Super collection of Greek products at fantastic prices win a clean well laid out store. Very good selection of olives and feta cheese by the pound. enjoy their savory spinach and cheese patties from the front counter. My favorite is the coiled version with lots of crispy warm filo. Not a fan of baklava so havent tried any of the sweets but every is always fresh looking and the merchandise moves at this popular Greek grocery. Fun place to peruse the aisles. Good prices on large containers of Greek yogurt. Olive oil etc
Honestly the 4 stars is for the fact that its all imported from Greece and made my soul happy! The counter and bakery staff have left something to be desired when it comes to friendly service, except if youre a regular it seemed. I wouldnt be back in a hurry for their less than cheerful demeanour but its my go to in NYC for anything and everything Greek! Fresh cheeses and meats, homemade hot food, pastries and desserts and a plethora of cupboard items. Its ridiculously expensive but its to be expected when you think about import prices and tax. Whilst I travelled far and couldnt purchase any fresh food or deli items, they looked amazing!I did try the (round) spanakopita which was all pastry and quite tasteless as well as the orange cake which was drenched in syrup and disgustingly sweet unfortunately.
Very nice specialty market. I was lead here by Google maps as I was on the hunt for some Baklava to bring home. I was not disappointed, very delicious. Very friendly service from the ladies behind the counter. The market is well stocked with Fix and Mythos beer 😁 I now have a spot for my Greek craving.
We came back from Greece looking for a place to buy real Greek groceries. This is it. Best Greek market for fresh feta, cretan honey, oregano on the branches, olive oil, olives and much more. I always get an expresso and baklava while here too. Do not leave without a pound or more of Bulgarian feta and another one (you can try).
Very nice ethnic Greek supermarket. A little crowded and parking is tough but over all it has old world charmUpdate........8/28/19. So... I wanted to let the people who see my reviews know what real Greek Feta cheese looks likePlease see the pics below. This is real feta ! If it doesn’t look like this save your money .
Fun market for a Greek experience. Excellent bakery does wonderful fresh spanakopita and tyropita (spinach and cheese pies) plus every Greek sweet imaginable. Broad selection of imported cheeses, olive oil, olives, pita, coffee and more. Housemade Greek and eggplant salads, plus varieties of fresh mezzes. No produce, little fish or meat but all the accessories for a Greek feast. Well priced too.
A renowned Greek grocery store, supplying imported and specialty food items. Of particular note are its excellent kalamata olives and Bulgarian feta. Be sure to head towards the baked goods section near the cheese monger, where you can pick up delicious, thick, fresh made pita bread.
Best bakery fresh Greek pastries all people will enjoy.Fresh baked bread. All cheeses fresh and sausages smoked in wine hanging up to die for. All natural products imported no chemicals from farmers direct. Try the frappe with miniature cheese and spinach and cheese appetizer size for breakfast
Everything Greek, a wonderful cuisine that does not get enough respect. Astoria is still Greek, and so when in Rome..We will be back for the specialty pastries...and prepared entrees.Titan has many varieties of Feta to choose from, we chose a lovely one made in Greece. It didnt last long. We snacked, made a pasta salad and turkish eggs.Plenty of wonderful olives, but I miss the olive bar.
Titan is one of my stomachs favourite places for me to get my Greek on ... .. it nudges me out to Astoria to stock up on all the Mediterranean goodness all the while my cardio vascular system nodding in agreement with the plan. Freshest feta in many varieties.. no package stuff... A vast variety of olives and olive oils ( Halkidiki I love you) and everything else I need to reassure my cardiologist that I intend to be around for a long long time ... Bravo!
First let me say Ive been going to Titan for as long as I can remember and Im in my 50s. When I was a child, my father would also go and pick up feta, olives and Greek goods for family members from PA. Titan Foods has always been a must stop for my family for many, many years. I recently visited on Monday, 7/26/21, and bought $400 worth of cheeses for myself and my family members. Among the items I purchased was over 10 pounds of Arahova feta cheese. I dont know what these folks sold me, but it wasnt Arahova. The cheese is absolutely disgusting and everyone I gave the cheese to could tell immediately it wasnt Arahova brand. It might be an honest mistake but I have my doubts, as I turned away and started shopping for olives and other products while they were packing my cheese order. Word to the wise: theres a reason why Greeks ask to taste a sliver of the cheese before they buy and Ive done the same in the past but I trusted Titan to sell the feta brand they were advertising. Ill never buy another ounce of feta from a Greek distributor without doing the same and tasting it first. Me and my family have been loyal to Titan foods for many, many years and would never dream of going anywhere else in Astoria (or elsewhere). That loyalty is over. Shame on you Titan Foods.
I have had Greek food before but have never seen so many imported Greek goods in one place! The staff was very friendly and helped us narrow our selections. Their hot food and dessert looked incredible! We took some with us and snacked on it while we walked around the town. The desserts were incredibly sweet!! Great with some black coffee! Their olive selection was awesome and yummy! Great store with many amazing selections!
I just stopped off to buy some pita bread, homestyle roasted garlic hummus, and homemade tzatziki sauce. The minute you walk through the door past the bakery section, it takes some willpower as the smells of the authentic Greek delicacies hit your nose. I, not being of Greek heritage was somewhat overwhelmed. They have a section where they have different cheeses and olives. If you want to experience a taste of Greece, this is the place. I just need to find someone who reads Greek and can introduce me to the nuances of the different foods
