T.J. Maxx & HomeGoods in other cities:
HomeGoods store should be embarrassed of their managers. Today is Wednesday August 25th that was in there 5:00 the manager had to be called five times before she showed up I had an item that had defects in many places around the mat she walked up she was so annoyed that they had called her you could see it on her face she wouldnt help the lady next to me on the register she said absolutely not cant be returned walked away then my register lady had to call her again I have a question for you she turned around with that look on her face again and said what she said this woman would like a discount on this it has defects around the edges she took a two second look at it she said its not bad enough no discount I said you know what lady you just lost a $20 sale... I dont want it keep it and I walked out
I truly love tj max and home goods. The products they sell are always what I am looking for. My complaint is about how it is set up. Its both stores combined together at the same location. Eveytime I have gone, the line is at least a 45 to 60 minute wait. All cashiers are always in use so is not like they dont have enough people working. My opinion is having both stores in one location, with enough cashiers for one single store doesnt really work. I dont mind waiting 15 to 20 minuets in line when its busy but when the line goes all the way to the back of the store, something needs to change
Clean, friendly workers. Lines are very long and checking out takes awhile but the cashiers are friendly and professional, taking their jobs seriously and cleaning all surfaces after each customer checking out. The only downside to this is that I live 4p minutes away...... still worth the trip!
They have this crazy woman working the dressing room, who is over the top obnoxious. She’s loud, offensive, and annoying. She gives her unwarranted opinions to everyone regarding the clothes that they are trying on. I used to cringe every time I had to try something on and saw she was working. I could tell that other women going into the dressing room felt the same (as I saw the look on their face) after this woman would open her mouth. I don’t shop at this location anymore because of her. I now shop at Williamsville or Lockport. Much better and cleaner too.
I went in to return something a few weeks ago and everything went smooth until this past time. I needed to return some headphones and they told me I wasnt going to be able to return them with the ID that I had. I informed them it worked last time and they got really snobby and mean when I tried to have them understand. Needless to say my ID went thru and made them look like the ignorant ones. If people are going to treat thier customers like that they shouldnt be working for a store thats based on customer service. Next time I will complain before I leave the store to the district manager.
They have 4 or 5 registers open but one line for them all. Looks discouraging. I usually just drop the 1 or 2 items I have unless its a good score. Plenty to look through but alot of it is damaged already from too much handling. Its definitely different stuff for a good price but I see way too many people buying junk they dont need. Easy to get sucked into what theyre selling but, thats good marketing.
I love shopping at TJMaxx. Great choices. Great prices. Its usually a great shopping experience, however, today was an exception. Long line and a rude cashier. People in line without masks. I still highly recommend. Ive been going there for years and I always have fun. If you asked me about TJMaxx on a different day. I would have given 5 stars.
Tj Maxx is a store that has a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. You have designer clothes and items for women, men and kids. You have a small section of novelty items, which you will find spices and a few home decor items. They have a bigger selection of home items, next door in their store called HomeGoods. The prices range depending on what your looking for. I found that while some designer clothes are super cheap, a small novelty end table is very expensive. My wife and kids love this place, I am not a fan of Tj Maxx. I never once found anything for me, they just dont carry the style of clothes Im into.
Very good selection in the store, especially with them both together, people are generally nice as well. Big problem here is the lack of cashiers AT ALL TIMES. Guys, you have two stores in one, you cannot get away with three cashiers and six people standing around watching them and playing with random toys behind the registers. The aisles are almost always a mess to the point that you cant get through and when you say excuse me to the people who work there, they ignore you. Great store besides just returning something or cashing out quick isnt really possible unless you wan to wait in line for thirty minutes.
I enjoy shopping here. There is a lot of goods for the whole family. Clothes, accessories, furniture, decorations for the home, etc. Prices are great too. The home goods section is a bit crowded so it gets a bit hard to navigate the cart on the aisles. But still a good shopping experience
I love the clothes selection here, great prices for everything & there are always lots of registers open so checking out is speedy and painless. The home goods section is amazing too, so many different things to look at, they have super cute decorations and furniture and also dinnerware! Like cups and plates and salt & pepper shakers! The associates are super nice and its a great place overall❤
I love TJ Maxx stores normally but the shopping experience here is ridiculous. The checkout line is massive and they do not staff the registers appropriately. You can easily spend over 45 minutes in line. I waited for 15min before leaving the line and abandoning my cart because I wasnt even a third of the way through. This was at 11am on a Wed so I shudder what it is like on the weekends. Also, even if you shop online on the website, you have to make the returns in store unless you want to pay S&H. If I didnt also shop at Marshalls, I wouldve gotten rid of my store card at this point.
This location has an amazing well-stocked gourmet section & has really stepped it up on nice beauty products. I used to find really amazing apparel & accessories at this location but lately, have been consistently disappointed at the offered selection. Sales associates have always been respectful & helpful when needed. Steadfastly, this is still one of my favorite places to sift through for the occasional special item or gift.
