I was apprehensive coming here since no other place compared to the city salon Ive been going to the last 20 years.What a surprise it was! My eyebrows havent looked this good in a long time.Shusma is amazing! Not only is she detailed and attentive, but she is so sweet and kind. Definitely give this little gem a try...you wont be disappointed!
I went in to check out this new place today.What a pretty salon! I was greeted by the two ladies who were so lovely and welcoming. I had my eyebrows threaded for the first time. It was pain free! I got a relaxing temple massage with some lotion, it felt wonderful. I left looking and feeling great .I will definitely be back and I highly recommend!
I got my eyelashes done there twice. Cluster once, then the singles and I loved both ! The owner is so nice and does an amazing job. I also get my eyebrows threaded there twice a month and they always do do a great job. Highly recommend.
I love coming here. Such a wonderful atmosphere. I feel so confident and comfortable with the whole staff. Best place for quality and prices. I always leave happy and I come once a week. They’re the best !!! Eyebrows, lashes and all my waxes get done here
I went to go get my eyebrows done for the first time and the I would absolutely recommend it to anyone! The two ladies are SO FRIENDLY and caring. The lady that did my eyebrows did a fantastic job and was very gentle. Mean while the owner was being social and making the visit more pleasant. The place was also beautifully decorated with a red and blue theme.
I’m so glad I found this establishment and had the pleasure of meeting Shusma. I was recommended to them by my mother. This was the first time I got eyelash extensions of any kind. I was extremely nervous and skeptical. The process took 2 hours which sounds like a lot but being in the private room with the soft and comfortable table and soothing music it was a very relaxing experience. After the install was complete and I saw myself I was so pleased!! In the days following I felt like my eyelashes started to look better and better. I love the way I looked even without makeup, and I’ve gotten so many compliments. All around amazing experience!! Thank you Shusma 😘
I happened to discover this salon by accident and I am so happy that I discovered it. Their prices are extremely reasonable. The atmosphere is very friendly and Shusma is very eager to please. The salon is very, very neat and clean. I got a haircut, blow dry, and my eyebrows threaded all for $35.00! You cant beat that price. I will definitely be a regular customer here!! I had an overall great experience and have been recommending to friends and family.
Excellent threading! My eyebrows have never looked this good. Ive been getting my brows threaded for years, and Makeover Planet is by far THE BEST! You wont be disappointed. Also, the women who work and own the salon are so nice.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE MAKEOVER PLANET! I received inidividual eyelash extensions and instantly fell in love. The owner made the experience relaxing and comfortable since it is a lengthy process. The lashes give me confidence with and without makeup on. I’m so satisfied with my visit and cannot wait to go back in four weeks to get them refilled. Highly recommend makeover planet for lashes, as well as eyebrows!😍
I am from NJ w/ many threading options. I moved in the area little over a year ago and found that the threading options were slim to none. While shopping @ the local supermarket I noticed something new opening. I got so excited when I realized it was a threading salon. I went once and was very 😊 happy! Then I decided to go again and this time, I also got “lashed” and I was happy as well. The ladies are amazing and we also had great conversation. I will definitely be back for both services! I always wanted to check this salon out and i am so glad i did. The atmosphere is amazing the place is clean the approach when you walk in is so friendly felt right at home. I got a wash cut & blow out by Sharina absolutely in love with the way it came out i had damaged hair and was in desperate need of a cut Sharina took her time to talk with me asked me what i wanted gave me tips here and there. I would highly recommended her and i will continue to go to the salon i also got my eyebrows threaded & i am in love with them she cleaned them up and that is all i wanted. So happy they listened. I saw the sign and stopped in on Saturday. I had the best threading experience ever. My eyebrows, chin, lip, allover were very professionally cared for. I have had threading many other places. This was by far the best experience. My face was massaged after, I left feeling wonderful.
I just went and got my eyebrows threaded at Makeover Planet yesterday and I have to say, this is one of the most AMAZING salons I’ve ever had the pleasure of going to! Not only are the prices amazing ($10 for eyebrow threading!!..... I was paying $20 at another salon in town 🤯) but the job they did turned out WAY BETTER than any other place I’ve had my eyebrows done! My eyebrows have been “off” and not looking so good since I went and had them waxed at a nail salon in Pleasant Valley, and Makeover Planet fixed them with ease and have my eyebrows looking better than they have EVER looked! I’m soooo excited about this gem of a salon! They just opened roughly 6 weeks ago, so they aren’t super busy yet (Once people realize how awesome they are I’m sure the line will be out the door) I walked in and walked straight into the chair to get my eyebrows done and once she was finished threading she gave me the most relaxing and AMAZING face/temple massage .... oh my god you have no idea how fantastic that massage felt!! Then, bc they were slow I decided to have Shusma blow out and curl my hair for me ..... and I’m sooooooo happy I did!!!! My hair came out beautifully! Everyone I ran into yesterday gushed about how awesome my hair came out! I HIGHLY recommend checking this salon out, you certainly won’t be disappointed!!
Makeover planet is honestly the best place to be. They are very comforting people, they are kind and make you feel welcome. Shusma And Rajani made sure my experience was amazing. The amount of positive energy you receive here is impeccable. Not only did they make this a good experience but I got my eyebrows tinted and threaded and i say job well done. The outcome is wonderful and I believe this is the best place to come to to get the job done. I don’t think this place can be any more perfect!!!

