Professional, punctual, and totally reliable. We called upon Tidal for installing our oven and taking care of all associated paperwork with the city. The whole process was smooth and seamless all the way through. Everyone on staff a pleasure to work with. Will definitely use again in future.
I hired Tidal Plumbing for my LL 152 nyc gas inspection. They were on time, fixed the minor issue that my property had so I can pass the inspection. I searched a few different companies before hiring Tidal. There price was in the competitive with others. They are professional from the office staff to the inspectors.
Several Of My Neighbors and I had selected a Plumber to do our 152 gas inspections. The person in charge chose a plumber who was the least expensive. One morning I was walking my dog and a Work van from Tidal plumbing was parked outside and the back of it said “NYC LL 152 inspections” since I knew nothing about this law and only heard about it from neighbors I asked the person that was working out of the truck. He said he does not perform the inspections but his Boss will be here shortly. I met the owner “Sunny” I asked about the inspection and he explained it in detail. His price was double for the inspection than that of the plumber we were already going to use. When I asked him why that was, he again explained in detail why prices from different companies are all over the place. I used Tidal Plumbing but my neighbors still ended up using the cheaper plumber anyway. I’m so happy I did. Some of my neighbors unfortunately had issues and are still dealing with the city to clean them up and I was told it is very expensive. My father was in the construction business many decades ago and always said “never go with the cheapest quote”. Sunny is the Licensed Master Plumber himself and the owner of the company.Thank you Tidal Plumbing for piece of mind!
Tidal Plumbing did local law 152 gas inspection. I never used them before but was pleased that they responded to my call quickly professional and was very punctual. I did not need to wait around for hours for someone to show up. I would call them in the future.
Tidal plumbing did a oil to gas conversion for my house, the work was very intensive, they removed old oil equipment and installed all the new gas pipes and boiler. They went through all the red tape and constant communication with the city and con Edison. The guys were polite and worked clean. The work took 2 days but waiting for inspections took a couple of weeks, this was explained to us before we signed the contract with them. They also gave us a 3 year service maintenance for the new heating boiler at no cost. I am satisfied with them.
My family hired Tidal Plumbing to do the new 152 gas inspection. They did it on 3 buildings. The inspector was very polite and informed us what to upgrade in the near future. Their prices were fair. The office staff were very informative and polite as well. I would hire them again.
I was in the process of buying a new home and the Inspection company found that the gas pipes were illegal. I called several plumbers almost all of them said they do not want to get involved with Con Edison or with city inspectors. Tidal Plumbing was the only one that had all the answers for my questions, they were very familiar with the entre process. Sunny’s office worked with Con Edison and the department of buildings directly. Other plumbers told me I would have to find my own expeditor to do all the paperwork, Tidal provides these services in house. It was a long and expensive process but all I did was write 2 checks and provide access, that is it. These guys truly are a great company. This is my first home and I have found my plumber. I hired this company to do my Local 152 gas inspection for my building, it was a great experience. They were on time for the appointment, explained the entire process, and answered all my questions. I found Tidal Plumbing after a couple of my neighbors used another company that was less expensive but caused them headaches with paperwork and Con Edison. Im glad I found an honest company.
I got the name of Tidal Plumbing & Heating off the Better Business Bureau site for recommendations of local plumbers and was pleased they handled my request promptly & quoted me an accurate price over the phone. I discovered I needed the same repair work of the shut off valves in the kitchen as in the bathroom and they were flexible enough to handle all my plumbing problems professionally in an hour. They were on time which was important as I had to coordinate with the cooperative apartment building workers to shut the water off in the building to complete the repairs. I would recommend them highly for their professionalism, skill and fair price and will cal them again for my plumbing and heating needs in the future.
Sunny and Tidal Plumbing are hands down the most courteous, professional and honest company I have ever dealt with.Con Ed was threatening to shut down my gas line and I called Sunny over to help me. He walked me through all the steps and told me how to work with Con Ed so my line would not get cut off.Turns out Con Ed was able to do the work for me and I did not need Tidal Plumbings services.Once I told Sunny what was done he immediately told me that he did not need to come out to do the work and gave me a full refund of my deposit. Most companies would have either kept all or part of my deposit, or would have come to do the unnecessary work just to collect the rest of the money.I will not hesitate to call on Sunny again if I ever need work done in my home. You dont find many companies that will be as honest as Tidal Plumbing. I highly recommend you to call Sunny and his team if you ever need plumbing work done in your home!
