Walked in because I broke my windshield wiper level. Jeep couldn’t get me in for a month. My windshield wipers wouldn’t turn off and I was losing my mind. Walked into mavis and they saw the stress, fixed it really fast(because it was a two minute fix) and didn’t charge me for the minor inconvenience. Will definitely be bringing my business here from now on. God bless !
Painful, went in to get one tire replaced, ended up needing the other three. Ugh. But I knew it was past time to replace them and I was preparing; the time just came sooner. It cost a little more from the last time I had them changed (2015). Other than that, the service was great.
Terrible place. First they tell you the wait will be 30 min to 1 hour if you bring the car in, then 3 hrs go by and you take your keys and leave. Also the restroom is in the tiny waiting area, so when the manager that is lying to you takes a dump, you get to enjoy it with all 5 senses. I will never return. I have no idea how this place has even one positive review.
Today I had a problem with a tire on my wife’s Mersedes. Thanks to Greg,Dominick, Jersey And Brianna I couldn’t have had a better experience.once the car was on the life they made me aware that my rear breaks and router were do to be replaces so I did.after being in Sales for 40 years i know all about CSI - Customer Satisfaction and they all got an A+what a great experience from you team.Thanks so much👌Jimmy G
Do yourself a favor and buy OEM brake pads that I learned from experience. What they give you here will work but it’s just not the same quality and more prone to squeaks and wearing out sooner. This is a big chain that will always try to upswell you. Changing pads on most cars is as easy as watching a YouTube video. They offer a lifetime warranty on brake pads for a reason because it gets you to come back and they will charge you $100 on main stream cars just to put front pads in which is slightly more than my local mechanic charges$80. Bottom line buy OEM pads online or at the dealer put them in yourself or ask a local guy. My OEM brake pads lasted 70,000 miles but brakes from mavis lasted half that and started to squeak 6 months after being put in.
Got an engine oil change, tires rotation...…. After a few months, when I checked the dipstick, the oil level was one inch above the max level, Mavis mechanic either added too much oil or didnt drain the old oil and never checked the dipstick. The lug nuts were overtired, when I took off wheels, 3 lugs and a stud were damaged. Horrible service!
This is unbelievable. I made a appointment for wheel alignment & state inspection. There is no point to have appointment (verified by the personnel at front desk). I was kept 4.5 hours (luckily there is a mall next to it). Shop was closed but me and one other unlucky folk were still kept waited. I am very disappointed because it’s a chain corporate... no way to come back and no suggestions to any of my costumers as I’m in car industry...Meanwhile, my car was taken and state inspection sticker was attached in 5mins. It’s a kind of visual inspection. Safety really matters.Please do not answer to my review by copying and pasting as usually you guys do. I have already spoken to your costumer service while waiting at your shop.
They sold me a full set of tires, I have hardly driven on then and it has been less than a month yet somehow one of them has a golf ball sized bubble in it. I didnt bother getting a warranty because Im moving over 1,000 miles away in a week and I didnt expect their recommended tire to show itself as a lemon in less than a month. The guy on the phone tells me that he would be glad to sell me a new one if I come in today. Not fix the problem, he made it very clear that he cant fix it and that I have to buy a new one.TLDR: Not only are the products they recommended to me bad, but they are rude over the phone and refuse to remedy their mistakes.
