This past Saturday I dropped off a total of 10 packages. One of which was USPS which I paid 2 dollars to have ship through them. 2 of my packages are not in the system as if I never dropped them off. They no longer give receipts which is starting to feel like a scam. Judging by the bad reviews I see on here. Never had a problem until now. I will be contacting the BBB and I suggest anyone who has the same issue does the same. I will not be going to this location again I will take a ride to a UPS store that provides receipts and some form of security for customers.
Update:I went here last week to drop off two packages and only one was returned. They don’t give out receipts which is a NO. There is no way to track your packages without a receipt.I use to go here frequently as it was my neighborhood, now that I’m leaving I think it’s time over a 10 year overdue review. For a few years they would charge $1 every time I dropped off a UPS prepaid package until recently. Other than that, no complaints. If it was slow it was because they were understaffed or someone was doing a purchase. Never had a package stolen/damaged.
People at this place have the worst attitude and customer service. No one will smile at you and messy inside. Even the female owner is extremely inpatient. I called and asked her about the shipping cost, it would take her less than a minute to answer me, but instead, she told me to ask her in person. Thats just ridiculous, I wasnt going to drive 15 minutes to her store only to find out the shipping cost. And they dont give receipt when people drop off package.
These people are heartless, would not accept a large package return from a 6-month pregnant woman. Sure it was a busy day and the store is filled to capacity but SHOW SOME COMPASSION.In comparison, the people at the UPS store in Bayside were so understanding and helpful - highly recommend that location.
Been going here over the years and never had a problem. If I am not sure if they are open and when they are close, I usually called to clarify. Even more so during this pandemic, they are more professional than ever. They may not be the friendliest but always professional. Have always trusted them even without a receipt. Went to another not so professional UPS store to try out and had to come back to this place because of the customer service.
There is a new younger guy that works at this location, he is tall & skinny, unprofessional & arrogant. He messed up my amazon return for two it items. I asked him if he scanned the code for the items i brought to return, he responded with a smart remark they are all going to the same place anyway. Then at the end of scanning my 7 items going back to amazon. I asked him for a receipt, he made another smart remark its in your Amazon account. I knew something went wrong thats why i wanted to see a receipt. One to two days later i saw that two items that i know i sent back were not computed in to the amazon system. So i never got a refund because to them they never got the item. This is the 1st time in all my years this have happened to me. Luckily Amazon took my word and issued me a refund. I am not happy with this particular person at this store.**
BEST UPS shipping experience ever. I had used many UPS stores service but this one is the best. Most of other stores are terrible. Young guys are smart and work efficiently. And what the funny thing is even though the guy before me angry cuz he want to drop off a FedEx package in the store for free and ask a receipt, the staffs have patient to explain. What a horrible thing that in 21 century there are people cannot separate UPS and FedEx (and USPS). All in all, their service and patience worth 5 stars.
Honestly couldnt ask for a better store. Been going here for a solid 10 years and they always take care of my packages and shipments. I highly recommend this store if you live nearby, or anywhere honestly. They work super fast and efficiently unlike the other stores where youd have lines all the way down the block.
BEWARE!!! I Returned a Brand new Samsung S20 to Amazon. Amazon emailed me and told me they got the retail box but NO PHONE!!! Somebody stole the phone out of the return package!!!AND these guys working there are so rude and nasty! They would not scan my package and give me a receipt! I told them Im going to wait for you to scan my package because I need some peace of mind. The tall skinny guy yelled and said Well, your gonna have to wait for a long time for that peace of mind! I was LIKE WOW!!! Im never coming back here ever again! You lost my business.
Returned a package to amazon here. Over a week and they still havent received it. They are supposed to give return receipts with tracking numbers according to Amazon Customer Service... Was unable to get a refund without tracking number or proof of return... Terrible - do not go here for amazon returns. Your package will not get to its destination and you will lose your money.
Disgusting customer service. All drop off packages have a drop off receipt. Not only was it never offered, when requested the woman kept touching my phone saying the tracking is there, she completely disregarded what I asked. DURING A PANDEMIC.When she finally understood the question, she told me last time when she slapped the receipt on the counter. Last time they lost my package and this time they refuse to give receipt and behaved like she was above the customer. Go to them if you want problems.Otherwise, we should support her wish and take our business elsewhere.
This complaint is about the UPS Store located at 176-25 Union Turnpike Fresh Meadows NY. Today July 14th, 2020 I try dropping off four prepaid packages from amazon, they refuse to give me a receipt and told me they are no longer giving receipts to customer, because of that I didn’t leave my packages, I took them to another location and everything went smoothly, the guys at 176-25 Union Turnpike location is not customer friendly and in the past they will say just throw the package there instead of taking it from customers, this is not a very good place to do business and if you do just pray that your package is not lost. These guys are really terrible and appear to be very incompetent.
The worst customer service at this ups location I have never experienced. I was dropped off amazon package and asked get a receipt,but the staff had a terrible attitude reply to me NO RECEPIT cause it is a policy. I wonder who will be responsible if my package is lost in transit and I dun have a receipt. Lol, that s why are there only two stars
This location is awful!!! The service is terrible. Dropped off a package there on a Sunday and their printing machine was broken however the guy at the desk scanned my package and said it was good to go. The next day I tried tracking the package and there was no update. I tried calling and no response. Finally got someone on the phone and the lady was not easy to understand and refused to let me talk. She hung up the phone. Now I have to waste time calling UPS to see if there’s anything they can do about this mess. Very disappointed!!! Never going there again!!
