We were visiting from out of town when I hit a pothole and blew a tire. We called a few other places first but none of them would work on our problem for days. Tire Choice fixed our tire immediately. Thanks to Joe & Jason, who saved our day and also tried to save us money.
Without calling I dropped my car off one evening so it could have an oil change the next day (Leave it for the day) . The manager said he could get the car right in while I wait and not have to come back (and get a ride) the next day. My only regret is that I did not get his name. The service was done quickly and with care. Thank you.
I had a simple task to ask: install winter set that was purchased from Tirerack. Two major issues happened: (1) installation was done incorrectly, (2) shop attempted to charge me $96, claiming that tirerack requires this amount. It was not trueAlso, they are not recommended by Tirerack despite their claims Beware! And find another tire shop
I had them put a trailer hitch on my 2019 Pathfinder. I was told 5 of the 6 bolts went in and that the last, the hole did not line up so the hold needed to be redrilled with a two and dye to work. They said they had the tool at their Greece location and could get it or I could take the vehicle myself and do it. I did not have the relay for the the plug so I took the vehicle and was going to wait until I got the final part for them to complete the job. I called today and they said they couldnt drill out the new hole and that it was rusted that is why they had the issue and I was responsible for fixing it even though they stripped out the bolt.
I had a tire pop late in the day and needed a new one fast as I would be doing a lot of driving over the next few days. I stopped at another shop that sold me a tire but told me that they wouldnt be able to put it on since my car smelled like gas. I dont know anything about cars so I panicked and tried to find anyone open who could help me. The kind gentlemen at this shop quickly jacked up my car and got it on for me. Stress relieved.
Left my newly purchased mini Cooper, which I had just had pass inspection, for an oil change. Got it back with a primer scratch along the driver door and when I asked to file a complaint, I was met with a special kind of rudeness. Then I got a call back from the travellers insurance, who were amazing, and they notified me my vehicle was severely leaking oil. To think of the damage possibly done to my engine because of the neglect of Tire Choice Auto Service, never mind the inconvenience. 10/10 would not recommend unless you want a simple oil change to potentially ruin your vehicle.
I left work Tuesday night , snowy and extremely cold, felt something didnt feel quite right. After driving a short distance realized flat tire. Crawled to Tire choice on Monroe Ave. An amazing human being named JAKOB took me in. He was alone, one guy was doing deliveries, another guy out sick, etc, he was doing it ALL. 45min left till close, he had to get people coming in to pick up their cars out and answer the phone ringing off the hook. HE PUT A NEW TIRE ON MY CAR TOO AND DID IT WITH A SMILE. His kindness will not be forgotten. I mentioned I may be back for 3 more tires. So this guy Jakob, gets home and texts his boss Andrew the whole scenario, like his day wasnt long enough. I call the next day, boss ANDREW is working. He knows the whole scenario. He fits me in for the next 3 tires ( they were booked, but I didnt feel safe to drive on the old tires). Andrew showed the text to me still on his phone. First of all, what a great team ! Secondly, AMAZING SERVICE with an AMAZING STAFF. THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS, THOROUGHNESS, and COMPASSION.
I count on this particular Monro Muffler to give me reliable service at fair prices. Their attention to customer service is outstanding, they repair my vehicle quickly and expertly, and I never feel like Im being gouged or super-sized. Ive recommended them many times, and have always received excellent reports back from those Ive recommended them to. Thank you, in particular, to Joe, Zach, and Brent for being attentive and honest!
If you have a VW I would not recommend going here. I went to get an oil change and when they gave me my car back the check engine light was on and flashing. There was nothing wrong with my car before I gave it to them. My car was stalling out and sputtering when I left. I called them and they said to just take it to the dealership and they didn’t know why it was doing it. I took my car to the dealership and it turns out they put the wrong oil filter in my car and the guy at the dealership said there was oil leaking everywhere and I was lucky that there wasn’t any permanent engine damage. Just want to give anyone with a VW a heads up before going here.