I went to have some tires installed. I had to wait 4 hours and then when I left I felt rumbling. I went back and had to wait 3 hours and they told me they couldn’t balance 1 wheel. eventually they took the tire off and it was filled with rain water. I left and later noticed the tpms were not correct. the wheels were in the incorrect order. i.e. the screen would show low pressure on the front left tire and it was actually the back right. now i’m dealing with the tpms they sold me failing and reading no pressure in 1 tire and low pressure in another. I checked with a gauge and they are both filled and at correct pressures. I chose not to go back to get these fixed because I refuse to wait another 4 hours there for somethingupdate: they fixed the problem and did right by me
I went to this Mavis tire discount today to have 2 front tires changed with reservation. The pricing was great! My experience is not implying to the company and their products as a whole. Specifically this experience took 2 hours and 30 minutes to replace the 2 front tires. Several cars was processed before and in between my service which I understand must be done but I believe caused extras waits even though, I was told my car would be pulled in to the bay next. I left and walked around for an hour came back and my car was not touched. My personal opinion is organization and communication is lacking at this Mavis. Mavis advertises tires but does not have the time to service customers for the tires. If they did not promote tires then you would not have the expectation to have your tires serviced. In which, I stated and a staff member Eric informed me it says “tire discount not rapid service we have people that have waited for 4 hours”. I went up to the service desk and they looked at me like I had 5 heads asking can I help you? when instead the approach could of been “Mam 20 more minutes for your car, etc. it was like I bothered them to do their job. Even though I was the one sitting there for hours. I am fully aware all work forces are short today everywhere but kindness to customers would change a lot of dynamics to the situation there’s no communication about what’s going on with your car. I chose this Mavis out of several Mavis to the 4.6 star reviews I will be using tire discount in the future as I understand they ONLY focus on tires. I would rather pay the price for the convenience fee.
I got a flat tire on my motorcycle headed to work today. I waited at this place for 45 minutes until they opened and I asked an employee opening up if they plug tires. He said yes but only car tires they wont plug my tubeless motorcycle tire. Which by the way I have had plugs put in my motorcycle tires in the past without issue. If your the owner of this shop you should fire this guy. His attitude and work ethic suck and youre now losing business because of him. I spoke with him at 730am today. He is heavy set, sun glasses, white shirt, short hair and light skinned. I will never do business with any Mavis tire center again after today. I then went to AutoZone a few hundred yards away and bought a slime tire plug kit and did it myself in the parking lot. I made it to work in NYC with no issues after my fix.
Excellent service and knowledge and price. Josh, Aquil(mgr) and Luis were terrific. Recommend them highly. This happened earlier in the year. Several weeks ago I went back. Mavis was terrific as usual. New manager Dom who I have wanted to be mgr for a long time was great as was Tyler new asst mgr. if you need help with tires, brakes,etc. this is the place to go. You won’t be disappointed and service and prices are terrific. Ask for Dom.
This place is amazing. Truly, the best thing about this place, is the workers. Dominick is truly amazing. He took care of my needs like it was his own. He is very knowledgeable about everything concerning cars. I am astonished, definitely will come back. I will also be sending my family and my friends here. Thank you Dominick
Dominick has ALWAYS been informative, professional and made the wait a pleasurable one.The small talk goes a long way…from kids, sports, family, life, etc…Next thing you know your car is ready!You can tell Dominick takes his job personal. If I’ve had work done and came back due to something not being right, his response is ALWAYS, “Let ME see” what you’re referring to and what needs to be done to fix it.Luis was just as informative, professional and friendly gave me updates on my vehicle even though I was simply just getting an oil change.I would have given 5 stars based on my interactions with these gentlemen but recently I have encountered I guess a manager transferred to this location “Jersey” is what I believe they call him.I’ve witnessed him yelling (who knows about what), talking harshly to the guys that work there and an employee actually quit and walked out after just his first day.I, myself encountered “Jersey” where he totally brushed me off, never once made eye contact and walked away while I was speaking with him PROFESSIONALLY!Today, same behavior, asked if I was going to wait when I asked how long is the wait - I received the response “I don’t know” and walked away…just HORRIBLE!This uncomfortable behavior alone made me not want to give 5 stars!As busy as this location is, make the customer feel comfortable, show some compassion and reassured that they’re in good hands.
Im surprised by some of these reviews. Gersey guessing the store manager decided to just laugh at me today.... Literally laugh at me and joke around with his employees when Im already having a bad day with a flat tire. My tire was out of stock but they had another tire same size and he wouldnt change the tire. I offered to pay for the difference of a more expensive tire. Instead I have to wait 2 hours for a tow to another location and get it changed. I have never seen such unprofessional service in my life. This must be his first job managing cause he has got a huge power trip he needs to lose. Another store manager was calling him from another location. He knew he was calling cause he just got off the phone with me on speaker and he just ignored the call for about 20 rings. Im in literal shock about this service. Two of his employees are on there cell phones four cars in the garage and after 2 hours of waiting guess what! Same four cars. Probably will get it finished faster at the other store anyways. Thank you Mavis for taking up more of my time! Tomorrow will be 8 trips about 30 hours of my time in the last two months for my brakes and tires. Just ridiculous.
