The guy that works at this location is regularly rude and verbally abusive to myself and other customers. He always speaks in a very condecending manner to those looking for service and even witnessed him yell at / verbally abuse an elderly woman about the packaging for a parcel she was returning because it wasnt overwrapped despite the original label being affixed. I asked for his name on 7/8/2022 to file a complaint and he refused to tell me and ordered me to leave. Its truly unfortunate as this is not the level of customer support I would expect from a professional business
This is a one star rating due to zero not being an option. I arrived at the store at 8:46 am, the store is supposed to open at 8:30 am. There were two elderly gentlemen waiting outside in the cold with packages. The owner could be seen inside the store, which infuriated the customers because they were not acknowledged. When he finally unlocked the door, the elderly gentlemen questioned the employee on why he was opening late and he stated, Im the owner. Apparently the owner was upset by the words of the elderly male, and he put him in the penalty box and proceeded to accommodate the other customers first. Another person handed the owner a package and was questioned if it contained a COVID test. The guy said it did and was directed to take it to another UPS location, due to the health and safety of his employees and customers. All while handling all the packages with bare hands? Appears to be more laziness rather than a concern for anyone. Three additional customers were present in the store and took their business elsewhere because of the poor attitude of the owner. I see the owner attempts to defend all the negative reviews on here, but at the end of the day he has to come to the realization that he is the problem.
I called to see about having a document printed and then delivered/mailed to a local address in Batavia. The associate literally told me they could print the document but not deliver it ... um, you do know you are UPS right? Delivery is what your company was founded on.
Giving one star too. I recently shipped something and man helped. He seemed agitated, and not really interested in helping me. THIS IS NOT NORMAL for UPS. I too have lost a package after being served by him. Very atypical for UPS. I didnt save the tracking receipt. I am planning to go back to the store and see if he/they can help me find the package. I will let you know how that experience goes.Instead, I waited on the phone twice (disconnected first time) after second 8 minutes. Man answered (only person in store and busy Monday morning). Helped find tracking in 2 minutes or less. Tried three phone numbers to reference info. Thank you for assistance.
The workers there have never been friendly and only want to get you out of the store as soon as possible not sure why. For my work I ship a good number of packages and will not use this store anymore due to the customer service I get for them, The two of them should get better social skills and maybe there would not be so many bad reviews.
Manager is the rudest person I ever met in my entire life! He should be fired! Hes a disgrace to humanity. He told me he doesnt care if I have a disability that Im not allowed in his store and to ship my package elsewhere. Will be making a complaint against him and this UPS with the ADA as well as corporate. No one should treat another human being like he did. Its not my fault I am disabled. And its against the law to not serve me because I have a disability.
If there was an option to give less than 1 star I would it. The guy that works there is rude, arrogant and unhelpful. He needs to be fired. They dont answer the phones either. I dropped off a package with shipping label on the box ready to ship. The package was never seen again. And as I waited in line her was rude to every customer for no reason.
They tried to deliver something one time but they didn’t ring my door bell or call the phone number I gave them on my shipping info or anything. I was home when they “tried” to deliver it. Then instead of just leaving it or trying again the next day... they left a note saying I have to drive to the UPS store to get it. And the store has hours that interfere with my work hours. So I’m very frustrated at their lack of effort and communication. Who does that???
Do yourself a favor and drive to a different UPS Store. The manager, Lucas was rude and abrasive to me. When I gave him 3 sealed Christmas cards I explained they had gift cards inside and for that (safety reason) I wanted them placed into the same box with some gifts. The box of gifts arrived without the Christmas cards! I was out $150 in gift cards and a personal gift check. Lucas shifted the blame saying he wasn’t the one to pack the box. He told me his coworker had and he would ask her about it. When I went back into the store several hours later to see what she had said I skirted past a line of people explaining that I “wasn’t cutting in line but just had a quick question.” No one seemed to mind...but Lucas! He said YOU’RE GONNA HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE!” (All I wanted to know was if they had by chance found the missing 3 Christmas cards last placed in Lucas’s hands.) He told me “She said she packed them in the box so I don’t know what happened.” Then added a pathetic “SORRY!” As I walked out the door.