I went over there for fastest delivery service through UPS. They offered me to take USPS priority mail and it will be delivered in 1 one days they said. They charged more money for priority mail rather than USPS charge. Today is the 3rd day but my package hasn’t delivered yet. Tracking said it will take more 2 days to delivered approximately. When I called to the store they said they can not help me. Talk to USPS and they just hang up. But I didn’t tell them to use USPS and the delivery location is within New York. Such a unwelcome service.
Very efficient staff. They have several employees here capable of answering all of my questions. Very friendly and everything is straight forward. Hard to find honest businesses these days! And an all in one shop. Copy, print, fax, pack & ship. I can even return all of my Amazon items here
Had a terrible experience a year or so ago- I dropped off a package, got a printed ‘receipt’ with my tracking number, and recipient did not get the package. I tried to track the package from my pc, but it kept coming up ‘invalid’, and then I noticed that the date on my receipt was not the date I sent out the package. I went to the store, and the lady (who appeared to be the owner) tried to check for me, but she was unsuccessful as well. I explained to her that the date on the receipt was wrong, so I believe the tracking number was not mine. She got mad at me, and raised her voice, telling me to check it out on my own. Luckily, one of the other personnel there, took over and realized that I was given the wrong receipt, and apologized for the error. I try not to go there, and choose USPC or FEDEX, when I have a choice. So, I only go there when I have to send returns through UPS. I haven’t had any problems since, but with all these bad reviews, I suggest you stay away.I’m adding to my review- and it’s not any better. I have been going there occasionally because it’s so close to my house, but when a merchant gives me a choice of carrier, I chose USPS or FedEx. I was there recently, and asked for a receipt for my parcel, and was told ‘No receipt, you can use your tracking number’- a tracking number is just that, a number to track your package, not proof that your package was handed over to the UPS store. So I went out of my way to go to the UPS Store in Bayside, 213-37 39th Ave. They gave me a receipt and I asked if a receipt is given for all packages, including Amazon, and the answer was ‘YES’. There’s also a UPS store in Jamaica at 153-01 Jamaica Ave. Why patronize a business that acts as if they are doing YOU a favor?
Urgent!I believe UPS & amazon corporation should look into this very seriously this location at 17625 Union Turnpike Fresh Meadow 11366 UPS drop off, theres a lot of scam going at this location and the reason is they not providing Receipt when the customer asking for Receipt for our on record most of the time the clamming all kind of excuses like they out of paper for printing machines or the machine doesnt work!I believe UPS and Amazon should investigate them and look into it farther,we are trusting this location and giving them our packages for return in order to receive full credit at some time it is expensive merchandise we returning by not the Receipt for a proof & dropping the packages for credit and most of the time the companies clamming they did not received the packages back!!!and we all need to suffer & struggle?feel it is big a fraud by giving us excuses at most of the time they out of the RECEIPT?
I got a mailbox here since 2016, the efficiency here is pretty high, staff is very nice and friendly, even though I dont live in Fresh Meadow anymore, I still come here. And since I came here frequently, sometimes they even waive my stamp fee for sending a letter. I would definitely recommend this UPS to my friends.
Different cost for the same process every time. They charge me $3.80 just to print out a label from their computer (1 sheet). But now all of a sudden it’s $1.50 extra for the plastic sleeve for the shipping label, why can’t it just be taped on? Been going here for 4 years. Going to go to another one from now on
Went to the site online to print some proof for my COVID vaccine. Went through the online printing process, paid online. Showed up to get the paper, waited in line; when I finally got to the front the clerk let me know they dont do online printing and Ill need to go through corporate to get refunded. We discontinued it, he said.Im enraged.
Rude young Asian cashier with attitude problems rather than answer questions with professionalism he is dismissive and rude! There’s other ups stores to drop off avoid this one at all cost! Not providing receipts “due to paper shortage” I believe amazon and ups should look into it because without receipt package can be tampered with and “lost” and we’re stuck not getting any credit back from seller
The low reviews got me weary so I tried them out by bringing my least expensive Amazon return. CS wasnt great as I was basically ignored BUT the return went without a hitch (in under 5mins just before Xmas at 1pm.). None of the horror stories I read here. So maybe I was lucky but Id definitely return.
I dont like trashing other peoples businesses, but the staff here needs a lot of training. I walked in to return something I bought from macys online because I was feeling lazy to go back to the mall and return in person. Tried to use the prepaid return shipping label, but for some reason, my printer messed me up and it wouldnt scan. I asked if those folks can help me reprint or just key in the numbers. I was given a quote to reprint the label. Wait a second, I already paid for the label so why should I pay again? The front desk didnt have much to offer for an explanation, but because I was running out of time, I just sucked up the cost and paid. Similar experience with most other reviewers. I am never returning to this shipping store.
My package got slowed down without a reason. The tracking took 2 days to even show label processed which means they labeled it 2 days later. Then they rescheduled it, for no reason. Paying $19 to ship a small box, they shouldn’t make you wait 8 days. Drive down to the 153rd St/Jamaica Ave corned UPS Store. They are much better and only a 5 min drive away.
Terrible customer service and they will nickel and dime you for every little thing such as printing a label for Amazon that was pre-paid. I’ve never experienced the lack of customer service before at any shipping store. In addition I’ve had my package rejected by this location because I do not pay to have my packages delivered there which I never heard of before. They did not tell me this until the third time my package was rejected. Point blank stay away from this location!
