New favorite brunch place! Went here after another reservation canceled and we are so glad we did! Sunday is family style brunch $15 a person and it was amazing! The staff was so kind and the service was very fast. You get so much food, I can’t say enough great things about it
We visited the View for my birthday dinner this July 2020 and were so disappointed. My husband and I have 3 young children (8, 5 and 1) so my expectations of eating out are pretty low, this dinner however still managed to fall below the bar.Service-Our waitress was not attentive at all, we never received a refill of our waters only saw her for orders and food drop off.-The kids let the waitress know it was my birthday yet the waitress never came back for a dessert order. When she checked in towards the end to see if we needed anything else I inquired about dessert. She let me know the kitchen was closed. A little late for a check in.Food-The appetizers were yummy, we had the tempura vegetables and hummus plate. The dinner however was not.-I ordered the scallops and risotto. Risotto is one of my most favorite dishes but it was not cooked correctly, its a labor and love and you could tell this was rushed. There was no creaminess to it and the ingredients hadnt had time to meld together. It just tasted like rice.-My husband had the mussels, the fish smell was offensive. Our oldest said when the plate arrived Papa, that isnt fresh, you arent supposed to smell fish. He was right, my husband did not eat. (and he eats 8 day old lunch meat no problem)Atmosphere-Not sure if there is another space, but from the one side of the restaurant there is no view. It feels like you are sitting at the left over table at your cousins wedding.-There is NO CHANGING TABLE in the bathroom. How do you not have a changing table available. I had to change my 1 year old on the floor in the banquet room downstairs.
Absolutely unacceptable customer service from the manager (older blonde woman). Had a reservation at 730 and requested privacy since we were a small wedding party of 6 which we were advised was doable over the phone. We called and moved the reservation to 6pm. When we arrived we asked the hostess again and she sat us in a private area and closed the divider halfway. The rude manager opened it and we closed it halfway again. She came over and opened it back while rudely stating to keep it open. We told her, the waitress advised we could, she felt the need to correct us that she was a hostess not a waitress and the room was reserved for another party (which was most likely us but since she doesnt speak with her staff before the customers she didnt know that). While still trying to explain to her she walked away and passive aggressively said thanks with an attitude. All of this before even getting a waiter. I apologized to the waiter and we got up and walked away. Before leaving, I was sure to let her know her customer service is terrible and she lost business because of it. Her attitude was completely uncalled for and unacceptable not to mention a poor example of management.
I had a very poor experience with The View on November 14, 2020. It took me a month and a half to write this review because I was still so livid with our experience.I got married on November 14th, and the weeks prior to that date my maid of honor made a reservation for 6 at 7:30PM. We requested privacy for our small party and were told that the main room was in use for a wedding, but that we could use a smaller room with a door that we would be able to close. On the evening of November 14th we called at 5PM to request that our reservation be moved up from 7:30PM to 6PM, which we were told would be no problem. When we showed up for our 6PM reservation, the hostess led us to room towards the back of the restaurant and told us that we would be the only ones sitting there. When we asked if we could close the divider for privacy, she said yes. Before the waiter even came to the table to greet us, the divider (which the hostess shut for us) was slid open and people were staring in at us. We all felt uncomfortable and got up to once again close the divider for privacy. Before we could sit back down, the divider was violently pulled open by a blonde haired staff member. When we said that we requested privacy and that the staff said we could close it she was beyond rude. She found the need to snap at us and inform us that the hostess was not a waitress and that we could not close the divider because another party would be sitting at the table next to ours later that evening. Due to her lack of communication with her staff and her inability to kindly communicate with her customers, she was not aware that the party she was referring to was us (but we had moved up our reservation). So, in fact, no other party was coming as that room was reserved only for us for my WEDDING.It turns out that blonde woman was the night manager. I have never been spoken to like that in my life by a manager. I am disgusted by her behavior. We never received an apology. In fact, as my wedding party confronted her on her behavior as we left after she spoke to us in such a disgusting and uncalled manner, she hid. We ended up taking our business to a pub nearby. They lost out on a couple hundred dollar bill because of the way they decided to conduct themselves. No matter the circumstances, no staff, especially a manager should be speaking to customers in that way.I will NEVER return to this establishment and would give it ZERO stars if I could. I will do everything in my power to inform people of this experience and prevent anyone and everyone from coming here. You are better of taking your business somewhere else. It is not worth your time.I do hope that the owner of this place sees this and takes into consideration hiring a new manager.I also find the need to mention that COVID had nothing to do with the issues we faced, so do not try to tell me that you had to follow protocol.
Had dinner there last night, what a mess! There was a party going on in the other room and no one was wearing masks !!! As well they were wandering all over the place including to the bar without masks! The blonde woman who is the manager allowed this to happen while she was doing shots at the bar with some guy. The food and service was great but how are the rules different for others?
We came to this place last year and loved it. Came back today and it was terrible. Jack who works at the bar was just horrible attitude from the moment I stepped it . Food was terrible will never come back with so many other options avoid this place. Called to speak to the manager while I was still sitting outside and instead of just apologizing and trying to make things better he just said they understaffed.