These guys are great. Gersey and Dominick are awesome. It’s too the point where I wanna go there just to have my car say thank you to them. Every time I go there, my car feels so much better. Their customer service is beyond expected. I love my car because I love this Mavis. I love this Mavis because I love Dominick and Gersey.
Initially, I went to Jeep Chrysler Dodge for my tire that blew out. Drove it for a week and went on my day off to get it replaced. My car is a lease, so I went straight to the dealer, and they refused service saying that they stop taking vehicles at 12 pm even if it was just a tire replacement (how is that ok when their service center closes at 6pm???). Makes sense why I always hear negative reviews for Jeep Chrysler Dodge of Nanuet. Anyway, I was upset (rightfully so...) and then I remembered Mavis Tire of Nanuet...Eric and Dominic were very personable and assisted me right away. The service was quick...the price was right...and overall experience very pleasant! Please do not hesitate to go to them for your tires and overall vehicle needs! You wont be disappointed!
Very accommodating. I did schedule for replacement of 1 sale tire but changed my mind to change all 4. Since they didnt have enough in stock to satisfy my change request, they were kind enough to price match the sale rate to the higher end brand. I do suspect they were being a exxgerated on the time it would take to complete the job and they took creative license to explain the longer than promised wait time. But all good, just trying whatever they could do to keep the customer happy, I suppose.
I went to change the oil of my car, they told me that it would take about two hours to get all done. Then I came back after two hours and they didn’t even start working on it. After that they told me to wait another hour, and I waited for about three hours until they get it done. First they said two hours and then it took them five hours total to change my car oil. Plus they don’t share respect with customers.
These guys at this mavis are so kind and so respectful.they told me it would take 2 hrs cause of all the people that were there and they got me out of there within an hour.They helped me with my brakes and told me i needed new rotors and gave it all to me for an amazing discount and gave me a ride home from their store. Can thank them enough especially Dominic,Eric,and Mike
Tyler and Dominic are the stars of this store!! They are always a great and always help me out as fast as they can! With how many customers come in here idk how these guys do it but they get it done and with amazing customer service will be returning because of these 2 guys thank you again mavis!!
Came in for an oil change and after a conversation with Steve purchased a new set of Michelin tires for my car.I knew they were overdue, but has been avoiding doing so. I loved the fact that he was not pushy and explained and showed me why it was necessary to do so.Great Customer Service.!!!
I got a flat tire today and couldn’t find my size tire anywhere however I called the Mavis on Smith St. and they were able to find my tire size needed. When I walked in Lewis the manager remembered us and took care of us! I ended being able to replace my tire and get back on the road!
I waited 3 hours just for them to tell me that they do not have the tire I needed in stock. What a total waste of time. You get what you pay for & the attendant also wanted me to order a different tire than what the manufacturer is telling me.The best way to phrase this experience is “miserable”. That’s not how a business should ever make a paying customer feel like. I will never step foot inside this place again.
I had a very pleasant experience there. I bought 4 new tires and found out I needed rotors for the back brakes .They were very helpful, told me from the start the tires were on sale grt price.overall ,I received several discounts an I am from Kansas City,, so it was very nice to receive honest and good work. I had to return the next day to get the lugs tightened and that was in an out.Great Service, I wld definitely recommend to any one .Thank you again
Love this place. My friend Josh took me there for a tune up and the price was right and everyone is very friendly and willing to help. Now he works there. Thats how great this place is!! I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking to get an all around maintenance for their baby (car). Thanks Josh and Lou... 🤗🤗
I made a reservation online and got the tire size wrong. I thought my mistake would affect the price but Dominic at the front desk worked with me and gave me a better price. The service was quick, and Jose and Denesh were professional yet friendly. If you want quality tires at a good price, Id recommend this location.