Brought my car in to get pricing on what it needed. They gave it a Thorough inspection and told me they didnt recommend fixing it, but instead that I get a new car. It felt very honest, although a bit over dramatic. I got lucky and was able to fix the biggest issue with some gasket seal. Plus I dont mind working on the car myself. They didnt charge me a dime for looking the car over. At my old garage theyd have charged me 250 for what Monro did for free.Anyway, great place and the manager Zach is on his game. I highly recommend going here for some fair and honest car repairs.
Joe La Londe,I am writing you to let you know just how grateful I am for your sense of urgency in helping me out of another jam and fixing my flat tire on Friday.I feel fortunate to have found an auto repair shop that I feel I can trust with my repairs, no matter how big or small. I have been bringing my cars to your store for well over 10 years and as a result of your outstanding customer service I have become a “Customer for Life”. Your staff, (Roger, Tony and Zach) is always very professional and an absolute joy to work with. You and your team have consistently kept me informed throughout the process of any repair and always test my cars to make sure everything is working properly before returning them to me. You professionally represent Monro Muffler Brake & Service as a company that provides high quality auto repairs with integrity, honesty, and excellent customer service at a fair price and with a personal touch. As usual, I highly recommend your services to my friends and neighbors, and let them know that I have never had a bad experience with you and your folks. You have always stood behind your work. Over the years, my friends have consistently reported back to me that you treated them just as well. Thank you again for the great service you are providing!
I stumbled on this place a few years ago and the service here is great! They are always very friendly, quick, and reliable. The minute I walk in the door I am greeted with a smile and Joe in particular always remembers me. If you are not completely satisfied with your service, they will make it right. Theyre informative with any recommendations for other fixes on your car, but never pushy. I refer all of my friends and family here and will continue to do so!
If you go to the old Monroe (Muffler) in Pittsford, now with a big sign for Tire Choice Auto Service Center, it is in fact still a Monroe store. The store Manager Jim (James Brown) will take great care of you and your automobile. I highly recommend him. It is the same as it has always been, just a different name on the building (which was a pretty crazy thing to do without putting a Monroe sign up too, a marketing 101 failure) and Jim is excellent to work with. I wasnt planning on buying my 4 new tires there and I am glad I did. Glad they have a guy in there like him running the store.
I have still not yet been appropriately refunded my money from them after they couldnt fix my problem. I had to come here 5 times to have them try to fix a sensor for my tire. I asked for my money back because I wasnt coming back a sixth time to have the sensor looked at again. One of the workers there Zack said I would be refunded my money within 7 to 10 business days. Still have yet to see it. I will never come here again. Very disappointed. Will probably have to go down there again to the shop to even get my money back. I called today after 10 business days and they said they would give me a call back about the money situation and never did. I always came here for oil changes and had such good service each time. This was definitely the worst experience I have had with an auto shop. They need to be more appropriate on calling their customers in a timely fashion if the situation is not simple. Even just to say....hey I ordered the part today, I am looking at the part tomorrow, what time will you be available this week for an appointment? I think its appropriate for customers get a call within the very next business day just to say what is going on. I did at other auto body shops when I had a couple complicated things go on with my Honda civic. Its sad because I think these guys are good guys but after this service I felt like I was just pushed to the back burner and it makes me never want to go here again for anymore services on my car.
From the first moment I spoke with Jim at 7:45 AM, I knew I had chosen the right place for my minor automotive repairs. Jim was pleasant, courteous, and accommodating in getting my son’s car in for service on very short notice. My son is a college student at Nazareth College and Jim arranged his appointment around college classes with no problems. His professionalism was very much appreciated. I would recommend this facility to anyone for their car repair needs.
20/10 stars! Jim Brown, the new manager of the shop, took excellent care of my son and I today. We were in for a college visit from Ohio and on went our car engine light. He got us in immediately, his team called within 30 minutes with a diagnosis and fixed the car by the time the college visit was over. Do not look any further for your car care! Made it home safe and sound! Cannot thank you enough Jim!
Joe and his crew are excellent! They stayed past closing time to get my car work completed!! I really appreciate how Joe takes the time to explain the work required and the work that will be coming up but not necessary at this time. The customer service is excellent and keeps me coming back!!