At first we liked this company Because they did a great job installing my boiler. But the last job they did they install a washer dryer drain water set. Employee they sent name (Mark) who was drenched in alcohol smell, As he was talking to me I tried Hold my breath because of the alcohol smell coming out of him, Very unprofessional and then he kept yelling at the guy he was working with for no reason , I observe the guy was just trying to do the Job. Mark was Very unprofessional I hope they never send me the employee again
I called Tidal plumbing for a gas leak needing repair. Sunny and his team are true professionals and a pleasure to work with. Matt did a great job from beginning to end. Worked hard to get the job done with DOB and get our gas up and running with con Ed. Every call we placed was answered by Sunny personally and I knew we were in great hands! We hired Tidal Plumbing after having a horrible experience with two plumbers that lasted 18 months, and were never able to complete the job. We were in a very difficult process to have our gas turned on and needed inspections from the DOB and Con Ed. It took Sonny only two weeks to get our gas turned on!! No issues at all everything was submitted on time and appointments were made and kept quickly. I wish I would have hired him last year it would have avoided us a whole winter with no heat. We are extremely happy and relived this is over thanks to Sonny and Tidal Plumbing.
I hired Tidal Plumbing to do a Local Law 152 gas line inspection for my property in Brooklyn. I live out of state so I thought as usual it was going to be a battle with another contractor, from the office staff to the inspector that showed up it was a seamless expirence. Everything was done over phone and emails, communication was always great. Very professional.
Had a problem with Con Ed shutting off my gas. After calling 3-4 plumbers that wouldnt return my call for this type of job, Sunny from Tidal came to the rescue. He filed the DOB permits for gas turn on upgraded internal lines to code coordinated with Con Ed for a new meter and gas turn on. During the 3 month process Sunny was outstanding to deal with. He updated me frequently and promptly answered all my texts and calls. Sunny proved he is an invaluable resource, I truly recommend him. Give him a call and you wont be disappointed!
We hired Tidal plumbing to repair our shower faucet in our co-op. We contacted other plumbers, but they didnt have a Master plumbers license or proper insurance. Sunny provided us with all of the paperwork for our board. His men came on time and did everything as expected. We appreciated their efficiency especially since its so hard to come by-- will definitely recommend.
Their time is more valuable than your time.I scheduled well in advance 2 weeks out (because theyre busy) for a visit for a big job, installing new gas boiler and gas furnace, and all new plumbing. they never showed up or call to cancel. I called to find out, they say we can have someone soon within the hour, to come by. well waited for another 4 hours. no calls. no nothing. were talking about 15-20K job. go figure. oh well. Tidal, please respect peoples time just as your time is valuable to you. you deserve one star.
My first time using Tidal Plumbing & Heating and I must say it will not be my last. We had an emergency gas leak situation that needed immediate attention and I am glad I decided to go with this company. The quality of service I received from the owner and his employees were unmatched. I appreciate how I was kept informed during the entire process and the efficiency. Holy shoot this place is terrible. They are very unprofessional. This guy sunny claims he’s been in business since year 2000 but on DOB and BBB , they have only been in business since 2018. They claim to know about heating system but they messed up my boiler . Had to come back and fix it and charge me more . Terrible guys terrible work . Don’t believe the positive review on here. I’m pretty sure they sent all there friends to write it to make em look professional. Beware of these scam company
My toilet was rocking badly (actually, it would move from side to side). It turns out the flange below my toilet broke and a new one needed to be welded back on and the toilet replaced. I saw other great reviews from Tidal so I called them. Joanne, the receptionist, was pleasant and efficient. And very knowledgeable. And, best part, they were able to come repair the toilet in a day. The price they gave me was very fair. They also had to go an extra step and submit paperwork to co-op building in order to perform the work. They did this efficiently and timely. The repair itself was quick and they were very neat. I wasn’t in the apartment at the time of the repair(although my super checked in and was pleased with their work), and Sunny called me afterwards to check in and review the invoice. The price was exactly what they quoted me, no surprises at the end of the job like some other contractors. I priced out the repair with a few other companies before I found Tidal, and some were either double the price, or they weren’t able to fit me into their schedule for days out. I feel very lucky and grateful to have found Tidal. My super was so pleased that he said he will refer the rest of the apartment complex to Tidal from now on.