The Mavis Discount Tire on Smith Street in Nanuet, New York is run so terribly that it blows my mind. Made an appointment online for a wheel alignment and inspection for 1pm. I arrived and was told it would be 3 to 4 hours. What is the sense in making the appointment time then? I needed this done because I had taken a day off of work, so I decided I would wait. My car was not finished until 6pm. I waited a total of 5 hours. As I sat there, I watched other people come in with their cars and have them brought into the bays without a problem. I dont understand what I was doing wrong. It wasnt because they were understaffed because there were numerous workers there during the entire time I was waiting and watching. At 4pm, I called because there was no one at the counter and was told my car was being worked on and then got hung up on. I couldnt possibly believe that it would take 2 more hours. Even worse, over the phone before I made the appointment, I was quoted for it being $129.99 and today I ended up paying $185. Again, not sure what I was doing wrong. All I know is I wasted an entire day off from work and will never go back here again and will definitely tell all others to steer clear. What a shame. 0 stars.
STAY AWAY!!!Find somewhere else, customer service is awful and pricing is inconsistent.I made an appointment to replace all 4 tires on a Saturday. I reach there on time and the attendant tells me they are booked for the day and they dont honour appointment on the weekend and I should just show up next time. Really! O.K so I show up next week. I get a quote saying balance is free with the installation. I return to collect my car , guess what balance is now included in the invoice. Wow. Not sure how they stay in business with such poor Customer Service and dishonesty. STAY AWAY!!!
After waiting 3.5 hours waiting to have my flat tire fixed, Jose (Manager)and Will didn’t even have the courtesy to tell me that the tire I needed was on back order and that I would have to wait until next week to have it fixed. Great way to spend my morning. Please don’t come here!!! Everyone is in their phones and not tending to customers. If you need tires please go to Costco Tires. The only reason I didn’t go to Costco is because they open at 10am.
In a pinch, I needed my tire fixed ASAP after getting a flat on the highway. Jose Lopez & his team were extremely helpful in thoroughly inspecting the tire for any additional holes/leaks (in fact they found 2), and also checked all other tires to ensure there were no additional issues. They were friendly and kept us updated on the status of our vehicle while we waited. Despite showing up close to closing time, we were not turned away nor rushed out which was something we greatly appreciated.
I have been going to this location for over ten years. They have obviously had a change in management and direction. The attendants at the counter - Tyler and Steve, were incompetent, and arrogant. The mechanic in the back - Gersy totally padded the required work which they had never done before. This was extremely disappointing and I will certainly never go there again. If you can read past review by me, you would see that I had previously given them five stars. This experience was horrible and people should stay away from this location!!!
I was in the mavis discount tire in Nanuet. I went to change my tires after I made an appointment a day before, they make me wait for four hours and forty minutes when he says it takes about forty five minutes to one hour to finish everything. After one hour one of the worker’s comeback and told me that his sorry that there’s two customers still waiting before me, and told me to wait for another hour. After that I waited for almost three hours until they finished everything. I advise not to go to this location any more, they never say the truth to you about the time, even the manager don’t t care about the customer. DON’T GO THERE. DON’T GO THERE. One star is a lot for them to get reviewed with.
Not a good tire shop. I came in to install 4 new tires on 2017 Toyota Sienna.-My complain is that they broke 2 out of 4 tire pressure sensors while installing new tires.-They replaced it with aftermarket/cheep sensors that do not match my original ones.-aftermarket replacement did not work (the tire pressure sensor light would come on on the dashboard.-they decided to unmount one of the tires and leave the old tire pressure sensor freely bouncing in the tire so it can shut off dashboard error light-I ended up driving with two sensors in one tire (the installed replacement and broken original sensor bouncing inside the tire)Stay away from this place. They did more damage, it will cost me more to fix mistakes these unprofessional people made.
Went in with a few questions about my car and the way it was riding and feeling... Spoke with Josh who was MORE than willing to help and help he did!! I literally started my description of what was wrong with a few sound effects to help (which everyone seems to do) and he knew what the problem was before I could even finish... we got the problem squared away if not for the help of Josh!!! Highly knowledgeable and super willing to help and actually help SAVE me money instead of trying to sell me a million things I didn’t need! Anyone w any problems see Josh!!!
