The UPS Store in other cities:
I had the displeasure of being helped by the worst UPS employee ever! Took horrible passport pictures kinda on purpose and there I have to decide if I’m gonna tell off a man in his 40s for doing such a bad job. Won’t go there again. Veer Enterprise is a nearby location that does UPS too, try there, the guy is always friendly and never messes up.
I been using this UPS store for long time. Now they doing business very well at the same time they become more arrogant and very rude to the customer. I will never ever go again. Rather like to drop my package at the small bag store on 50th ave and 45th st next to laundromat. They except the ups.
I come here at least once a month and everyone is kind and prompt. Recently I went in after the new year to ship out some gifts for people I couldnt see and I had alot plus Amazon returns. The guy Tom that works there was the best. He didnt make me feel bad abt all the work I was giving him like some people would. He was polite professional and has a great attention to detailThanks Tom
This store ripped me off by saying that a USB inserted directly into the printer to print two pages of document also counts as using a computer and therefore must be charged with 0-15 mins of computer use, which makes absolutely no sense! If all youre coming in for is to print documents, go elsewhere.
I never had a problem with the people at this location. I always found them very helpful, and polite. I went there on the regular for returns, and other personal shipping. For some things, they may have been higher priced. For the most part tho, I didnt think there rates were higher than other places- and its not like its Fedex, where they are always rude. Whatever people thought, its sad their business burned down. They were very lucky to get a close by location.
If I can give zero stars I would! My package was suppose to arrive up until 8pm TODAY (Feb. 15th) from 6:54am that it was put on the truck in Maspeth, which is the same town I live in. Come 8pm I got a message my package is late. 13 hours to deliver to the same town....a fifteen minute drive from my home and they cant even complete that task successfully. It does not matter my package was order with Amazon Prime where I get Free Two Day Delivery. This happens all the time with UPS. I was directed to call Amazon for the next steps and when I did they connected me to UPS customer care where I was told that they do not deliver to my area on Saturdays and it was placed on the truck for Monday delivery between 3pm and 6pm. but that was never told to me.....despite the fact that the tracking showed Out for Delivery and Arriving Today. Amazon saw the tracking and even sent me a notification at 7pm saying: Your package will arrive today (Feb. 15, Saturday) As I mentioned this happens every time with UPS delivery to me! Amazon on the other hand explains themselves that it is a prime item but it is a third party seller that it is coming from and not from them and so if it was from them, it would be Free Two Day Delivery and thats why this package shows it will deliver by Wednesday, Feb. 19th. So now supposedly, Im getting my laptop that I order for business purposes and is detaining me on Monday. I even offered to drive there to pick it up and I was told that if I pick it up, I would get it Tuesday and its better for delivery to get it Monday. Lets see how THAT goes!
The store needs to orient people correctly on how to process receive and work with customers in a professional manner. The store clerk took my package off the counter pulled my packed items out of the bag and began to question what i was shipping(candy and other cards as a care package) as if they had some right to pick up my package and prod through what I was shipping.I use this store all the time but this was just a ridiculous incident.
Small UPS Store, so at busy times it can get really crowded - even for NYC standards! Pretty fast, efficient. I went to the store a number of times either to mail packages or more recently to shred things - they seem to never empty the to be shred bin, so Im always leery about the fact that anything I want to get shredded is accessible to people...otherwise, not complaints.
Very poor customer service. I was charged $1 for a few strips of tape that took 10 seconds to place on the box as I stood there. They probably pay a $1 for the whole of tape.I stated that I have been to other UPS stores and did not have to pay for a few strips of tape. The response was that I should go back to that store. I will be doing exactly that after this experience. This is what happens when companies get to big like UPS.
I first came to Sunnyside to visit a friend back in 2018 and to look for a job. At their old location I had to use their printing and internet services. The service was always amazing and friendly. At their new location, Ive mailed packages and done other activities there. Always pleasant, always happy. There is an older Asian gentleman that jokes sometimes, but they are always light hearted and funny.Their old location burnt down in a fire, and the new location is still great and accessible. Dont believe the haters who give one or two stars. If you look at their other reviews, they tend to be cynical and narcissistic people who would of course hate great, hard-working people at the UPS Store in Sunnyside. As a teacher, I can always rely on UPS Store Sunnyside. So can you.
This store is a completely dishonest store and a disgrace to UPS. This store needs to be shut down for their dishonest business tactics.Go to this store if you want to donate extra money to their greedy little pockets. They raise the weight on packages so that you are charged more, or raise the package dimensions to make it a bigger shipment to charge you more. When I confronted them on the issue, they claimed that it was really that price for shipping (though this was a RETURN and I KNEW from when I received the package that it could NOT BE THAT PRICE based on the weight of the package) and when I demanded the receipt that shows the weight to price, they claimed they gave it to me already! All they gave was a payment receipt stating how much I paid, but they pretended to not know what I was talking about when I asked for the shipping label receipt. This is a professional store, how can they not know what a shipping label receipt is?I let it go for that moment, but rest assured, I will NEVER be using UPS ever again.. And neither will my business or those around me.Save your money, go to FedEx or USPS.
They were “closed” today at 5pm for some reason although the door was open and people were working. They said “come back tomorrow” refused to take my package (completely taped up, labeled, ready to pick up). Suggested that I go to staples instead. I won’t be coming back here and I won’t be using ups again either.
Unbelievably dishonest. Unfortunately most of the customers would not know that they are being screwed.I asked them for detailed receipt for my package and they said nothing like that existed. I came back home and checked the ups website for a package under 1 lb to a specific address. They seem to have charged me for 2 lbs.I feel ripped off.
To bad I only could give them one star, because that’s really to much , these people r get overs , very dishonest, and try to take you money, yesss! Tried to take my money, when my bank statement come back and they taking more, a really big lawsuit , watch this post office! No good..... and let me clear this up, I had a painting I needed to be ship from this location, well the man called me and told me $600.00 to ship, well dang! That’s more then the pic price, if you stay in another state PALEASE don’t do business with this post office.....
ZERO. UPS lost my parcel. I call and they tell me its at a UPS store in Queens, but we dont know which one. So Im calling all the local stores to check. Nothing for Astoria or LIC. I call this store and the guy straight up refuses to help me. Just keeps repeating to call the 1800#. The store isnt even big, why is it so hard to just CHECK FOR ONE PARCEL?? Then he finally says Oh I only have 3 packages right now and none of them match the name you gave me. Why was that so difficult?! Then goes on about the 1800# again. If they lost my parcel they obviously cant help me.Thankfully StubHub actually cares about finding my tickets. I mean, its only the Copa America Final. Never again UPS!

