The employee named Natalie here has a very bad attitude. She locked the UPS store and stepped out to run personal errands (around 3 PM) so I had to wait for 15 minutes before she came back. She was very unapologetic and had an attitude when she came back. Moreover, she told an elderly gentleman that the service he needed isnt available on a Sunday (even though he said he has received it on Sundays before) and then shut the door on him. Also, she did not wear a mask at all the entire time. I complained to Chris, the manager here. He seemed to blame customers instead and said she always wears a mask.Read the other reviews: one customer had an auto-immune disease and asked the employees to wear masks and was laughed at. These people are playing with peoples lives.How embarrassing for UPS to have such deplorable employees. I will be reporting the manager Chris and his subordinate Natalie to UPS Corporate.
Worst behavior of employees here. Asinine staff who’re rude and answer questions like they’re doing a favor. Extremely negative attitude of Chris and the other lady, Natalie working here. These people should be fired since UPS is losing its reputation because of these rude staff.
One of the female employees there has some issues. Wish I’d taken her name down. She seems to enjoy seeing the customers struggle and helpless. I was trying to ship out a merchandise and needed to buy a box big enough to fit which UPS most definitely can offer. She gave me a small/medium box which clearly couldn’t fit the item but she kept saying it is. So I politely asked for a bigger box but then she started rolling her eyes and shrugging her shoulders when she passed me a different box. Is that attitude really necessary? Time to train your employees, UPS.
Courteous and knowledgeable staff work here. I dont visit often, as its a little out of the way for me, but every time I stop in, the workers are attentive and sweet and process everything I have to give them in a fast and efficient manner. They even speak to you like youre a human being and not a doormat while joking about you to their friends theyre on the phone with (while on the job at their herald Square location! 😀) Ill definitely try to come here more often k in the future.Hope everyone at this location has an amazing holiday season and has a wonderful New Year coming up!
Marlon was amazing! Very friendly and was so willing to help me unlike other UPS stores. When I walked in he was having a fun conversation with some other customers and was just as friendly to me. Marlon deserves a raise immediately and one of the best Customer Service Associates I have seen.
Lately...one of the customer service was really unbelievable....I went and stated that I really needed notary service, however I must say her facial expression was nasty not to mention dresscode...I told her I was advised Monday to Friday 9 to 5 and what really alarm me was that she spoke to the gentleman but in the end grumbled under breath that if the gentleman wasnt there...she would never assisted me....therefore I still wasnt happy with the service because they dont notary photographs but he still did my other document...but in the end I told the gentleman that if I should come to visit Gods Willing...if I see her alone I wouldnt go to her...I dont want her to loose her job but she needs serious guidance on customer service approach regardless of who whether they have a bad day or not....why...she was nice to the other lady who needed the same service after me but never moved from her phone when I requested it. I have and still encountered unprofessionalism at my job and still have to be kind to those who are unkind to me...for her...she has preferences...but needs extra training....she really surprised me inspite this pandemic and what we face and still facing...