Store constantly closes early! Doors locked a good 5 or 10 minutes before posted closing. Theyve been doing it for years (pre-pandemic) at this one store. So annoying! I get employees want to go home but its not fair on customers especially now that they close so early & you cant try on anything due to fittingrooms being closed. People then cant get refunds on stuff thats the wrong size because the store has such limited hours & they always shut early here! Geez, during posted operating hours at least let people do a transactions that takes 2 minutes at most!
LOVE these stores. You never know what your going to find. Prices are very good. All kinds of knick knacks, outside things, household and kitchen supplies. Even pet toys and treats. Brand name clothes at a discounted price for men women and kids. Great shoes. Definitely worth checking out
Donna the manager here lied about a price on an item that was tagged at $129. Initially she didnt find the scannable tag and made up a price of 399. Then I showed her the tag which had 199 on it and I explained to her that the other tag shows 129 and I asked the employees beforehand if that was the price and they said yes. She still refused to give it to me for 199 because she is arrogant and rude and doesnt want to help the customer. This is a violation of the consumer rights act and they will be hearing from me again.
Store is full of hidden treasures at affordable prices! However their staff is terrible. I was asked numerous times to open a store card. I said no each time. At the end of transaction she said you could of saved $16 if you opened a store card today. No means no. I was so upset when she told me to have a nice day I said I would say it back but I wouldnt mean it. Last time I went an employee pointed out to a co-worker that there wasnt a price tag on my product. She said no has time for that when the coworker suggeted to call the department and asked for a price check of the same item. They LAUGHED.
The products in there is👍great but the waiting in line to cash out is totally ridiculous 😑I waited 25 minutes 😫 and because of that 😢my legs and back was hurting I recommend that they should have a line just for disabled and senior citizens or I wont be shopping there no time soon 😢
Horrible experience. Its the only store that is still limiting the number of people that are allowed in. Everyone is wearing a mask so figure it out. Grocery stores and other stores that have much more traffic, smaller buildings, etc. are doing more. You have less check out people and the longest checkout line ever. This store is horrible.
This location is huge and packed with product. Very well organized and a pretty good selection of clothing as well as home goods. Pricing is on par with other similar retailers, biggest difference is their organization as it’s much easier to find what you need here vs other places
Only two stars bc there is never enough customer service. You literally have to wait in a long line for at least 30 minutes!! Even if you are only purchasing 2 items. Dont waste time going there bc you probably wont last in line long enough to purchase the items. HIRE MORE STAFF!!!
It takes a little while to get used to the organization of the items, but once you get the hang of it you can find some great deals. They even beat out Amazon sometimes. You can stay in this place forever though so make sure you have plenty of time to shop. They have clothing, shoes, home decor, cleaning products, beauty products, health foods and so much more!
Dont buy anything from here if you may end up wanting to return it. Also, do not buy a gift and get a gift receipt because you will not be able to return it. I had issues two different times at two different locations which resulted in me waiting for 10-20 minutes for multiple employees to try and figure out how to complete a return. Just awful. I will not shop here in the future.
Ive been going to this store since they opened. I was like 17 and now Im in my fifties. Ive seen so many changes to the store and its staffing. One thing thats always stayed the same is the store policy which is 30 days with receipt money back which Ive always appreciated. One time I did get a clerk by the name of t Diane I did complain about because she gave me a hard time about returning shampoo even though I had my receipt. She said it was used. YES your right I said Im returning it because it makes my hair flat. How am I supposed to know that unless I test the product on my hair. So I had to call the Manager, which by the way no one should ever have to do. Anyhow, now this particular TJ Maxx has a line called RUNWAY. owww, A bit pricey but really nothing that the average customer wouldnt expect from this store. So maybe someone can explain to me why if I buy one of these garments Im supposed to leave the Red Sensor on it with the tag while testing the garment for comfortability. Clothes roll, go sideways, creep, are scratchy, come unbuttoned, this list can go on & on. But this stores policy just for these clothes but not the others is if you buy this garment from Runway the sensor stays on. Oh ok I guess I am supposed to go to lunch wearing my new summer top with the Red Sensor and bright purple Price tag mind you hanging from the side of the garment in front of the entire public? Is this store for real?? What nerve. How is that proper customer satisfaction for one? Secondly doesnt that expel the policy. So if I remove the sensor but have my tag and receipt they will NOT take the item back. Ridiculous. You would have to be a complete fool to accept that. Thank God for Nordstroms which by the way folks has excellent customer service and excellent prices and excellent management and they have the same policy without embarrassing their customers with wearing sensors.
The holiday shopping has begun! Thankyou SOOO much to the store manager! My daughter in law made a few purchases and when we got home, a bag with smaller items were not in the larger bags. We returned to the store and they couldnt be found, the manager was so accommodating and pleasant. She was very understanding and worked with us to satisfy our unfortunate situation. Thank you..
If you go here with your wife you wont make it in&out in less than 40 minutes, I guarantee it. Make sure you empty your trunk, youre going to need the space. Personally Ive found it to be a relatively good spot to get the oddball thing on the cheap. Clothes are a decent buy here too. My size must be a more popular size though cuz theyre stocks are low on 36 waist and XL shirts.
Why do I always get lost among the goods in this store? I come in for one specific thing, but find thousands of other things I wasnt looking for but found irresistible! This is the kind of store that has those items you have tried to find for years but never could...from dainty treats to just that perfect wall hanging. Daughter went and got lost at TJ Maxx for two hours, came home with six items she didnt plan on but loves.
