and exit.
I had two glass vases shipped from a local auction. Overall great service and excellent packaging. Frank responded to my requests quickly and with solutions (e.g., scheduling a delivery date that accommodated my being out of town). The packaging was by far the best I have experienced: safe and easy to open. No peanuts or miles of taped up bubble wrap.
It’s amazing somebody can have this many poor reviews and UPS doesn’t take their name off the door. They should be embarrassed to have these two extremely rude guys running store. They don’t care to assist clients, they have attitude all the time and seem to be miserable people. They have themselves and family giving their only good reviews. Third and last time using them.
Guy and UPS store gave me an attitude because my box wasnt taped for shipment. He said he would do it this one time but its not his job. I tried to help with the shipment label and he told me it was wrong and gave me more attitude, which then I said sir really this isnt called for its part of your job to help no? He then told me no its not and said thank you for your snotty remark then told me not to come back to the store anymore!! I feel so mad, definitely wont be going back to this store
Extremely rude service! The owner, Frank Scarangella has no customer services etiquette, and he’s in the kind of business where he has to work with people! The system was not responding at the time when I dropped off my returns, and it’s an understandable situation. But he was frustrated and reacted to the customers in rude and flustered matter, instead of staying composed and try to resolve the issue. He needs to learn to address his emotions, and do proper customer support services!
If you patiently wait your turn they take the time to help people out thoroughly. I’ve gone there to years. They are great people but if you run into the store with an self entitled attitude, cut people in line they will tell you sharply to get in the line. If you call that rude customer service learn some manners yourself.
UPDATE!! I have noticed that the staff here have become more accommodating. Especially the father (it’s owned by a father and son). So for now I will update my 1 star review to 3 stars. Will keep updating as I observe.Previous Review : STAY AWAY! The people that work here are extremely rude and not helpful at all. Notice the only good review on google is written by the actually owner (Frank S.) 8 months ago. I only go here because it is convenient as I live a few blocks away. I would highly advise against it.
One star is five too many! Wow, can they be any more nasty!!!The father and the son are both the same. Do they think they are doing us a favor by being there or they are better than us?To the owner: We are paying customers you dont need to be so nasty to your customers!
Really, really nasty old man thats works the desk. Unsure if that is the owner but 0 respect for customers. Walked into the store and greeted him kindly with no response- which is ok...but then to berate me because I asked him kindly for a 6 inch tape across my package since I picked it up from someone and it wasnt the correct item- saying Im asking him for charity and that I cant afford tape -for at most $0.15 cents (def less than that even) worth of tape and that he will not be taping my packages as charity after this...really very unnecessary.
Im a very happy and smiley person and walking into this place felt like misery from hell. The guy never got up. Through the package on the floor so he didnt have to get up. Refused to look at my phone when i was doing a return from amazon that said i didnt need a label. Tried to charge me to ship something that was a free return.Seriously go to any other UPS grumpy old man not worth ruining ur day over and breaking whatever is in your package.
OMG! Don’t do business here! I just come from there. I wanted to leave a box for return to amazon. I was parked in double line so I asked the guy if I could just leave the box there. No answer. I asked again, no answer. Finally he gave me a short answer. I suggested strongly to him to change his attitude. When I got to my car one of them chased me to tell me I should not bother them when they are with another client!!! Insane!
UPDATE: The respond from the owner is completely lying. The so called associate didnt explain any of the things mentioned, the OWNER explained this AFTER he finished printing and rang up the transaction (What a business strategy).Also it is not rude to expect payment, the rude part is after the payment, when your associate gets off the chair and shouts at people in their face calling them by the words which will be filtered here.It is nice for you to defend for you father, but that doesnt mean you should ignore or twist the truth. Learn how to do business!I would give it 0 star if available. The son working there is not willing to help also trying to rip me off because I have my own shipping label which will not make any profit for them. The rude father obviously have some anger issues, I was being yelled and cursed at when asking for a receipt. Sorry for wasting your UPS store business time by bringing in a package to your store, but it won’t happen again.
Not a decent people to do business with. Absolutely senseless people with no idea on how to treat the customers.. I got pissed off by the answer from the old guy work over there but I kept my self calm. In short I would never go back to this place again, I would rather drive 2 more miles to next town.
I had a similar experience as other reviewers with the elderly heavy-set man who apparently is the owner. I foolishly asked for some loose newspaper to fill a void in my box before he closed it, and was met with a barrage of hostility and accusations of presumption. This guy is clearly a bit deranged and needs help for his anger management issues. He was really rude and unbelievably unhelpful considering his is a SERVICE BUSINESS! I give him a 0 for customer service.
Easy to see right off of Willis Avenue servicing Albertson and the adjoining areas of Nassau County. Parking on the Street is available. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. Great for large boxes and packages. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. We will most likely be going back.
The two guys working here, the old one and the middle aged one, are frankly miserable and terrible to deal with. You would think that they would appreciate you giving them business with all the other stores around, but instead treat you like dirt. 0/10, take your business elsewhere.
The worst customer service...they have no respect for customers...it was my first time I went to this store...the owner FRANK he dont know how to run a business...they charged me for the box and all the packaging..they still tell me that we dont do the wrapping right away...I told them this is jewelry I need wrapped in front of me....then told me next time we will not do this for u...and started to argument with me...pls pls pls people dont go them go to store on Jericho turnpike...on herricks rd...frank go back to school for bussniess management...

