The wait was over 30 mins. And the Ruben sandwich was on a hero, it was the most disgusting hero ; soggy bread. Unable to eat..Always had a Reuben on rye bread.
T.Js is my FAVORITE place in the world !!! Going on 14yrs I have NEVER had a bad experience with the food or service.... Starting my day w breakfast is a GREAT start at TJs, its always so perfect!!! Mike puts pride into his work and it truly shows !!!! Thank you Mike and my Gals and Guys !!!!!!!

Amazingly delicious sandwiches! My faves are: New Yorker, Reubens Cousin, Broken Rib, Jumping Jack Flash, Beef Barley soup, Beef & Veggie soup, Ham & Pea soup and their Shamrock soup. Yummy 😋
Great place, great selection but extremely busy at lunchtime. Way too many people inside so adequate protocol for covid was unsatisfactory in my opinion. There should be a maximum amount of people allowed inside at one time because youre literally on top of eachother. Otherwise I wish they were open for football Sundays but excellent food. I suggest ordering by phone and waiting outside until the adequate time has passed for pick-up.
Little pricey, but the sandwiches are excellent, I recommend the Cuban! Very people orientated, always very clean! Helps keep WF school district running lol. Can get very busy, but that shows the quality.
Extremely Clean and the staff is great. The bread is the freshest around and they never disappoint when they make your food. It is very clean inside and outside. You must stop in and try their hero’s if you are in the area. Great choices on the menu. The food is deserving of ten stars but it only allows me to give five. Great job on the quality of food this establishment produces.
I go out of my way to go here, I used to go everyday at lunch but now I work out west so I grab it on my way home for dinner.
Hands down the best sandwiches around 🤤 do yourself (and their staff) a favor and order ahead. Customer service and food cant be beat!
TJ’s in Middle Island is my favorite hero shop. The staff is so friendly and the food is top notch. Everything I’ve ordered is so tasty and fresh. The soups are beyond fantastic. I highly recommend this establishment.
1st time at the mastic location. I came in and was told they wont put lunch meat on a bagel. A roll sure a hero ok white bread fine but not a bagel god forbid Its not something they do..I was treated like I asked for gold bread.. I have been to 100s of delis this is the 1st time in my life I have ever heard that. They made me buy it separately and make my own sandwich. For all that I couldve went to king kullen and recieved a whole lot more for my money. In the future Ill just go somewhere else.
Amazing heroes and 110% compliance with covid-19 rules and regulations. Its nice to feel safe when all you want is some good food. Definitely recommend!

They make good heros . The bread was fresh and the cold cuts were good quality. The roast beef wasnt overcooked and was piled high on the sandwich.

Pretty good. I get a half hero here once every week or two. Ive had most of their menu by now. I hold grudges and wont go back to a place if theyre rude or give me bad food, but Ive been coming here for years, even before they put up this new building.
I get the Louisiana Chicken Sandwich every time I go. I dont go often but its what I get when I go.The workers are efficient, the place is clean, they get customers in and out as quickly as possible. No complaints from me.
Older lady with white hair very rude. I have been here multiple times and I have had multiple interactions with her while she was being rude. Food is great but HER service was terrible.
Great heroes and service. The food is always great and the staff is always working hard and look like theyre enjoying doing it too. Cant forget about the amazing iced tea either.
Nice clean place with a friendly and attentive staff. Had the Cuban and Louisiana Lightning heros which were really good, but huge! Also had the lobster bisque which was very tasty, but not as chunky and lumpy as Id like. Definitely going back to try other stuff!

We are seriously never disappointed. They put so much love into the sandwiches right down to the amount of extra side sauces they give you! Worth the money, won’t break your pockets.

The sammich I had was 5 star. Virginia Ham bacon cheddar onion lettuce tomato n house sauce on a wrap. Loaded up with ham nice proportion of bacon etc..good mac salad n iced tea. Wife got a wrap as well..grilled chkn sweet peppers cheese n chips for less than 30. Call ahead place is busy. Its a good sammich shop. If ya dont like sammiches dont go.
Amazing ! Whether you’re coming in for a quick lunch which my husband and I do at least twice a week , or having a party catered Tjs is never a disappointment ! We love Tjs for a delicious lunch or breakfast and we had our sons birthday party catered today by Tjs and everyone at the party raved about the wraps we had . Thank you once again. For amazing food , customer service and quality every time ! Employees are always amazing as well ! I work in the service industry so I appreciate every one of your hard working employees ! Everyone is pleasant, accommodating , and on point always ! Kudos to Tjs and their amazing staff
Honestly, Ive lived out here for a long time and only recently became aware of this place. Bomb-ass heroes! Seriously, if youre looking for a standard cold cut hero, the search is over. Thick, meaty sandwiches, made on the spot fresh, great bread, etc....seriously, awesome sandwiches!