I wish i could give them negative stars.Horrible service. I went to drop a package off, so i wasn’t able to find the QR code was sent to me, so it took me about 5 mins to find out. After, i asked her if i could add insurance on the existing since i am paying for it. She, was like “ i don’t know “you need to talk to UPS”. So if you couldn’t answer you could have at least told me nicely and explain.
DO NOT go there for NOTARY. They charge an extra $5 service fee on top of the $2 notary fee. I checked with other UPS nearby and they do not charge any “service fee”. Also they are not upfront about the $5 fee.According to the NYS Dept. of state a notary may not charge more than $2 for fees. Such a scam!
I dropped off a pre-paid Fedex label and was charged with a $5 handling fee. Called fedex and said that is not a charge by fedex, the store added an additional fee for scanning the label (handling charge). Gtfo, do not give them business.Edit: I just read the reviews, I should have read the 1star reviews before I went there and got scammed $5. Smh...
This place is beyond unprofessional nasty aditude specially from the tall Asian guy refused to give me a receipt oh and also expects me to do his job for him as well....he had the never to ask me to take my package to the ups truck my self like realy thats not a customers job or duty what so ever the only reason I come here is cause the open until the time they state they do other than that I wouldnt come here....and ups corporation should get on top of this store with all the bad reviews it has its terrible....if I was able to give no stars I would
Grumpy old asian lady working the counter. Seems shes very sick of her job. Did not greet.Commanded me to move the boxes. And didnt give a valid reason as to why she wont print me a receipt. The younger gentleman was nice and carefully explained to me as the reason. Thats really all she had to do. Very unpleasant experience at this UPS.
The worst experience I had in many UPS store I visited before. Fairly say, one star is not even worth it.I live around St. Johns University Queens Campus, and I would drop my package through them unless I have no other options. Every time I worried that they are going to break my package after I leave their facility, because the employees attitude so rude. Thats just what I experienced, agree or not agree, cheers.Not recommend.
Cheap and not too pleasant attitude. This is the only store I encounter in NYC that doesn’t give receipt. The young man there tells me to take a picture. What good does it do to prove that I’ve dropped off my items.He doesn’t care. He hurried off to talk to his friends in the store.
They tried charging me $1 for a shipment label that was already paid for . It’s pathetic. I called UPS customer service and was told the store is a franchise and they can’t do that . They registered a complaint , but looking at these greedy people, I doubt they care. It’s like they haven’t seen money in their life, robbing people for a $1 because it’s using their printer? Lol that too when shipment is paid already.
They tried to charge me for printing an amazon label with a QR CODE, amazon told me it should be free and other UPS store never charge me for that. Also, I shipped out a phone package once and they package it in a very large box, so that they can charge me 20 dollars for such a small phone. Please do not go there, evil people.
These guys are rip off artists. DONT EVER let them take your package without it being sealed. Better yet, go someplace else. Gave them a package to ship, a cell phone, they told me dont tape up box, well do it for you. Lo and behold, the package arrives on the other end all nice and taped but... NO PHONE - Just an empty box full of styrofoam!Not learning my lesson the first time, I sent another phone from same place, and even though they packaged it for me and sealed it in front of me this time, when it arrived on received end, the package was ever so cleverly cut open along the flap, just enough to get the phone out and NO PHONE arrived. I kid you not, you cant make this stuff up. Both times the store owners were rude, evasive knew nothing (of course) and all but laughed in my face when I told them. All St. Johns students STAY CLEAR!!! It may be convenient, but they will surely rip you off.
Dropped package off to be picked up by DHL. Paid $5 for service fee. The package was left on premise for 6 days. Store rep lied to me that it was picked up. This store demonstrated utter incompetence and showed lack of integrity. They will also try to nickle and dime you at every corner. Avoid at all cost.
Dropped off a package on Sunday, young asian guy scanned my package and I asked him for a receipt, he said its fine dont worry about it, 3 days later Im checking the tracking and it says UPS still hasnt received it, its a $10 return so Im not going to fight over it but theres a reason this store has a 2 star review
Customer service in this location is horrible! Not only do they nickel and dime you for every little thing, but they give you an attitude when asking simple questions. “Kathy or John” is what’s listed on their business card and I’m assuming those were the two people that helped me although only the man was in an actual UPS uniform, the lady was in street clothes and had the same terrible attitude. At one point I felt like they were tag teaming me with snarky responses for every question I asked.I’m upset about their policies and pricing, however this complaint is being served to their poor customer service and lack of the type of human connection one would expect from a local business. They are argumentative with customers and clearly don’t like their jobs.Terrible.
This store refuse to give receipt.When I ask for receipt other store ask you to have their receipt as process of taking care of the transportation and security.I had bad experience with no receipt situation,I have to have receipt with me with actual weights.When I ask for actual weight,this lady jumped into the conversation say no extra, that understand of a language can be this bad just put me laughing on the floor. I explained, she said we dont want your garbage the thrown my boxes on the floor and kicked out door.Id say,later I went to the store at Jamaica. They messed up a amazon return, told me I’m good I can go and amazon said they never got the return ......... I called 43 times no answer , now I have to miss work to handle something that was supposed to be automatic........ worst results and resolution do not go there they will take your stuff ......
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Today will be the last time I patronize this establishment. The customer service is poor. Every time I’ve come here I’ve been made to feel as if I’m being done a favor. There are ways to address people when a questioned is asked but that is a skill that is lacking here. People will continue to come to you, I will travel further from my house and go to a place where I feel respected.