Will, Jorge, and the team at Mavis take care of me like family! They identified a bubble in a tire that could have lead to a highly dangerous accident, and then took care of me a few days later when I discovered a nail in another one of my tires! Could not recommend these guys enough, incredibly personable and professional with lightning fast turn around times. Thanks fellas.
I had a 9:00 appointment for an “oil change” after an hour they tell me it is going to be another hour. They said they were busy and were short staffed. They open at 9:00 and my car was in the 3rd bayNot only did they not tell me that it was a 2 hour wait, the manager had no clue that they had already drained my car when he told them to pull it out of the shop.The oil finally was delivered. “Delivered”. You do oil changes and do not have a stock of oil?This is clearly the worst experience and I would give a huge ZERO STARS, but that is not an option.NEVER AGAIN
Dom, June and all the employees at Mavis on Smith Street are amazing. They are so willing to help and work with you. They are honest and very easy to talk to. I will continue to go to this Mavis. Their honesty, work ethic and incredible manner is refreshing. Thank you Mavis!
My experience at this Mavis could not have been any worse. To start I had made an appointment to get all four of my tires replaced before the winter storms stated to hit us. I made an early apt. for 9 AM dropped my car off on time. When 2 PM came and one called to update me on the status of my car I called them. They had not started working on my yet. They called me back to say it would be ready at 5PM and I could pick up that day, also that the mechanic inspected my brakes and said they were nearly gone and needed to be replaced right away. I wanted a second opinion as the car is newer and didnt think that could be right. I just took my car to a more trusted mechanic who informed me my brakes are fine and are no where near needing to be replaced. Keep my experience in mind if your thinking of bringing your car here. I will never return.
I’ve never left a bad review to ANY business before but I felt obligated to warn people. Please try to avoid going to this Mavis!!!! The one on rte 59 is a much better option. The Mavis on Smith Streets staff are very unprofessional and extremely disrespectful. We were told that our car would be ready on Thursday and every time we would go to pick it up there was always an excuse to why it wasn’t ready. After several days had gone by we attempted to pick up the car (after they said it was ready) when we arrived the car hadn’t been worked on and was in the same condition. When we asked what was going on with the car? We were cursed out and threatened by an employee by the name of Dominic. Please, beware of this man. He is extremely aggressive and even threatened to punch us in the face. We had to get the authority’s involved. I don’t understand how someone can talk to a costumer like that. I’m appalled and disgusted at this mans behavior.
I had to give a star when they deserve no stars. Do not even go there. They overcharged my credit card and when I realized, they offered me a refund to my credit card and they never did it. I called back and Jose told me a check was going to be mailed. 3 weeks gone by and he is not returning my calls and a worker, disrecpecfully told me to call back until I get jose on the phone. The worst tire place in Rockland county.Go somewhere else!!
One star is tooo much for them, and they don’t deserve any thing. I do not advise anyone to go there; Believe me and don’t go there. I went to Change oil for my car, I waited for them 5 hours To change oil. After all that waiting they put more oil to the car. So when you start the car a sign shows that oil is above maximum. I went the second day they told me you came to late and we are almost close. So come tomorrow in the morning so we get to your car first. And he told me to drive with the car it’s not a big problem. And when I call a mechanic they said it’s a problem to drive a car with above maximum oil. It will lead to oil lake and transmission problems. I went the second day in the morning and they told me that the guy that you talked to is not here today and we don’t know what to do. And they told me I have to put the car there and to leaves. There is two workers are really not respectable and there names are JOSE, and KEVIN they talk to the customers with humiliation and disrespect. They do not respect customers and lie to them.
Nice friendly staff. Derrick went above and beyond in the pouring rain to help a couple of customers ahead of me. I was in no hurry and heard him say they were short staffed so I didnt let the wait bother me. The technician who serviced my car explained that I need new front tires and proper rotation is every 6000 miles so now I know this. New tires tomorrow.