Nasty, entirely unhelpful employee attending the store on 7/26/2019 at 9.00am.Had an Amazon drop off (Amazon states drop off with or without box, bring shipping label and service is for free). Had the box and shipping label but the box was not taped close. All it needed was one strip of tape. The UPS employee wanted to charge me $4.00 for one strip of tape and he would absolutely not help. I left the store with my package. Entirely unreasonable and worst customer service I ever experienced at any UPS location.Also filed a complaint with Amazon about this particular store.
I think the people who work there are trained to be terrible to customers. Avoid if you can.I arrived with a box to be dropped off for delivery. A male behind the counter took one look at the box and said we cannot take it how it is. I asked about the instructions on the side of the box and all he did was repeat what he said, hands in the air as if he were washing his hands of the situation. I pressed further, thinking I followed the instructions on the box until he pointed out the box’s malfunction. When I asked him why he had to be rude and not just tell me that from the start he answer was to raise his voice, and use sarcasm to throw me out of the store. As a customer, who works for a company who are clients of UPS, I was offended by this unnecessary attack by the employee, who seemed to welcome me taking a business card to send them an angry email. As if he was positive that nothing would be done about his actions, and its fine for UPS employees to raise their voice to customers unprovoked. and have little desire to step foot in your store for any business.
This store has the worst customer service. I went today May 28 and the staff behind the counter only scanned 1 Amazon return label and refused to scan the other 3 packages unless I purchase their supplies. I informed the guy that my returns are already in the package and just FYI, Amazon allows you to return items WITHOUT packaging them noting UPS will box and print the label at no additional charge. I was doing you a favor by boxing them but it appears that you would rather scam your customers. I had to call Amazon to process my refunds and wasted unnecessary time, caused by the inefficiency and inappropriate behavior of this employee. This store is not efficient as per Amazon’s goal for its Prime members. Remember time is money, Amazon needs to reconsider doing business at this UPS location. At least Amazon’s response to this horrible experience was excellent and took note of the unfortunate event at this UPS location.
Update: Then they provide a dissertation on how I should be a better prepared customer. Way to provide an outstanding consumer experience in store and online! We are talking about tape...How about you create a line item on your budget for the consumer? $1,000 in tape every year to turn $5,000 in profit? You’re right next to Penn Station and should be providing the premier UPS experience in NYC, not the BS I went through. It’s really that simple.BUYER BEWARE.This place is a joke. I went to drop off an amazon return. As a approached the counter the clerk moved their packing tap out of my sight underneath the counter. My package was open so I asked the guy to tape it shut. He proceeded to tell me tape was $4. GTFOH
Bad customer service , incorrect shipping info, overcharging for shipping they cannot fulfill, and lying to their customers.this is not a UPS store it a franchised Store that ships for UPS and playing games with your delivery pkgs.i went in to the store back in December and asked for a guaranteed 2 day delivery, i was told that if i pay for a 2 day delivery it will be delivered by 2 days. when i got home to track the pkg they didnt update the tracking and i got worried and called to see whats going on they told me to wait. until 2 days later when it finally updated the tracking it said that it will be delayed to a unknown delivery date. when i called to ask for a refund due to the fact that i paid extra for 2 day guarantee delivery and it shows it will not get delivered till 10 days later they told me that a check will be mailed to me direct.i have been calling the local store to check on the status of the refund since i never received anything in the mail they kept telling me they are looking into it and will get back to me which they never did. finally after 2 months which i had enough of waiting i pressed them to answer whats thew story they are telling me oh sorry we cannot issue a refund due to the weather and if there is an issue u may call ups direct, when i called ups they told me sorry that we cannot issue u a refund since a request was never made with us and after 15 days later we cannot put in a request for u. and also u need to ask for a refund direct from the store since its a franchised store and they are fully responsible.they put me on hold for over 30 minutes on the phone and they simply Hong up after 30 min since they are too embarrassed to take responsibility for their mistake and handle it professionally by providing the customer something for their mistake of making me pay for 2 day shipping when they couldnt fulfill it.By Fedex its being handled much better
This is the first time I’ve come here and if I’m being quite honest I’ll never come back to this business. As soon as I walked in around 6, the girl didn’t even acknowledged me. Didn’t welcome me just continued using her phone and ignored me for at least 10 minutes. When she finally took care of me. Had nothing but a very rude attitude. As if she’s not getting paid to do her job. You need people that like they job not what you have working for you right now. I’ll definitely won’t come here anymore.
Below par, second-rate service with plentiful primitive excuses. If you would like to be hugely disappointed in UPS drop off store near you, or simply decided to punish yourself, or engage in any self-harm behavior, go there because they are below the standard you usually expect and that is softly speaking. Give it a try to a vacant stare from a bearded manager looking at you and wanting you to leave him alone and never come back. He is the UPS grinch who steals people Christmas spirit.
In an emergency situation, I trusted this UPS store to provide the service that I came to depend on for many years. Ive been loyal to UPS for shipping for 15 years (both personally and my company) but this was my first time using this store and my last time EVER using UPS. They lost my package, and the process of speaking with this stores staff over the course of 2 days was deplorable and maddening beyond words. Hours wasted trying to communicate and find a resolution . This mistake on UPS cost me over a thousand dollars - I don’t get it covered by insurance of course - and the customer service was unbelievable. I would never trust this store with anything and would not waste your time!
