The UPS Store in other cities:
Derek was super helpful and I had an overwhelming amount of Amazon returns to make all at once and the sku codes were confusing and he made it easy by explaining I could group my items by category and not have to stress about making sure the codes matched as long as they were the same category item which made the whole process take less than a minute which was amazing!
Very incompetent workers. I paid $260 to send an international package for something that’s worth $100 because my family needs it. The staff does not know any custom rules whatsoever. However I did the research and told them to put the value in, which was $100 total. But he did $100 per piece, which came out to be $1,000 total. Then of course custom called me and said it’s a problem. I went back to the store, they said there’s nothing they could do. I called corporate, they said actually they should tell me to update the invoice (so yes there was something they could do). So I updated the invoice myself the very next day. Two weeks later package was sent back to sender because I did not update it “in time”. You can imagine how furious I was? Funny thing is - apparently “sent back to sender” meant sent back to the UPS store. So I went back. The worker could not find the package. I found it from a pile of boxes. And he just gave the box to me without asking for anything. From beginning to end, a very consistent good for nothing store.
Just like a standard UPS Store. But avoid going when you are in hurry during quarantine. There are only one staff and because of social distancing, only one person can go in the store. The rest of the people have to line up outside of the store. There were about 7 people waiting and I had to wait for 20~30 minutes.
This UPS center has the most acidic, condescending, and full of attitude woman behind the counter. She is a Hispanic-looking lady with dark painted extra-long finger nails. The products being sold at this shop are good. But her attitude just ruin the entire experience.I am a visitor, so this is a one off. But imagine if this happened to be your neighbourhood delivery center ……I know UPS delivery drivers are the nicest people in Manhattan. Helpful, friendly and pleasant overall. This lady came as a shock, really……
I had a small thin envelope delivered a week ago to this store and picked it up this morning. The manager charged me $24 ($6 for everyday the envelope was there). She looked pleased and said well I did not charge you for the weekend. I use UPS all the time but no way will I moving forward. Stay away.
Rhondalisa is a miracle worker. On a very busy Saturday, she was the only one to take care of clients. Rhondalisa has been working with the speed of light without sacrificing quality or acting overwhelmed, which most people would experience in this situation. Despite being extremely busy, she stayed friendly, courteous, and positive. Wow! The best experience Ive ever had at any facility of this kind. She deserves the raise!!! I hope the owner will read it and recognize her work and the difference she makes.
Worse UPS I’ve ever been to. Lower Manhattan 3pm Saturday I waited almost a half an hour just to drop off a package. When I complained about the wait instead of Rhondalisa just apologizing or saying nothing. She chose to take my complaint personal like she was waiting on me! Or like I said something about her. The complaint was meant for management but instead she took it personal. Hope she makes manager. Stupid people even worse customer service
I am 78 years old and around 2pm today I waiting on line to get into the store 15 minutes. The lady at the desk finally let us all in and allowed the guy that was behind me to skip the line and served him before me. When I complained she ignored me and I didnt even get an apology from her. She definitely had a bad attitude.
So I was one of those horrible customers that comes running in 2 minutes before the store closes because I was having printer issues... Lets just start there... I live across the street and called 3 minutes before it was about to close and said I was coming and asked if I needed to bring my own envelope and the guy goes oh well the computers are going to shut off... I said, Wait, what? That doesnt answer the question, do I need to bring an envelope or now? The guy goes Oh, no you can buy one here.I came running in and the guy gave me a rude sigh (fine I deserve it for coming in 2 minutes before the place closes). Then he says Okay so the UPS guy just left so this wont get out until tomorrow. I said Sure, thats fine, I just need to send itBasically everything I did and said he wanted to give me bad news, but I wasnt phased. Then the UPS delivery person who he said left came back into the store and said to me Oh, I can wait until youre done to take your package. Which is the only thing that redeemed this UPS store. He was kind and waited the minute for me to put the address and mail off my parcel.I get that its not ideal for a customer to come 3 minutes before closing but just help me so I can be on my way without the rudeness unless I did something to truly deserve it. This person was just having a bad day and I happened to be a good target.
I will never trust this store or UPS again. We had to get an important document to my son in North Carolina. We paid $46.57 to make sure it got there ASAP. The envelop[e was lost and never found. There is no way to know where the package was lost - at the store or by UPS - since the first scan for tracking purposes does not take place until sometime after it gets to the sorting location. The store owner did call me and expressed his apology for the lost envelope but none of that fixes the grief my son has had because of this lost envelope (including a possible lost job opportunity). UPS did an investigation as well but I cant properly relate what I think of the kind of people (4 of them) who called us during this investigation. They actually asked if we had a problem with the package! Yes, we had a problem. It is lost!!! UPS eventually gave us a $250 goodwill payment to ease our pain. Since it cost us $187 because of this lost item, the extra $63 is hardly considered goodwill by me and my family. It hardly puts a dent in the number of hours spent running around to fix the problem and the worry over identity theft that is still not over. I was told, when I tried to explain my feelings about the amount of goodwill that goodwill payment are non-negotiable. I will never trust this store or UPS again for anything but prepaid returns of online purchases.
Rip off. I went in there looking to ship a medium box. First they wanted to charge me $33 for a box for a 18 x 15 x 7 item that was not at all fragile or valuable. $33! For a cardboard box! Seriously, how can the teller honestly try to charge me $33 for a cardboard box? Having just moved, I was literally in a different UPS store last week and they charged me $7 for large moving box, more than 3x the size I needed for the item I wanted to ship. Then they wanted $46 for ground shipping which again was absurd. Thats the same cost as the large moving boxes I just shipped with UPS which were multiple times larger and heavier. Went to the post office and they charged me $11 priority mail for the same item. Ive shipped with UPS before, no big deal, UPS is great. This place however is a rip off. A scam. Should not be an official UPS shop.
Went to this UPS location this morning on the recommendation of a Chase bank manager for notary services because their own notaries did not come in early enough for me to make my 10a bus at port authority. When I arrived at UPS between 22 & 23rd on 2nd ave i asked notary Lissette Apolo what were the fees. She said any where from $2-5.00Then she examined my documents carefully (So I thought )and tells me “ oh it’s- $2 -you can sign it” when I separated the documents in to 2 pages and signed them Lissette now says “Oh I didn’t realize it was 2 pages- it’s actually $4! So I said “Why didn’t you say that before telling me to sign it because now I can’t go to another notary with a pre-signed document and since this was “your” error why don’t you charge me only $2 any way as a courtesy?!! Lissette then replies “ Well if you don’t have enough on you then I’ll be here other days during the week you can come back then...”So I’m thinking like I have time to waste like that on this kind of BS!!! I was so furious I didn’t say anything else and she offered a receipt but I waved it off. It was only $4 but her actions and responses were so off the mark and a prime example of poor customer service that I called it in to UPS corporate and decided to just blow her up in the store reviews! This was so unbelievably rude and I just couldn’t help feeling like I got “played”-so I’m just sharing my notary experience there so it doesn’t happen to others! My experience there with this totally sucked!👎🏽🤬
I have been coming to this UPS location for the past ten years. Lisette in particular has helped me at Christmas time mailing gifts, at tax time faxing my returns to my accountant and various other UPS related personnel important matters of mine.Lisette in particular has always been helpful and thorough helping me.She is an important employee for UPS.Thank you.Kathryn Cavanagh/McKee
Lissette and her staff made my moving experience more smooth by calmly helping me and answering all of my questions, and shipping my stuff cross country with ease. Felt super confident with their excellent service and everything arrived in great condition. Thanks for your help 23rd and 2nd!
I used to like going to this UPS store, and I still do, but you should ONLY go if you have a prepaid label and your box is taped up. Brought your own box? Good. Do you need to print your prepaid label? Thats over $2. Is your box taped? No? Thats another $2. Their computers might be down, too. That happens frequently, apparently.
I am very mad at this location Notary service. I made appointment at 12:30pm today and the notary was not even there, and apparently nowhere to be found as per UPS employee. So my question is why are you accepting appointments? If there is nobody to do notary services just inform the people who made appointments via email or phone as you ask for it!!!I wasted my time and money as I had to leave work for this.
This place is the most disorganized scam outfit Ive ever seen. They charge a holding fee of $12/day without notification to recipient or sender that the package has arrived. It took them one day to even find the package after I arrived at their location even though the store is 5 square feet. Stay away!