I was there a few days ago and I called ahead to see if they could take me for a routine inspection. I was told to come right away since they were not busy. I ended up waiting 3 hours for them to realize that I was still sitting there only for them to tell me that they got backed up. I had to reschedule 2 appointments in my day because I waited so long. When they finally took my car in, I received a call from them (with me still in the building) to tell me that I needed new shocks when my car drove just fine. I made to feel like i didnt have a choice was given the impression that my car would not pass if I didnt change the shocks right then and there. $250 and almost 5 1/2 hours later my car was finished. I will never return again
We brought the car in for tires and it came out with a battery that dies every time the car shuts off and traction control issues. Destroyed the car of an essential overnight worker and made them late and stranded to each shift. Now we’re going to have to pay so much money to have the car fixed. STAY AWAY THEY WILL DESTROY YOUR CAR
I waited a little while for the car but was Informed about the wait from the nice gentlemen at the front named Greg. He was very informative and suggest the best tires for my car! I love the tires and will recommend family and friends to this location ! Great staff !!
You call up and ask them if they can take you for an alignment They tell you to come over, You come right over ,They tell you theyre busy Come back another time. You want to ask yourself whos in charge of this place and how do these people actually turn a profit. Unless you have a lot of time to waste dont bother with this Mavis
Mavis at 81 Smith is phenomenal.. people have to be patient as this place is always crowded because of the tremendous work they do.. they’ll even stay after closing hours to finish the cars they were working on instead of going home at quitting time.. I went in late afternoon on a Saturday and, not only was my truck repaired, but they stayed well past closing to finish the job so that I wouldn’t have to stay the night in my vehicle as all hotels in the area were booked for the night and I’m not from that area.. if it were not for Kevin, Jose, Brandan (with an A) and a couple of other guy whose names I forget (my apologies fellas but y’all know who y’all are) my situation would’ve been disastrous and for that I’m forever grateful.. whatever I need done, mechanical wise, to my truck those are my guys and Mavis is my place 🙌🏿🤷🏾♂️
I went to Mavis as I have with all my cars, first time this shop ( Rt 59 and 304). I purchased two continental tires for my Mercedes Benz. When I got home I noticed that one of my tires was smaller than the other the mechanic had put the wrong size tire on my car. There was also damage to my wheel. When I got to the store the mechanic said well accidents happen and I had to wait another two hours to get my car back. He also said the damage to the wheel was already there my car is in mint condition I know what was there. This won’t be the end of my complaint and I’ll never use Mavis again
I am really disappointed and upset with this place. I made an appointment for 10am and after waiting almost 3 hours they said that I need new rear brakes and they couldn’t do the tire rotation because of that. The price for the service is double than other places and change of oil is VERY expensive!I bought my tires with them and I will never go back!😳😠😡
Waste of time. Called asked if they can install a set if tires on new wheels today. They said yes so I loaded my truck dropped them off and said again that I need them today or I wont leave them was told again they would get to them. I called 30 minutes before closing and they said not till tomorrowI told them I asked specifically twice that I need them today. Their rude response was I talked to someone in thier call center. Even so I spoke with them in person and their call center is still part of their company. I wouldnt place my car on stands and removed the wheels if I didnt think I would he getting back my new wheels on the same day.
Hated is not a strong enough word , I called first thing in the morning to schedule an appointment for a inspection and was told they were not busy. When I got there I had to wait 10 min while Jason the manager finished his phone call to talk about how bad the workers were , to only be NOT acknowledged. Devin finally looked up my ticket I asked him will it be quick he said it takes time but I was next. Over 1 hour later 10am I asked if I would get out before 12 he laughed and said of course. 1145 no call I went there Devin did t know who I was car was not even looked at when I asked for my keys I was met with a sure and sent on my way. Please head my post and I will be following up with corporate
The worst experience ever I took my car in for two tires and came to pick it up only to find the front bumper was damaged I spoke with them before leaving and they denied everything but it’s funny my car was the only car parked behind the building. They contacted corporate and they reviewed camera according to them and found nothing but car had red paint on it which the lifts were red in the garage. Sorry to say I won’t be returning to a place that is dishonest to customers.
Go to any other tire shop if you value your car. When I went to pick it up (4 hours later than they said it would be ready and still had to wait 50 minutes for them once I got there..), my rims were completely covered in dirt (getting two back tires). After finally getting my car and washing it I noticed both rims (where they did the work) were scratched and my logo inside the rim was bent in and damaged. Brought it up to them and was essentially told I was lying and the best offer was a discount on repairing the rim myself. The tire prices are competitive but dont trust your car will come back as you gave it to them. Past that they are pleasant people (unless they damage your car then all of a sudden they couldnt care about you).
