Im Irish/Sicilian raised in Ozone Park and raised around some amazing Italian food. Ive lived in the Bronx on and off since 2004 and now consecutively for eleven years. I have been craving some nostalgia from my youth in Ozone Park and today I found that! I had an awesome Ravioli with garlic bread, alongside great conversation with the gentlemen employed here. I intend to visit often.
This place has been around a very long time. Its been serving everyone in the neighborhood for many years. all the civil servant all the night shift workers as well as the neighborhood. Everyone comes here for good pizza and a variety of different foods. They always put plenty of quality into their Pizza as well as their dishes. Theres definitely a difference between this pizza shop and many others in the neighborhoodThis place has literally from the twin brothers and the employees that been with them for years. This place has been loyal to the neighborhood even after closing. They reopened up with the same employees the same good food and the same reputation that quality will always come first in their food. The three boys from Italy is all aces in my book you cant go wrong with this location. Over 30 years and still going strong. Thank you for your service! If you enjoyed the review. You know what to do👍. Thank you in advance for your time.
I love this place one of my co workers put me on and the pizza here is worth it. They take card for over ten bucks. The food here is so good so fresh. Its properly seasoned and thick. This is where its at. If I lived in brooklyn Id travel to the bronx for it. Like thats literally how good it is. We take road trips from Westchester New York just to get to go pies from here. They are lit.
BEST pizza in NY. Been to all the boroughs and yes there are some good ones but this by far ranks number one. Huge slices, crunches when you bite into the slice, NEVER greasy, always perfect amount of cheese , and the sauce is on the spot !!! Flour power is what it’s all about. Glad to see they are back from the fire and hope for many more years of great NY Pizza
The place just reopened today - Presidents Day - and it seems like half the Bronx was waiting for a slice or two! Despite the crowd of customers, the staff was quick in filling orders. The slices of pizza are big, cheesy and delicious so it looks like Burke Avenue has their pizza shop back, up and running now. Im sure their valued customers will be returning in droves and those new to the area will discover for themselves how good the pizza at Three Boys really is. Also, dont forget to try the calzones - they are big, packed with flavor and delicious!
One thing I love is that the place is very clean and looked new despite being open for a few years. I thought the pizza was ok the cheese was not the higher quality mozzarella I like and the crust a little bit on the thicker side. The sauce also had a slight metallic taste like an out the can sauce which is a pet peeve of mine. I really like pizza and tend to be picky I know this place is a local favorite but I thought it was OK overall, Iwould eat there again if I were hungry but not necessarily recomend their pizza to a friend. Also they do not deliver.
Best pizza in NY/Bronx! Slices are huge. Sicilian slice are thick & crispy. Pizza sauce is good. Menu is huge. Calzones are packed with stuffing. Many choices of calzones. Street parking available outside establishment. Service is quick. Late night hours open on weekends.
This pizzeria has been an institution for close to 50 years in the Burke Avenue neighborhood. When the fire forced them to close down the community was devastated! They are BACK stronger and better than ever! Worth the trip to go get authentic Italian Pizza and cuisine! Their calzones are to die for! Welcome Back and God Bless! Once you taste the best youll never settle for the rest!
I thought the pizza here was just okay, although above average for a giant slice place. First off, this place rubs me the wrong way because they have too many rules. Theres no bathroom, you pay for ice, 2 ways are prohibited...I mean I know these things can be issues in the Bronx, but you dont need to put up so many signs about them. The place is one big open space, with like 3 4-person tables and everything else behind a counter. The staff was friendly enough, and the tile work around the walls was nice looking for the Bronx, but of course all this means nothing. What does mean something is the pizza. I thought the crust, cheese, and sauce here were all thoroughly mediocre. The sauce didnt stand out and there wasnt that much to begin with; the cheese was okay quality but there was too much of it. The crust was a typical giant slice crust: doughy and completely unremarkable. As a whole, it wasnt terrible for some reason but nothing remarkable what so ever. Just because the slices are huge doesnt make it great pizza. This is pretty good for the area all things considered, but Im not sure why this place has as good a rep as it does. Id skip this one unless youre in the immediate area looking for a cheap meal.
