The UPS Store in other cities:
Omg I gave them a second chance and they wreaked havoc on my Christmas gifts. 0/5 stars if I could.Old review:Do not go here. The printer is broken, instead of printing a one page return label it spit out 32 pages of gibberish. The manager did not care, tried to get me to pay more to use their computer, and then charged me $26 for 32 sheets of useless pages. He’s the worst customer facing employee I have ever interacted with.
Disgraceful hours of operation. Showed up here 10 mins before closing time last night (Thursday) and they had shut the store and gone home early. Then showed up at 9am this morning (Friday - when the store is supposed to open) and waited for 30 MINS while the store remained shut when it was supposed to be open. In the end I had to leave. This shouldnt be so considered a UPS store if they cant even open for their customers. I heard someone else who was waiting outside for the store to open say, Ok, I guess Im changing to FedEx. Disgraceful business operations.
That was the worse experience I had in the store located at 1202 Lexington Ave. I went there around 11am the guy didnt even respond to my good morning and when I asked a question he turned his back on me and kept walking to another room they have there. I had to say again excuse me can at least you answer to my question but when he answered he was very unprofessional, he lacks of customer service. Let me tell you something...if he doesnt wants to deal with customers then he cant work. He needs to be trained. I will never go to that store again.
My experience at this store was phenomenal, the customer service was great, the employees are extremely professional and have great customer service. The customer always come first, every time I pickup a package from there, I never want to leave. The manger CJ, as well as her co-workers have a great personality and always make each customer feel welcome. You can’t always believe people review, because most of the time the customer that writes bad reviews are trying to be to be petty because they did not get what they wanted. But me as customer that’s been going to this store for almost two years they are great employees. Seriously!
This UPS store is awful. I brought in an amazon package to return. He said it needed to be taped even though Amazon says you don’t need packaging. But I didn’t want to argue. He scanned the QR code but for whatever reason it didn’t go through. But he didn’t tell us that. So we assumed it had gone through. A couple hours later, amazon still hadn’t acknowledged the return had begun to process so I called the UPS store and spoke to Malik. He was completely unhelpful but said that because the package has gone out with their other packages he couldn’t correct the QR code issue. So I called Amazon and Amazon fixed it. But avoid this UPS store. Besides the long lines and early closings others mentioned, they are incompetent at the most basic task.
This the only time a UPS store refused to give me a receipt for my Amazon returns. The employee was cool and all, no disrespect to her. Maybe it’s a new policy. She said I was suppose to get an email but I never did. No tracking number needer. Honestly I’m a little nervous. ☹️
I have been avoiding this location due to the awful Google Reviews. Yesterday I went to this UPS location to complete a return and had the best experience! I was assisted by CJ and Mileek (my apologies I am probably misspelling), they were both very patient, kind, and helped with a ridiculously confusing Amazon return. Please dont skip out on this location due to the negative reviews. Very kind and friendly staff! Store is also very clean and tidy
I only came to this location one time and I must say i will never go there again!! I have never been anywhere so unprofessional in my entire life. The female manager there is completely rude unprofessional put you on hold without asking you to be put on hold. Doesn’t even give a name when asked what their name was. I had gave an issues with my ID and I called ups(main) to get clarification and when I call back to the access she still try to give me an issue. Horrible phone service through all your future customers a favor and go back to retail etiquette class.!
I have been going to this store FOR YEARS. They have always been helpful with packing and sending my packages. Of course they are expensive - its not the post office but I have never had to wait behind more than 2 people to be served which can save my valuable time. Everyone is kind and funny if you are too - be polite and understanding and your attitude will be returned ten fold.
I go to this ups store frequently and I’ve noticed the lines are getting very long as well as the customer service is lacking . I realized the problem there is usually one employee at the register Malek. He is usually the one who is working while I would see the female sitting or going into the back room( work related I hope) but even if it is work related I can’t understand why she can’t help him with the customers ? I hate to write this poor review but I stood on line for 20mins outside watching one employee(Malik) work and seeing the other basically do nothing. How unfortunate. Hopefully management does something.
Went there to return an Amazon purchase the gentleman stated I needed to purchase an envelope in order to do my return . When I clearly states on Amazon return process the ups will package, print , and return label . Was in a rush and wished not toargue. The gentleman either needs to be retrained or not be employed. It clearly states upon the return process “ no need to package or print label” per AMAZON. Clearly the company that is keeping UPS afloat.
