The UPS Store in other cities:
Wont accept large packages. Had five commercial returns, only 24x36 light thin plastic trays. Said he would accept 2 out of 5. Only 2? What? Asked him to print labels and wouldnt direct which labels he printed were for which packages. Does anyone even do their job here? Go somewhere else.
I went to the store to drop off Spectrum hardware. My daughter and I were kindly greeted by the employees. They were courteous and helpful. When I got home I realized that I lost my receipt (and undoubtedly would need for Spectrum to avoid being charged for the equipment). Instead of having to go all the way back to the store with my 20 month old, I called the store and Riaz graciously helped by emailing me a copy of the receipt.I am very appreciative and will definitely be using this location as my default shopping center.
This is the most incredible neighborhood store. Great work ethic, precise and really warm people. We share holidays and info about our families. Best kept secret. Check them out, you will not be sorry. Tell them Randi sent you! I bought my very first P.O. box when they opened and have been a loyal customer for since the beginning.
Usually when go to the UPS downtown i usually get some type of cold service from people who clearly hate their job. But today and a time before, I had the BEST service from UPS. Riaz helped me with my Amazon package to the extent that he helped me packaged it and taped the box for me which saved me 3.99 on tape. Thank you so very much!
I had a great and extremely informative phone conversation with a representative from this UPS Store, surprisingly positive given the negative reviews written before mine.I asked about shipping a suitcase, and the representative told me all about the best ways to ship luggage (wrapping is more expensive and less safe than boxing), was extremely nice, and volunteered many details off the top of his head without me asking (box sizes, store location and hours, the time of the last pick-up of the day, etc). I asked him about printing shipping labels ahead of time, and he said it is best that they do it in the store for a case like this. Doing it on the website requires me to weigh the package myself (I dont have a scale) and also figure out which type of box I am using, which is not apparent from the website either, so I believe him that the best way is in-store.I will update my review after I go to the store, if my experience is at all negative.
I was shocked at how such a simple thing as mailing a package that is already boxed and paid for could be so painful.I walked in and before I could say anything I was greeted with a sneer, as if I had somehow intruded into this mans store. I told him I would like to ship this package and that I already had a paid shipping label, I just needed to print it. He told me it would cost $2.50 to print the label. Shocked, I told him: no no I already have a paid tracking number, I just need to have the UPS label printed and pasted on the box. He rolled his eyes and pointed at the computer, It costs two dollars to use the computer and fifty cents per copy. I asked him if I could just provide him with the tracking number and he replied with a stern no. I told him I could not pay him $2.50 to print out a UPS label and he shrugged and told me to have a good day.I was absolutely shocked at how horrible this customer service was! At this point, I would rather deliver the package myself than deal with this man. It was pouring rain and I had no umbrella, but stubbornly I pushed the package under my shirt and trudged 10 blocks to a nearby UPS store with good reviews located on 81st and 1st ave.At the 81st and 1st location I walked in and was greeted as if I were an old friend. I nervously told them I had no shipping label and they directed me to the computers which I used to print the label at no cost. I handed them the label and they told me they would put it on the package for me and thanked me for coming in.I am tempted to call UPS and tell them about the stark contrast between my experience at the two stores. I will never go to the 73rd/2nd location again.
They do NOT accept packages even though the are listed as a UPS access point. They refuse the package and have it sent back to seller. This goes against UPS policy and I have a call with the north east UPS division head Monday morning to discuss this matter so hopefully they will face repercussions for these inexcusable actions. Some time it pays to work for the BBB.
Do not have any packages shipped here!!!!!!!!!! It can turn into a nightmare. I made the mistake of using GAP store shipping option to send my packages here Dec. 2021. After receiving pickup email, I went to the UPS store to find out that they literally only have space for 10 packages to be held there overall, and they have and will refuse to receive all my packages!!; because the store is so small. And if you go in there you could see they use most of their space to receive returns. — Their protocol of refusal made a nightmare where I had to chase down my packages with UPS. Had to call UPS multiple times and then ended up having to go to the customer service center on 11th avenue to pick up my packages. Meanwhile UPS never notified me by call text or email of the status of my packages at all. And when I went on the UPS app and website it did not give any information of where my package was and this was because this UPS store had denied to receive my packages. This UPS store should not be able to be selected for shipping option at all. It is a disgrace as a ship to option.
They refused my package and when I showed them my app and they showed me their computer they said it was the delivery teams fault not theirs. So I did some research and without a doubt they refused my package. I thought the would say me time and stress but I was sorely mistaken. Not happy at all
I should have read the reviews before I got there.I did a calculated cost online and the price was 23 dollars.then I got there and they told me it would be 58 dollars.I ask them if it would cost less to print a shipping label online and they told me the price is the same, I believed them and then I went home and checked again. And sure enough the lied to me and charged me 35 dollars extra and it was more than a double.these people are thieves and I am very sorry I ever went there.
Very nasty old guy ( around 55 years) I was Paid for the Label but when I tried to give the box to him he said he doesn’t have space Come back in one hour ,,,, he doesn’t do his Job ,, also doesn’t tell me the name ,,,, I don’t know who hired these people ,,,,Everybody complains about the workers at this store!!!
I just want to the store to droop my package ( one this DNA test ) I opened my little package by mistake so I asked a fat, talk and white hair guy for a little bit of take and he asked me for money instead of the tape .. When I said what ??He got very rude and disrespectful trying to kick my out of storeI asked his name and he refused to tell me his mane … I am pretty sure he is must prove that information when a customer requestedHe was wearing a little blue polo and was really nastyFortunately, there was a gentleman wearing ups uniform who helps meMeanwhile he was hello me the nasty guy was pushing him “Not To Help Me “Unfortunately, I had to this with this company instead of FedEx where peleo are nice & have the sense of customer service

