Horrible mens department. Womans department take over almost the whole half of the store . Cant ever find anything in the mens department and if they do have anything good for men its very limited. I go every week trying to find something because its convenient.
Since COVID started, there store has been on top of their cleanliness game. The store is always organized, always clean. Only times it may be a bit untidy is when it’s during its busiest hours which is mid-afternoon. They have great staff that greet you, hand sanitizers everywhere and amazing deals. Always have good high end stuff on discount. Save your money and buy from here instead. You won’t be disappointed.
This place has good stuff
Considering it is the ladt weekend before Christmas, I was shocked at how orderly and well stocked it was. Hot everything I needed and the wait was only 5-7min check out. Only negative: they only had small paper bags for all items and charged for each bag even though it wasnt my fault they didnt have bigger bags. Was a handful to carry everything out.
Pros: They are doing a good job in controlling the total number of customers in store.Cons: Be careful with their cashier. We bought a single jacket costing $129, and 2 small items costing totally ~$8. The cashier scanned and charged us ~$180. I questioned her, and she argued that was because of sales tax. Come on! How could the tax be so high? This is elementary school math, OK? Upon my request, she re-started the check out procedure and got to the correct total charge. So friends, be careful when you check out in TJMaxx (and probably every other store)
This place is generally great! The staff is very attentive and the management takes COVID prevention seriously. Lines can get long and there is no cellular/wifi reception, but other than that I have no complaints whatsoever
There wasnt a line to get in. The escalators were working and the store wasnt super busy. I wasnt really looking for anything but of course I ended up with a few great buys...candles, shower gel and some Davids cookies.
Ran in here for a purse for my daughter to go to her semi-formal dance for school. Found what I thought would be great and the cashier was so complimentary and confident in the selection. Great friendly staff! The rest of the store apeared well stocked and organized.
This tj Maxx has a nice selection of womens and mens clothing. It has a variety of household items and the staff is pleasant and helpful
The best store to find home goods!
Poor service, watched one associate become irritated with a customer because she wanted an item that had a brighter color from the back on the shelf. This clearly irritated him as his comment ridiculous followed with his attitude. The girl standing in the check out line scanning prices for customers asked if she can scan something for me. When I asked her scan my towels she replied thats not on sale and I found the other item on sale because of color... um excuse you, the question was can you scan something not give me your option on the item after asking me if I needed a price on anything.
I am addicted to these stores. Ive purchased many tops/blouses, nightgowns, shoes, purses, costume jewelry, housewares, home accessories and munchies. I love what Ive purchased. Its also a great place to get gifts. The staff is pleasant and helpful.
Really helpful workers in this location. They really care about the customer. Not all locations are like this. And the deals right now are crazy. Jeans for 10 smacks, unbelievable. Stretchy pants. Every man needs stretchy pants in their lives.

As usual, great place for amazing shopping. This one has a good organization inside, it is easy to find department you need. Choice is good, maybe sizes are not properly displayed. Quick and friendly service. I loved the shoes department, as it had variety of shoes types, and for every size you could find something for you.
Hurry up theres a big mark down. Its very crowded and busy today. I got me a beautiful shirt for $10.00 and I got things for my face. My daughter brought a bathing suit. Summer things are going out. Excellent choice of merchandise from clothing, toys, yoga, furniture to food. Luxury shopping and the Prices are right on the money. Please beware...This place is ADDICTIVE! The lines move quickly for checkout. The floor associates are super helpful. I love love love this store.
It’s a very nice area to shop and be in. The selection of the clothing and products is mediocre but its TJ Maxx so there’s not really a high expectations. I was able to get some good gifts and find then there but it was most likely because I went during the holiday season when they have a lot of options.
This store is organized and neat. The service is friendly and helpful, when asked.It seems as though the merchandise available is mostly residual. 😒
Went in and it was way too crowded people standing in line more then 10 minutes. You would have to go early as soon as they open to what you need. And be out

One of the best T.J. Maxx outlets I’ve been to. They got some good brands and some incredibly cheap deals. It wouldn’t be fair to compare the prices with what we get in India. I can assure you that it’s worth every penny.Love how they have almost off all the top brands in the store.One can find all that they’d need from stuff for the house to all kinds of clothing, footwear, accessories etcI was in NYC on a holiday for 10 days and there wasn’t a day that I didn’t go to the store.I was lucky enough to not pay extra for excess baggage.
Great selection. Shoe section is organized, better than most TJ Maxx locations. Staff seems to be doing their job and following COVID precautions.
Great store with a good selection of items that are fairly priced. Great clearance section also. I do love the store and will go back. I had a minor issue with an item and Manager M. handled it well.