Have used Monro Auto Service quite a few times lately, from simple things like TPMS resets, state testing, to power steering rack replacements and every single time Jim and crew have been professional, accommodating, and overall pleasure to work with.I highly recommend them!
I have five cars in my family and have them all serviced at this particular Monro location because the manager - Joe- has been really great in providing excellent service. Joe goes out of his way to clearly explain what work needs to be done on my cars along with best affordable options. For many years Ive observed how his staff works hard to accommodate customers. For those looking for reliable auto service try Monro Muffler next to the Monroe avenue Wegmans
My visit here was one of the best customer service experiences Ive ever had! Jim and Jake were both extremely helpful, kind, and went out of their way on a busy night to fix my breaks. After some bad experiences with other auto service locations in Rochester, I am so happy to have found this place. I will never go anywhere else!
Update 5/4/19: Joe personally came over this morning and applied an industrial cleaner to the stains. Amazingly, the stains are gone! He also apologized for the time it took to remedy the situation and explained he had a personal issue, which I totally understand now. Everyone makes mistakes, but Joe and his crew at Monro are a shining example of owning up to it and making it right. Ill be telling this story to friends and family, and I am now a lifelong customer. Excellent customer service that is exceedingly rare today! Ive changed my original 2 star rating to 5 stars to reflect the great service.Original Review 5/2/19:Dropped off my Honda Civic on 3/24/19 for an oil change. Picked the car up same day and when I got home, noticed the maintenance light was still on. No big deal. I called Monro and they walked me through resetting the maintenance indicator. This was the first time its ever happen, but I didnt think much of it.Fast forward a couple days later. Noticed oil stains on our driveway and it was clear it was coming from the Civic. Called Monro and spoke to Joe, the manager. He had us bring it in. After putting it up on the lift, they saw there was a crack on the oil pan due to overtightening the drain plug or something. I salute them for immediately identifying and owning up to the mistake. Joe told us they would replace the oil pan free of charge, but it would require the entire day. It was a bit inconvenient, but mistakes happen and at least they were working towards resolution. In the meantime, I concentrated my efforts on cleaning up the oil stains on our relatively new driveway. I googled various methods for removing stains and have not been satisfied with any of the results. I called Joe and explained the situation. He pledged to get it cleaned up. Ive followed up with numerous phone calls. Its May 2nd (almost 6 weeks later), and still no one has come. At this point, the stain looks so baked into the driveway, I would be amazed if they could get it out. I will update or post a new review if or when their mistake is fully re-mediated.
Rarely, if ever, do I take the time to applaud fair, good service but, I think it right and fitting to do so now. I have been a customer of the Pittsford Monro shop for a few years now. They have done inspections, oil changes, tire work, brake work, muffler work and more for our familys cars - two Mercedes and one Subaru Forester. I have yet to have anything, whatsoever, to complain about in my business dealings with them - that is quite rare in my past experience with auto service and repair shops. When I make an appointment to have work done on my car - they are anticipating my arrival. When I am at the shop, my vehicle is looked after promptly - I do not have to wait an interminably long, agonizing time for the work to be done. They obviously know what they are doing. The store manager, Joe La Londe has been particularly helpful and knowledgeable and, he is always smiling - a big plus in my book. Why is my check engine light on? We are heading up to the Adirondacks tomorrow. Can you look at the muffler? - All requests are done with alacrity by Joe and his crew. Two thumbs up from here - I, without reservation, recommend this Monro shop.
Joe and the staff are very friendly. I had an old car that failed an inspection. After they told me what needed to be fixed to pass he also advised me of what could be done to prevent further issues, but did not lie about it being mandatory. Its nice to know there are businesses that will try to help without trying to take advantage of my lack of knowledge. Prices are fair and service was speedy. I would recommend going here.
Excellent customer service from Jo Lalonde and the Assistant Mgr. Zachary- what a great team ! They were attentive to my needs and took me right in without an appointment! They took me in and gave me a realistic timeframe for when my vehicle would be ready. The customer service didn’t end with me -everyone during my time there was treated with the kindest courtesy every.I’ll be back for sure!