This is the worst customer service I have experienced. I frequent many UPS stores for dropping off my pre labeled packages. I was in Batavia and asked to use the dolly but the young man behind the counter stated I could not use it. I lugged my 3 heavy packages in! Next time I brought 1 Package in went back out to my car for the other one and then he (same guy) scoffed at me stating why didn’t I use the dolly? really? Never again! I now drive the extra distance and take all my packages to Westmar Plaza where there is friendly and courteous service.I can’t believe this store is still open! It definitely gives UPS a bad name with this person working there. What a shame!
Worst customer service ever. I walked into the store without a mask on, because I didnt have one, and I cannot wear it due to my health conditions. I was making copies and was told I needed a mask to stay, but he didnt offer me one. He went straight to yelling at me, ripped my USB drive out of the printer, and told me to never come back again. There is a right way and a wrong way of doing things, and yelling at me and telling me to never come back again is NOT store policy. If youre reading this, go to the brockport UPS store. They are way nicer and have way better customer service. They also have more than one person on staff, which isnt the case in Batavia.Short story. Horrible store. Do not waste your time going here.
I have no idea why there are so many negative reviews. Every time I go to make a return, it’s quick and efficient! There’s usually little to no wait and it’s very convenient. I go out of my way to go to this particular UPS because the guy working is friendly and I never have a problemwith returns!
The young guy was rude, and didn’t seem at all interested in doing his job. Whined about having to ship things, and acted like I was an inconvenience. You don’t like shipping things? Then find a new job my guy. The Jerry Garcia impersonator working there was whining too. Horrible folks. Garbage location.
UPDATE: Not a COVID test nor did my hormone test say anything about COVID... because something says Laboratory does not deem it covid haha...as I tried to explain & I had doctor proof of that...but you can see from owners response, he does not care to listen to customers. Never going to this location again. Withholding medical care, no human being should treat another this way or manage a store. A drop box as suggested does not give me ability to scan & track my expensive medical care. There are honestly no words. Thank you for embarrassing me in front of a crowd and making my personal information public. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience.-Original:I had a package containing a hormone test kit that was prescribed by my doctor. It had a prepaid label on it addressed to a lab. The manager at the desk abruptly declared that it was a covid test. I stated what the package was and he continued to question me and assume it was a covid test. He caused a scene and would not budge from his idea and refused to accept the package. After contacting another local UPS store, they said that they should have accepted the package and ship to laboratories on a regular basis. They also said that the Batavia location has a reputation for poor service, which is consistent with the reviews on this section. He made an embarrassing scene out of a personal package that should have been a smooth transaction.
Usually always only ine person behind the counter and 15 people in line. I waited half an hour just to be seen, then half an hour more to get something printed (the computer needed to install the printing software??? Lol), and for the guy to tell me it wasnt working. Yeah, so thanks for wasting an hour of my life bud and UPS
Waited 10 minutes in line with a media package. Get to the clerk who starts yelling at me telling me they wont honor this way up glass labels. I asked to have the item shipped via media and he told me ups does not do media even though I shipped via media uos just last week. He then grabbed a stapler and threatened me. He then told me he was going to call the marines next store to beat my xxx. After I asked for the owner he explained he was the owner after I asked for store number he threatens me with the stapler once more. I asked for a maneger he told me he was calling the cops. This was handled so poor I am resorting to the better buisnes burial and calling the cops myself.