A cluttered pile of name brand items from other retailers that can be had at a fraction of the cost! If youre willing to inspect the items for damage and dig through a cluttered mess of shelves there are amazing deals to be had. Its lots of fun and very hard to leave empty handed.
If I could, I would give less than 1 star. My experience was terrible. It started on July 24, 2020. I took a 1/2 a day vacation day and was meeting friends for a late lunch. I ran into the Geneseo, New York location to pick up some items I saw on line. Was at checkout and decided I would try for TJ MAXX credit card. I asked the first cashier how long would the process take and she replied that it wouldnt matter because I would not be approved. At first, I was shocked by her response and I asked her what she met by the remark she replied oh I didnt mean to offend you and walked away. Another cashier finish helping me and told me it could take anywhere from 1 to 3 minutes. I was approved and advised the 1st customer rep. After meeting my friends, who were offended for me. I called TJ Maxxs corporate office and spoke to a rep who said she would have a district manager call me back 24 to 48 hours. Still havent recd a call from the district manager. Notwithstanding, I have cancelled my credit card with them. I m not doing business and/or spend my money with TJ Maxx. I should have mentioned, I am a person of color.
This is another one of those places that I either do exceptionally well at or not well at all. TJ Maxx / Home Goods is wonderful for decorating your home, for finding clothing (if youre the right size...and I am not) and for finding the odd small furniture item.Today I did well in my retail therapy. Hope you do well here too.
Terrible Experience on 12/12/2018 @9pm. Waited over 30 minutes in line. Management needs to be able to analyze and mobilize employees to the registers. Workers were standing around talking while the pet bed isle was impassable. The cashiers are super slow and stand around like zombies. It took workers 5 minutes to shut of alarms going off in the front of the store(observed from the line). I thought TJ Max had higher customer service...guess not. THIS store needs help ASAP!
This was honestly the most well organized TJ Maxx I have ever set foot in. Everything in the cosmetics and health and beauty areas were organized well and easy to look at without having to disrupt the organization. Great job at this. I wish all TJ Maxx stores had this great of a display of their products!
I love tj max & home goods. Today I went to check out at jewelry because the lines were long and grandchildren had enough. The lady said they are not supposed to check out people unless they buy jewelry. I asked why she checked out the lady in front of me (she had toys) she said because she is an employee. Well Im thinking why dont the rules apply to them. They go there because they know theres no line. Why do I have to wait in line when there are no customers at jewelry counter.
I went there after Christmas and was hoping for some good sales. The connected stores were pretty wiped out. Their items are split to my knowledge. For instance, the toys that TJ Maxx would normally sell would be combined with Marshalls in the Marshalls you section. The item section didnt seem combined for two stores so I was kind of disappointed.
Worst exsperience on 4/20/19 at 5:10PM! Went to the dressing room to try on stuff and the attendant made me extremely uncomfortable when I came out. She insisted that she needed to check the tags on ever item (including the ones I didnt want). When I asked what she was doing she said she needed to make sure I didnt take the tags off. I felt as if she was accusing me of stealing. Needless to say I left without purchasing anything because I was frustrated.
Worst customer service Ive ever received. ATTENTION everyone who brought a stuff that was tied up by spider( THE SECURITY thing) opened up the box to double check in front of the cashier. Cuz there is one of the chance it is not even the correct stuff at first place. And the employee there will think and ACT as you switched the stuff in the box which it was sell to you was wrong product at first place. The reason why I am say it, because I just brought a bottle of Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Intensive Recovery Ampoules at this store, when I got home it was jar of cream instead of capsules. So, I went back to the store about a hour after I made my original purchase. I tell them thats not the product it supposed be and I want to return it, but they said it is not returnable and asked me to return the correct product it supposed be. Basically the employee there denied my return, and asked me to return the correct stuff, which was sold to me wrongfully at first place.
This is your basic TJ Max. I was able to find most of what I wanted however I was surprised by the beauty/skincare section. I searched high and low and found no sheet masks and while there were some non sheet mask options, they were mostly detoxifying. I didnt see any good options for hydrating masks. Was also surprised by the lack of brow products. I had some other stuff to get and figured I might as well look for some brow filler as well since I was running low. I prefer to fill with powder but would have considered other options but there was just a general lack of brow products overall. I did find new leggings and pajamas which I was looking for and I am very happy with those purchases. I know TJ Max isnt going to be like Ulta or Sephora but both brows and sheet masks are all the rage right now so I was pretty surprised that I couldnt really find either item.
This is probably the largest T.J. Max/Marshall’s WNY. Struggling getting the women in your life a gift? Moms, wives, daughters, a gift certificate from T.J. Maxx/Marshall’s is sure bet. This location is loaded with clothes, shoes, furniture, excellent kitchen utensils and products. The section for men is smaller but the prices are reasonable. Also there are also a lot of interesting food products sold here, a wide selection of gourmet and international goods. They also have a pretty good selection of small tech merchandise, smartphone chargers, Bluetooth devices, headphones, etc.The staff are fast, and checkout is very efficient, so even thought the place is usually packed the wait in line is ten minutes or less.
This place is chuck full of goodies. Unfortunately the last few times I have been there it is very difficult to get a around in the aisles and employees are always trying to restock and move things around which makes it more crowded. Their always complaining about something. Whats up with that?

