I give it five stars hamburger I had was done excellent the fries were excellent the service was good coffee cup was filled until I told her I had enough waitresses the friendly thats a good place to stop and I had a quick brunch with my son in the grandson not a bad place to stop for a quick bite thank you for your
We love this diner! Compared to the upscale place across the street, the Colony, its ambiance and staff is super! Dont waste your money there! Toms makes an awesome lasagna and Greek food. The same owner as the Greek place on the water in Dunkirk. Give it a try! They could use the business these days!
Tom’s is completely unpretentious; it won’t catch your eye from the road. But stop anyway. There is a reason it is a favorite with the locals. We came in on Wednesday evening, roast beef special night. We both had it. Service was fast and friendly. The beef was delicious and tender, making me wonder why they even bothered to give us steak knives. No need! And the French fries, well, they were to die for. Perfectly crispy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside. Order them and gobble them up while they are hot. Perfection!
It had been more than 3 years since we were at Toms due to several bad experiences. However we tried it again and were very pleased. Fish Fry was great...excellent sides...fun and friendly great service. All the food we had was was excellent and were big portions. Even had a excellent piece of peanut butter pie. We will be back...happy whatever the change was that took place.
Amazing! The Cowboy chicken sandwich was simply incredible. Portions are very generous. Our server was very attentive and charming. We went there just because it was close and were very surprised at how very good this place is. We will be coming back again this weekend.
For an unassuming ,local place this is a gem. Lunch was terrific. Intriguingly excellent accompaniments to my fried fish included exceptionally tasty Cole slaw and pasta salad. You think you know Slava and pasta salad? Not like these. Superior. Food was fresh, perfectly cooked and priced right.Great service at noon on a Friday.
Great down home meals; liver and onions, meatloaf, Mac n cheese, etc. Food was hot, tasty and large portions. Atmosphere was also warm and friendly. Good customer service, waitress was Attentive. Bathroom spotless! And a great price. Check them out. I had the mac n cheese and liked it, way to much for one person to eat. Ill go back.
I wasnt impressed in the slightest... For starters they WHERE COMPLETELY SHORT STAFFED. Our waitress must have forgotten all about us, since it was just me and my grandma. I had to ask the other waitresses who were working even harder for things our server said she was coming right back with... In all seriousness, go to Aunt Millies... They are right near them and 110% better...
Worth getting off the highway! We are headed to Boston from Chicago and I was so glad to find this place. I couldn’t take another fast food rest stop. I had the roast beef and it was excellent! Portions are good. Waitstaff was great. So many delicious looking desserts to choose from. Coffee tasted fresh at 8pm. Everyone left full and happy.
My dad and I stopped here for a quick lunch after a long morning moving some heavy furniture across town. The place is small with some outdated decor but very friendly staff. They have a very simple diner menu. I tried the chicken sandwich with fries. The food was pretty standard for a diner like restaurant. It wasnt the best chicken sandwich Ive ever had but it certainly was far from being the worst. I had a good time chatting with my dad in a simple restaurant. Sometimes simple is best.
We stopped through on our way back home to Nashville. Honestly the best food we have had on our entire vacation, for half the price. Low key place. They serve breakfast all day, the coffee is great and our waitress was awesome. You have to stop in and try the guava pastry. Oh my gosh its delicious!
I grew up in Angola. I moved to Arizona just before the Safe act. I finally made it home, and everything has changed, I was actually really disappointed in everything. The food was OK. But not how I remember it. However the staff was amazing. Great attitudes, and made me feel back at home.
I ordered the turkey dinner which they charged $16.00 for it came with no roll or veggie, and the soup my husband got a cup of soup that was more like goop he had to add beef stock to it and the salt was insane! Yuck I gave mine to the dog, and we got 10 fingers and a side of fries $48.25!! Overpriced!! Horrible quality!!
I live in Erie PA. I eat at Tom’s at least one a month when I am out that way. My favorite meal is their Liver N Onions. Not too many restaurants offer it on their menu. Theirs is so good. They serve 2 generous pieces of Liver, most times I have to ask for a to go container. I also order their Greek Potatoes, which is wonderful. You have to try Tom’s Family Restaurant. You won’t be sorry. You might find yourself going back again and again.
Was there Wednesday 3/27 and I will never return .. Wasnt busy at all mybe 3 tables had people at them ..we had to wait to be seated (7 min) then another 12 min. Just to order drinks which took 15 min. To get then 24 min. To order our food and 42 min to get it.. I ordered the spaghetti dinner w garlic bread well when the food came it was spaghetti noodles with tomato soup poured on top as the sauce w parsley sprinkled over it.. Absolutely disgusting .. All 3 of our orders (mine my husbands roast beef sandwich and daughter chocolate pancakes ) were cold.. The service was horrible to be nice , food was disgusting and while our waitress was more concerned about take out (phone orders) orders the other 2 waitresses were doing absolutely nothing and were not helpful at all.. We have been patronizing this reataurant for 11 plus yrs and will not be returning. And would not at this point recommend anyone to go there after this experience.. $41.06 waste of money ...smh