August 1st went to this store(I have gone here before) in an attempt to sent a package to Canada.since, I have done this numerous times and know what needs to be done to go through customs, I tried to explain to the young man that was there (no name tag). First I waited almost 10 minutes while he took another customer into the back. I realize he was busy, so I waited. A couple of people came in and left. One man left his package without a receipt. When this young man finally was able to wait on me, I let him know a box was left by another customer. Instead of finishing his transaction with me , he instead entered this package. I waited. Then I explained Where the numerous items needed to go..I explained he had to enter each idea separately with the price. He said no we have to weigh everything and put the declared value. Explained each idea was a different value. He continued to argue with me, I was losing patient with him. I even let another customer go ahead so they didn’t have to wait. After ten minutes of trying to explain what needed to be done and why: he stated he has never done it that way and neither has my boss. Since I sent these packages before, I knew someone in the store did it the right way. You have to make sure each idea is below $60.Cdn or the person at the other end will pay custom cost. Long story short: I called UPS international and the woman said I was correct, she even looked at the Canada custom site. I asked could you explain to the young man. I took my cell in and explained I had UPS international person on the phone and would he talk to her so she could explain. He said there was need to since I wanted to deal with his boss who wouldn’t t be in til 3 to 4. It was now after 1pm. I have been trying to get these items out since noon. I left. I have shipped from here before and never had this attitude or problems shipping to Canada. If anything they have been always very helpful. This young man was overwhelmed with customers, I understand that, but to stand there and argue with a customer when they are explaining how it needed to be done because that is the way they have had to ship before. If this young man has been lumping everything together instead of itemizing then customers are probably having to pay unnecessary custom charges. I feel I have no choice but to leave this low review because of this young man. Someone needs to teach him how to ship to Canada or he learns to say he doesn’t know how. I have formally complained to UPS international regarding the actions of this employee.Update:In response to the person who answered , well I have been doing this since 1999 and it is the way it is done. If you don’t itemize then it looks like the total cost is for one item. Hence the receiver has to pay duty. Please let your UPS international what they told me is wrong because they quoted what was Correct. But it is okay, I went somewhere else and they did it correctly.
I have recently visited the Batavia, NY store on a few occasions. Each time the young man working there was been extremely efficient, very helpful, knowledgeable and got my items packaged up, sent out and they arrived in perfect condition when he said they would. He was there by himself and did an awesome job multi-tasking and getting customers taken care of and on their way in terrific time. I would recommend going their for all your shipping needs!
I honestly cannot say Ive ever had a good experience at this store. I always have the same young man who is very curt, rude and in general acts like you as the customer is wasting his time. Ive been there when it is busy and when it is not. Ive also been told I have to buy a box to ship amazon returns when Amazon says you only bring the item and qr code - nothing else required. I end up packaging everything myself anyway to avoid being sold envelopes or boxes. I hate having to go in this store and will choose all other options instead. Do not go here unless you like being treated like a nuisance.
Went there to drop off 4 items. All I needed was a receipt for each. Was told by the young man behind the counter (1 employee and the place was swamped) that he was not allowed to give more than 1 shipping receipt per customer. I have never heard that before. He seemed very frazzled and was obviously overwhelmed. Usually I’m in and out and use UPS stores all over WNY. This is the worst location I have used to date. Get more help and train your employees better.
This shipping experience has been an absolute nightmare.I would like to speak to higher management or owner to discuss my ongoing issue with your knowledge of international parcel shipping. I attempted to send a package to England from your location on May 11th 2020 for $396.86. You should have my contact information.Please contact me ASAP as I have been advised that the package will be returned to my address and your franchise will be billed for the postage to return it. If you wait too long and the package has been returned to me, I may hang up on you as your employee did to me when I called to resolve this issue.