Extremely rude customer service is about the only reliable thing at this location.***Updated: To see how badly this location needs to learn the meaning of customer service, look at the owner’s attempt to gaslight me in the response below. Their reply is not at all how it played out.As they are finally admitting for the first time in the reply below, I was indeed right about the service I requested from them, the very people who are in business to provide such services. I walked in calmly, and with no need or expectation for incident (who the heck wants an incident when they’re trying to mail a package?!), tried to show them that Amazon had this new service that not only allowed, but quite literally demanded, that I return the package to them without printing a label or packing the item. Since this was new to me, I was trying to explain to them that there seemed to be some sort of new service in place. I asked the guy behind the counter several times to please just look at my phone and read the message for himself, so he could see what I was seeing (which included a code he was supposed to scan). But he wouldn’t listen to me. He kept saying, gruffly and without care, that they would not accept the package in this condition, that I had to tape it up, etc. He simply would not listen to the one and only thing I was trying to tell him—which was the very thing that would have kept this bad experience from happening! But he was not really the problem—his colleague CJ was. When she came out from the back, presumably to help me and to help him understand my service request, she was ten times worse than he was. Whereas he was mostly just aloof, she was downright rude. When I tried to explain the situation to her and show her my phone with the instructions, she was at first dismissive and then exceedingly rude. She just had a nasty attitude and didn’t want to do the one thing that I, the customer, needed her to do in order to get me out of the store (my only goal). Yes, she was speaking to him about logistics, as the owner accurately states in the reply, but her interactions with me were crass, disrespectful, and unprofessional. After a minute or two of this I told her there was no need for her tone, which just made her attitude that much worse.I did not “storm out fo the store.” In fact, I stood at the counter for a bit after they finally took my package and just waited for someone to tell me that the package was indeed suitable to mail. I had no expectation of a sorry, but I at least expected confirmation that the package was going to be shipped. But no one said anything to me. I asked “am I done?” or something like that, and then left, quite appalled by how the whole thing went down. It was an appalling experience. But again, they are now fully admitting that my service request was indeed accurate. Had they simply listened to me and replied at the beginning, “Oh, I’ve never heard of this new amazon policy, let me see that message and let’s figure this out together,” none of this would have happened. But that’s not at all what happened. Because that’s *never* what happens at this location. They operate with this weird attitude like the customer is always wrong. That is why you see this reflected in all online reviews for this location. The store on First Avenue is the complete opposite experience, btw. Courteous and professional every time.
Note that this office does _not_ feel obliged to honor appointments made through their web site, even if they have been confirmed via email. They instead recommend phoning for an appointment. I wish they had informed me of this before I received my confirmation, donned mask and gloves, and walked to their store, only to hear the manager explain to another irate customer that their notary had already left for the day.
If I could give no star for this particular UPS Store, I would! They made me wait for over an hour to notarize some paperwork, that I needed done that day...Nancy, the owner, was more concerned about putting money in the meter for her new convertible BMW parked outside, than taking care of the many irate customers lined up out the door...I tried to be understanding but when the line and the problems would not let up, I eventually went to the another UPS store at 96th street and had great service! Should have gone there in the first place !!!It was not just me...An elder woman, in a wheelchair, came in to complain about some unsigned papers Nancy had refused to notarized...Nancy was rude and condescending to the woman and her friends (I thought at first maybe the older woman was just being difficult, but when it came to my turn with Nancy and she was rude and snippy with me as well about what she would and would not sign, I knew then that the older woman had a just cause!). When I needed one more page emailed, to be signed, I had to wait another thirty minutes to get back in line, it was then that I realized this was not a place of true service and took my business elsewhere, where it was truly appreciated! I did another $50 worth of business at 96th UPS office and was glad that I did not contribute another dime to the 1202 Lexington Store! The new employee that was in training that day, did not care that she did not want to learn any processes or to be of any help! She was a hinderance in my eyes and was only going to bring the place down further! I was there for almost 2 hours waiting my turn and Nancy, ignored me like I was a store fixture and never once made an effort to help finish up my job! RUN DONT WALK TO THE NEXT STORE!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!
If I could give zero stars, I would. POOR customer service that does not understand ADA rules for service animals. Demanded to know what my service animals was for even after I told them it is against the law to ask me that.It is also the only store that does not give a receipt for Amazon returns.
Please update your online notary scheduling with accurate times. I scheduled a notary appointment for this morning and when I arrived, I was told by the store employee that the notary would only be there from 2-4pm. Given the risks of covid, this is completely inexcusable that your online scheduling is not up to date during this time. Fix it so others are not unnecessary put at risk.
WARNING, super super rude and unprofessional customer service from the same staff. It’s not the first time we received this super rude service from the same lady, we don’t know her name, but today it’s Oct. 20th Sunday afternoon, and again she’s there just giving all the rude and inpatient response to every customer. Never trying to be helpful, never listen and explain. This is the reason why this store has such a bad review and why we choose to use other carriers.
Worse experience in a UPS ever. I had gone to my usual UPS store on Sunday in Brooklyn and sent in my passport for renewal. It was returned by passport services in Tx for sig issue..upon arrival the clerk was looked at me and said we cant send to PO box. She finally agreed that to send USPS. She was rude very unprofessional..i will never go back there!
EXTREMELY RUDE! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE.THE DELIVERY DRIVERS LIE AND SAY THEY DELIEVERED PACKAGES WHN THEY DIDNT. THERES ALWAYS AN ISSUE ANYTIME I HAVE TO DEAL WITH UPS. USED UPS MY CHOICE AND THERE WAS STILL AN ISSUE. THE WORST SERVICE EVER !! FROM NOW ON I WILL LITERALLY GO OUT MY WAY TO USE ANY OTHER SERVICE BESIDE UPS!!!!! I WISH I COULD GIVE IT 0 STARS