Mavis tires does more than just tires they are very good at what they do . They are fair with their prices and may seem high because they need to do the job right and that involves adding items that may be worn to make it last longest and not have issues . We as consumers must be educated and make those decisions and be willing to take responsibility for them and not be cheap about it . They are busy and try to accommodate everyone to the best of their ability so be clear as to your time expectations and give yourself extra time so as not to be disappointed. Remember they have to wait for parts many times which can be delayed which puts them behind. If all these things are a problem stick with your local mechanic and be willing to pay the extra money because Ron Ananian says a good Mechanic is priceless
Honestly THE BEST shop Ive ever been to. Our family has 7 cars all together & each of our cars ONLY go to this specific specific Mavis location. They do an exceptional job on all of our cars & always take care of our family & anybody we refer to them right away. Very honest & always work with our family no matter what time of day we are there, or call. Would recommend this specific location to everyone I could!
I made an online appointment for an oil change. I showed up on time and walked around to neighboring shops while (I thought) they changed my oil. Two hours later, I returned to find my car hadnt even been brought in the shop! They took my car back and had it done within 40 minutes. At payment, the guy just shrugged and said that its a three to four hour window for appointments made online. Seriously?! Thats bad practice. I made an appointment for a reason.
Dominick was very rude, we went for tires change for a car we are fixing for my daughter and Dominick called me to tell me there was something wrong with the axle. I told him not to worry about it because my brother was a mechanic and he was fixing the car. One hour later, Laura called to tell me the car was ready but Dominick picked up the phone to tell me he can not give me the car without fixing the axle because it was dangerous. I did a 3 way call with my brother. My brother told him to just park the car outside, that he will pick it up and fix it himself. Dominick said that at least I bring a tow truck or fix the car with them, he wouldnt give us the car. My brother told him he would show up with the police. I called back, spoke with Laura, she told me they can not hold my car, that they were only advising me, and trying to help me, according to her, Dominick never said that, the car was already fixed and they only were trying to get the labor money back. I showed up to pick up my car, talking to Laura, Dominick immersed himself in the conversation and admitted he did said he would hold my car because he didnt want me to sue him if something happens to me, not good deed goes unpunished we helped you, just say thank you and bye. Very rude. Will never go back.
Stay away!!! The TPMS on my car alerted me that the pressure was low on my front passenger tire. When I get out of my car to check my tire, I notice a nail in it. So I brought my car to Mavis on Smith Road and told them that I needed a new tire because of the nail I found. Two hours later a mechanic tells me that I need a new tire, because I have a nail in it. I explained to him that I already knew that and just wanted a new tire. Thirty minutes later he returns and tells me that the TPMS sensor was broken even though the sensor is what alerted me to my initial problem. This is place is dishonest and I strongly suggest you not bring you car there. I will be reporting them to the BBB.

I’ve been coming here for years as my automatic place when it comes to price and service knowing it will be done right. Even when you’re not happy about something they will rectify it with no problem whatsoever makes you come back even more. I recommend this place for everyone.
I stopped in for an inspection and was told my brakes needed repair, I needed a power steering flush, and a brake fluid flush. I told them to hold off on the power steering flush and just put a reminder so I could remember to get it done next week. When I got my car back I found they did the power steering rather than the brake fluid, when I asked about it I was told the mechanic decided the power steering was in more need. Love how they decide how I should spend my money. Now I am questioning if any of the worl was even needed as I was bot shown a single defective item that was replaced. I wont be returning to this place, what a joke and a rip off.Update: Six months later and I now need new brake pads on my front tires. Makes me wonder if they even did anything I requested and paid for. Just called to speak to a manager and put on hold. What a rip off, I would stay away.
