After reading reviews I was a apprehensive about using this location to return my items to Amazon. Im glad I took the chance. Although the guy working there didnt have the most pleasant personality, it was a quick and easy transaction... no complaints here. Love this arrangement between Amazon and The UPS Store.
Brought a laptop that was to be shipped to my son. Paid $138 to have it delivered next day. They told me it couldnt get to son before 10 PM next day. When I told my son, he needed it by next AM, so he called and asked them if they could somehow change my transaction and reissue a new transaction so he could get it next morning. They did that, but they deleted my transaction, and did not credit my card, even though my son now paid an even higher charge in his card. They guy who handled this transaction voided my transaction without crediting my credit card. When I tried to get this rectified, he told me that it is UPS issue, not our issue. So, they could charge me credit card, but, even though they voided my transaction, they could not credit that same card because, now, it is a UPS issue. I was told I would have to deal with UPS and submit a claim to UPS. When I asked, what am I claiming? he said I should claim a lost package. I told him it isnt a lost package, its just that we paid twice for it and I simply want to only pay once. He reiterated that its a UPS issue. They could not have been more difficult and frustrating to deal with, simply refusing to take any responsibility for this, even thought he was the one who charged both cards. I will never deal with this store again, because, they are impossible to reason with. If I could give them 0 stars, that is what they would get.
Took my Amazon return to this store this morning. It is the UPS store next to the Subway sandwich shop. Amazon sent me a QR code to have scanned. In the shipping instructions it stated that I bring the item to the UPS store and the store will package and ship for me.I brought it in the original box with all packaging material but I did not tape it in case he had to look at the contents since it said NOT to package the item Per Amazon shipping instructions.The guy said he would NOT tape it and that it printed off a different label. He claimed it happens every day that people bring stuff back but he won’t package it for them. I asked if I could put a strap of tape over the box for him and he pointed to a pile of tape next to me and said I had to buy one of the small rolls for $2.99!I told him that was ridiculous and showed him the instructions from amazon stating to bring the item in and UPS would package and send. He told me he didn’t care and that I could call Amazon but it was a “liability” issue and I’d have to buy tape and do it myself.I highly recommend avoiding this location at all costs if you want any sort of decent customer service.
From my experience, this store was entirely disorganized. I had to come back to the store on three separate occasions to ship items because the clerk claimed they ran out of packing slips. When I was finally able to ship our items, I realized after the fact that I was charged sales tax (and our organization is tax exempt). These things happen - and I dont blame the vendor for charging us - but, in these cases, I do ask for the tax to be refunded. When I called the store to request this refund, it was obvious that the store owner was irritated. I explained that other businesses are able to process these refunds and I can present him with our tax exempt certificate. He seemed unwilling to do this but asked me to come by the store with the certificate. After we ended our call, he called me two separate times (calls I did not initiate), with increasing hostility, claiming that I needed to contact someone in Albany about this. I have never dealt with a vendor who was actually hostile towards customers because he was unable or unwilling to fulfill a simple request that other vendors have done in the past. Because of this, I will never return to this store again.
WORST UPS STORE IVE EVER IN MY LIFE EXPERIENCED! ordered important papers to be printed , pre paid and confirmed! Just to go in this VERY unprofessional office for them to have no record of my papers as I didn’t have my laptop with me and couldn’t get the files they lost so it’s my fault and there’s nothing they can do because the have “to many” orders to try and go threw! I get it it’s busy but you definitely need better staff and customer service! It was disgusting and I will be reporting to a higher corporate office because that’s definitely a store I WILL NEVER be stepping foot near
Hi my name is iesha and I was only at your UPS store on Genesee Street where I have the pleasure of meeting two of your wonderful employees name Alexis mosley and Xavier webb on 12/01/2021 around 10:30am they help assist me with excellent customer service and very polite and welcome from the moment I walked in the door which you dont get that everyday so I want to leave them with a wonderful review about my experience at your location and was very pleased throughout the whole process of being helped thank you for having the most wonderful services.
This is the second time we have used this location. They are professional and friendly. We shipped items back to California some of them were very fragile.All arrived undamaged and were expertly packaged once again! I wish I would have gotten the name of the guy and girl who helped us but they were outstanding.Great job!!
Somehow reviews are being mixed here. This is a NEW location -- in Utica, just a stones throw away from I-90. It looks like ALL the negative reviews are from the now closed New Hartford location. UPS should clean this issue up pronto.These ladies handled my package retrieval like champs. I was nervous about UPS relocating my package to a store I had no history with, and the package was expensive. I was glad there was no indication of damage. I even met the UPS driver who was retrieving packages. He was very personable.So my take is come in and try this location. The ladies aim to please. Ive had private mail service for over 3 decades. I was disappointed I had no availability close to Utica and ventured to the UPS Store in Rome. Lets just say the manager/owner left a very bad taste in my mouth due to her LACK of professionalism; she was sorely in need of a lesson in courtesy and decorum. Maybe her intent was to make sure I would NOT open a box there. So...at least her mission was accomplished.Maybe its time to reopen a PMB at this location???
Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced with shipping. This place is a joke and should fire their current employees now. I was literally dealing with a woman that was trying to scam me and not send my bought merchandise and when I tried to confirm the situation I was met with the utmost rude responses and negative behavior. Seriously if you do not like your job then quit and find something you enjoy.They also verified when I called the second time that the woman was shipping my product and even confirmed that she was shipping at least the box. And on top of that, they claim that they do not update shipments on the weekend and that it is up to the driver to do so, but I am literally showing NOTHING for my tracking which means it has not been sent by the shipper (the person has scammed me) or they are not scanning/processing my shipment on purpose to initiate the tracking process. I have NEVER had a time when UPS has not updated their tracking to at least reflect that a Shipping Label was made let alone when the individual supposedly dropped it off.I am soooooooo sorry that I am concerned about being scammed for an Item I already paid for and that YOU confirmed has been shipped but clearly is not showing.
The girl that works there - Abigail, needs a raise. I dont know what she gets paid, but she was probably the most efficient., fast, and friendly employee I have ever seen. I came in with two heavy coolers, and about 5 boxes. Left the coolers on the porch to get more stuff out of my truck and when I came back Abagail had already carried the coolers into the store inbetween customers. SUPER service. Great experience. I highly recommend this store.
I had to have a flyers and signs printed for my small business, and the staff was very helpful, on time and on budget for my project. I have also shipped from this location many times, and every time they are polite and all of my items always arrive on time! The manager there, Mandee, is always especially helpful, and always willing to accommodate me. I will continue to use this location, and would recommend them to everyone I know.
People are very nice there and helpful. I do all my printing there for my business. And I save money! Other places over charge . You use their computer to locate email and print out all your documents.You can email your documents to the nearest UPS store and they will printed all you forms and documents. And dont forget they can even do all you shipping.
It is almost impossible to spot that there is a UPS office there, the GPS pulled me there 7 times with no hope to see anything and when I decided to go shopping in Staples, then I found out that it is inside the same building. I dont know if Staples is a conglomerate of UPS but if is not, then it is a super intelligent marketing move to be inside Staples building and ensure that they will ship most if not all there online sales!!!
EVERY TIME I MAIL A PACKAGE FROM THIS LOCATION TO THE SAME PLACE THERE IS ALWAYS A PROBLEM JUST FOR THEM TO KEEP TELLING ME THAT THEY ARE UNABLE TO ASSIST ME AND IT IS ALWAYS THE ERROR ON THEIR END I MAIL AT ANY OTHER UPS STORE NEVER ANY PROBLEMS WHY IS IT JUST THIS ONE I DONT UNDERSTAND ITS STRESSFUL
Terrible customer service I called just to see if I can get a two page document printed out for my email first answers the phone and it takes about 40 seconds to even say anything and he tells me that they are too busy today that if I know how to work the computer I could do it myself! I get you’re busy but dang it’s two pages out of my email........I’ll go somewhere else I recommend next time if a customer asks you say come on down and I’ll do my best to help you

