Great been going there for years! Richard the owner is a nice guy! Only thing that kinda stinks is everything is a little more $$$ from CV19! But thats okay they are on the water so taxes are a bit more higher! All the food is homemade! You can bring in your own beer if you want and they are also pet friendly and have live bands almost every weekend!
Food was terrible I ordered fish and chips with homemade fries no way homemade old and soggy fish was served in pieces cool spot for drinking and music thats it eat before you go.
Went to Toomeys this afternoon and sat at the outside bar (the boat). The atmosphere and view of the water is great! Theresa the bar tender was amazing and funny. The band Two Guys with Guitars played great music! As we were leaving, the owner bought us an ice cream from an ice cream truck parked in front. Such a nice experience! ❤️ We look forward to coming back!
Great local get away on the canal. Traditional Bar food. Awesome outside area with a beachy boat canal decor. The owner is great, hands on, and friendly. Live music inside and out. Much fun for All.
I had boneless wings which were pretty good. I opted for the Hot as I like spicy foods and it did not disappoint. The Titos Arnold Palmer was good. The views of the water were great. I will be back to try more of this menu.
Only came for drinks but this place seems as if it has a ton of potential and will be back to try!
This place is pretty cool. The wings and the burgers are great. The staff is incredible. Live bands and an occasional DJ.

Came here this past Saturday for a little birthday celebration with friends. Carolyn made this bigger reservation a breeze and Ann was an amazing waitress. They made sure they took care of us! Amazing food and even better atmosphere! The live band was amazing as well!!
I met some friends for lunch before work on a Saturday around 1 p.m. We sat at the bar and enjoyed ourselves and our food. The Bartender was efficient and friendly. It is a great place to grab a bite and catch up with friends. I cant wait to go back when the weather warms up steadily. They provide outside seating and entertainment. Looking forward to enjoying that. Maybe even working there.

One of my all time, long time, favorite local spots. Outdoor dining in the summer time, right on the water, warm & cozy locals place in winter. Food is generally good ol bar fare...Fish tacos are exceptional. Lisa the bartender rocks!!
I use to come to toomeys all the time with my best friend but while we were enjoying our drinks and 10 minutes into our dinner, this young girl who works there was hysterically crying and Lisa behind the bar was screaming at her so loud you could hear her from a mile away, not to mention the manager or whoever he was, was hammered out of his mind who joined the bartender and made that girl cry even more. talk to your employees in private, not where the whole restaurant could hear it. very unprofessional.

Excellent food, drinks, and service. Their mozzarella sticks are fresh/homemade and probably the best I’ve ever had. Their bartender Patty is a sweetheart and the entire staff are very friendly. I park my boat at their dock and it’s always a fun time. Would recommend this place to anyone.
Fantastic lunch spot, we dined on the dock with wonderful weather and a happy, friendly & funny waitress.. she was fantastic and everyone in our party loved her and all of the food was delicious, drinks were delivered quickly and they have coffee !! 😍I wandered in craving crab cakes and a mudslide but those arent available here, plenty of other seafood and drinks are available along with other items on the menu.. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Terrible experience…once we were seated it took about 15 minutes till we were even acknowledged, ordered drinks which also then took forever to get…processed to order appetizers which never came out.waitress went to check and never came back, food and appetizers were brought out together not the service I expected..especially for the what my bill cost.

Literally the worst service ever from Natalie. We came here for drinks and food and got only one order of drinks because our server ignored or forgot about us the entire time while everyone else got served by other servers- multiple rounds and food in the same hour and a half we killed. Wanted to like this place but I’ll pass next time.
Under new ownership. This was 1st time there. Laid back, Dog friendly in outside area. Food is pretty good menu is only a bit beyond bar food in my opinion. Love music. Service was a bit slow. 1st drink came asap. 30 min passed before he paused table side to take order. Drinks were m/t in 1st 5 min. Didnt get refill until we tried to just go to the bar and get it ourselves. Over all nice place to put a little pop in your lazy Sunday dockside.

New ownership, its changed hands a lot over the years name an location the same. But world of difference. Its got by on great location and atmosphere, now it has an amazing atmosphere and food and service. Check it if u have shyed away i the past or havent experienced it. Long island water front is rare for a good bar experience, definitely hit the mark. If u dont like check out jack across the street.
The most frozen food Ive ever had in my life. Got fish and chips and received frozen cut up fish bites like the ones you get from the store. The fries I make at home are better than what they had. The drinks taste like nothing too. Unfortunate for the cute setup they have.

Great summertime spot - sort of a biergarten atmosphere, picnic tables outside, cornhole, palm trees with christmas lights, and live music next to the canal. Boat spaces are limited so call ahead if youre planning to dock and eat to make sure they have bulkhead space. Food is reasonably priced, with large portions and a notch above standard bar fare - try the HUGE fresh-baked pretzel or the baked clams, especially.

This is a neat little pub down on the water in Amityville. It is a local place that has good food, good drinks, and great service, all at a great price. The shrimp cocktail was the size of small chicken wings!

What can I say about Toomeys... too many good experiences to think otherwise... owner is very friendly awesome guy, awesome place to be at.. great place to go in the summer and even in winter time they’re still open and kickin.. highly recommend for a great burger and great food as well. 2022-04-13This is the restaurant I’ve been looking for for years! Waterfront, causal, fun atmosphere, good food, outdoor seating, and nice servers. We celebrated my husband’s birthday on Saturday night. I can’t wait to go back.

2022-02-22I travel for a living, due to the holiday I was stuck in Farmingdale for a extra day. I found Toomeys on google maps,checked out their reviews and photos. I knew that was the place I wanted to visit. I am so glad that I did. The bartender was very sweet, the local guys (patrons) were awesome. The minute I walked in they all knew I wasnt from around there. I guess my Texas accent gave me away. Lol. But what a great warm welcome I received from everyone there. I really enjoyed my visit. The view ,the fish tacos and atmosphere was beyond great. I plan to visit again when ever Im on the Island.

2018-08-30Love this place! Great food and drinks on the water at a reasonable price, unheard of around here. Quite a few spots for docking a boat but must get there early, they do fill up. Love the love bands during the summer.

2018-10-26Awesome place; friendly atmosphere...it’s a hidden gem and a place that is from a genuine by gone era when pubs were down to earth and not snooty.If you’re looking for some fine grub, good conversation, friendly staff, and beer- like the real stuff, not some IPA micro brew- sorry if that’s your thing, it’s all good, but I just like a nice cold Miller High Life...and oh, it’s pretty cool to be on a canal surrounded by actual working marinas- so few of these locations are left as they are sold off to high end development and fancy restaurants.Don’t let this lull you into thinking the food isn’t quality- it is!They often have fantastic life music.Summer might be their prime season but I’m just as happy being there in the off season.Take a gander down there and enjoy!If my review was helpful please consider selecting the thumbs up button.Thanks!
