I went to Tj maxx to buy some clothes for my daughter going back to school I had to use the bathroom and when I asked one of the associates bridget she gave me a nasty attitude and told me to go in the back when I went in the bathroom it had a terrible stench I looked in the sink and it had some brown stuff that looked like feces. I will be calling to report the disgusting bathroom it was so inhumane.
Good selections and the store is very easy to navigate. The cashiers need to be more customer centric and friendly despite how late it is in the day! We experienced a bit of an attitude because we think she wanted to go home given it was near closing time. Despite that I would return again if Im in the area!
Poor selection and always long lines. Last month I bought a dress and it did not fit. I came back, chose a different dress and when it came time for me to do the return, the receipt was not in the bag. So I asked them to look it up by my credit card and they said that they do not do that (not true!). Then, I asked for a manager, and she happened to be standing right by. She said that theres nothing she can do because the item is not in the system anymore. The thing is, neither her, nor the clerk that refused to check the purchase by credit card ever scanned the item to check if its in the system or not. They basically break the company return policy. I guess this location is not doing well, so they came up with these new rules and limitations. Needless to say, I am not going back to this store!
The girl at jewelry counter was a nice greet. But the worst tjmaxx experience at check out during covid. I was in area on way home so decided to stop in. I had a return with a receipt. I also had the receipt emailed to me. Ive done a return on emailed receipt before and works well...hands free, I dont lose the receipt, and saves trees.I feel bad because I try to be understanding but I am not sure if its language barrier or because my cashier was elderly but I was waiting in line and I was next. The lady I would have gone too was cleaning her register after every customer. The cashier with a customer hurriedly calls me over before the lady is done cleaning her register and his customer is barely walking away. Hand gestures to hurry, come on. Im like are you going to clean your are? After 2nd time asking....he does. Then I have a cart full of purchases almost $200 and about $80 in returns with a receipt from yesterday.This is where he is confused about email receipts. I tell him to just scan the barcode at bottom like you would the receipt. Its legit exact same process. He keeps wanting to grab my phone and touch it. I said no. He said why not? I said covid? Sanitary measures? Its my phone. He argues its the only way because he needs to see the numbers. So I said I could read them to him. Fast forward....it was a mess. Took forever. No return was made. I purchased my stuff and then drove an hour home to do the return with no issue from my phone.The store was a mess...complete disarray..and no communication/teamwork. One gentleman was kind explaining where garbage cans would be if they had any. But the manager was not kind. She was arguing with me as well about needing a paper receipt or I couldnt return. I mean regardless of whether they could or not ...the communication was not handled nicely..I was spending money. My receipt was from literally less than 24 hours ago and they just could have been nice. She thought I was crazy for not letting him have my phone. He wasnt even gonna clean his area unless I insisted. I shouldnt be made to feel bad for shopping and wanting to be sanitary.Wrote this Sunday but Edit add on at 2am on Tues because I was up all night trying ti figure this out and track....upon looking at my receipt because I wanted to return the sink strainer I bought in a color that did not match...it is not even on receipt. It was 2.99...instead I was charge 6.99 twice for 1 item. So I was not only overcharged by 4 dollars but now I could have trouble returning because its not on receipt?! I was going crazy trying to figure it out!
I find just about everything here at great prices for name brand items. But remember this store like burlington n marshalls as well has a connection damaged goods . Its not seen to the eye unless u have that Taylor fit eye for it. Lets say macys just recieved 40 gucci bags that had a couple of stitches off,u wouldnt notice but its their so stores like these pick them up to sale.but its all good. Now why do i give this particular store in 5towns 4 instead of 5 . Cashiers have got to stop running to the aide of each other too much n deal with the customers in front of u. Thier standing thier waiting for u for more than 10minutes is way to long after waiting in line for u. This gets to the management team that r not paying attention to nieghther situations. Rather meetings, more hires, training n so forth. Step it up managers.
I came in to have a few items return. All had original tags.They told me i needed to get on the phone and get specific info to have refund credited back to my card mean as I didnt have receipt. I literally stood here an hour waiting for them to process the refund. I really dont understand, if items all have taga and purchased at this store, Whats the issue?? Other than this, its always a great buy at TJ Maxx!
Horrible. I went in her to buy a slip. I asked one of the sales associates for help to find a price and she made a face at me. Then she disappeared. I never saw her again. And as a matter of fact, i have plans to never come back into this store. Too bad. Because in general, I like T.J. Maxx.
Really a 2.5 for customer service but 4-5 stars for product availability....there are roughly 2 registers open at 6:10pm in the evening. However, not only is the manager walking around the store but there are also several other employees, one of which is eating an icee. When asked why is he eating....Im taking my 15. I stood on line and saw that it took 4 people to do a return, this included the manager.
Went in to do a return without a receipt and the manager gave me a hard time to return it. Telling me I had to go on the floor and look for the item to see if they have it before she can take it back because its a active ticket. I didnt understand why she couldnt take it back even though it had the tag on it. She said it having a tag didnt matter. The whole thing was a waste of time and pointless because she just ended up taking it back 5 minutes later. Manager Valerie is the worse.
Im a fashionista! So I obviously enjoy shopping at T.J. Maxx because really Im a maxxtonista! Each store is uniquely designed but similar is overall layout! So if you visit one location you will soon become comfortable shopping at other locations. You are allowed to try on a minimum of 10 items, but you must return items on the hangers. A relaxing place to shop and find many treasures.
Manager is the worst. I bought a shirt there, realized it was ripped and went back to exchange it, the cashier said they couldnt exchange just get a gift card, I said okay I didnt have the receipt but did have the tags. The manager came over and refused to take it back and was very nasty about it. Not coming back to this one.
The manager with the red hair (sorry cant remember her name) is rude! I was returning my jacket and before I could get the jacket out the bag she says I cant take the jacket back cause 4 blacks stole some jackets for another tjmaxx huh & wth I do have the receipt she says oh my bad! Like really!!!!! What does th other girls have to do with me??? I guess all black girls are shoplifters▶_◀

2021-08-17Only went to see what sandals were left for the end if the summer but the bag section was calling me. Found some cute sandals and a small crossbows bag. Both at inexpensive prices.