I was so upset with the USPS and was told to use UPS in Batavia for my needs because of the great service.Well that was the best suggestion I could have ever received! The young man named Luke was very professional,Covid-19 compliant, and had to multitask as he was the only one in the store. While in line, I observed him handle phone calls and he was very courteous when he told the person he would need to put them on hold for a few minutes. He greeted each person in line and asked how he could help them. People were coming in with packages that were returns and,boom, he took care of them very quickly and efficiently. I was amazed at how swiftly he handled all of us!This was not a one time observation!!! I came in to the store many times during COVID-19 to send packages to PA, VAand FL family. They all received their packages on the date promised in excellent condition.I was appalled to read a negative comment on Facebook a short time ago regarding the horrible service he/she received at the Batavia store.Obviously this person does not understand multitasking and seemed very narrow minded. What a shame!So how can you help me, see that this employee gets praise for all he does to keep the Batavia store a friendly environment.Thank you.Linda Giambrone
If I could rate this store 0 stars I would. These are the rudest people that could possibly own a business. The pandemic has only made them more rude and eccentric. The “karen” working there refused any kind of help to me because I had forgotten my mask. I even asked if I could leave it on the counter and walk out and wait. But still reused me service. You know that I am not wearing a mask the entire time I am handling the package before entering your store?! So my response was a “are you kidding” and “man Karen’s” was to “f-ing leave”. Real nice customer servers UPS store. So if you don’t have a hazmat suit I would not recommend going to this store.
Lucus the manager is very rude to my fiance while I was next to her when she was on the phone she didnt realize the other person could hear the when she typed because he just started giving her customer service number. She only typed one number and he rudely was saying your not typing in my ear bye and hung up. This store is a disgrace and im reporting you to the corporate.. Its obvious is not a one time thing since theirr are multiple reviews with you being this nasty to people.Grow up and have respect!
Terrible customer service from the manager. I just moved from Amherst, which I used that location many times. I will go somewhere else. I planned to get a box and would have spent a considerable amount on products because I have a business, but I will drive to a location with better customer service. From what I have read here, the owner is losing out on a lot of business the manager is costing you...
The guy who works at this ups store is a piece of work. They deliver somebodys package to my house, wrong address. So I drive over there to drop it off and he blurts at me Well you have to write wrong address on there. Like it was my job to deliver the package or something. Then says there ya go. No thank you, nothing. If I treated my customers this way Id be out of business. I called to find out how or when I could pick up a package I had coming to the Lewiston Rd Batavia, Ny location and when I called the guy I spoke to on the phone was a jerk and wouldn’t even let me get a word in edgewise. He just wanted to scream over me! Telling me they wouldn’t have my package for a few days. That’s bull! It left Syracuse, NY this morning and comes straight to them. It’s probably sitting there now but he’s too lazy to look! WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LOCATION AGAIN! Terrible customer service. You don’t like your job, find a new one dude! No reason for you to be treating customers like that. It takes someone special to work in a customer service type of job, and this guy is definitely not that type!!!!
Customer Service is horrible, wait time is horrible. Employee did not understand what I asked of him. Sent my package to the wrong address after I told him the correct address 4 times. So if you want your package to go to the correct address DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!
Very rude guy with light voice i asked for help and he was going to give me the nunber I needed to call and he rudely said your not dialing in my ear bye rudly!!!!!!!!!!!! Called at 3pm and spoke to a woman to make sure there would be a notary on site when I got there at 6pm, and I get there and the guy wants to argue with me saying I didnt call today and that I called last week. I live a half hour away and called to make sure they would be there.
Website said open until 7pm on New Years Eve. Tried to call to verify. On multiple attempts got voice recording answering and placing on hold. Noone would ever answer despite waiting or attempting to call back at various times. Arrived at the store at 4pm only to find a hand scratched sign that they would be closed at 3pm.