Normally, I would rate this restaurant at a five star. My last visit, the order was totally forgotten, as it was notice we had been sitting at the table for quite sometime with basically our drinks almost gone by then. The waitress admitted to the mix up, but then proceeded to tell us about her bad day. We all have bad days, but it should not interfere with your job. I do not intend to return anytime soon.
Toms has some amazing specials (no one makes potato pancakes that good). Ive visted toms every now and again for the past 10 years and have only had 1 unsatisfied encounter with staff in which i was given a gift certificate. Great food, grrat service, nice quiet family dinning
Toms isnt a fancy place youre in Western New York. Its down home its nice its clean, its friendly. Theyll fill your plate full of food and its reasonably priced. They have good hours decent food. There are 2 or 3 other places in the area that Id rather not go to simply because their seatings too crowded and their food is a little bit more expensive and not any better than Toms
Small Town Diner. Exactly what I am looking for. While the Latham Circle Diner and the Half Moon Diner have lots of options, they are way too big for me. I really appreciated every single thing about this location. The staff was kind and made you feel like more than just a number. And the prices were extremely affordable. I will be returning with my entire family. Thank you for existing Toms!
We love Toms. Toms is a great place for dinner when I dont have time to cook or just feel like eating out. Luckily, we live nearby and you can find us there a couple times a week. Great homecooked food, fantastic service and reasonable prices. The servers make you feel like family and the owner (Bob) can be seen talking to the customers and making sure everyone feels welcome! A personal favorite!!!
A few months ago our group, Special Spaces Buffalo, stopped in to have a bite to eat after visiting with 2 children who were going to have a bedroom makeover from us. The food was delicious and the service was excellent (thank you Moxie!). At that time we asked if they would be able to donate lunch to our volunteers during the makeover...they said yes! We would like to thank them for not only providing, but delivering too, lunch to us for both days of the makeover! You are a part of what makes WNY a great place to live!
Stop there every year on my way to Maine. You cant say you have had pie till you have eaten at Toms. Its taller than the cups and every bite is insainly good. Make your tongue beat your brains out! The 1/2lb Angus burger is amazing as well. Also just a short stroll to a beautyfull view of lake Erie. A must see hidden treasure.
I was driving from Dunkirk to Buffalo and stopped for a bite. As I enjoyed my coffee, I noticed the waitress sit and speak with a customer. By the conversation it was obvious that the man had lost his wife. Her kindness was one of the nicest things I have ever seen a waitress do - it made my day to see her ease his burden . Kudos to her and to Toms!!!
Ordered the Pea soup, BLT on Whole wheat with mayo, he had fried chicken and the pea soup. The soup was soo Thick the spoon stayed upright in the cup. Both sent back got turkey noodle instead. Flavorless, I ate mine because I was hungry. He ate half of his. My whole wheat was white and salad dressing, not mayo. I wasnt sending back so ate half and took half home. Be awhile before I go back.
Had a bad prime rib when we went there with the family. Told 3 waitresses, including owners mom....NOTHING. They brought us a take out box so we took it home to the dog. I was upset and called owner, BRANDY, who said she would leave me a gift certificate for the problem. Went back later and No one knew anything about it and no gift certificate was there for me. We WERE regulars there, not any more.
Got here was seated and then waited 15 mins just to get a soda cause the waitress was talking the food sucks my girlfriend had a hair in her wrap this place is a freaking joke the food has no flavor whats so ever my burger was over cooked and dry the French onion soup didnt even taste like onions how does that work and they use Swiss cheeses on top of it what the hell is that they got a bucket in the middle of the floor cause the ceilings leak why not fix it the floors were filthy straw wrappers laying on the floors it was a very bad experience will never go back that place needs serious help and needs someone that knows how to cook
It took an hour from placing our order to receive it the waitress didnt care at all she took our drink order and as soon as the name was said just stopped listening then came back and threw 4 straws on the table literally threw them at the center of the table the roast beef on weck the entire plate was covered in a quarter inch of juice and the roll looked like they soaked it in the juice entirely soggy mush , my niece ordered a milkshake and was in a regular size glass which would have been fine if it wasnt basically just milk Maybe a spoonful of ice cream. The chicken fingers were the size of a childs meal, the waiter was nice but not punctual ask for a refill your waiting 5 to 10 minutes for it... They werent slammed either, also there were a bunch of flies flying around and ants crawling around of the floor that didnt look like it had been swept all day , the bathroom was disgusting there was poop all over the toilet seat it was an overall bad experience I highly do not recommend eating here
My roast beef sandwich is called a Beef Welk with aujus in the bun with coarse salt bun and caraway seed its amazing. They recommend horseradish and mustard so that is how I am having it. Its delicious!I am not from the area this appears to be a local specialty in New York.