2021-07-17As always a great shopping experience. Line started long but went quick, they called up for more help. Awesome selection of makeup at this location and they do a good job of putting things in the cases so they are not tempered with.

2022-04-25Received a purse as a gift for my birthday, wanted to return so I could purchase a wallet. When I went into the store the line was wrapped around the outside of the designated line area. There must have been 35 people or more waiting ro check out. When I asked where the returns were handled the woman told me I had to wait in the line. I said I dont know how much the return is worth and I am planning on buying another item. Is there anyway you could just scan the gift receipt and tell me how much so i.dont have to stand in line twice. She said no. It wouldnt be fair to the other customers. I once again explained I wasnt trying to do the actual return just have an idea how much the return would be worth, she refused. I attempted to find the actual purse in the racks to get the price but there werent anymore. I had already been in the store for 25 minutes and the place I would have been in line was still 15 people away from being taken care of. I left and when I do make the return I will just have them credit the original form of payment and forgo the gift, their customer service is severely lacking and Id rather spend my money elsewhere.

2022-05-05First off, the staff here is unbelievably rude and condescending, I genuinely cannot believe the way I was treated. Secondly, the products here are deceptively labeled. I bought something that was labeled as 100% cotton on the packaging, because Im conscious about what I put on my body and about how much plastic (and microplastics) go into the environment. However after purchasing it and washing it, I saw that the tag said it was actually 50% polyester 50% cotton. This kind of deceptive labeling is unconscionable, and that combined with the incredibly inappropriate behavior of the staff, I will never patronize TJ Maxx/Home Goods again.

2018-02-19Always a huge selection of everything you can dream of for your home at great prices. The rustic look is easy to find here. They literally have everything you need for your home. sometimes in the tj Maxx area you find some really good deals for name brand items. I have found ugg boots and North face coats in the past.

2018-12-21Great place to shop for gifts cheap and quality. Women clothing and children’s clothing. Has no men shoes but has great clothing for men as well as household items for decor.

2022-04-13Furniture tems are rather overpriced in the Homegoos side with not much help to move your item, but its still a good place for some cool grabs.

2021-12-15Unlike Kohl’s, who could not be more efficient and nice about returns, I’be been back three times with the same return. First time they couldn’t find the price/item on my receipt. Or, anywhere. Left because I ran out of time waiting while they looked. Second and third, same item, had to stand in long purchase line winding down the aisle. Literally from the main long line of registers. There is no returns ONLY counter.

2021-05-07I love the store, but 75% of the time I walk right out as the cash out line has 50 plus customers in it. Aint nobody got time for that.

2021-09-04I think this TJ Maxx/HomeGoods has by far the best selection of any of the stores around. The staff is also wonderful. If you go early enough after they’ve put out the merchandise for Rae Dunn (and no, you can’t call for this info which is completely fair and understandable since it’s against their company policy), you maybe able to get a few cute pieces!I also adore one of the associates! Every single time I go into the store and I’m in the checkout a little earlier in the day and not later in the evening (which is always a goal), I literally cross my fingers when I get called next to the next cashier it’ll be Diane! She is an absolute ray of sunshine. She is extremely kind, very knowledgeable, listens to all of her customers (even when I go on little tangents about how excited I get about Rae Dunn being in stock!) and saying she is an asset to the company is an understatement. She is truly a wonderful soul and makes each and every one of her customers feel special.
