Food 3.5service 4Ambiance 4.5Happyhour menudrinks $8-10 (house wine$8, selected 🍹 $10)🦪 $2 each (not happyhour price though the quality was good)Skirt steak 🥩 was too salty but my husband liked it.Grilled Octopus 🐙 was great! Highly recommend.Mussels was a good dish too.🍟 was bad.. Too greasy and soaky?? How?????Outdoor dining tables set up was spacious and had a great vibe. (Basement bar too! Not sure why its closed)One thing.. please thoroughly clean tables… our table was sticky and fishy😭
Came here for bottomless brunch (mimosas) with friends. We made reservations in advance and had no problem getting a table (outside). In terms of ambiance, tables were spaced well but there was a DJ for music and it was waaaay too loud. Not sure if it was just this day or if this is how it normally is, but it felt like we should be at a club or something, not brunch catching up with friends. Because of the loud music you have to raise your voice to hear each other. If you eat inside, the downstairs interior is actually really beautiful and spacious. In terms of food, we got the Chicken and waffles (our first time). The chicken was tender and flavorful, but a little small in terms of portion size, compared to what I’ve typically seen restaurants serve when they have a chicken and waffles entree. The berry butter served on the waffle was tasty. The mimosas were VERY watered down, but they were pretty good at keeping our drinks full. For each table, they will give you a jug for the table, so that you can continue filling your glasses as needed and they only have to fill up the jug when empty.Overall, was fine but not great. You can definitely find other (better) places for boozy brunch.
I enjoyed this restaurant for breakfast and it’s been consistently good. It’s located inside a hotel and there’s a lot of seating in the main dining room and on a beautiful covered porch. The menu has all the traditional items like omelettes, waffles, toasts etc. All the food was fresh and tasted great. I’m only giving it 4 stars because it took forever to get my receipt and pay. Other than that, it’s a nice spot.
We had dinner here based on a few strong recommendations. The food was ok, not great. We had to send one dish back. The waitress was very nice but not very good. It seemed like they were short-handed with staff. The manager was a nice guy and very accommodating. I wish we had a better experience.
Recently became a dog mom and was looking for places that were dog friendly in the city. Found this place and the host was very friendly on the phone saying they can accommodate dogs in their heated patio. I called twice to confirm our reservation (with a pet in his carrier) for today. I got there early and they said our table wasnt ready and to come back at our reservation time at 2:30. Took my dog for a walk around the block and came back at reservation time to greet the host only to over hear her talking to a manager that someone who was maybe a regular prefers seating at the patio and so I had to wait again for a table. Another group with a dog came in and had the same reservation time but the host didnt know they had a dog with them. We were seated in the NOT HEATED corner of the patio. There was a 4 top under the heating lamps, a 2 top off to the side, and a 2 top on the far corner where we were seated. Food was good but turned off by the service and lack of professionalism. Most likely not coming back.
Brunch Food was a hit or mess. Definitely recommend the crab Mac & cheese or the hangover hash (NOT the fish taco or chicken + waffle) + cocktails are weak so the bottomless mimosas are more worth it. Id say the dog menu was the biggest waste. Your dog probably has better meals at home. Also another side note — DO NOT DO BIRTHDAYS HERE. I went for a birthday celebration and we agreed on a $5/pp cutting fee (total $55 since we had a large group) but they brought out the cake already cut. This is a Custom cake we spent so days pre-ordering, it was even given to them with candles, why would they cut it before presenting it to the table? Money spent on the cake design wasted as nobody had a chance to even see this cake. They claimed it’s because we said yes to the cutting fee, but let’s be real — everyone knows cutting comes after celebrating with the candles + cake, that is a ridiculous excuse. After seeing the birthday girl burst out in tears, they apologized by waiving the cutting fee and a tequila shot but… what can make up for that very silent moment when your table realizes the cake they spent time and effort getting and bringing here has gone into the void.
My wife and I enjoyed our time at The Wilson so much! The ambiance and service was incredible. AND THE FOOD … THE FOOD WAS JUST BLEW US AWAY!Our appetizers: Brussels Sprout tacos, Charred Octopus, and Hummus. All incredibly delicious and tasty. Our mains: Rigatoni Bolognese/Grilled Pork Chops was a great compliment to each other. We were so full but we had to do the trifecta. And boy were we glad we did. Dessert: Pumpkin Cheese Cake was the best I’ve ever had. Not kidding. Pistachio Olive Oil Cake was really soft and came with ice cream on top which complimented really well. I’m no foodie so I can’t describe as well as others but a must go!Enjoyed every bit of it! Thank you!
Lovely clean hotel. Rooms are small and efficient. Great night sleep. The HVAC actually works and is able to keep the temperature to your liking. The negatives are minor. I would suggest you bring your own shampoo AND soap. The shampoo was so drying I couldn’t get a comb through my hair. The hairdryer was terribly loud and inefficient. The toilet is so high off the ground at 5’4 my feet barely touched the ground. The shower floor is very slippery when wet. Would I stay her again? Absolutely the negatives with the exception of the toilet can be planned for. The night sleep makes up for all of it. As well as the friendly staff.
The SERVICE was AMAZING!! I had mentioned it was my friend’s birthday 🥳and they had a Happy Birthday sign on the table waiting for us! They also presented her with a yummy chocolate chip cookie with a candle in it at the end of our meal. The Brussels sprout tacos and the tater tots were our favorites! The bloody Mary’s were tasty (a bit small but strong!). And they have a doggie menu (see photo of our table neighbor waiting to go in on her steak & broccoli!).I didn’t love my frittata (not bad just not super flavorful) and I didn’t say anything but they Noticed i hadn’t eaten it and took it off the bill.THIS is how you keep customers!Only two suggestions:- Some vegan options please! Ie, use a vegan yogurt or sour cream for the Brussels tacos. Add an impossible burger to the menu?!- a few fans for the back garden!