2021-09-10Fantastic venue! I attended my niece’s wedding Labor Day weekend and stayed in one of the cabins. Everything was great—food, staff, the wedding planner Lynn. The cabins were clean, well-equipped, and look much better in person than on the website. Would highly recommend!

2021-10-10Ignore the bad reviews. The few 1 star reviews take down their rating, when in fact, this place is great. We had Mandy as our server and she was wonderful. Food and drinks were great as well as the view. Hidden gem. Would recommend to anyone!

2022-04-25Gorgeous views in a very comfy space. Fantastic menu, quite reasonable for the quality. Clams, Meatloaf, Seafood Pasta and the Cheesecake were excellent. Very friendly waitress was very helpful with recommendations. Scallops and Steak looked amazing for my Brothers dinner. Cannot say enough about the ambience. Sundays are discounted for locals. MUST GO BACK!!!

2022-02-18Well first of all, called to make a reservation for brunch as advertised. Tried for 12:30 but was told no tables available. So 1:00 it was! We get there and the whole restaurant was empty. A small party in the back. And maybe 2 tables of people. We were handed menues and told to pick 2 entrees and all the sides listed would come with it plus a basket of pastrys and bread. Was expecting a actual brunch lay out not family style. But we chose to try it out. The basket of pastrys were all pretty stale and gross. It came with one slice of a stale toasted bagel which was disgusting! We chose pancakes and pesto pasta. Sides were sweet potato home fries, scalion scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. Potatoes were mush and cold. The eggs were smothered with scallions to the point we couldnt eat them. The pancakes were dry and cold, the pesto pasta was drowned is what apeared to be Jared sauce which was also disgusting. The only good part of the meal was the bacon and sausage. When my 3 year old who eats his own buggers and dirt ses the food is gross...that means its pretty bad. We left basicly all the food on the table and denied to go containers. I guess that wasnt a good enough hint that it wasnt good because not one person asked how the food was. My sons mother ordered a mixed drink. The drink apeared to be very dark in color which i thought it didnt have much alcohol in it. And she took one sip and got instantly sick to the point she went to the bathroom and started vomiting. I looked in the drink and there was white stuff floating around the bottom of the drink. She said the cranberry juice tasted very. old. Being a signature drink she thought it would have been great! When i brought the drink to the waitress she lauged it off like it was a joke. No owner or manager came over to apologize. Will definitely never be stopping at this restaurant again when were in town on vacating trying to relax!

2021-07-21My short rib burger with pineapple and ham was awesome. Juicy and flavorful . My wife had the schnitzel sandwich which was also great. Our waitress was fabulous. The ambience was fair and there was only a view for two tables. ☹ But the food was really great.

2021-09-06If could have rated this experience 0 stars, I would have. The food was awful - all of it. Not one single item was enjoyable. The soup was definitely poured from a 88 cent can from the supermarket and the rest of the food was just as bad, from cold pasta with cheap pasta sauce and chicken that tasted actually rancid, to a salmon charred to no taste. The rice that came with the salmon was a glob of rice mush that had no seasoning.