This place is absolutely fantastic! They have a great selection of feta cheese and olives and ingrediants from the country of Greece. They also have great fresh food for you take on the go and excellent coffee and deserts. I was greeted great by the cashier Angelina and she represented how kind and respectable many Greek-Americans and i would highly recommend this establishment for great Greek food.
Everything I couldve imagined! Was recommended to come here for all things Greek groceries and was not disappointed. Loved being able to find things Ive missed from Greece like Loux sodas, papadopoulos cookies, Merenda nutella, and dont forget the yummy kaseri cheese in the back and the freshly made pastries in the front. Will definitely come back next time Im in NY.
I drove almost an hour to find authentic Greek goods and I was in complete awe the moment I walked in. The bakery section is the first welcome you receive amongst entering the building, and when I tell you its breath taking I mean it. Everything is made in house as well! They offer such a wide variety of products and the staff is very friendly.
Titan Foods,What an amazing place to find delicacies. Not just about the great variety of pastries, sweet & savory, but the prepared food, coffee, bread and so many other supermarket options.Always spotless, always well trained personnel ready to help you and to provide a great experience of the time you expend there. If you are in to mediterranean food, treats, or even some kitchenware items this is the place to go. Prices? More than fair for the quality of products you will find there.Dont miss it!!!
Really disappointed with my last visit. You will quickly learn their customer service has never great; if you read all the reviews but this is an entirely different issue.Their pastry section is quite lackluster as of recent. Stuff look like it’s been hanging around in the shelf for a bit, some of the pastries look like someone sat on them etc.I purchased one of the mousse cakes and when I got home it tasted like refrigerator/freezer burn (you know… that weird stale unkept refrigerator taste) unfortunately it was for a birthday, so I decided to call the next day and talk to the manager about my experience Sadly, he was not very helpful about it or show any enpathy, he refused to offer compensation or a new pastry.kaló apó titan 👋🏾
Excellent selection of Feta cheeses, olives, yogurts, pita bread , pastries , nuts , fresh herbs , prepared foods and so much more (best choices are products imported from Greece ). Prices are a bit expensive on some items but overall its definitely worth the trip . Staff is friendly while Market is uniquely set up with an enticing Bakery and prepared foods section . Looking forward to my next visit!
Very very nice market. Full of Greek specialties like olives, olive oil, cheese, pastries, cookies and more. Super clean store conveniently located on the heart of Astoria. Must pay a visit of you like Greek food. Employees are very polite and helpful all the time. Will come back.
This is the best Greek supermarket in the Tri-state area! They have amazing feta cheeses and an olive bar to choose from. I love their homemade loukanika (hot dogs/sausages). Their cashiers are super fast too for check out. Youll find everything you need for a Greek occasion in this store.
A must visit spot. Walk straight to back of the store and try some feta. Best feta in America literally. Also the hard Greek cheeses are a must try too. Don’t forget to grab some olives also. The best olives are the lemon and garlic green towards the back of the olive bar. Stop and grab some baklava on your way out. A little pricey for baklava but its very very good. I prefer it over the other bakeries nearby.
This place has everything Greek. If you havent been here in a while youll be surprised. They now have hot Greek food for take out and as a Greek its pretty good. They have a Greek pita bar with different spinach pies and a great selection of phyllo dough individual serving pies. They have a pastry department, a deli and anything you can imagine Imported from Greece. Free parking right outside. The service is usually very nice.
I love this place! I drove all the way from Staten Island in traffic to get here! It felt like I bought 1 of everything! They have all the comforts of my childhood in Greece, in one store! From ethnic beverages to, cheeses, pastries, and chocolates! I make this trip as often as I can!
This is my go-to store for Greek specialty foods. They have a very, very large selection of freshly made deserts and choice of fresh cheeses. I usually made the trip just for the Feta. Although they do have a few staples (like paper towels and soda) it is primarily a specialty market for Greek food.
The best Imported Greek products; Greek food cooked and prepped for you to to select; phenom baked goods made on the premises along with the usual standard American food and household products were used to having. You can even ask for taste tests of the various cheeses b4 u make your purchase. Its truly Greece in the USA but naturally in Astoria, NY
Its the place to go for authentic Greek products, ingredients, food. Weve purchased pastry and even birthday cakes there. I love the hard to find mineral water thats loaded with magnesium. If you are not Greek, dont feel intimidated; they speak English and would help you find whatever you need.
Titan is a household name in the Greek community. We do all our Greek shopping here. The feta is fresh, the food is great and the staff is courteous and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic Greek supermarket. (They also have non Greek items there).
This place has all of the comfort from Greece. Im so excited that they started serving homemade Greek food as well had some the other night and it was absolutely delicious! They have everything you need for every holiday season and if theres something that you want just speak to the information desk and someone should be able to help you
This is a very good Greek ethnic super market and they carry things like authentic Greek feta(many different varieties including Kefalonian, my favorite), olives, olive oil, canned goods, pastries etc... The service is always very good by all the workers. I have noticed that a lot of non Greeks frequent this place. Oh! and I forgot to say... I have been a customer here for some 38 years and drive about 1 hour from northern Westchester to get there...