I cant say enough wonderful things about this company, from the owner to the employees! I just wanted my bathroom sink and vanity changed -simple job. After reaching out to several different companies, some which didnt even respond and most wouldnt come out to give me a quote unless I paid an upfront fee of over $100 - Tidal Plumbing made it simple! Free estimate and scheduled the install at a time convenient for me. I was given an HONEST estimate and an HONEST time frame for the work to be done. I would recommend Tidal to any and everyone who asks for plumbing services - simple or complicated/involved job.
National grid locked off my gas. I hired tidal plumbing to get my gas back on. The repairs lasted two days, it was an expensive job but sunnys estimate was more reasonable than other quotes I had gotten. His office staff handled all my paperwork and permits. Overall I am very satisfied.
Sunny and his crew really great did a great job in breaking down the process and doing the work. Before I found Sunny and his company I was dealing with a shotty plumbing contractor that never kept me in the loop, poor workmanship, and later on, I come to find out that they were doing disreputable business dealings. We started working with Sunny way back when before he even started Tidal Plumbing. I have never worked with a smarter, kinder, more reliable and more trustworthy plumber EVER (and Im 61 years old)!! And Ive worked with others who ripped us off and/or never came when they said they would and/or botched the job, etc., etc.Next time you need a plumber DO NOT HESITATE to call Sunny Johal and Tidal Plumbing.
Tidal plumbing company helped us through a bind, we called another company to do the gas inspection and failed then the headache came. Gas was shut off, the other company did everything illegal doing the work before getting permits, took 3 weeks of back and forth blaming other people. We then called Tidal plumbing and total difference, night and day. They did the paperwork and within 3 days, then they were allowed to do the work. Within a week it was resolved. I would totally recommend them since they know what they are doing and legal too. They are priced fairly compared to what we were charged for the other company. I would not hesitate to call them again for anything related to gas
Sonny and his team where exactly what we needed when we were on a real bind. Con Edison had given us a warning, but very short notice before they ultimately turned off the gas at my rental property in the Bronx due to a corroded pipe. Sonny and his team worked quickly and diligently to target the problem area and replace the part of the pipe/gas line that was necessary. In doing so, Sonny and his team was great in explaining to me the process step by step, coordinating with my tenants where necessary, and also coordinating with Con Edison and the city inspectors to schedule and go through the inspections that needed to be done once the work was completed. Sonny and his team showed professionalism and expertise in dealing with Con Edison and the city inspectors. While doing the work his team also was able to address another plumbing issue - running shower faucet that we had in a tenant’s apartment. Overall, Sonny and his team got me out of a real bind. I do not hesitate in recommending his company and they will be the first I call in the future when I have a plumbing issue. Thanks again Sonny!!!
I called TIDAL Plumbing & Heating for a combo boiler/hot water heater repair. They answered the phone professionally, gave me a same day two hour window to examine the problem. They are respectful of time and communicate well with the customer. They arrived, examined the issue and provided prompt professional repairs and got my boiler up and running again, especially with no hot water and heating before weather temperatures are ready to drop. They are professional, respectful, work clean, are friendly and are very reliable. I am very grateful to have found such a reliable plumbing company which gives me peace of mind with this job and any future work that I may need. Dont look elsewhere. Do NOT call this company at all!We called this contractor to take a look at our boiler. We were having an issue with the boiler not sending heat to our radiators. They came, took a look, and determined that there might be a leak underground, as the boiler was not receiving any water.They told us that their supervisor would follow up with us to give an estimate for the repair. We were told that wed hear back from the supervisor either the same afternoon, or the following Monday at the latest. They also took a $195 evaluation fee and left.Monday came and went and I never heard back. I followed up and the receptionist took down my email, and again promised that the supervisor would get back to me with an estimate.Its been more than a month and I havent heard from them since.Perhaps, they make money by only collecting evaluation fees at each house. I would not recommend this company at all.
I made an emergency call recently to Tidal Plumbing for flooding and clogged lines in the lower level of the school I work for. Not only did Sonny come right away with some help, but after working on the waste lines, toilets, urinals, and other lines in the basement for hours, they not only fixed the problem, but also helped me clean up. Ive used Tidal for a few jobs since and would highly recommend them to anyone!
The people at Tidal Plumbing and Heating are highly skilled and efficient in what they do. They are professional and listen to what you have to say to them. They offered us a free three year start-up on our new Water Boiler and included a free CO detector. I would recommend them to a friend.