This is the best T.J. Maxx I ever stepped into. Its clean, well stocked, with tons of variety and various items. I went in for beauty items, luggage, and shoes. Found everything I was looking for. It would be 5 stars but escalator going up was not working.
After you wait in the long lines to purchase, you will almost always be greeted by rude cashiers who I’ve seen scream at customers on more than one occasion. Go across the street to their sister store, HomeGoods, if you want to be treated with respect.
I threw away my receipt by accident but I meant to do the satisfaction survey just to say that Latoya C went well above and beyond to help me purchase some furniture and transport it home. I also cant remember how to spell her colleagues name, but it was pronounced like Elijah and she was also incredible - waiting for a taxi with me and helping load the furniture. The customer service here has been great every time I go in, I really appreciate it! Thank you, ladies!

This is my first ever visit to a TJ Maxx store, and I think I am at right place! I was looking for some gifts for my family and friends, and its staff is extremely nice and helpful. Ms. Paola Paulino patiently walked me through the handbag sector and gave me great advice. She even helped me clean some barely visible marks on the bag that I decided to buy. Customers surely love to come back with such a wonderful experience. Ms. Kyler at checkout was very nice too. I think I will visit store often from now on ^_^
I found a super cute hand towel so Im not mad but I had to wait in the checkout line for 30 minutes. The store wasnt even busy at all!
Clothing style is not me but have great baby items/clothing and line always moves pretty quick

The item selection is pretty much hit-or-miss. Finding clothing can be a nightmare (although this does not apply to athletic wear IMO). The staff is very helpful and friendly for the most part. I recently discovered their kitchen section, they have a great selection of dishes.
Find some nice presents for niece and nephews and way too many for me. It was a bit messy but for this time of year not nearly as bad as it could be. Staff was very helpful, cheerful even.

Great place for low end designer staples like Nike. A great place for shoes, bags and home ware. You can also find the best deals on kids wear and travel accessories. Fully recommend although it can get a bit chaotic! The US store of the UK TK Maxx

What can I say about TJMax? I love this store because I find such amazing things at decent prices. When I get in TJMax....I dont leave until I have peeked in every corner. Believe me when I say that you will never walk out empty handed.
The selection is good but the customer service is abysmal. For example - the tag had fallen off an item I wanted to purchase. I asked for them NOT to put another hole in the garment and the girl at the register just kept saying thats not what shes doing, thats not what shes doing and then BAM she got a tag gun and put a hole in the garment. Didnt even try to put the tag through a seam, just stuck it right through the middle of the back of the garment. And then they got upset when I told them I didnt want it anymore! Unbelievable.
The cashier @ cashier #1 was super sweet she was very friendly and very helpful. One of the items I bought was miss a piece and she went an look for it for me. That was very nice of her.
Never know what kind of steals you can find here. Its huge, lots to pick from. I found some really good Elizabeth Arden products and stocked up on candles here!
Its kind of small but they have a lot in stock and its extraordinarily organized! I usually come in here to find non clothing items (makeup, hair products, headphones, accessories, etc). The one downside is its a basement- you cant go online and compare product pricings. Since TJ Maxx has a 30 day return policy on anything thats not a big deal.
Be patient and really look. I found the last bottle of my favorite discontinued perfume. I wasnt even looking for it but there are treasures in all that mess

I just think its super rude not only are there extraLong drawn out messages about closing that begin an hour before close they also have employees who taunt and say things about the customer while the store is still open but they turn off the lights over the escalator now they got a lock on the door so Im notSure that the power and cost savings they get on this will help them will someone goes up and falls at the top breaks their leg and gets alll bloodied up but Im damn sure it wont cover the multi million dollar lawsuit. This store has zero service has a mile long line while yelling at customers to get out and they turn off the lights before they can even process the people they had in line for over 30 minutes. The mens section is one of the smallest Ive seen and is geared toward larger sized men. Not very ideal for someone like me. I commend their service staff for working diligently to keep the place tidy.
It was ok, the sales prices arent even that changed + there isnt much XL items + the clearance sections are messy.

