The Wine & Liquor Outlet in other cities:
I recently went to the WALO to see if I could get some boxes for my upcoming move. I asked the gentleman at the counter if they had any and was pleasantly surprised when he pointed to the literal wall of boxes for the taking!! But then, he proceeded to tell me that they were TWENTY-FIVE CENTS A PEICE!! (For empty boxes that would otherwise be THROWN AWAY!?! Amirite!?!) Dont get me wrong...I have ZERO issue paying for something...however, in this case -- & I dunno know if its just me (and every friend and family member Ive told since) -- but that just seems a bit like highway robbery to me!! But, they do have every right to do as they wish... ANYWAYYY, I digress! I just know where Ill be getting my boxes from next time!! 😉👍

Nice selection and ok price but you are on your own, customer service poor, no eye contact, no floor help, one word answers, mostly the word no.Sure, quick check out is nice but, no smile or thank you or able to answer any questions. Both older women working act like they are not being paid to be there. Very rude and definitely not customer service oriented or happy to have your business.
Not very happy with this store. The floor looks like its been abused for 50 years, i grabbed a bottle of junior johnsons moonshine and the jars were very dusty, i looked at some of the wine bottles and other bottles in the store and they to were very dusty. The manager was not very welcoming or nice. The prices aren’t the best here. I will be taking my business to the walnut ave and wrights corners store from now on, they have better prices and are nicer.
I shop here pretty regularly and they have great prices usually good service but today I was met with one of the rudest cashiers. In a time like now we should be more understanding and respectful but instead I was pretty much told if Im concerned about a virus I shouldnt be shopping in the store. Mind you I was very well protected with ppe. It was my last trip out for a long long time and I asked if I may remove my mask outside 6 feet away and got met with resistance. This is an airborne illness removing my mask within 6 feet would cause me to be exposed and increase a possibility of getting it. They do not practice safe distancing at this location and you will be told to remove ppe equipment from your face. Not shopping their again. Good luck everyone stay safe
There was a young woman in the store today browsing. Without a mask. I called to her, she ignored me. I brought it to the attention of the staff who was unwilling to intervene with her and rude to me - I was certainly not wanting to cause a scene, but I expected that an employee would approach her - even with a cloth she could cover her face with. I have been a respectful client for many years. This was absolutely unacceptable behavior on the part of your staff/management and until I know that your protocols are consistent with the current LAW, I will never do business at your establishment again.
Reasonable prices & nice selection, but the staff are always rude & unfriendly, and today is the last time I will do business in this store. I had my teenage son come into the store to help purchase wine. I grabbed the gift bag & he walked up & placed the bottles on the counter as he helped me figure out if both bottles would work in gift bag. I was rudely asked how old he was. I told the cashier that he was my son and gave her his age. I offered my drivers license & she rudely said she did not need it. I explained that he was helping me as I had both arms in braces. I paid for my purchase & she sharply snapped he cant carry it for you. Before I paid for it, my son took the wine to counter as staff members behind counter starred at us. Not a word mentioned. After the purchase is made, cashier said I can have someone help you, but he cant. I politely told her I have someone in car who could help me. Unbelievable! They definitely lack in customer service. Their store policy is farcical at best. A policy that allowed a teenager to carry two bottles of wine throughout the store, but not out the door. I am happy to take business elsewhere.
I agree with Karen who said Reasonable prices & nice selection, but the staff are always rude & unfriendly, and today is the last time I will do business in this store. Ditto. I have been a loyal customer for more than 5 years and spend well more than $1000/year here. Today, I was hoping to exchange a bottle of wine. I had purchased two bottles of it about three weeks ago - I opened one a couple days ago and did not care for it. I bought back the second bottle today, with the receipt, and was told that it could not be returned. There is nothing at the cash register that explains the return policy and nothing on line, either. The manager, Laurie, explained that they do not take returns because they are unsure of whether or not a customer might kept it under extreme hot or cold conditions, which would have spoiled the wine. OK, I get it and I cannot argue with that, and I respect that. I asked Laurie if she would consider giving me a 10% discount off another bottle of wine, as a sign of good will towards a loyal customer, and she would not. I asked her if she were willing to do anything at all to alleviate my dissatisfaction, and she was steadfast in her refusal. Bottom line: because Store Manager Laurie would not even consider giving me a 10% discount on a $12-$15 bottle of wine, the hard-working owner of the store not only lost a loyal customer, but hundreds of dollars in future revenue-- all because a manager didnt feel that it was worth $1.20 - $1.50 in gross revenue to keep a loyal customer happy.
Boasting the largest wine and spirits selection in the area, Wine & Liquor Outlet is where most of this area has to go to buys libations. The pricing is average for near Lockport; however, its far less than most city stores. The staff is ever-changing and can be less than friendly at times. But the options here are truly (almost) endless.
Prices are always well below other liquor stores. Selection is wonderful. They even have the Johnson Estate wines from Westfield, N.Y. that i love. There is always someone there that asks me if I need help. Shopping carts available right at the door. Discounts on cases. I go there a vouple times a month.
This isnt their fault but why does the state of NY close liquor stores so early?? The employees were friendly, pushy for the wanting to help me bt thats because of the store closing time.. I had to rush. I dont even drink that often and the 4 other people that walked in at the same time as me were in and out so I was being difficult. I wont be back....til next year...
They claim to be thr cheapest in town but I think other places like Butlers in Tonawanda and Queen City Liquors in North Buffalo are comparable if not cheaper.I wrnt out for a good sale Item and it wasnt even on sale anymore. The regular price is higher than other places. If you live nearby, maybe its worth it. To road trip, no.

2021-02-14Very large variety of wines and liquors. The store is clean, and well organized, just look up at the signs. The employee was very helpful when we had questions about certain products. If your looking for late harvest or ice wines they are directly next to the register. They also have beautiful gift sets for several different types of liquor. I thought everything was priced fairly, I walked away spending more than I had anticipated. I live roughly 46minutes away and I will definitely make the long trip there again.

2021-10-09Fantastic service - two people asked if we needed help finding something. I asked about two particular wines & he walked us over & showed us the exact wines we asked for. Kudos to the staff! Definitely recommend this store!