They are very professional and nice person. They helped me fix the leaking in my bathtub and fixed the gutters that were clogged up with hairs. They charged for very reasonable price. They also have license and insurance if your apartment requests these documents. I highly recommend them!

I used Tidal plumbing for replacing new gas boiler and hot water heater. Matt was very knowledgeable, he and his crews arrived on schedule and went right to work. The way they connected all the pipes looks much better and more neat than before. I also appreciate the company offers a free 3 years boiler maintenance included on the services contract. They cleaned up all debris after the job completed. A big thank you to Matt, his team and also Joann for responsiveness and coordination. Highly recommend them for their services and professionalism.

2021-12-28My experience with Tidal Plumbing has been exceptional. I recently moved into my home and of course everything breaks down. From my initial Maintenance visit to today, Ive come to trust Tidal Plumbing. Matt, Mark & Sonny are extremely knowledgeable, professional, reliable and customer oriented. Matt always takes the time to explain what needs to be done in laymans terms. This level of transparency allows me to fully comprehend and make the best decision. I have a new boiler which was purchased and installed by Tidal Plumbing. The kitchen faucet was leaking into the basement, which required pipes to be replaced & a new faucet. I also got my washer and dryer installed. I am very pleased with the work and pricing from Tidal Plumbing. They are my go to for all my Plumbing needs. I give them five stars, for their integrity to service the customer first.

2022-01-08We have used Tidal for all our home plumbing needs for 20 years. They have replaced the hot water heater and serviced sinks and toilets as needed. A wonderful company! We especially appreciate the quick response to our calls. Phone calls and texts are usually answered within 15-30 minutes and service scheduled for the next day or two. The workers who have come to our home have been polite and have always left the work area clean. Knowing they are licensed and insured is also an important consideration for us. We highly recommend them.

2022-01-27I hired Tidal Plumbing & Heating to have my Gas service with Con Edison restored after being off for 2+ years. The Tidal Plumbing team handled everything from pulling permits, setting up the appointments and repairing anything that needed to be repaired with a very Professional and Courteous manner. They were friendly and easy to work with, especially when scheduling the multiple inspection and line testing appointments that were needed. I would definitely recommend them for any Plumbing work especially Gas related.

2022-07-06Con Edison came to install the new smart meters in my home and they found a leak. They did not fix it but shut off my gas. I called Tidal plumbing first and they gave me a quote which was all of money. I called 3 other plumbers to compare cost because it was a lot of money, and found out Tidal plumbing price was good and they now what they are doing with Con Edison and NYC buildings. I hired Tidal plumbing and my gas was on in 4 days. Sunny’s office did all paperwork and his guys did a great job. His company has 10 people working and they are ready to go all the time.

2021-12-22The staff at Tidal are very professional and personable. They helped to install a new boiler as well as a new radiator. The gentlemen who came to do the work were very friendly and they did a good job. They answered any questions that I had and they explained how to keep up with regular maintenance. If I had any issues they were quick to respond and take care of things. I highly recommend this company and I intend to continue using their services in the future. They’re a great local company!

2022-03-29Great service from Tidal Plumbing. Had gas turned off due to leak at gas meter. Sunny came out right away to give repair estimate and explain steps and procedures with gas company and DOB to get service turn back on after repair. They were very efficient in getting all the permits and inspections lined up to get service turn back on ASAP after repairs were completed. Would definitely recommend them to others.

2021-12-03I’ve been using Tidal Plumbing ever since I purchased a house 5 years ago. A different plumber had been hired during some early renovations to do some work, but he took weeks to get a two or three day job done, and then it was clear that some things were not done correctly. Sewer gas was coming up through the new shower drain (he didn’t bother to put in a P trap!!) and there was a leak at one of the joints that he had installed. And other incorrectly done things. I heard about Sunny and gave him a call. Sunny came in and checked everything. He pointed out what needed to be corrected and/or done further and why, and explained everything clearly. He then made the necessary repairs in one day. I’ve used Tidal Plumbing ever since then to service my boiler in the winter, and to make other plumbing repairs as needed. They are always on time, professional, and personable. And Sunny is just an all-around really good guy who excels at his work. It’s a real relief, as a homeowner, to have an excellent plumber, and know that you can depend on him to get the job done and get it done right. Most recently Sunny has expanded his business and has some other workers on his team. Matt came by this year to service the boiler and he was also very personable, communicative, and professional. If you want plumbing done correctly and by really good people, you can’t go wrong with Tidal Plumbing.

2022-05-02In order to turn on our Gas service, Con Edison required our gas lines to be adjusted and pressure tested before it could be turned on in NYC. This turned turned into quite a drawn out process, but Tidal plumbing was there through the entire process and was available to answer all my calls every time. Im so grateful for their services and I highly recommend them.