A group of friends that work in the industry looking for a new place to try, so glad we found the wilson! It felt like a hidden gem. Service was great staff is very friendly and accomodating. The food we had was SO GOOD and my friends can be a bit picky but there was something for everyone. Manager was very nice and recommended great cocktails. Will definitely be back
We were seated downstairs because there was an event in the main area upstairs. The ambience at the Wilson was gorgeous, spacious, with high ceilings, dangling lights, an cool, enormous grass mural.Food is good, lots of healthy options. I ordered the cauliflower steak which was fresh and well made. My friend ordered the burger which she liked. Her fries couldve been a bit crispier but not a big deal.A little bit on the pricy side for what you are getting but all in all a decent place with a cool vibe for a casual dinner
Great experience! The place is great but the Team is also better!Special thanks to Julio, is not normal to be welcomed with a smile NY! Our breakfasts were fantastics with Julio and also thanks for your rrecommendations! You made our trip unforgettable.Cant wait to come back to The Wilson NYC!Noelia, Silvia & Javier
The ambiance was great and staff very friendly but the food was just okay. The chicken club had good ingredients but the burned flavor from the seared chicken was overpowering. I also hoped the bread would be more of the multigrain variety but it was still good. The fries were delicious though!
Needed a place where it was dog friendly since my friend brought her small dog and she found that place. I was a little uncomfortable because this was very new to me. But we all got comfortable and got our food and drinks. Bottomless Mimosas was IT! Food was really good actually. I was very surprised and we all had a freaking blast! I hope we can come back again for another great time! Well recommended! :D Thank You! Remember to make reservation before coming :)
Awesome place! The entire waitstaff is super nice and attentive. Brought my dog with me and the entire staff just loved her. It’s a super dog friendly place and I wish I had discovered it sooner!!! I will surely be visiting this place many more times. NYC is hard to find such dog friendly places and this is just a gem.
The Wilson offered service I have never experienced before living in NYC for almost 30 years. I brought my dog Zoey for her 11th birthday and as ridiculous as that sounds the staff at the Wilson treated my Zoey with so much love and helped make her day so special! Thank you so much for having me!
We searched for midtown dog friendly restaurants and picked The Wilson for my wifes Birthday...Definitely was great pick ,exceeded our expectations, Super dog friendly with dog menus and all the food was delicious, we loved the outside setting we huge big screen tv showing prime time sports ,drinks were great and service was A+
Spaceous interior with great service. Mediocre food. Usually dont notice this at restaurants but their tap water had a bad taste and I started wondering if something was wrong with their water filter system and if it filtered down to all of their food. I liked the brussel sprouts tacos. Innovative, flavorful dish. My husband didnt like it but mainly because he doesnt like brussel sprouts.
Went for dinner with two others. Disappointing, because the food and drinks (when they arrived) were actually quite delicious, but the service was horrendous. I ordered a cocktail (twigs, sprigs spritzer), which they forgot when the other drinks came. They also didn’t bring the fries (side dish) with the main dishes and we needed to ask two waiters and a manager before the fries ever came. We ordered a coke but it came flat so we asked if we could get a coke that was carbonated to which the waiter said it wasn’t possible and when we asked for sprite he said all of them would be the same (flat). On top of all that, with the new mandate on covid, we expected to be ID’ed and asked for proof of vaccination. All three of us arrived at different times, and none of us were asked for ID or proof of vaccination. They were reported to Department of Health.
The best meal I’ve ever had! Honestly. The food was of such quality and freshness. Every bite was packed with so much flavor. I’d eat here every week if I could. The staff was super friendly and the service was great! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone dining out in the city. Plus the decor is great for fun photo ops.
This was my first visit to The Wilson and I will definitely be back! We sat in The Rose Garden, which was lovely. The menu is small but if everything is as fresh and delicious as what we had, that is fine. Our cocktails were perfectly mixed and our waiter was wonderful.
The Wilson was amazing !🥰 my fiancé and I came here for our anniversary brunch before doing some sightseeing and were greeted with a lovely receptionist and a card on the table that said happy Anniversary! The atmosphere is so pretty and dog friendly so we got to stare at all the cute furry friends while waiting for our food. The food was great ! I got the chicken and waffles wasn’t all that thrilled about the waffle but the chicken was great! My fiancé got the crab Benedict and I ate his more than mine was delicious!Their drinks are yummy! They also gave us a happy Anniversary cookie we were so full though but it was a sweet gesture and definitely gave us a good start to the exploration!
We had not planning stop here after party at FIT it was surprising testy simple and fresh, not expensive and unique with test, not trying to be anything else. We are definitely going back here next time to try other thing. BTW they have oyster for 1$ at Thursday- crazy
This place is stunning. The food? Absolutely not. It’s such a large and upscale looking place for the food to be such a small and ...not so great selection. Brussel sprout tacos ? Calamari that’s soggy, served in sweet and sour sauce ? It seems like they tried to get creative and failed terribly. I’m not a picky eater and I couldn’t touch anything. Was really put off.