2022-04-07Its hard for a UPS location to be great or terrible, but this branch is pretty awful. The one guy that works there is an absolutely miserable person. And thats on a good day. Hes incredibly impatient and rude. He seems to hate most of the customers. Although, on occasion, Ive seen him be somewhat nice to a select few. When I called him out, he suggested I go to a different store. Believe me, the few times I need to go, I go with the hope he wont be there. Yet, Ive been disappointed each time so far. It looks like Im not the first, and wont be the last to complain about this guy. Therefore, I doubt itll bring any change (chances are hes the owner anyway). Figured I may as well help add to the guys legend.

2022-01-31I have a small buisness and I ship frequently with this UPS Store. If you want to ship anything GO TO THIS UPS Store. The man working there knows the buisness very well and is quick and efficient. Please support your local business and this local buisness. The person behind the counter seems to be a very hard working man. I use to use Fedex and I know ship through UPS because this store and this person is so awesome. Do not let the negative reviews keep you away from this store. Go and patronize this local buisness you won’t regret it and the man running the store will appreciate it. He seems to be a very pleasant and polite person. He gets the job done and you will not have to worry about your package.

2022-03-29I’m scared to go to this UPS location, the guy works in the front gotta be the unhappiest and most impatient person ever among all other locations I’ve been to in the area. Every time I come here I’m scared to say or do anything to offend him more. I understand working in customer service is not easy, but his behaviors of smashing boxes ordering people around rolling eyes and loud sighs really make me feel uncomfortable as a customer. I try to avoid this location all possible.

2021-12-08There is only one person who works at the UPS and hes the worst customer service person Ive seen ever. I wonder why UPS is still letting this person work to represent their brand.He does not talk to you when you give him a package. He talks only in one worded statements and is very dismissive.I took some return packages all taped and packaged. He printed out the return labels, but then proceeded to rip all the packages open to put the items into a plastic bag instead. Then told me to take the boxes with me because its too much work to throw them out. I was at disbelief.I am now looking for another UPS store, and its so unfortunate that the one near my house is like this.

2021-07-25Couple of weeks ago, I was excited to stop this UPS store in Albertson, NY location only to be disappointed by this one employee. He was about 511, in his 40s, white male. First of all, when I walked in, the employee was in the back of the store on his phone which took him one min to greet me. Secondly, when finally being acknowledge, he came off rude, unfriendly, who hates his job. I explain to him, I had a few packages that needs to be return, he started to huff and puff that I ruin his day. He got so upset that I had look for a code to be scan for my packages that he toss the scanner at the counter.The sad thing about this store is that Im not the only one who is complaining about this person. UPS needs to remove this person out of this store. He is unprofessional with no customer service. No one needs to travel to a different UPS store to return items and receive customer services at the same time. UPS, please bring in someone nice and courteous for the community. We dont deserve this kind of treatment in Albertson, NY.

2021-07-16I have had only great experiences with this UPS store. The manager is very professional and gets the job done. What more could you ask for in a Mailbox store? The US Post Office is a nightmare to deal with. That’s why UPS stores are in business . I am glad they are there.

2021-08-06Everyone has a right to voice their feelings here, but it seems to me that its often only those who are disgruntled who bother to do so. There must be literal thousands who have had satisfactory or better experiences with this UPS Store, but wouldnt think of writing a Google review about it--and I understand that too. Having said all this, I want to say how genuinely well Ive been treated by the young man who manages this store, time after time after time.Has anyone noticed that since the start of the Covid pandemic, a very long time ago at this point, this young man has run this business entirely alone, attending to every aspect of this very busy operation on his own? Other reviews here allude to the father of the current manager, who used to share the workload with him. It doesnt take much imagination to realize that since Covid, it just hasnt been safe for an elderly man to be working in such a public business. What the current manager has accomplished in the last year and three quarters is pretty close to heroic.Bottom line: if youre in need of efficient, trustworthy service, you shouldnt hesitate to use this location. Sometimes what looks like the majority isnt really the majority.