Sooo I came here literally last minute hoping someone could help me look decent enough to attend a concert I had previously purchased tickets for. I was SICK & feeling absolutely horrible when I walked into Makeover Planet but I walked out feeling AMAZING! I got my lashes, my hair & my eye brows done for an awesome price and with top notch quality & service! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!! The kindness that was offered to me was absolutely unparalleled to any I’ve ever received any other place! I truly will become a long lasting customer! 💜💜💜💜
I went into the salon and was greeted my two lovely woman. They answered all my questions about threading. I did not feel rushed or pressured to have proceedure done. It did not hurt at all. They were so gentle. The massage at the end was such a nice surprise. I was offered a beverage and candy. I left feeling like I had a mini vacation. I will be back soon. Since moving from the city I have not been able to find a place that would shape my eyebrows the way I wanted them. This place is amazing! They listen to what you want and make sure you come out happy. The prices are great. Wait time is minimal in a clean and beautiful environment. Highly recommended
Went here last minute to get a wash and blowout. I was very impressed. Its not easy to find someone who is able to deal with my hair and give me a good blow out. She did an amazing job!! Ill definitely will be coming back!
The first day open everybody was so polite they offered me threading and when I was finished she gave me a eyebrow massage and I was in HEAVEN! I WILL COME back everytime I get my eyes brows! The environment was very comfortable
I am sorry I didnt find this place sooner. I moved up here a few years ago and hadnt found a great threading spot. My eyebrows are finally looking sharp again! I am loving my eyebrows again. Highly recommended.
It was a great experience. I wasn’t rushed at all and love the eyebrow tinting overall it was exceptional and will continue going back and highly recommend many to get their eyebrows And eyelash done there.

2022-05-13I went here for the first time today in preparation for my baby shower. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for over 10 years and have visited many salons. Shushma was so kind and gentle and listened to what I wanted. Never in the amount of time Ive gone to get my brows threaded has someone asked me mid service to check and see if I liked what she was doing. As someone who takes their brows seriously, I really appreciated that as it can be intimidating trying a new salon. Shushma really knows what she was doing and the whole service was pain free! I absolutely love how my brows came out and am excited to have found my new go-to spot!

2021-12-31My eyes brows are thick so I like to keep this clean and have them shape them for me. I believe the lady does an good job doing the eye brows, I’ve no complaint. Oh yes she also does eyes lashes amazingly from what others I know tell me so definitely call and make an appointment :)

2021-08-25I was new to the area and having trouble finding a place to get my eyebrows done when I stumbled upon Makeover Planet. And boy, am I happy I did! Honestly, my eyebrows have never looked better (and Ive been to many places across NYC and the country). The woman that threaded for me (whom Ive been to twice now, apologies for forgetting your name!), has a great eye and always makes sure my brows look lovely--not too thin, and perfectly symmetrical. I also have a very low pain tolerance and she is always gentle and checks in to make sure Im ok. Lastly, their booking system is great. Im used to walk-in style salons and was a bit taken aback when the woman at the front desk asked me to book online the first time... but in practice, especially with COVID, I see now that the online system is actually amazing. Really fast and it even reminds me when I have appointments booked. Anyway, its small businesses like these that are doing everything right. When I leave the area in a few weeks Makeover Planet will be one of my most missed Hudson Valley gems!

2021-05-01This was my very 1st time and I had lash extensions put in one by one and the quality of my lashes are amazing. Its is now a week later and my lashes are still in tact. Not 1 has even fallen out yet. To think about the patience taken with me because my eye lids kept twitching soooooo bad for no apparent reason and she was still willing to make me look fabulous. I am now addicted to my lashes and will definitely be going back for my fills.

2020-11-23My lashes came out awesome. She is so nice and and quick the whole classic set took her under hr and 20 minutes. I definitely won’t be going anywhere else again since you can’t beat the price, time and how good the lashes came out.

2019-08-20I rarely leave reviews for places, but this one definitely deserves a shout out. The atmosphere of the salon itself is immediately calming, and everyone is welcoming. The brow threading is super quick, comes out amazing and at a great price! Also got my lashes done here, and both the experience (surprisingly relaxing) and lashes themselves are completely worth going here for. Absolutely becoming a regular here.