Save your money! Last year we were happy with this team because they replaced a rear shock on very short notice and seemed to do a good job. This year, not so much. The second rear shock needed replacing recently and they told us they should have done both at once last year. The new one was not installed properly, resulting in a constant rattle and the year-old shock breaking. While they were replacing the 1st shock again and fixing the rattle, they noticed we needed new rear brakes ASAP. Had those done, but just found out today in a routine check that Monro didnt service the calipers when they did the brakes and the rear brakes have not been working since then. Spent a ton of money at Monro and now more money to fix their terrible work. AND they left off one of our locking lug nuts. Never told us and didnt even replace it with a regular lug. Stay far, far away!
We have been loyal customers of Monro Muffler for over ten years. Joe La Londe and his team have helped us many times with emergency work as well as routine maintenance. Everyone has always been upfront about what needs immediate attention, and what can be put off to a later time. They take the time to show us the problems and present possible solutions. We are very grateful for their honesty and expertise, and trust them to take care of our vehicles.
Monroe Muffler in Pittsford always treats me well. I take my vehicles there for everything from normal maintenance to emergency repairs. Recently I had a flat tire and they repaired it quickly so I could still make a scheduled work meeting. Several times I have witnessed Joe and his staff go above and beyond to help customers out.
Quick, honest, professional service! Ive had several great experiences with this branch in the past, when I lived in Rochester. This time Im visiting family, and they went the extra mile to help me at closing time on a Saturday night! The manager was very kind to fit me in at the last minute! Many thanks!
We have been going to Joe Lalonde at this Monro Muffler since we moved to Brighton about 15 years ago. Weve always had older cars and the out of the ordinary problems that come with them. Joe has always diagnosed and fixed the problem in a timely, thorough, and economically fair way. With our fleet of family cars we always seem to have one being worked on. I feel like Joe and his team always have our back. Wouldnt go anywhere else.
I called a day before to schedule my appointment for NYS inspection with a gentleman named Brent. Appointment was set for 9AM 9.13.16. I showed up on time. The place was extremely busy with happy customers. The front desk guys were very friendly. Even how busy they were, my car was in the shop at 9:05AM. I love a place where when you schedule an appointment, and thats when they start the services. Car was done in less then 20 minutes. Im new to town and will be taking all my vehicles to this location. Brent was excellent and someone needs to give this man a raise.
Monroe Muffler has the greatest service men, the best in customer service of all the Monroe Mufflers location I have ever been to and I have been to a lot, this location has the most knowledgeable service men who are honest, reliable, hard working, trustworthy and does excellent repairs. This is a place everyone is truly welcomed. It does not matter the color of your skin this service team makes you feel like family.
On Mothers Day drove to Rochester to bring my daughter back home from collegeWhen we got there her car was not running well, so went to monro muffler for a quick check to see if they could help me out. When I got there I explained my situation to Joseph what was going onHe took me in right away looked at car, fixed a few thinks and I was back on the road within an hour.We made back home with my daughter carJoe was very professional and understood my situation and did what he had to do to get me back on the road. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and when my daughter return to Rochester she will be using this place for car repairs .Thanks Joe and Crew
These guys are the best. They have kept my very old, high mileage vehicle on the road for many more years than anyone could have expected. They are always considerate of my time and budget, give me rides home and once even came and jump started my car when I broke down down the street from them. Highly recommended.
Brought my car here for an oil change, which was done by the manager. He forgot to put oil back in my car, so I drove to and from work and home the next day with less than a quart of sludge and thats it. My boyfriend noticed and I called right away. I was told they would refund for the oil we had to buy ourselves to put in. When I brought my car back they looked at it and said there was a crack in my filter which caused it to leak, a blatant lie. The dipstick was completely dry, oil had never been put in. Then my boyfriend called and this staff member also lied to him on the phone, and swore at him. We filed a claim with corporate, have heard nothing back. I was never refunded the cost of the oil change, and I will not go back to that store with my receipt for the oil. Wish corporate had helped. Myself and my family will never use Monro muffler again. Please save yourself the trouble and pay more to go to a decent garage.