2022-07-12Very helpful and courteous staff! despite being slammed and having long line, the gentlemen who run this store are always kind and ready to help. Ive seen many Amazon customers yell at them when that is simply the Amazon system and not them. Would highly recommend them for your shipping and drop off needs!.

2022-07-09Slowest, smallest UPS location ever. Always a line out the door of at least 5 people waiting just to get inside to drop packages. Find another location if you are able.

2022-01-29The two men behind the counter were working at a snails pace with a line out the door. When you finally are able to get served, my rep was crabby and unprofessional. Why do people with this attitude and demeanor own a UPS franchise?? Everyone on the line was rolling their eyes at these two men, but one woman summed it up best to the four surrounding patrons: if there was another UPS option in the area, these two idiots would be out of business in a day. After three similar (miserable) experiences here, I will lug my packages to a different Store on my way to work. I hate giving business to unappreciative personnel who keep a filthy store with awful attitudes.

2022-02-10Many upper East-Side UPS stores may look the same, but given that they are...franchised, they vary greatly in their pricing and level of customer service.Yesterday (2/9/22) at Store # 1083 (East 65th Street; between First & Second Avenues); I was charged $16.06 for the printing of a 12-page color document. At the conclusion of the job, when I asked why I was being handed back pages that were in...Black & White, I was told that had I wanted the output to be in color, I should have MENTIONED IT EARLIER; at which point I (presumably) would have been told that the color printer“ wasn’t working ”. My response was that the document was in color, so I expected the printout to be...in color. I mean, who wouldn’t ?What followed was a nasty, heated argument in which I insisted that I was being cheated, while the store clerk denied any wrongdoing and childly parroted my words.Today (2/10/22) I returned to the store, handed back the pages to a different employee and was given a full credit. I then walked over to store # 5899 (East 73rd Street & Second Avenue), and in no time at all had a very nice man print the same 12 pages -- in color – and all for only $12.93.Whoever manages these two locations: kindly take note.

2021-06-25Having this place in the neighborhood makes life so much easier! I’m constantly in there with Amazon returns and they make it so quick and easy. I’ve also used them for packing/shipping and printing needs and have never been disappointed. The guys working there are truly so friendly, helpful and patient despite the fact that they’re always so busy.

2021-10-28Being able to make Amazon returns here is seriously helpful but I have never seen this place open on time. It is rude and disrespectful to the customers, who are usually there lining up 20 minutes before opening... and then left standing there for at least 20 minutes after opening. No regard for the fact that other people have to be getting to work as well and WE arent able to just show up to work whenever we please.