I was really pleasantly surprised when I heard that my friends at the Wilson are making deliveries! Excellent!I fell in love with their brunch menu at first sight! Their Swiss Chard Ravioli is probably one of the best that you can find in this part of town. Their menu is rich with great options for everyone. Have you ever heard about Brussels Sprout Tacos? I haven’t until I went there. My vegan friends are crazy about it! And about that Shaved Broccoli Caesar. Marvelous!Dinner’s great, too! Grab Manhattan Clam Chowder or Smoked Carrot Hummus, and pour it with some excellent Rose Brut, Gruner Veltliner, or Cabernet Sauvignon. You can go casual, too. Try mixing Five Boroughs Tiny Juicy Ipa Or Cisco Whale’s Tale Pale Ale With Double Patty Burger Or A Fried Chicken Sandwich.Back in the day, when everything used to operate normally, the service was superb. A cool, modernistic place, with a chill atmosphere. The interior has a unique look that you can check on their website. You can’t mistake it once you see it.The topping of the cake is the comedy nights with SAM MORRIL. The ticket used to cost about $20 bucks. I don’t know how they proceed with that today, but I have to check!
My introduction was not great and I was ready to turn around and go somewhere else until we met Maria. Maria was welcoming, attentive and an all around positive attitude. I guess the gentleman working the booth upon entry may be having a bad day but Maria definitely turned out experience around within seconds of meeting. I would give Maria and the kitchen staff 100 stars, the gentleman in the front booth cost The Wilson the single star.
Honestly, the Wilson NYC has the best service I received so far from restaurants reopening post COVID. Ive dine at Gramercy Tavern and Crownshy recently and their service is horrible along with there food options. The Wilson NYC waiters and waitresses were so attentive, kind and accommodating which made the dining experience exceptional. This is something which is lacking in the industry post covid. I will definitely revisit for another brunch session!
We dined at The Wilson on a recent Friday. I received an email that evening asking for feedback. I was thinking, my goodness, I hadnt even made it home yet and already theyre asking for a survey? This was the email:---------------------How was your experience at The Wilson on August 6? We appreciate your feedback and we look forward to seeing you again soon.---------------------Okay, no big deal, I thought. On the way home, my date, who got to the restaurant a bit before I did, told me that the bartender, a red-haired male, was very rude to her, and on top of that she sat there for a long time before anyone helped her. Whoever heard of a bartender acting this way? The Chinese have a saying, A man who does not smile should not open a shop. And it was late afternoon/early evening, and she was the ONLY person at the bar.Im the type of customer who would politely address this while still in the restaurant, but I didnt know this had happened until we were on the way home. On Saturday, I wrote a very nice email to the address on the restaurants website and received no response. On Monday morning, I received this infuriating follow-up from the Director of Guest Relations & Hospitality. What a highfalutin title indeed! Really, youre going to write me this kind of an impertinent email because I didnt fill out a survey the same day we dined at the restaurant? Give me a break!Who at this company approved this kind of email? I know were all trying to be oh so hip and cool, but this is downright offensive, especially considering I got no response from my email sent on Saturday.Dont reach out for 3 days!---------------------Dear Dan,Isn’t that the golden rule for securing the second date? Here we go, 3 days after your 1st visit here at The Wilson we haven’t heard back from you. So, you are playing hard to get. We’ve all done it before. But since we really enjoyed having you dine with us recently, we would love to have you back. When you book next, please make sure to use my personal reservation page - Stephen Malys Booking Access. Thanks so much, we can’t wait to see you again.Cheers!---------------------One thing I have learned, instead of writing a bad review, I try to resolve the issue with the establishment first. I emailed Mr. Dr. Director of Guest Relations & Hospitality back on Monday and sent him the polite complaint email that I had sent on Saturday, and guess what, here it is two weeks later, and no response from anyone! It will be a cold day in hell before I ever set foot in The Wilson again!
We came here for my mom’s birthday and it was great! The downstairs was closed for a private event so we were seated upstairs in a corner booth table. It would have been perfect except the green, red and blue lights from the party downstairs were a bit annoying. The hostess quickly found us another table which was perfect. We were waited on by both Sal and the bar manager Eric. They were both incredibly nice and attentive!! The food was also delicious. Especially the oyster sliders and the fish!! Would definitely go back!
One of the best overall restaurant experiences I’ve had in my life. The customer service and energy of the workers is unmatched and I do not say this lightly. Never in my life have I received a happy birthday card signed by employees at a restaurant in my life...not until dining at The Wilson, that is. Not only did we receive a birthday card but we also received two complimentary glasses of champagne and a dessert with candles! Not to mention the friendly and engaging conversation. They go above and beyond...not just with the customer service either. The food and cocktails were absolutely amazing. I can not recommend dining at The Wilson highly enough. Also, the elevators and decor are something special. Do yourself a favor and grab dinner there!
We ate here on Monday night which has a special Moules night with a beer for $20. Excellent value, plenty to eat and delicious. We didn’t want the spicier sauce so the chef did a white wine sauce instead. Great service too, we were well looked after. My friend had the bread pudding which was very tasty and could have been shared between two.
The food, drinks, and atmosphere are great. It was a cold night and the enclosed patio area is awesome, with a garden feel and huge heaters. The waiter wasn’t great but it didn’t bother me much since the Mule (with coconut and chili) and the Blue Crab Carbonara were so good.
The Wilson...great place to meet up with friends for a bite and catch up. Attentive and patient service, very nice! I had the Avocado Fries (to die for) and the Cuban Sandwich ( Ill pass next time). My friend had the Shrimp Pad Thai and it was delish, with huge portions! The mimosas were very good. This Wilson is dog friendly! Very tastefully decorated.