I am very dissatisfied with my services at Monroe Muffler located on Monroe Avenue in Pittsford. NY 14534. I made an appointment 3 different times and the manager never called me to confirm. So I stopped in and they magically had an appointment and said their computers were not working. I needed an oil change and for someone to check my electrical adapter (where you pluck your car charger in). I had a coupon for 19.99 oil change and free wiper blades. The manager did not change my wiper blades. They said they checked the fuses and saw that all of the fuses were working just fine, and told me to go see the dealership. I took my car to a different auto shop and they said my fuse to the plug was broken. They looked under the hood and replaced it, and it saw the entire thing happen. I then plugged my cellphone in and the adapted worked perfectly fine. I called the Monroe Muffler which I went to and they said, they checked the fuses they worked just fine and they replaced them. That is funny, he said that because why didnt the adapter work after he replaced it? He then started to argue with me and say that he replaced all of the fuses, and then asked which fuse I was actually talking about. I do not believe this Monroe Muffler ever checked my adapted or the fuse. They did a lousy job, and I will never do service with any Monroe Muffler again. When I bring my car in for any type of service I expect the honest truth and for your employees to have integrity. I did not receive either of those things. Monroe Muffler is a terrible place to take your car. I will make sure my friends, family, and coworkers never take their cars to another Monroe Muffler again.
This is the most expensive car shop i ever visited. Not to say whole story here, in short, I was asked to pay service on 11 years old car exhaust system (converter on outlander 2008) $2555. I understood around $250 initially . Once i saw bill I asked them to return old parts back and i will pay their labor as for me make no sense to invest that money on old car. They claimed they cant put parts back and offered to keep new muffler and patch one hole. The charge was $750 which i have to accept, no other options. I found later muffler cost less than $300 original part (charge was over $600 for muffler). Went to another mechanic to inspect what they did, one hole was patched and no hangers installed. I am sorry cant give any positive feedback about this team. Thought to share it here as someone may found it learn by others mistake and look for honesty an quality.
This place is the best! They constantly treat me with the highest respect, and will go out of their way to make sure I get what I need done! They always give me honest answers and will tell me what I need, not what they think I should get. Joe and his crew have treated me much like family over the last five years. They are hands down, the only folks I will go to for car work!
It was an absolute pleasure to do business with this store. I was treated very well and it made the experience of having a flat tire very tolerable. They did not try to oversell me and it was a very pleasant experience.I will always recommend them when approached for a referral.
We have been taking our vehicles to Monro in Pittsford for the past few years and have been Extremely happy with the service and advice that we have received. We had some less than ideal experiences from other places and when we found the Pittsford Monro ..... we could not be happier. Trustworthy, cordial, honest, and personable are the traits that I value most in a service provider and dealing with Joe Lalonde has been terrific in every way. In fact, we just dont take our vehicles anywhere else. Highly recommended.
I took my Scion here to find out why the engine light was on. Joe said the cost for the check was $90, which seemed high, but I said OK. They diagnosed the problem right-the O2 sensor needed replacing-and gave me a price of $450. I decided to get another opinion and took it to Advent Auto in Farmington. They also said it was the sensor, They replaced the sensor, rotated my tires, did an oil change for $239 including tax. When I told Joe at Monroe I wasnt going to do the repair, they then charged me $100, instead of the $90 they originally quoted.Monroe is publicly traded, so they obviously have monthly quotas they have to meet and do this at the customers expense. Dont go there.
I called at 4:30 PM because my car was making an awful scraping sound in the front wheel area which I thought was my caliper or brake pad, and Joe said to bring it right over. I got there and he took my car right in. He told me that it was only a rusted shield and that he was able to take care of it right then. Truly incredible customer service! I will be back!