This store is terrible there is absolutely no organization, came in here to return an item it was over $100 so they had to call a manager I waited 20 minutes and no one showed up the cashier called them on the walkie about 6 times and they still never came. Ended up going to the 18th street location. Completely radicolous!

My only problem with this store is customers using the shopping carts to sit their dogs while they shop around. I find it disgusting and unsanitary. The shopping carts are not cleaned and bear in mind everyone uses these and not be used for a dog.
I never have been impressed by T.J. Maxx, --- at best, its a thrift store, and at worst its a huge ripoff! Macys Friends and Family, and Clearance Sales provide FAR BETTER quality, and prices!

Us a truck driver. That travel to different places, today I was working in New York, and stop at the t.j. Max in colombus ave, because I needed. A few things for cold weather this day. And there a was young lady by the name of mercede m. That took her time to help me. She was very plesent. Nice as a trucker and driving city. Is very difficult but, I have plesent time at least at store. By the way I got triddy. Thank you. Mercedes for all your help keep the good work.

Speaking for mens: There are some runway items, but not as much selection as other TJ Maxxs in the city. Otherwise theres a healthy amount of mens clothing. No mens shoes section.

2021-12-21Lots of deals, perfect for a gift, they have Steve Madden clutches and scarves, makeup, socks, blankets, kitchenware, Christmas themed baking supplies, hair styling tools, clothes, pajamas, gift sets of everything, candy, The Office and Friends mugs. They also have a good enough bathroom and nice service. Have fun shopping! 🛍

2022-07-17Totally forget abt this store but it came in clutch for some last minute birthday gifts needed! Store was clean, cashier was very friendly and accommodating and we were in and out! They do need to stock up on their gift bag selection as they only had abt 10 bags left and only 2 sizes available. As long as I can remember that this store is really like 6 mins away from me (by car) I would return!

2022-05-25The collection of womens dresses is unbelievable I wanted to buy everything getting ready for my trip to Europe found a lot of great amazing designer dresses for the lowest prices the store was very clean and organized and the sales girls was so helpful

2020-10-09The store is located underground with no cellular reception and no wifi. NO WIFI !!! Its 2020 and they seem think its reasonable. Practically it means that you will need to keep going out of the store ( that it is two floors down) to check your messages or find your e-receipt. Super annoying.

2021-09-07As always,my time at T.J Maxx was fruitful. I purchased a pair of combat boots and I spiritual journal, both which I needed & love. The clerks were helpful. Im happy to have pushed myself to travel across town to the Maxx.

2021-07-27This T.J. Maxx is a great place to find reasonably-priced items for your home. There is a large selection of suitcases, clothing for men, women and children, shoes, curtains, rugs, kitchen items, colognes, and many other things. You will be amazed at the size of this location--all of it is on the basement level, downstairs via two elevators or a long escalator.T. J. Maxx is located in the Columbus Square apartment and shopping complex between 100th Street and 96th Street on Columbus Avenue, that also contains a HomeGoods, luxury apartments, a Whole Foods, a PetCo, several fast-food restaurants, a Starbucks, a Modells and two banks: Chase Manhattan and Bank of America.I have shopped many times at this store and appreciate the lower prices for quality items. Several times I bought large suitcases here for my travels.Directly across the street from this T. J. Maxx is a HomeGoods store, which has similar items but a much larger and better selection of high-quality kitchen and household items downstairs.

2021-11-14Personally, I think their selection here is quite awesome—clothing department can be a bit overwhelming even and it’s difficult to see/look through the clothes as they are so crammed together with basically zero empty space.In my experience store associates have been pleasant and helpful. I’ve found several nice dresses and t-shirts on sale here.It’s a big store—clothing department in the basement. Just FYI don’t plan to be making calls or texting while on the lowest level—service is nonexistent.