2022-05-10The food was good but the waitress was more interested in making conversation and not paying attention to our order.(second time this has happened ) I never did receive half of my order and we were charged for 3 meals instead of 2. You can go down the road for a better meal and pay $18.00 less and they get it right. This restaurant has gone done hill a lot since covid.

2022-04-22Had a HUGE delicious Greek salad w/chicken n pita. Lil skimpy on the chicken but its to be expected I suppose with the rising prices. Its nice to look at the aquariums while there. Friendly staff.

2021-07-29After a few hours at Sunset Bay Beach, in the sun, we decided to find a place elsewhere to eat, opting out of Cabana Sams this trip. LITERALLY 25seconds away ( my 8yr old announced) up the road at the light, you see Toms restaurant on the corner. A Gem in Plain sight. Plenty of different seating arrangements inside, great food choices and taste to go along with decent prices. Not overly priced at all. We loved their kid menu. The staff was friendly and personable. The air conditioning was another added plus. Must Stop for anyone looking for that old school restaurant dining experience, meaning, no wait, peaceful environment, and even better food. Thanks again for the vegetable dish, Ratatouille.

2022-04-22We were disappointed this time. No of the food was hot (or even warm). My fish fry was extremely greasy, the baked potato was cold (the butter didnt even melt. He got a Cuban the meat was thick and fatty. He couldnt even eat the 2nd half of the sandwich.

2019-06-25This place was GREAT! We stopped here on our route home to NW Ohio from Niagara Falls. Just Google searched places on our way. The location was perfect for our travels and it looked and sounded good. We were greeted the second we walked in. We were seated quickly and had our sodas in a flash. Our waitress was Tara and she provided great service. I had the Reuben sandwich (on wheat instead of rye) with French fries. The sandwich was AMAZING and the fries were cooked PERFECTLY. My partner had the chicken breast sandwich with fries and said both were very good. Prices were very decent and the quality of food was good. The atmosphere was cozy and I felt very comfortable. The bathrooms were also clean and presentable. Too bad its so far from home, because I would come here regularly. I HIGHLY recommend this place if you want something different, hot, and down home type food. We were quite happy we chose this stop. Thanks for making our dreading vacation is over trip so much better!!