Dont trust this place! I have one personal experience of them telling me I needed something that Im fairly certain I didnt need and then just heard another story yesterday of someone being told he needed 4 new tires because of a nail in on of them. The short story is there was no nail! He is visibly handicapped, so I guess they figured he wouldnt be able to take a close look and had to trust them. Fortunately, the $1000 bill they wanted to charge was enough for him to go elsewhere and find out the truth. Even if you know what you need to get done and wont fall for something like that, I wouldnt want to do business with a place that would take advantage of others.
Came in for a state inspection. They notified me of a brake issue that I should take up with the manufacturer. It didnt impact the inspection, so they could have just passed the vehicle and kept it moving but proactively let me know about it when they didnt even stand to make money for additional work. In an industry where fear of upselling and distrust runs rampant among consumers, these guys have earned my trust.
This place is a scam, stay far, far away! My car had a check engine light on. They read the error code with a code reader and determined that I needed a new O2 sensor. The cost? $450+tax?!!! Yes, you read that right, $450 for plugging in a single oxygen sensor. I decided to fix this myself and had to pay them $110 for the diagnosis. You can buy a code reader for $50?!!!! I ended up buying the sensor for $90 on Amazon. Removing the old senor and plugging in the new one took me about 15 minutes. I had never worked on cars before.
I scheduled an vehicle inspection for 6:00pm. I show up and was informed the person who does the inspections went home. So what’s the point of setting up the appointment? I decided to give this place another try after the last time was subpar. I didn’t even get an apology or an opportunity to set something up for the following day.
Went to get my tires changed and the man at the desk completely ignored the fact that I had requested a specific set of tires well in advance. When I explained to him that I didnt want the tires he was pushing for the 3rd time, he tried to tell me that the tires Id ordered werent in shop and that theyd have to send someone out to get them from another location. He claimed this would take quite some time to do, clearly trying to pressure me into getting the tires he wanted to sell me. I told him Id wait, and lo and behold, I could see the person he sent out grabbing the tires Id requested from inside the shop.It is not ok to try to upsell me like that, nor is it ok to be so rude.
I cant believe how fast and easy getting my vehicle repaired was. Joe and Tony made sure I knew what was happening and what I was paying for. Tony even took the time to explain the issues in detail and didnt treat me like I couldnt understand. Thanks to Monro, my family and I are back on the road and SAFE! Thank you!
JOE ROCKS! A sudden loud noise when I was driving down French Rd. led me to pull over and discover that the bolt connecting the metal strap holding up the muffler had broken and fallen off, causing my muffler and tail pipe to drag on the road. Crawling under the car, I managed to use a bungee cord to sling it up off the road and drove the short distance to Monroe Muffler on Monroe Ave. It was 6:10pm - 10 minutes after closing, the day before Easter Sunday. There was still an employee in the office so I asked for help and he sent a gentleman named Joe out to look at my car. Joe crawled under the car to assess the situation, and after about 20 minutes had a new bolt in place making it a permanent fix. No charge, no tip accepted - just a “pay it forward” and a smile. Thank you, Joe! And Happy Easter!
Absolutely horrible place. I made an appointment and dropped off the vehicle, needing to have the exhaust issue resolved and the transmission fluid flushed before I left town that coming weekend (1 day away). Several hours passed without hearing anything from them. I went back near closing time figuring they had just not gotten to it. When I got there, the mechanic was just taking the vehicle down from the lift. I went in and asked where they were at.The manager was gone for the day and a couple flunkies were running the desk. They told me there was no way they could change the transmission oil without proof that I had indeed changed it the first time at 60K as I had stated at appointment time. First off, why didnt they ask me then because I could have brought them the receipt from Hoselton proving it, now it was too late to get it done. Second, why didnt they call me if they realized it was an issue so I could again, provide proof. To make matters worse, they then tried to tell me that I needed an entire new exhaust system at a tune of thousands of of dollars. Now this truck does have 3 catalytics and would cost a lot of money if all of it had to be replaced. However, from the 3rd catalytic back the system had been replaced just a year before, but they insisted it needed to be replaced again. On top of that, I knew the front 2 manifold pipes did not need to be replaced, just the middle one with the 3rd catalytic. It had a