I tried to speak to them in a humanly way to dispute a unjustifiable fee, not only could they no provide me with they store policies, when I showed them the ups policy they started to scream at me. Dont ever come this UPS. I dropped a package off on Saturday afternoon and it is now monday evening and the item says was not scanned. Funny thing is that they said they dont give any receipts anymore. They have terrible customer service and is very rude. UPS should shut this location down. I dont even know what to do now.
I wanted to print a couple of photos in A5 format. The staff member screwed a couple of rounds trying to figure how to print that and tried to charge me for screwed prints. The bill they offered me to pay was something like $15 instead of $6 for actual successful prints. Also, strong accent of the lady and her inability to speak proper English (I am a foreigner as well and I have never had troubles with understanding) made interaction pretty difficult.
Terrible customer experience! I had to return a few boxes for Amazon and they try to charge me a dollar for every label that’s printed even though on Amazon website says it’s free! Total scammers try to nickel and dime you for every little thing! Stay away! Much better service at one stop shipping down the block @177-11 union turnpike
Truly a great experience. The lady, who I believe is the manager, went out of her way to accept a large and fairly heavy package, instead of sending me off to one of the main shipping facility in Maspeth. it was an ordeal for me just to get the package there, and would have been a huge pain in the rear to take it all the way to Maspeth. Thank you sincerely for your flexibility and understanding!!!
Terrible terrible custom service! I drop off an Amazon item and they lost it. I just want to inquire whether they can check again if they still have my item or not. The woman was being so rude and hang up my phone call. Are you seriously providing service at all? I am not even asking something too much. I wont go there anymore. This store and that woman make me so sick!
I should have read the reviews prior to choosing this location. Terrible would be more of a compliment than what most have said in the reviews. They charge to print Amazon labels up to $2 per page and have a Hurry up and Buy attitude (call it like i see it). Similar manners seen in and around Main St. Flushing which correlate to unfavorable views.tldr: Awful and disappointing.
The charge you $ on amazon returns because they print the label ??!! I just complained to amazon and UPS , they told me they can’t do that. Shopping is paid for, why should theycharge for a label. They’re ripping off UPS , because this is a franchise. This location is nothing less than thugs !
I mailed 2 letters with 2 day priority usps.usually it costs 8 each.the. guy charged me 37.00 and would not give me a reciept ...he told me to just take a pic for tracking info.i understand your business had to make a profit but how can u overcharge so much and also not provide a reciept.....very shady transaction i always use usps to mail ...i know you overcharged me but o didnt want to void the transaction.also the employee wrote the address incorrectly and the manager said dont worry it will get there.
Be careful people! This place is ridiculous. I came to drop off a couple of packages for Amazon. I asked to print out the return label and a guy told me it is $3 to get on a computer and 50 cents per page. Any ups store I go to Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, Rego Park is $2 to use their computers and 15 cents per page. But thats not it! The guy wanted to charge me a taping fee???????? $1 taping fee????? Are you serious? Amazon customers are not supposed to pay any taping fee, but just to drop off the package, get their confirmation, and leave. These crooks are out of their mind! Watch out!