2022-05-11Wish I could give half a star or none.I went in about a week ago to return two items from Amazon. One box apparently “wasn’t taped properly” which was nonsense. I asked if they could simple give me a foot long strip of tape… they wanted to charge me $2 for it. I was visibly annoyed but I didn’t say a word on that issue. Instead I asked how much a roll of tape was. The answer was $4. I bought the tape but to get back at me they never shipped my packages after they accepted them. If it was one I’d chalk it up to a mistake but it was both. The returns were for items costing over $400.This UPS store runs a scam and should be avoided

2022-04-11Very friendly staff. One woman went out of way to help me lift a 33 lb box onto the counter. She also caught a labeling mistake I made. Ive been to several UPS locations and this was the most pleasant one.

2022-03-09I always come here to drop off some packages. I sell stuff on the side and this store accomodates it very fast. compared to other ups stores. All of them are very courteous too. I also use this store to return stuff from amazon and one time I hadnt had the right packaging and they did it for me.

2022-05-13I normally drop my Amazon return at the Jackson Heights store. I went to this store and they charged $1 (without receipt) for taping cost as I didn’t seal my package. It never happened at JH store. They take it at no cost to you whether the box is open or close.

2022-05-27Overpriced! Never walked into a store that charged over $5 to print one piece of paper. This UPS store specifically charges $5.25 to print one piece of paper and $.25 for every piece of paper thereafter. Ridiculous!

2021-09-22I shipped a monitor from this store, which they somehow lost. I had even requested signature on delivery and they just took some random person’s signature. It’s been about amonth since this was shipped and still no monitor. I opened an claim, and then called the store and was told that the UPS claims department had resolved the matter and confirmed delivery without ever getting in touch with me. In fact, it isn’t even possible for me to contact the claims department directly. Definitely would not recommend UPS to anyone. This whole place feels like a scam to me.

2021-04-11We moved across the country and brought in work monitors, art work, and important documents for proper packing and shipping. All of the monitors and fragile items were perfectly wrapped and arrived in great shape. They also held our boxes at their store so that the boxes would arrive at our new location after we got there. They were super accommodating and gave us great service. Wish I could say that for corporate which I’m still having problems with. I could have saved myself a lot of time and money by shipping everything from this store.

2021-03-13I have been bringing this store business for years. I had 5 items to return to Amazon. 3 were packed up with return labels attached. The other 2 were Amazon returns where you just show the Code on your phone to return. Every Amazon item I’ve ever returned like this in the past did not need to be boxed up ahead of time. Apparently the two I had today were an exception. But instead of helping me out with a box and explaining that I need to provide my own in the future, they chose not to take these two returns. Instead they lost a customer. I won’t be taking any of my Amazon business returns to them in the future. I’ll return them via the UPS store next to my workplace.

2021-03-19The associate at this store who helped me was very friendly, but I am dissatisfied because a major mistake was made by someone at this location. I sent a package internationally and paid for what I thought would be a delivery 2 days later. In the days since I shipped the package, my delivery date changed 3 different times, and after calling the 800 number, was told that the store associate attached the wrong shipping service to my package and that my package would arrive late. While I was informed of the possibility of my package being delayed in customs, I did not expect a major delay because of the wrong service level being assigned to my package. I understand that everyone makes mistakes, but it was very important to me that this package arrive on time, and now it will not. This is extremely disappointing given the amount of money I paid for this service. I may look elsewhere for my future shipping needs.