2022-08-04My Amazon delivery person keeps telling me that no one is at the UPS Store when they say they are open at 8:30am.Im on vacation this week and have been waiting at the location since 8:15am but no one came in on time to open. It is now 9:20am and over a dozen angry people have come and gone.The staff needs a serious wake up call.

2022-03-30This place is awesome. I bought 75 bottles of perfume from a local auction house, Every bottle was packed with great care. They packed and shipped perfume within 2 days despite the large number of bottles. The price was reasonableThe guy at the counter was very friendly and nice.I would highly recommend this company.

2022-04-27I was embarrassed and insulted by the “co-owners” of this store. They accused me of not trusting them when I asked if they could tape a box for me. I explained that I don’t know any of them personally, and it’s nothing against them and just a personal preference. They continued to berate me unnecessarily in front of other customers. I’ve never had such terrible customer service. I was told they weren’t in the customer service business but the shipping business. So I guess if you don’t mind be treated like garbage by your shipping company, then by all means. But I’d rather go just about anywhere else. Left shaking and so upset.

2022-04-13I have been to this location multiple times and the long grey haired man is always insanely rude. I started to insist that my boyfriend go in with me because of how uncomfortable the worker made me. My last straw was that I returned items the way that Amazon had requested and sent me the return code, and he proceeded to scold me about how they should be individually returned. Multiple times, even after I explained this is how Amazon requested. Forget being trained in customer service, he needs to learn how to just be a (even SEMI) polite person. Do yourself a favor and drive to another UPS location.

2022-05-14Im leaving a positive review because it appears most people dont understand how UPS works, but thats probably the fault of educational institutions.Been to this location before. I hand them my boxes. They take them. They then scan them. Sometimes they ask me how Im doing. They then hand me receipts. I then say thank you, have a great day. Or some other normal greeting.I then go on with my day. Five stars would frequent this location again.

2022-02-28The employee I always encounter at this location has zero customer service skills. I went in recently to return an Amazon order and he refused to send back my package. When I asked why he just said no, and to take it up with Amazon. No clarification, no explanation - just no.

2022-03-19Zero stars if possible. The male who said he was co-owner is rude, obnoxious and has zero customer service skills. The man in front of me who was waiting in line just asked if he could deliver a fed ex package here. Co-owner said I literally cant answer you until Im done with this customer. So the man waited in line and when it was his turn co-owner said no we dont do fed ex here. He could have easily said no while the man waited in line. When it was my turn I commented that he could have just said no to that man instead of wasting his time. He tried to explain to me how that is poor customer service. And he wasnt kind about it. That is just pathetic. He then tried to insult me as I left the store. Co-owner must have an intellectual disability and/or mental health issue. The store itself is dirty, unorganized, and smells like dirty feet. Gross male and gross store. When I called to ask a question and tell him how horrible his google reviews are he said he could care less about the reviews and it made no difference to the business. Disgusting.

2022-08-12Some might say theyre rude. Some might say they dont care about customer service. But I hate making small talk when Im trying to ship something urgent in the middle of my work day, so this location meets my needs exactly. Im additionally grateful to them for this review section, which is comedy gold.Ive been a customer for years and I dont know what your names are, and I thank you both sincerely for that.

2022-03-15I went into the store to return an Amazon package and the older man would NOT answere ANY of my questions as to what I needed to do to complete my return,as he seemed to be stuck on ask Amazon I was so upset that I had to hold back my tears, when my friend got sick of waiting he came in to check on me and he finally figured things out by simply using his own phone.i then asked if he could put some water in a cup that I had , he said no that is until I told him that it was for my dog and after all HED kept her waiting in the car for an hour!!!!Its crazy that stores as far away as Greese, Rochester and Gates have heard horror stories and are very aware of how they run things over there and as a Ive worked in retail all my life I felt it to be necessary to report this indecent behavior to the corporate offices as they are only tarnishing UPS name as Im sure theyre not too concerned of of there own. Maybe theyll find someone worthy and appreciative to have a job!!!

2022-04-20This place is the worst, this location doesnt deserve one star. The place is always filthy, the employees are really rude and also dirty. We were in this location the other day. Our return box had a small old mailing label on the box from amazon. We were told that had to be removed which we did and then we asked if they could throw it out. The dirty unkept male at the counter said they had enough of their own garbage and dont take other peoples garbage. Come on it s a small mailing label, but that reflects their customer service here! Take a look at the owners responses to the feedback that past customers have left, HE DOESNT care. Its too bad so many poeple in the area dont have other options for Amazon returns.