Passed by the Wilson during a visit to New York. Thought it had a nice vibe so decided to go and check it out for dinner the following night. So glad we did. The food was really good. Small menu but plenty to suit most tastes. The Trademark Brick Chicken was stunning and the side of roast Brussel sprouts made it all so good. My other half had the burger and seemed to enjoy it as much as I enjoyed my chicken. Great service and a warm comfortable area. One of the highlights of our visit.
The food, drink and service are fantastic and it is dog friendly year-round, making it a big hit with locals as much as the guests staying at the adjoining hotel. We have never had bad service or a bad meal - brunch, lunch or dinner. It also is great for larger parties so it is a popular spot, especially during weekend brunch, for group birthday celebrations. You wont be disappointed!
Nice restaurant and bar in the lobby of a hotel, the outdoor seating area is excellent when the weather is right. Very attentive service and friendly staff. Solid food and drinks but not quite at the five-star level. Would recommend to anyone in the area for drinks or lunch, although there might be better options for dinner nearby.
Took my wife, 8 month old daughter and father-in-law to this place just last week. PHENOMENAL atmosphere, food and service. The waiter, Sal, went above and beyond for us and made the experience precisely what it was = outstanding. Looking forward to going back many more times!
It is my second stay at the hotel, I have to say that the category has dropped a lot, I do not recommend taking breakfast included, they give you 6 things to choose from and you only get what you ask for a drink, a coffee or a juice. They take a long time to attend. Regarding the hotel service one day after being out all day we had to call to have the room made, another day we called for the same thing but they said there were no staff, although the drink is included, you have to be asking for it all day so that they can upload it to you, one day we have not had towels, in short, the quality leaves much to be desired