Ive been going to this place since I was 6 years old. One of the best pizzarias in the city. Same owners for over fifty years. Great guys spinning their pies. Unfortunately, the neighborhood is not what it was when I was growing up, but its still worth the drive when Im in need of the taste from my past.
Ill stop here to get a slice because its easy, but otherwise, not a huge fan because of the prices. $3 for a slice (after tax) is insane. Especially when its just basic pizza. I used to get pepperoni, but with how much they charge for toppings and how it floods the pizza with grease (seriously. Its like an 8 napkin job), I dont even bother. Slushies/fountain juices are overpriced too. Garlic knots are probably the best value. 4 huge knots for $2 and they dont offer marinara or anything. Theyre fairly efficient with the speed of heating everything.Oh, dont ask for parmesan cheese. They dont keep any there. They mostly get 2 stars because its edible and close to the train.
I didn’t have the pleasure of going to this store when it was first open before but now that it’s back I chose to give it a try. This place is making it off of prior reputation alone! The slices are bland and if you buy only one it leaves you quite hungry. And OH BOY is one slice gonna set you back 3 bucks. It says 2.75 but they charge tax for slices....TAX! And one small pizza sets you back almost 20...for a small pie. The pizza was okay nothing masterful and definitely not worth that crazy price.
This place is a staple in the North Bronx area; especially to the people who live on or around Burke ave. They serve typical pizza store food from slices to beef patties with loads of mozzarella cheese. They also sell Restuarant style food such as pasta (which they have many options for the style pasta you might like). I go here in a pinch, kinda last minute eats because they have raised their prices recently and to be honest the pizza quality differs on many different trips there. Service is decent. No credit cards which still bothers me about this place.PS. This is a strictly to-go place because they are only about 3 booths to sit at.
Placed an order over the phone for pick up, as they do not deliver. Over the phone I specified that I wanted plain penne vodka with no meat included. When I got home and opened my order there were giant chunks of bacon some pieces burnt some pieces very fatty mixed all inside of the penne. I called back to ask the restaurant what happened and why they included bacon when I specified that I did not eat meat. The worker at the restaurant was very nonchalant, he even laughed! he seemed to not care at all that I was unhappy with a dish that I had traveled to pick up. He told me that this is how they always make the dish and that all of his customers know this already so he did not feel the need to exclude bacon. He talked over me and was very argumentative. Needless to say, if you are a new customer to this restaurant you may want to beware! Specific requests are not honored nor do they prioritize making the customer happy

2022-07-03The pizza taste good, the problem is the price, its $4.25 for a single slice, super expensive and on top of that they charge tax. This is the only pizza shop I have ever been to in my life that charges tax. The prices are ridiculous, I can understand if they are in mid town Manhattan, but its in the ghetto in the Bronx, gimme ah break. I even got into it with one of the workers telling him prices are way to high and Ive been coming here since I was a little kid 30 years plus, but that was my last slice there. I told him Ill never set foot in the place again, I bought only 3 slices and I was charged $12.75, almost 13 dollars for what 3 slices? Tony the owner must be going senile like Joe Biden in his old age, charging those prices in the Bronx ghetto pizza shop he has. The pizza is good but its not $4.25 plus tax a slice good. Theres better places to get a slice that are cheaper, Emilios on Morris Park, Louie and Ernies on Crosby and Tommys on Tremont, all just as good if not better than Three Boys and they charge a lot less for there slices and no tax added on either. I recommend no one go here and boycott the shop until the owner puts the prices back at least to $3.50 a slice, or does a special 2 slices for $5. Its the right thing to do for his loyal customers, we deserve it and in todays economy pizza should always be a good cheap food to eat and not leave your wallet empty and cost you $20 bucks on 4 slices like it does here at Three Boys pizza.
