Easily my favorite shop - EVER!During my most recent visit I was helped with selecting a gift for a friend and found a few items for myself. With the help from Tiina and her staff I found items that would work for my unique style. Especially in love with their in-house cashmere collection.Entering into the space is always special and a joy to learn and discover the unique brands that they carry. Tiina has a brilliant eye and each season I love to see her curation.Everything is always exceptional.

I am a huge fan of Tiina The Store! Her Finnish taste is effortlessly casual and chic. She curates the color blue with panache, paying particular attention to makers and the artistry of clothing. Tiina has created a unique place in the world of fashion where things that are made with love and care are recognized and honored. She highlights brands with ethical work practices and creates an atmosphere of ease and relaxation in her store. Dont miss an opportunity to sit on her front porch while you while sip your tea on a sun filled afternoon.

Tiina the Store is the finest there is. I’ve been to boutiques in NYC, London, Japan to Paris and nothing compares to this gem in little Amagansett. Tiina Laakkonen has curated more than just a store – it’s a museum and gallery type environment – an education in craftsmanship, detail, artisans, makers, design, art and fashion.When I visited with a long list of gifts needed for the holidays. Tiina took her time to review the list. She asked loads of questions about the people on the list. She worked with me on finding the perfect fit for all of them.The assistance I have received has been magical from Tiina and her staff truly exceptional whether it be me visiting in person, purchasing online or communicating remotely with TTS staff.

Yesterday I was waiting for my order to be filled at Organic Krush and thought to check out some neighboring shops to kill time. TIINA The STORE was just across the street and looked intriguing, some gold decorations glittering in the window caught my eye.I was greeted within moments of walking in by two young women who let me know that they would be happy to help if I had any questions. I floated about the shop without any lingering feeling of pressure or hovering. Ive been to other high end stores where sales associates bombard you and have a pushy demeanor. However, this was very comfortable. When I was spoken to, I felt the women really cared about the conversation they held with me.I was taught about a Japanese Craft and a very cool brand for men called Arpenteur. They offered for me to try on a new jacket that had just arrived and I felt like I was being included in something special. I wasn’t familiar with too many of the brands they stocked but I can tell there is something very unique about what the store carries and how its presented. I didn’t purchase anything but when I have time to commit to holiday shopping, Ill definitely be returning for some special pieces. Everyone was beyond kind and super knowledgable - really fun experience!

Unbelievable clothing, unbelievable experience — Tiina Laakkonen is living history; her curation is impeccable. No other store carries these brands: Zanini, Dosa, Ecole de Curiosities, the Elder Statesmen. Also, I absolutely love my Tiina the Store oversized cashmere sweater. Its 100% my winter staple every year!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE! They have an incredibly restrictive return policy with NO exceptions! I purchased a pair of jeans online paying full price ($340). I was traveling when they arrived, and so by the time I tried them on and found that they didnt fit, I was outside of the stores 7-day return window which is well below industry standard (30 days). I made multiple attempts to contact the store and see about even getting store credit, but was flatly refused. When I pay this kind of money for an article of clothing, I expect customer service and consideration, and I received neither.

Disappointing experience. Rude owner (maybe homophobic). Disregarded a paying customer when she thought she was going to make a bigger sale. The customer who she turned her attention to had to step in and awkwardly ask do you want to finish ringing her up?The items are beautiful and the store well curated but the owner could use some better manners.
