Toasted in other cities:
An incredible culinary experience. At the suggestion of the chef, I chose the grilled chicken sandwich. It has only four ingredients, which is risky because theres no margin for error. Execution was flawless: tender chicken, creamy hummus, flavorful red cabbage slaw, on a daily baked local baguette. Beautifully simple.
I had the pleasure of visiting this gem. Everyone we came into contact with was professional and friendly. We were there for the last comedy night of the season and my only negative is I just found them now. Would have loved to be able to attend more evening fun. Thank you for the best night out in a long time. We will be back!
Tried to order my sandwich with something other than focaccia bread and there were no other options causing the bread to diminish any tenderness or texture the beef on it may have had. Also, they dont have a paper menu or something posted makeing it difficult for people not having mobile devices or perhaps a little bit older (like my dad) to order. Decor is cute and is is very clean. Staff is very nice.

2022-02-11Sam and the team at Toasted are amazing. I guarantee any time you walk into this place, you will be getting an excellent meal. The atmosphere is hip, and the backyard is the spot to be in Newburgh on a Friday or Saturday night. I cant wait for the summer to enjoy some more evenings at Toasted.

2022-04-23The fried oyster mushroom sandwich was delicious! You can make it vegan by just getting sriracha instead of sriracha Mayo. Staff was also very nice!

2021-11-06The staff are so lovely and efficient, the food is super DELISH, and the cocktails are well-balanced. Brussel sprouts and butternut squash soup were exactly what I needed for a misty fall evening. Fried chicken sandwich with fries was perfect. Apple torte dessert was excellent. Highly recommend for lunch and dinner!

2021-11-15If you haven’t eaten here yet, you’re missing out. It’s very clear the staff cares about providing quality service. You can tell the ingredients are fresh. The burger, fried chicken sandwich and hanger steak sandwich are out of this world. The ambiance is ideal. Very clean dining area with beautiful decor.

2022-06-20Fried chicken sandwich is their biggest draw. Its ok, nothing to slap mama about, but tasty. Soup needs work. New larger space.

2022-04-02WORST Restaurant Week meal and experience Ive ever had. The inside is tiny. My 6:30 time did not include a seat inside; I sat alone outside (another couple were seated outside shortly after me) in the courtyard with a heater on a metal chair with a metal table with plastic utensils, nothing on the table (had to ask for water and salt and pepper), froze (47 degrees), and had a $40 pre fixe meal that was just bad - leek and potato soup that tasted like nothing - not even potatoes; a good beet/goat cheese salad, and a grilled chicken entre with burned grilled chix on guacamole with another salad. My waiter, Samuel, tried his best - compd me a short clear plastic glass of wine, but I will NEVER be back to this restaurant. Truly not the restaurant week experience I was hoping for. $50 with tip for basically bad pub food. I tipped Samuel 20% - it wasnt his fault, but I will never do this again. Never.I could have had a spectacular meal for the same price in New York City at the Glass House Tavern. This place in Newburgh is lucky I gave them one star.

2021-10-23Came here for lunch with my 5 year old daughter. Off the bat not a great place for a little person as the options are totally more geared for adults. However, the waiter was able to accommodate her as best as possible. So we had the fried chicken sandwich and it was amazing. We opted for regular Mayo and fresh mozzarella. I think when we go again I may need to opt for slice bread as well cause the baguette was to big for her mouth. Other then that it was great. Sam was super friendly. I will totally come back with my daughter.

2021-09-11Wow what a great little restaurant this is. Stopped by for lunch today and had the vegetarian fried oyster mushroom sandwich. This was perhaps the best surprise meal I have eaten this year. Really amazing. Friendly staff, cute little cafe. Definitely put this on your places to try out!

2021-07-22Stopped here for lunch while driving up 87. The staff was so friendly. We had the vegetarian fried “chicken” (mushroom) sandwich and the peach salad. Sandwich was a little on the salty side but otherwise very good. Cute place.