2022-05-01No line, no wait, but a very grumpy associate manned the receiving area. She didnt even look up, just pointed. When i asked for a receipt, she said i dont need it. Amazon will send me one. She said this as if I asked for her to work extra hours or something horrible. I understand it can be exhausting, maybe boring sometimes, but you cant man any front desk if you are grumpy. We all have personal concerns. Doesnt help anyone if youre miserable doing your job:-(

2022-06-18SCAM! Customers beware! When I was trying to return two identical items (each items in separate boxes) from Amazon with a single QR code, this lady at the front tried to charge me $40 for a box instead of explaining to me that I can make two separate QR codes for each items. When I personally figured out the way and avoided being ripped off, she tried to charge me $2 each for sealing the box which was already taken care of. On top of this she was rude, unprofessional, and gave me an attitude that just wasn’t understandable. I wonder how a single box can cost $40 and this for me accounts to a SCAM. I can’t believe this store with such negative reviews has been serving this beautiful community without showing any effort to improve themselves.

2022-08-06Even one star is a waste.Such a bad feeling that they leave you.I came back to re-write how they can ruin your feeling and worst experience on top of already tired enough day.I gave it one star to write a review.I get more stressed whenever I walk into this store. Attitude is not on their policy so they don’t know how to serve. They would be the best teachers to teach about “UPS policy” 🤦🏼♀️I don’t want to do any business with this kind of company AT ALL.It is a shame.

2022-06-21I had my work laptop shipped to this store and they wouldnt let me pickup the laptop due to worker not having time to look for my package. I had to come back later that day and got charged $40 to pickup the package which arrived that morning. That was 3 weeks ago. Fast forward to today, my work/UPS never sent a tracking number for a 2nd package. So I went in and asked if they could check for my package using my ID. They refused to at first saying they couldnt look it up without the tracking number. Tried again and it was literally right behind them. They then tried to charge me $108 to pick the package up bc it had been sitting there since last month. Which when I came in 3 weeks ago, THEY MADE NO MENTION ABOUT IT. It looked like a scam honestly, so I told them to keep it. Woman was rude and unhelpful. Lied through her teeth. Trainee was nice and I felt bad for him. Never come here. They lie and try and scam you.

2022-07-28If you compile all the degenerates in NYC, you will find them here at this UPS store location. Expect extremely poor, disrespectful service and attitude. Both trainees and managers alike are incompetent, rude, dishonest, and LAZY. These are people who truly don’t give a F—K. Congrats UPS; you win for the WORST customer service and employees on the planet. Certainly the worst I’ve experienced in my lifetime. -5 stars would be my true rating but 1 is the lowest option.

2021-12-21Requested and paid $5.99 to have my package delivered to this UPS store as my pick up point. Because you would figure it would be the safest place for it.Received a text message saying it was delivered, and even and email from the company it was purchased wit confirmation of delivery.Packages was not at the original residential location. So went to check the store.Waited on line 25 minutes behind 5 people. Watched a 15 year old girl get ignored. Watched people ask for help on which delivery form was best only to be told to just pick one. When I finally got to the teller and explained and showing her my phone that I had received notification of delivery and that the pick up point was here, I was told by the girl at the desk that they dont collect packages. I said is this not 1202 Lex? She said yes you have to pay for packages to be there. After telling her I did PAY FOR IT. She took the last numbers of my tracking and told me it wasnt there. Then I asked if there is any way she can help me she just said no call UPS. And then tried to explain to me why she couldnt help me in the most annoyed attitude as if I was burdening her for checking to see if my marked as DELIVERED package was at the location I PAID FOR IT TO BE.Dont work at UPS if you dont want to be there.

2022-02-22Went there for finger prints today. There was absolutely no help from the two people worked there today. I struggled for 30 minutes and kept asking for assistance. I am pretty sure I need to re-do the finger prints. But I will go to any place but this horrible UPS store.

2022-07-24Typical UPS Store. Id avoid this place any day after 3pm, as they tend to get backed up and the staff is not the quickest.

2022-07-23Poor customer service with little attention to detail. Location always has long lines with employees with no sense of urgency.