Go there the next day with a yamulka and the Asian dude is standoffish and wanted to charge me 13 to ship an anvelope I pay 2 dollars for to ship all the time... Wanted to change me additional $3. 50 to print a prepaid shipping label. Dont go here.. Bunch of antisemites and biggtots work there. Dont give them any business.
Called in to ask if the notary will be in, made arrangements with 3 other people who needed to sign as well, came in and they told us the notary is not in today. When i told them I called, he said he had a family emergency with a smirk on his face. Very disappointed and unprofessional how they treated us.
Im giving one star due to the fact of how many negative reviews this place has. I was planning on going there but there is no way i will be screwed like everyone else was. Thanks for the heads up community. Judging by the similar complaints two years ago up until a few months ago seem as if this place did not change their management or staff. No thank you !!
I called up and asked the lady how much would it be to ship a hat to Australia she gave me the biggest attitude had me on hold for ten minutes then gives me the price on the hat and hangs the phone up but I wanted to ask her another question called back 10 times and she kept on hanging the phone up 😡 !!!!

2022-07-04The easiest UPS to use in the area, especially if youre returning an Amazon product. Just drop off your box with label or QR code and youre out in minutes. And it convenient for parking spot. So, I dont have problems with rather then Im headaches discriminate staff behavior. Just drop off and leave.