Fantastic place to find delicious food (their melitzanosalata/eggplant dip is to die for, the choices of feta excellent, and the olives very tasty). The super friendly staff makes you feel welcomed--they are happy to answer questions if youre not familiar with Greek food products, and the nice bakery and cheese folks give samples too. Will visit again. Highly recommended!
Watch out when you shop in this store especially the cheese department. I asked for Metsovou feta, turned my back for a second to pick up oregano herb fairly close to the cheese department and I end up getting served some type of domestic feta with a Metsovou sticker. SHAME SHAME SHAME you think we are idios and we can not tell the difference between products. Never shopping here again.
All good selection of all sorts of Greek foods, including olives, olive oil, dips, cheese, packaged and baked goods at what seems like fair prices. Theres lots of turnover, so everythings fresh. Its grouped and arranged for easy access to what you want. Recommended, you never know what you might find that you werent even looking for.
Excellent store for all kinds of Greek foods.Includes two bakery counters, cheese and olive stations, fresh and frozen Greek specialties, spices and canned goods.Only down side is limited parking, so go early or during the week!We get fresh feta, pita bread, souvlaki and gyro meat, olives , tatziki sauce, dolmas andSpinach and cheese dumplings.
If there is a store catered to providing Greek grocery - food products, imported from Greece, to the public in NYC. ..well this is the place...Titan also sells daily made meals of various Greek dishes for take out. Other items, like Greek oil, various types of feta cheese, spinach pies, cheese pies, sweets, baked items, etc. They sell everything you can imagine...bring your car and make sure you have space in your trunk...(I dont have any business connection with this company)
To spare you the trouble, theres nothing vegan in here except nutsget at least one vegan meal or snack and ill change my review. let us all have just one meal in one store and youll save us the option of choosing from variety. is one thing too much to ask? come on people. the times are moving. lets stay updated and be innovative. change this and i will change my review.
Today I was at Titan, I went to the pastry counter, while waiting to be served, I observed the ladies working behind the counter, they were shouting at one other, were so stressed out. When it was my turn, she asked me what I wanted, I noticed her throwing all pastries inside each box, with this anger. Titan should get rid of all these angry and stressful ladies, customer service jobs are not for them. I will never come back here again. They ought to be ashamed of themselves, while all the customers waiting on line were watching them. Shame on you!!!
They no longer carry real taramosalata from reputable importers like Fantis and Krinos. Instead they are peddling their own, private-label, watered-down, pinkish, potato-puree with no hint of caviar flavor, in flimsy cellophane tubs. They are not catering to authentic Greeks any longer. Their new target are the yuppy millennials.
I really like this store; it has a lot of the Mediterrenean food that I crave all the time. There are a lot of different types of bourekas as well as the jams - the fig jam is my favorite! There is also salted&dried fish, which I cant really find in many places. The bakery is great too, you can find actually good cakes - small and big. I try to stop bt this place whenever I am in Astoria. Definitely check it out if you are around.
For authentic Greek products, this is the most known supermarket in Astoria. Prices are ok. Service is generally good and bilingual. Ομιλούν Ελληνικά. There is parking, but I suspect it can get really busy, especially around major holidays, when people try to find ingredients that are not stocked in US stores, like mahlepi or mastiha. When visiting Astoria, worth stopping for a bougatsa or tyropita too.
The biggest Hellenic supermarket in NY, you can find almost anything that you could find in a supermarket in Greece.Prices are not high but we must not forget that almost everything is imported from Greece.Feta is a must (only Greek feta is feta...), there are many options in olives also.
I love Titan Foods because they have a bakery, I buy my bougatsa or my swirly cheese pie (all baked on premises) they have a deli, pastries, a buffet with homemade-like food (I congratulated the chef). Anything you want Greek and then some. Dont get me wrong, there are other places to buy Greek products in Astoria, for example Mediterranean Foods, but I think Titan is the only place that carries the best Greek feta Dodonis.
Just got back from Titan with olives, cheese, tyropita, spanikopita, lemon potatoes, soup, stuffed zucchini and it will all be gone in two days because everything is amazing!! We love this store and when we pick up our daughter from JFK Titan is always the stop on the way back to Westchester.
Titan Foods is an Astoria hallmark amongst the Greek - American community. Its fresh cheeses, meats, fresh olives, and olive oil selection is second to none in the tri - state area. Its prices are not cheap, but everything is imported. If its Greek and its not at Titan then either find a local Greek grandmother to cook it, or book your next flight to Athens.
If you are Greek, its where you have to shop. They have an amazing variety of feta for example, for excellent quality and very good prices. The pastries are amazing. Especially the mouse. Olives are great. The only 2 things that arent the absolute best are the taramasalata and the skordalia (try international foods in manhattan for those 2 things). By the way, my husband is not greek and he loves the place and feels very comfortable there and has never had a negative experience. Part of the perceived unfriendliness towards non-greeks is that many of the workers do not speak english very well.
Weve loved Titan since our days living in the city and taking weekend walks around Astoria. Nowadays its a quick stop with free parking on the way via Triboro Rfk bridge from LGA to the burbs. Not cheap but they have the freshest Greek delicacies. Nice staff. Love the Cretan honey cookies!