Everything Ive tried has been excellent. The Cuban, the Reuben and the chicken club were my first 3. Some may say its pricey but you get what you pay for. Nice staff. Very clean establishment. Try the ice tea!
A great place to buy sandwiches
Wont serve if its quarter to close time. Month ago S/O went for heros it was 15 mins until closing. The sign said Open, door open to go in. Was told closed, asked says open & 15 mins until closing. Nope passed on the business, went to Handy Pantry instead & all was yummy! Lost his business & wont be back.

Tj Hero has the best sandwiches on the Island! The fresh ingredients, plethora of tastes that will satisfy your hunger a great deal, and much more will leave you coming back casually. In addition, the staff is very family oriented which reflects to the customer. If you have the opportunity to stop by, then dont hesitate to make that your breakfast, lunch or dinner choice.
Whenever my adult children come home for a visit, they always stop at TJ*s for breakfast sandwiches. They are now in their 40s and they have been eating their since they were in high school. New location, same delish food.
This place rocks fast and accurate service and price is on par , The quality of cold cuts is Boars Head . The redone established buisness now has plenty of parking and the right employees to get you taken care of . The breakfast I find is just as good as they don’t skimp on the egg wraps and leave you satisfied to come back and get you earning to return for their famous hero’s.
This is 1 of 2 locatiins. Went there when they used to be located on Mastic B Road. Then they built new building beautiful in front of William Paca School in front of parking lot. Good idea business wise getting all the kids coming

Snotty old lady behind the counter..Basic of basic heros and dont expect any kind of side orders. The cooks behind counter will judge you the whole time you wait in Spanish. Terrible closing hours.

Best hero joint on the island!!! (That is, unless you eat at the TJs in Patchogue...) .... I absolutely love this place. It is the first place I stop to eat when I hit the island to visit family. Been getting food at both their Mastic Beach and Patchogue locations since I first moved down to island in 2008 and it is still my all time favorite hero joint in NY State, hands down, no joke. Even living in Albany and having enjoyed DiBellas, I still crave TJs. The Big Steer or Louisiana Lightning are two of their signature heros, and my all time favorites. Pretty much anything with their Stealth Sauce... totally awesome! I wish they would open up a joint in Albany...
Chicken pot pie soup is unbelievable Good. Clean and fast service. If your in the area its a must for an amazing lunch.

2022-06-04Been going to TJs since 2006 when I was in high school. I dont live there in town anymore but I still love grabbing a hero whenever Im in town.Best heroes, staff is great and food is always on point. Louisiana Lightning is the best and their chicken pot pie soup is amazing. Have used their catering for work and everyone always loves it. They do a great job and the portions are 👌. I love grabbing their heros before a beach trip for a picnic. Thank you guys always!

2022-05-26I literally just had a sandwich from there this morning. I truly do adore this place! The staff are very nice and the food is to die for (thanks for the BBQ chicken sandwich with extra bacon last week!!), and their store Iced teas at the counter are delicious! I definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

2022-03-30Quick, clean, delicious. Normally I like my Reuben on rye but this was easily the best rueben Ive ever had. I didnt think a Reuben could get any better but this place proved me wrong. Im not a local but a local took me here and now I recommend it to anyone visiting. Subway, get bent. TJs reigns supreme.

2018-05-10Delicious heros...soups...3ft. long...6ft long...daily specials...some of my favorites are the Manhattan...the Scalibur...their home made iced tea is the best!...the lobster bisque soup is to die for...nice area...super clean...outdoor patio seating with three tables with unbrellas and a couple of nice chairs...2 large screen TVs...separate ladies and mens restroom...call your order and theyl have it ready for you...take credit cards...Wednesdays BOGO half off heros...nice large bright place...nice music...plenty of free parking...cater to parties