2022-02-13Asian ups worker refused to give me receipts for my packages. Claimed this ups store does not give receipts. He never gave me tracking info or anything either. It was my first time using this UPS as I use another to ship over 700 units / week. It sounded and felt wrong not getting any info or receipt. Had to call and confirmed that this isnt true. Put it on speaker for this employee to hear, he then changes his story to oh we do give receipts here, we just ran out of receipt labels. He then walks away and another employee creates my label / gives me tracking info. Plus they fling your packages like frisbees in front of you, so cant image what they do behind the scenes. Go somewhere else 2/12/22

2022-04-02If I could give this location negative stars I would. I schedule an appointment using their online website for passport photos. We receive the confirmation and show up for our 12:30 appointment. The manager proceeds to tell us that the person that takes photos is not there and may be there a hour or 2. He then blames us for not calling before our appointment when we received a email confirmation. His explanation is, “yea, we don’t use the online system… it’s just there. Come back later and call before you come.” He was extremely rude and dismissive…. We would never come back to this location!!!

I ordered a printing job online and all they said printers were down when someone was obviously using their printing services. Dont go there. Bunch of people who dont care about you work there so avoid and go to another UPS store.

2022-05-14They open the store whenever they feel like it and refuse to give receipts. Like really what is up with that? When they refuse to give you a receipts they tell you to just take a picture of the tracking label. THE TRACKING LABEL IS NOT PROOF OF SHIPMENT. If the package gets lost, how can I prove to a merchant that I actually shipped it? Just nonsense.

2021-11-26The customer service there is rude and unaccommodating. Asked for a receipt and the clerk, a tall Asian guy, who didnt even look at me as if he were too busy to listen. He told to take a picture of the UPS label but I told him that I wasnt carrying my phone with me. He responded with a snarky attitude, You dont have a phone ? So he told me to go find a place where they will give me receipts that he couldnt help me. If he wouldve at least written down the shipping number and toned down his unfriendly demeanor I wouldve let it pass but he was downright nasty. UPS could care less about customer service.

2021-11-26This is one of the worst UPS stores in the area. They never give a paper receipt, are very rude, and never take care of the packages. Ive seen them just push packages off the counter onto the floor and not even care. When I asked them to at least scan the package while I was standing there they put up a fuss until I refused to leave until they did it. Someone could easily go in, steal something, and just run out. Since they never give you a paper receipt or scan the package right away you have no record that it was ever dropped off.

2021-04-22Do NOT go to this location! I live 5 minutes away and refuse to visit this location anymore. Their customer service is beyond terrible. Rude staff that doesnt care to help you and they refused to give me a receipt for my prepaid packages. How am I supposed to trust you send my packages out without getting a receipt from you??? Also, they stack everyones packages OUTSIDE the store literally just sitting on the sidewalk. I mean anybody walking by could just take these packages.Even though I live close to this location I drive to the Little Neck location on Northern Blvd. That store is the best! Their staff is always friendly and helpful to all their customers. AND they give receipts! I didnt even have to ask, they make sure everyone leaves with a receipt and gave me some coupons to get me to come back as well.

2021-02-28Absolutely rude staff. I needed to return an Amazon item and I asked very politely if I could get a receipt because that is part of the process, they always give receipt at the end, and when I asked the staff for a receipt she said no and when I asked again she said I dont have time and I have other customers to take care of. Every customer should be treated with respect and even more that got me very mad was that she ended up throwing the package onto the ground. UPS is such a big company and for them to not check on their staff is really a big issue. Absolute garbage service.