2021-09-26Great food and ambience! We sat in the back which has day beds for seating and cool decorations like a plant wall and floating umbrellas. The food we had was great, especially the oysters and lobster which were extremely fresh! Also the oysters were shucked perfectly with no bits of shell. It’s on the bottom floor of a hotel and they have indoor and outdoor seating. Also the staff was extremely friendly and did not charge us for replacing a knocked over drink. I’d definitely come back!

2022-01-19It is a restaurant week in NYC, so we decided to check out the Wilsons restaurant weeks special. $39 per person - an appetizer, main and dessert. Not a bad deal at all. The food was yummy, service was great and super attentive. Would definitely go back to try their brunch. A great date spot.

2021-12-24I’ve been here for several times. But it’s my first time for lunch. Good as usual! I really enjoy the foods and the environment here. Seafood is the most recommended. Octopus, calamari and mussels on dinner menu can’t be missed.

2021-11-18I thought my experience here was okay - nothing special but nothing bad. The fries and shishito peppers were great, hangar steak was solid but for some reason not warm. I would skip the spicy tuna tacos - the fish did not seem fresh. We were happy that we tried it here and it was overall a good experience. The wait staff was also very friendly. The space itself is REALLY big. They have a huge area including downstairs where the bathrooms are, which make it feel like it was built to host a party.I found this place via Seated so Im glad I didnt pay full price, but dont think I would come back.

2022-04-26Had a perfect meal at the Wilson. We sat on the patio, the weather was great and so was the service. I love that you can bring your dog! Would definitely recommend!

2021-12-15Came here for brunch. It was perfect. Low key, attentive staff, food is DELICIOUS but slightly pricey. Making Champagne and Oysters a regular thing.