From my experience today, the employees were rude and had the worst customer service skills. Nobody said hello when I walked up to the counter, nor did they ask what I needed. There was nobody else in the store but me and I had to ask the guy behind the counter to help me. He then proceeded to whisper orders at me (could barely hear him) and consistently tell me I was wrong throughout the process. Worst 5 minutes of my overall very enjoyable day.
I shipped a pkg on Saturday for Monday delivery. The person behind the counter said no problem it will be there by end of day Monday. The person behind the counter charged me 70 dollars for the 1/2 lb pkg. They never shipped it till Monday night. UPS said it does take any responsibility for anything promised by employees in the UPS store. UPS then told me my pkg was out for delivery. I asked for a phone number to call the location the truck with my pkg was dispatched from and they told me they don’t have a phone there. They don’t have a phone at their dispatch center, total lie. UPS and its affiliates are liars and thieves, stay away from them.
I have had an amazing experience at this store. I often go to The UPS Store to drop off packages and have documents notarized and the staff are very helpful and accommodating. I think some of the negative reviewers are being a bit harsh and are misunderstanding the services that the UPS Store provides. The UPS Store is separate from UPS the shipping company however, The UPS Store is still a great option to choose if you need a notary, printing, faxing, shipping and mailbox services
I was in the store yesterday and the staff is amazing. They were swamped for the holiday season. And still managed to keep the line moving. I just read the comment left by Roberto Fernández there was no need to call anybody names when their trying to do their job. Chris is always super friendly and efficient. I will keep coming back.
If you come here no body really pays attention to you most employees are always on their phone and they give extreme attitude they all look miserable like they hate being there or hate attending customers. I try to give this location a chance but I see why the ratings are so low really bad customer Service here just try to avoid coming here it was good customer service at one point but I always see a new face must mean something bout this business is wrong. I found a better location check them out 4768 Broadway nice clean location.
Extremely rude behavior. I had called to ask for details of my shipment but before I could finish with my query the employee started yelling at me. Then when I confronted him for yelling he smirked and said that I was refusing to hear him out. In reality he refused to hear me out. I patiently pointed out that he was yelling which was unnecessary to which he started ranting once again and refused to help further and asked me to visit the store in person. I cut the call since I couldn’t rationalize any further with this man.
Glad I went today, Dominick was working. (I had never met him before today.) I had a printing job that turned out to be a bit difficult but Dominick was extremely tech savy and helped to make it so much easier than anticipated.It was a busy, busy Saturday and I was there for almost an hour printing and observed person after person come it totally unprepared for shipping, no idea about international customs etc. asking about other shipping methods (i.e. the competition!) Dominick remained calmed and informative. I was loosing patience just listening to them! What an asset to that store.Id go back there for any printing or shipping needs just to watch his grace under pressure!
I rented a mailbox few months ago and paid nearly $1000 for a year. I realized shortly that I don’t need it and asked to close the box and refund for the unused period. They can easily rent the same box to others and suffer no lose. However, they were very willing to cancel the account and rent it to others but unwilling to refund the unused balance! That is kind of dishonest business practice.
1st in line behind 2 people being helped and it takes 30mins for them to get to me then tell me they dont accept boxes with brown paper. Every other courier does. Now I am trying to get a box they will accept for a simple return order and will need to find another UPS that has employees that dont take 30mins to check out 1 person.
This is the only UPS location that wants to force you to buy a whole roll of shipping tape or a new envelope to secure a package. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I’ll take my business elsewhere where the employees would gladly apply a piece of tape to an envelope for free.
Walked in with a prepaid package, and asked if they wouldn’t mind putting a piece of tape on the box so it would be secure, and the guy at the front desk responded bluntly, “Go buy tape. Cheapest one is $5.” I thought he was joking, but then realized he was serious. Dude charged me $5 for a single piece of tape. Will not be coming back here again. Do yourself a a favor and walk to another store.
Rude staff. I had to return an Amazon package. Like other comments here, and whereas Amazon stating UPS will tape it for free, they forced me to buy a roll of tape for $5. Even once I bought it, they did not want to help me and let me pack my big box in front of a crowded line.
I received a notary signature as they were closing up for the night. The team was clearly pressed for time and finishing up the day, but went above and beyond to work on my request.Very respectful and service oriented location. I appreciated the extra work they put in for me as a customer.
Horrific that they simply dont have a 24 hour drop-box. FedEx Office has 24 hour locations for years. Shocked that UPS hasnt done the same, especially in NYC. Some locations have boxes in lobbies but they seem to closed after 9pm. Wish these guys would get with the program.
At first I was very sketchy from passed reviews but still went and Marlon made this process nice and easy he was very helpful with my amazon returns and was very patient i had multiple returns and he had a huge line behind me but got it done in 3 mins fast speed service.
Had an unpleasant conversation with one of the guys at the store. He gave me the receipt and I found out an error in the address right when I was about to sign it and I asked him to fix it. His attitude was very rude and told me that he knew that there was an error and still gave it to me see if I think it is okay. I mean how inefficient and risky that is...Why couldnt he just fix the error in the first place and make it right. He didnt seem to understand what was wrong or maybe he was pretending he didnt understand because he didnt want to admit he made a mistake.
Didn’t accept Amazon return; highly unprofessional staffCheating at its worst. $5 to print label for Amazon return. When I bring my own box/envelope. They tell me $5 to forcefully buy a tape.I wonder if UPS is in cost cutting model and approaching bankruptcy to deploy such tactics.

