Lovely park in a pretty urban part of town. Winding paths snaking around a lake with birds, turtles and fish. Rent a paddleboat on the lake for $10 and have some fun with loved ones. Theres s nice eatery, and a handful of food carts selling everything from potato crisps to churros. Fun place to bring a book and a blanket.
Its a 60 foot Tall light house located at Fulton and Pearl Street, it was built in part due to the instigation of Margaret Brown AKA The unsinkable Margaret Brown to remember the people who died on the RMS Titanic on April 15, 1912. Interesting monument and history, definitely worth seeing when you are in the Seaport area
I cannot say that this memorial really serves justice to the ship, its maiden voyage and those lost in the sinking. However, it is located near the river at South Street Seaport and that can be relaxing. Commercial stores have taken over the area as well, which has taken away the value of this being a memorial.
This is a commemorative lighthouse with some rocks and benches, not a full-fledged memorial and not a full-fledged park. I thought it would have names or history written down but all there is is a plaque describing how the lighthouse came to be. Not an ample tribute to an epic tragedy!
I was severely dissapointed when I found out this wasnt a tribute to the blockbuster action romance Titanic starring whats his face and Kate Winslit.Oh yeah, what was that guys name who starred the as the evil rich guy? He was a good actor.See this is why I gave it a 1 star review--I was hoping to learn more about the film!
The critical juncture of the Bridge, where the cables come lowest to hold up the road bed, is ablaze in the setting sun. This astounding structure appears not only to bridge the river, and let any size vessel pass underneath, but also bridge mankind to the very heavens.
I wish that the titanic did not sink .here are some facts about the titanic. for thous of you who do not know about the titanic.and want to learn about it. The titanic had 2136 passinger 1369survived. The titanic was made in 1909. It sank in 1912. I thinkThe titanic should stay underwater for the lives that were lost .if you agree white me please right back .my name is nyzeah dejesus . Thank you.do you like it or not right at mediately please
The place is not distinguished, it is located just before crossing to Pier 17. The problem is that the place goes unnoticed does not have much attraction at least visible. It has a plaque where it indicates some characteristics of what was a beacon that was inactive. You can really ignore it, or take a photo in passing towards the pier 17. Nothing spectacular for a city that is used to stand out
A nice boulevard of the Sea Port. There are always events on the street or they are filming a movie. Near the sea and the walk through the different ports of the East River (for example Pier 17). There are many restaurants, cinemas, shopping area and even a museum, the bad thing is that they close early. It can be reached on the M15 bus and subway.

2022-05-14Small Informative plaque on memorial lighthouse. The area is chock full of bars and restaurants so nightlife is abundant. Just south and almost under the Brooklyn bridge.

2020-03-15Great place to visit, specially at night. The view is incredible from the pier with all the skyscrapers and the Brooklyn bridge.

2019-11-16It may be titanic memorial but I almost did missed it. The memorial notes are written in small letters and nothing more.I did like the small park but I may have expected more. It’s simple but seems like nobody knows about it which is sad since it did left an impression of related more for the museum than the titanic due to big lettering (see the pictures and you get what I mean).

2018-08-23Small sliver of history in the middle of the Fulton Street pedestrian / shopping / dining area. Blink and youll miss it. Theres a small plaque on the side of the lighthouse that tells a little of the story of how a lighthouse ended up on the side of a main street. Relevance to the Titanic disaster itself seems low, though.

2019-09-05For a memorial.. you could walk by and miss that it is even there. We walked specifically to find this and were slightly disappointed. It’s a very nice seating area I.e benches and flower beds with a lighthouse which apparently is the memorial.. but instead has big writing on it for the nearby museum. Look closely though and there is a plaque which confirms it is indeed for Titanic as well as the history of the lighthouse.

2020-10-24Its just space to either sit and people watch or do an outdoor workout. There are stores around where you can shop and which leads to the famous Pier 7 but ots nothing to actually see or brag about.

2019-10-11Love the park here on the weekends. They have an open bar and its perfect to stroll around with your lady friend. Awesome movie theatre too known as iPic. The iPic theatre has great food and full bar service. You even get service to your seats if you get premium tickets. Kind of pricey, but youll watch your movie in peace.

2020-09-22The best park in the Seaport area for younger kids (ages 0-6). Not recommended for kids 9yrs and over. Too many toddlers to add bigger kids into the mix.

2019-07-27Walk right through it and youll miss it. This is a cozy area with benches that circle the park. It has plenty of shade from the trees during the hot summer days and it a literal walking distance to the Seaport area.