Went in there because I had no other choice. Before getting there I stopped at autozone nearby and they even told me they didn’t trust these guys but like I said I had no other option due to my situation. I get there and the guy barley checks my vehicle and already knows what the problem is. Says it’s the alternator and it’ll cost me 350 in total. I didn’t trust the guy from the start so I towed it back home to my mechanic and he tells me it’s the censor and that’s 150 for everything. Mavis discount tire was about to charge me for an alternator and then I would’ve had to come back and get the actual problem fixed because it wasn’t the alternator at all. so in all I would’ve had to pay 500 and get something replaced that I didn’t need changed. AVOID THIS SHOP.
I arrived at noon. They told me it would take 1.5 hours to 2 hours MAX to change 4 tires on my car. I came back at 2:00 pm to find my vehicle in the parking lot UNTOUCHED! I then sat in their waiting room for another 2 and a half hours waiting for my car to be done. Horrible customer service, they lie right to your face AND try to sell you nonsense that you dont need on top of it! Great priced tires, but my time is worth much more.
I have used Mavis tire for almost 30 years, but recently I am finding that when I ask them to high-speed balance the tires, even after two visits, it’s not done right. The people who work there are all very nice and polite, but the quality control in the shop is lacking.
I usually ignore these things because a bad day is a bad day , and anyone can have one, but this was a crazy one. After dropping my TIRE Only off, not the car, just my tire. To get a new tire. I was told it would be done before the end of the day.Call in the afternoon to check. The tire was not done ok not a problem. I Called in the evening before i thought the shop would close. I was told to come in it should be ready when i get there. I get there its not ready. They havent event started yet. This was about 530pm when i arrived, after about two hours and wrong tire size delivery later. I was told that the tire i needed was actually in the store, but it was late and the guys had to go home. I already paid at this point.The next day i tried calling from 9am till about 1pm, no answer. When i drove there it seems that my tire WAS ready, so i just took it and went home. After about two hours i decided to place my tire on my car, and the tire was flat. So had to go back and have the tire refilled. I spoke to someone about it and im still wating for a callback. This was about a week ago (a week a go).So yea not at all happy, AT ALL!
I called at 10 to see if i could come in for a oil change, a girl answered and was very nice, she told me i could bring the car in.. I arrived at 10:30 and droped the car off with a guy named Pablo. I called around 3:45 to see if it was ready to be picked up and i was told it could come by at 4:45 to pick up the car. When i showed he was looking for my paperwork and after 15 minutes told me my car had not been serviced yet and i would have to wait for two more cars to be done. No apology. I asked if the manager was in and i was told there is no manager on sundays.

2022-01-14Had a scheduled appointment to drop my car off here for new tires. Upon walking in I was greeted immediately and told someone will be right with me which was nice. Eric saw me waiting and came right in to see what I was coming in for. He was very polite, able to help to get my info, what I was there for and get me in and out quickly no problem, I truly appreciate that with me always being on the go. Picked up my car after work with no issues and just as quickly out as I was earlier that morning.I will be returning here for future tire needs and will be recommending this particular location as well.

Not only was my car done within 3 hours , it was affordable. The staff represents what good customer service is all around the board.

2022-01-11Waited over five hours for a repair shop to fix a tire with no luck. Brought it here, told them about my time constraints and they had it swapped out and ready in less than 20 minutes. Respectful and quick with a great customer service. Highly recommend.

2022-02-18I just dropped my car off after having my tire blow this morning. Greg was extremely helpful with purchasing a new tire and having set me up with an appointment so quickly. Greg also gave me great advice on brands and did not try to upsell me on anything. Also he let me add an oil change to this already last minute appointment. I am very much looking forward to picking my car up and will definitely be returning in the future as Greg took a lot of stress off my day which started so badly.

2022-01-19When your shopping do every one a favor and be nice to all the employees you encounter. I over heard customers getting irate when they didnt get the answer they wanted and or couldnt get seen asap. It doesnt cost anything to be nice and understanding. All the employees here have the patience of angles. (A good thing to remember is they are working on your car and are making it safe, dont upset them and distract them.)Stay well and safe all

2022-04-01Got a flat. Lucky I was only 3 minutes away. They informed me of my rear brake situation and 3 tired needing replacement. They physically showed me so I can see for myself. They assist me with price adjustment. Very helpful especially Dominic. Will definitely recommend.