2022-02-20I was helped by Esteban and he was great! I had an Amazon return that was supposed to be picked up at my home by UPS, but wasnt so I brought it to the UPS store. Esteban helped me figure it all out, even asked to go onto my phone to cancel and re-set up what was needed for a label return. He basically did everything for me and was friendly and quick in the process. Would highly recommend him - thank you Esteban!

2022-04-05While I believe that the service provided to me was a bad apple, I strongly believe that the manager of this branch should do his/her best to train their employees. On April 5th at 12pm, I went to go drop off a package. At the register, there were two workers, a man and a woman. The woman, with large tattoos on her shoulder was obnoxiously complaining about her keyboard not working. She was in a conversation with her colleague that her enter button did not work. As a customer, I did not want to budge my way into the conversation so I waited until they could resolve the issue. However, in the middle of her keyboard rant, the woman asked are you here to drop off to which I replied yes and gave her the package. There, under her breath, she commented then dont just stand there and say excuse me. I was appalled at her audacity to 1) speak to her customers like that and 2) make a rude comment when she was the one preoccupied with her broken keyboard with no mindfulness of the customers in the store. Walking away from the situation, I was not surprised given her attitude and obnoxiousness to other customers even before the incident. Rather than acknowledging herself as a professional employee, she seemingly sat there like she was babysitting the register of a store she did not care about. Please address this with the employee as its very difficult to imagine having an employee as unprofessional as her is positive to the overall business of the branch.

2022-06-20I received the worst customer service I have experienced at this store. The cashier was terribly rude and unpleasant. I believe her name was Cassandra. Then, to make matters worse, when I complained this is a service business, a man behind her (named Bill) chimed in adding fuel to the fire. Too much competition - USPS is right around the corner. I will never go back. Some one needs to train these employees properly.

2022-03-19So far they are kind,attentive and efficient. Ive mailed stuff, scanned emailed notarized. Ever affordableish and been in and out in 2 minority smiles on all different and sane workers faces. So happy they opened here. This is the new location on 29th west side near 7th ave.

2018-10-22Rip off, just went to drop off some Amazon boxes, was told for the label I had to print/rent their computer, was charged $5. Then the guy told me I had to buy boxes. Free pickup from amazon is definitely better. Since I would not buy a box he would not accept my packages.Here is my reply to UPS comment, Amazon states to take shipping code and UPS will print label, picture below, not rent a computer print your own label

2019-11-15Wipe out these employees and start over. Miserable attitudes and poor treatment of customers. They’d rather chat about what they want to eat without acknowledging customers. Completely unprofessional people at the registers. Act like customers are a problem. They all need training from corporate. Better places to use in this area.

2022-01-31The store opens at 8:30am not whenever the employees feel like getting there! It’s a consistent problem of wanting to use this store on my way to work instead of using my lunch hour and more than half the time it’s 10 - 20 minutes past opening time and the place is dark and locked.

2021-07-24This is probably the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. I had the package ready to be shipped. Needed small piece of tap - just to close my box. They asked me to buy the whole tape box. Please walk away from this UPS. 3 blocks down, there is another UPS store with much nicer ppl and wonderful service. The person in the counter was very rude, and had no consideration for whatsoever… this is my first bad review in Yelp about a service.

2021-01-31After looking for an open UPS all day, I finally found one. This is by far the nicest UPS I’ve been to in the city. Marlon helped me the moment I walked in. He’s super sweet and wonderful energy. He answered all my questions and helped me ship off my amazon package! This truly has been the best UPS experience I’ve had in a long time. Definitely worth the trek in this cold weather.