2022-06-24The store manager is incredible - Lis. Never in my life have I seen someone who can multitask and work so efficiently. And always with a smile. Derrick is also amazing. I’ve been going to the store for years, and he is a newer edition and really makes it so incredibly easy to ship and package for me. I’m so grateful for the store

2022-07-18Really wish I looked at the reviews first. Do NOT print here. Its $3 to use the computer, even if its for literally 1.5 minutes. And 0.45¢ per page printed.Edit in response to the UPS comment: its not *clearly* marked, especially when youre in a hurry. I normally print at Staples where you just email it to them and boom, they print it - so easy. But UPS is closer so decided to try them. There is no option to email and print. So you have to use the computer. I see the charge of $3 for use of computer for 8 minutes. That does not translate in my hurried brain that I will be charged $3 for even 1 minute of use. Its excessive. My initial comment is not a complaint - it states that I wish I looked at reviews first and the prices charged - everything is a fact. But now I will complain as the price is exceedingly high compared to competitors and a less efficient service being provided. You can see all of my other reviews for countless other places, I give mostly 5 star reviews. If I give a bad mark, its for a justifiable reason. Would rather walk a couple extra blocks for the Staples.

2022-05-13Jenna (sp?) was FANTASTIC. I had a very confusing return - ugh, and I never shop Amazon otherwise - and she was courteous, respectful, and so helpful - also unbelievably calm. I had papers flying everywhere.Obviously i dont know if my items will successfully make it to their final destination but Jenna was so refreshing that i wanted to share this immediately. I saw that she was a trainee (badge): hold onto her, UPS!!

2022-06-18Brad Kaplan, Lisette and team were absolutely incredible. They helped us pack and ship more than 20 boxes to multiple addresses during a very stressful family situation. They arranged to pick everything up from the apartment including fragile items that had yet to be packed. The follow through and service was outstanding!

2022-06-16Beware - it costs $4.79 to print ONE piece of standard black and white paper. If you have to print here, save yourself the money and bring it on a flash drive. Who even uses flash drives anymore? The sign is not clear and they staff will not tell you about the $4 computer fee before you email your document to them.Btw the UPS on 3rd charges $2 for a computer fee and FedEx doesn’t change.

2022-08-06Wont Print LabelsI dont have a printer (surprise, its 2022), so I walked in with a label on my phone and asked if they were able to use it. They said they could print it for me, but itd be a $4 fee + $0.50 per sheet of paper. Obscene.