2022-05-26I was in HEAVEN when I walked in to titan foods. They had every Greek delicacy there including a variety of cheeses and olives. I loved that they had traditional desserts and baked goods. I left very happy and can’t wait to visit again. They also ship if needed too.

2022-02-08Great little Greek grocery store. Lots of fun specialty items. Kinda got the vibe that if you werent Greek they payed you no mind. I was looking for specific cookies at the bakery section, and kept on getting snubbed and left in the middle of asking a question about an item for Greek customers. I finally got what i was looking for. Regardless of this, I truly enjoyed the products they carry and will be back.

2022-03-08It is a nice large and clean market with mostly Greek food products and delicacies. A huge selection of cheese and olives. It has a small sweets and pies section. Greek pastries to select. Not my taste though, I had better. They do have a nice home made spinach pie that is delicious.

2021-04-23This store is sensational. Traveled to New York and purchased the best Feta and Manouri cheese as well as pastries. Couldnt leave without the huge can of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a variety of olives. Purchased many more items and enjoyed shopping here.

2021-05-11Lovely greek market with a lot of selection. Been here in the past and glad that it has weathered the pandemic. It has a great selection of cheeses and greek dishes. Lots of lovely pastries from the bakery as well. It also has a decent sized parking lot which makes it quite convenient. If youre looking for good greek food this is a good stop on your journey.

2022-06-08My father in law introduced me to this place year ago. He was Italian and the store is Greek and has great European foodstuffs you can’t find in a regular supermarket. He taught me to go to the specialty places for good authentic specialities instead of relying on supermarkets as a one stop shop. They have a great Feta assortment and it’s the only place I get it from. Plus authentic plain Greek yogurt. They also have a bakery area that looks amazing but I am watching my carb intake so never have gotten anything from there but from all the Greek people I see buying everything and the look and smell of it all I can tell it’s exceptional.

2022-06-08This is the place where even the White House orders their feta cheeses. I love their sfela cheese (only found here and in Messinia.) Their prepared foods like the gemista are also very good. 🧀