rust hole at the V weld.Furiously, I told them to forget it and I gave them a piece of my mind about how they had managed the day, how they had obviously just gotten my vehicle up minutes before closing and were now giving me sloppy, inaccurate and maybe even fraudulent information. They just stood there and gave me the arrogant we mechanic, you stupid car owner. Except one thing. This stupid car owner is an ex-Toyota and Ford service tech and ASM. I know my cars, I knew about what it needed ahead of time and their mushy statements gave me no confidence they had found anything else amiss.Sure enough, I had another shop do the work after specifically standing under the vehicle with them and talking about what really had to be done. The verdict? One $350 pipe with catalytic in the middle plus labor, not thousands. Oh, and my word that the transmission had been done before was good enough for them, I signed a 2 sentence statement to that fact. But all this work had to be done AFTER I took my trip and listened to the muffler the whole way.So believe these other lousy reviews for Monroe Muffler and in particular, this location in Pittsford. It seems to be poorly run and staffed by know it all parts replacers that take the easiest and most expensive route. Replace it all! I advise you to always make the time to stand under the vehicle with them and have them SHOW you what they say is wrong and if it doesnt look and sound right, take it elsewhere. These peeps are borderline ethically, more likely just incompetent but seriously, if youre that sloppy, dont make the consumers wallet pay for your poor abilities, tell them the truth. In this case I should have been called way before and told that my vehicle was not going to get repaired that day the minute they knew it and considering it needed a couple few hours of work, they knew it. Whats more, they should have simply said they didnt get to it and could I leave it overnight and they would look at it thoroughly in the morning...and by the way could you bring us proof that the trans fluid was changed at 60K (which was an excuse on their part anyway obviously). Instead, the slammed it onto the lift 15 minutes before closing and gave a shoddy diagnosis and excuses...and thats being charitable. The attitude of these guys was far more nefarious in nature.Really, go elsewhere.
This place is incredible. Joe was very nice and honest from the beginning. He help me out because he knew I was out of town and needed something urgently even on a Sunday. He was very straightforward with what I needed very honest and I will definitely be going back there for any further issues.
Ive had a great relationship with my local MMuffler for years, great quality people, sincere, trustworthy, my go-to place for all my car needs.Took my Ford Escape to this location to be looked at for some Air Conditioning problems it was experiencing. I was referred to this MMuffler as it is the only one in town with an AC Diagnostic machine. Took it in hoping for the best basing it off my relationship with my local MMuffler. Was told the AC was leaking from the condensor. new parts (condenser, blower) with 5 hours of install for a total quote of ~$900. Never shown the leak and ppl I spoke with on and off just gave me the run around, never a straight answer, always different. I politely declined their service.Had the vehicle taken to a reliable mechanic out of town who hooked it up, charge held with no leak. No new condenser was needed, replaced the blower. All in all with the diagnostics testing, charge, and new part ... $130 ... with less than 2 hours work.People who dont know anything or no very little about auto work place their trust in these supposed professionals. Overpriced parts, double the amount of service time, and lieing about the issue. They should be ashamed that they abuse the unknowing general public the way they do.DO NOT GO HERE!!!
These are the people who give mechanics a bad name. They reek of mendacity. I took the car in for its annual inspection in June 2013. It failed because the tires had inadequate tread. New tires on offer for significantly more than competitors prices and oh, by the way, We took your inspection sticker off because were allowed to do that. But wait: You installed these 80,000 mile premium tires 2 years, 30,000 miles ago. Do you stand behind your product? Answer: If you jump through some impossible hoops the manufacturer might (or might not) give you a partial rebate.
Review on behalf of Joe LaLonde.Brought 2008 HHR LT into shop on 6/10/18 for inspection, to have it pass safety but fail due to evap leak. Joe fixed the issue free of charge while attending to other customers needs without neglect. Told to bring it back the following day to ensure the fix is real, did so on 6/11/18 and passed the inspection with flying colors. Instead of charging a ridiculous amount for an replacement I didnt need, Joe fixed the problem so that I could get on with my life without issue. As a just-graduated college student, Joe expressed a desire to help recognizing this and for it I am grateful. If youre looking for a car shop that doesnt take advantage, this seems to be one of the few left. Five stars.