2021-10-26Oh my god. The food here was amazing!!! I was really hesitant to try the brussel sprout tacos at first because I mean ....come on now.. brussel sprout tacos dont even sound tempting to most people who love tacos like I do..I am absolutely a meat eater so when I think tacos I think meat....but I saw a bunch of people around me getting them ..so I decided to give them a shot and Im really glad that I did.... So if youre even considering the brussel sprout tacos ...dont even think about it any longer... just do it... you wont be disappointed.i had the hangover hash. That by far was the best hash Ive ever had. My spouse had the chicken and waffles with blueberries. I wasnt really impressed with that so Im glad I didnt order that because it was the first thing that I looked at on the menu before deciding to get the hash. She liked it...so that is fine but I didnt...My friend had the the lobster mac and cheese which he said was delicious. The black noodles were pretty interesting and gave it a nice little twist. I tasted it...it was tasty but nothing was better than my hash! My other friend had the lobster Benedict. She said It was delicious. I didnt taste it myself.. so I really cant testify ...but it looked great... The atmosphere was amazing! Friendly wait staff. Would definitely eat here again!

2021-09-24FUN, CHIC & FABULOUS with AMAZING food AND service! From the opening Hummus that was fresh, not ladened with Tahini but bright, unctuous, super jam-packed with deliciousness to the butter poached lobster roll mini bites. We didnt stop there, as we enjoyed the Philly Cheesesteak-esque Hanger Steak that had luscious Provolone and specks of Pepperoncini wrapped around tender steak slices, while warmed and textured through a pressed Panini. We also had the shaved Broccoli Caesar with plump, juicy grilled shrimp. The dressing was light, puckered and rich. Although I usually get dressings on the side because I dont like drowned greens, this was TOO GOOD to resist or complain AND FILLING.We definitely had doggie bags to go, while being blessed with the Chocolate Chip Skillet cookie with Salted Caramel Gelato. Thankfully, we shared dessert because there was no way!Service was JUST as top notched as the food. From the hosts to our Server Julio, everyone was efficient, extremely personable without being overbearing or intrusive. They celebrated our festivity without crashing our party.Overall, great for 1st date or multi-yeared anniversary and all occasions in-between, including rocking solo. The atmosphere is HOT without being pretentious or overwhelming. LOVED The Wilson!

2021-08-26Came here Saturday noonish for brunch with my gf and a dog she was dog sitting. We had previously came in a few days ago to book a reservation in person for the Rose Garden section as the directions were super unclear on how to book an outdoor spot with a dog. We were seated promptly upon arrival. Upon entering the terrace, you walk into an atmosphere where it is obvious the space is made to be very IG friendly.Service is great for the most part. It didnt seem like we had a designated server as different staff members attended to our attention. Super knowledgable about their menu in terms of best sellers, quantity (especially the dog menu items), and their personal favorites. We started off with Brussels Sprout Tacos ($15) for appetizers. This is one of their top selling items, which is surprising given that its Brussels Sprout, but theyre actually really good. Maybe thanks to the Thai chili, pepper jam, and caramelized yogurt. I also ordered a glass of Irish Iced Coffee ($14). Pretty self explanatory, consisting of Irish whiskey, cold brew, and coffee cream. For entrees, we shared the Hangover Hash ($17) and Crab Benedict ($21). Both of these dishes you cant go wrong. The Hangover Hash consisted of fennel sausage, poached eggs, duck fat onions, and hollandaise sauce. The Crab Benedict included buttered crab on an English muffin with hollandaise sauce on top and a side salad. Both dishes will surely fill you up and relieve you of your hangover (especially the carb heavy Hangover Hash). We also got a Dog Biscuit ($3) for the dog because you cant let the dog stare at you all day while you eat delicious food. We were wary of ordering actual food for the dog off the dog menu, as it wasnt our dog and we didnt know what the owner would be okay with.

2022-01-14I think I’m a fan of this place. Fantastic attention, great food, dog menu was great! 💕 I love going out with my dog and that he has a comfortable place to be, and it couldn’t be better.