2022-07-07Do not ship anything from here if you want it to actually leave the store. Brought 2 speakers in to get shipped. They sat there for 2 days before the kid decided to ship them. Only 1 has now been missing for 9 days. Not sure how you lose a 90lbs speaker that cost over $1,400. Not to mention the one that did arrive Did not even get shipped from the store until the date it was suppose to arrive. Try to call the store to find out whats going on. Nobody ever answers the phone.

2022-04-29I came in with my son at 4:30 on 4/29/22 and the gentleman was alone dealing with a difficult customer but helped her handle her business. He chatted with me and explained that people called in and was extremely busy alone. He did the right thing and was calm as people began to poor in. This gentleman needs a raise. I don’t know him but clearly he’s a good employee that needs to be rewarded for his environment.

2022-08-03Horrible service, walked in 7-23-22, two people in front of me, one employee at counter. finally he yells out something and a kid comes from the back area, looked like he just woke up. instead of taking care of customers he stands there asking if he can get Tuesday & Wednesday off next week. Finally after 20 minutes of waiting he picks up the scanner and scans a code on my phone and printed out my tracking number and receipt, a 30 second task. As of Thursday 7-28-22 the tracking number shows no movement yet. Did I also mention the condition of the store ? What a mess, boxes thrown in piles, packages everywhere, floor, counter and piles. The floor looks as if it hasnt been vacuumed in months. UPDATE...My package that I sent out on 7-23-22 is still at the Utica store listed as label created, not even on the way and says the delivery date will be provided as soon as possible. Today is August 3rd, the package has been sitting there 11 days so far.

2022-04-19Package never was traceable even with routing number. Guy working when I went in had a friend sitting near the empty boxes with his feet up. I’ve called and emailed several times. No answer. Still don’t know where the package is. Will never use this place again.

2022-07-19Something I shipped was returned to me without explanation. It also contained another customers package inside of the box. On another trip to this store, the door was closed even though I came during business hours.

2022-08-20Zero stars actually. Twice Ive returned items at this UPS Store and they were not received. Both times the employee took my package and tossed it on a pile in a way that clearly indicated they didnt give a you-know-what about anything. The employees at this place are just terrible.

2022-07-09Apparently doesn’t operate according to published hours. An employee unlocked the door 50 minutes after posted opening time, didn’t address the parking lot full of customers, and entered/locked door.

2021-12-15Someones package was brought to my address on accident so I thought I would be able to leave it with her to have the driver correct the error but she wouldnt take it so their customer could get his items delivered properly. She was rude when I was trying to do the right thing. Go to a different shipping service.