These guys are total scam artists. I took a car in to get a state inspection. They failed it due to a brake issue, and told me I needed $700 worth of brake pads, rotors, and calipers for it to pass. I left and immediately took the car to a mechanic friend of mine - not only did he find no evidence that the caliper was busted as Monro said, but he also said the rotors looked brand new - no WAY they needed to be replaced. The only thing it needed were brake pads - definitely not a $700 repair.Lesson learned - never, ever take a car to Monro!
Joe makes coming to monro feel like a neighborhood place; he knows his customers, always goes out of his way to accommodate requests, and somehow manages to juggle phone calls, checking people out, and interacting with his employees without missing a beat! . He’s an incredible face for the company!
I love this location, Joe has been the manager for as long as I can remember and always provides the best service. In the past I’ve made the mistake of going to other places out of convenience and that has always proven to be a bad decision. I won’t make that mistake again. This location has earned my business for life.
Had spark plugs replaced. A week later the car was misfiring while accelerating. Since I had brand new spark plugs, I figured something else was wrong so I took it to a Saab dealer who looked at the fault codes and informed me that my brand new spark plugs (installed by the Monro schlock shop) were misfiring. Turns out one of the insulator was cracked so I had the Saab dealer put in another set of plugs. When I went back to Monro to get reimbursed for the faulty plugs and labor, the very rude regional manager for Monro refused, saying I had no proof that they had not done the work properly. Last time I trust my car to the clowns at Monro.

2022-05-22Dale was a very knowledgeable and courteous employee. He took the time to explain all my options and was transparent about cost and time. He even found a promotional discount and saved me a few dollars. Had to pick up my vehicle next day and they called to assure me it was locked up inside the building. Next day Dale was off but worked with Joe. He took the time to explain to me all they did to the vehicle and gave me suggestions to extend the life of my brakes system. Both Dale and Joe were friendly and personable. I would recommend this Tire Choice Auto to others.

2022-02-27I got a flat tire on a Sunday afternoon and Joe was so helpful in getting us in quickly and efficiently to get my tire off as well as giving us options of new tires to put on! He also gave us a great deal with new lug nuts and tire insurance. Very friendly and super helpful in identifying possible issues that could come up with my car. 10/10 recommend coming in and seeing Joe and Jerek!

2022-02-06I had my car inspected here, and while getting an inspection is pretty standard, I felt Joe and his customer service skills were well beyond the standard. In my observation (as an untrained eye), the mechanics were working efficiently and had a good attitude. But Joe was fantastic from his friendly demeanor and knowledge. He kept me updated on my cars status and made sure everyone knew the wifi password and could watch the TV. While these may seem like minor things, It is nice to know that he cares about guest experience. Joe also never made me feel like an idiot for asking rather basic questions about car maintenance or what different parts do.5/5, would return!

2022-06-27Wow! I am super impressed with the professionalism and kindness that I experienced today. Joe greeted me so nicely and was able to squeeze in my work. Jerrick took it for a spin and immediately figured out what was making the scraping noise. They literally had it fixed in under 15 minutes! These guys are auto superheroes!! Thank you!

2022-05-23They are fine here for ONLY oil changes.Otherwise, it really is not good to go here for larger issues with your vehicle. My car is a 2011 silver Scion xD. (Scion is made by Toyota).I went here to save money last fall, so starting in October 2021, when my muffler was quite loud. They told me I needed it replaced, and then they told me I needed to replace the entire braking system. This included the brakes and all other related parts. The problem was that they did not have the Toyota parts for my specific vehicle to put in there. So they put in generic brakes and parts. They also did not put them in correctly as they are not certified Toyota technicians. So I learned the hard way to go to the dealer with big car issues.I ended up spending thousands of dollars in total to properly fix my brakes.I ended up having my local Toyota dealer remove the brakes and parts Tire Choice Auto Services had put in, and then having Toyota put in the correct brakes and parts for my car. There were bad noises coming from my car, as well as brake issues for the past 6 months. So I had to address the root issue.
