Not much to love about this grocery store. The prices seem to be the highest in the area, and the selection is not great. They dont carry a lot of brands that you can find at other stores of this size, and the stock on the shelves for popular items always seems empty unless you go there on the day they get a truck in.Its also EXTREMELY annoying they lock the door where the carts are after 9 or 10pm. I get it, they do it for security reasons, but how about just having more surveillance on that side of the store, or an extra employee with their eyes open?I cannot verify this, but it seems like they raise the prices on items before a sale to make you think you are getting a good deal, when really you are not. For example the recent buy two, get four free! sale they had on Schweppess seltzer water - the sale price was $7.29 each, but if you go to a place like target or walmart, they sell these for only $3 each regular price. So really, you are not saving any money at all.
I was in the Baldwinsville, NY Location where I encountered Rose. A cashier who was very RUDE in the store thats supposed to be Friendly. How is that possible? I am apolled at how I was treated today. Shame on Tops for having such unfriendly Associate.
Great produce and selection of brand name and generic brands of food. Fresh flower department greets you ar the door, next to large , fresh produce of all types including exotic fruits and vegetables. Staff carefully seem to move and freshen products. Organic fruit and vegetables available. Self weighing and UPC scanner printer is great and time saver. Seafood dept is very good and meat butchers are excellent. Bakery is excellent. Deli is excellent offering fresh made pizza , subs, sandwiches etc. Very convenient. Pharmacy onsite also but Ive never used it. ATM onsite, Coinstar, lottery ticket self serve machine and Redbox. Probably more Im missing but can get everything in 1 stop
Over priced, too small for the community, mens room always smells of urine and many of the employees are not friendly.

The worst experience I have ever had with trying to get fish dinners. When I arrived there was 2 people ahead me waiting on orders. After about 15 minutes the women in front of me was finally asked if she had a call in order. She did and finally received her order. At this point I was first in line. At no point did anyone ask me what I wanted. After 39 minutes I just left. Very poorly organized. Need better timelng on their call in orders. Looked like the keystone cops behind the counter. Might try again next week with a call in order.
Wanted to love it here as it’s a lot nicer than a lot of Tops markets and much bigger and i was loving it until my boyfriend and I went through self checkout, did two separate transactions but used the same reusable bag. Got accused of stealing and after showing our receipts, no apology was given, just more attitude as if we were in the wrong. As someone who has worked in customer service I try not to let things like that get to me as we all have bad days but being accused of not paying for our items is humiliating, especially for two people who did pay.
Expensive as all get out. How can you justify selling 6-packs of soda for $8 each and claim savings with a BOGO or Buy 2 get 4 free? You can still have sales like that but at least price the soda fairly for those who only want a single 6-pack of soda for themselves?
This store has a variety and an assortment of foods to pick from very well stocked and the help are very helpful and courteous its just another shopping experience it will take you awhile to go through all the departments that they have in this store , and its in a plaza which means theres a lot of different stores to see,IF you have not shop at Tops in baldwinsville New York give it a try you will be surprised
Its a TOPS they have a decent selection.
Produce department wasnt very stocked for a mid afternoon shopping trip... and the vegetables didnt look very fresh. Unfortunately Tops is very hit or miss with fresh produce.
This store is our go to as close to our neighborhood. They have revamped the store and have many specialty items with good prices. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially cashier Kathy. They take time to tell or show you where items are and have good sale specials. The store is clean and well stocked.
Tops is nice. This ones bigger than the one i usually go to. It makes me like it better.... but I cant justify driving allllllllllllllllllll that way just to shop at this nicer one. So I will have to only come on special occasions. Maybe weekends and holidays. My life will be complete as long as I may visit. In all seriousness though.... this is store, store has food, good store, simple.
Jan. 2021. Pharmacist behind the counter not wearing masks. When I mentioned it to one pharmacist She did cover her face. The other one behind the counter did not.Dec. 2020. Person behind the deli counter had his mask below his nose. ...... customers did not have face coverings or their nose covered.Customers allowed in the store with no masks, not asked to leave.
Have had many issues with my families insurance for years (who hasnt), but the staff here is very helpful ,upbeat,and always ready to lend a hand anyway they can. Ive had very good service there for years now with every staff member. But i wanted to reach out today and praise an employee who not only took the time to assist me over the phone in the busiest time of the day today, friday. She not only fixed my insurance issues but got my prescription properly filled per my PCP directions. Thanks you so much Meghan!!!!!!! The selection at this TOPS is both varied and quality, having choices that even some of the Wegmans around here dont offer. Living close by, I find this location extremely convenient for a quick shopping trip for necessities. The place has always been clean and tidy when Ive visited, and rarely full or too busy to comfortably navigate.If this review was helpful, please consider a thumbs up. Went to this store on Saturday June 13 approximately 3:30 PM. Who ever the woman is that was working customer service should really find a different job. Completely rude, disregarding of pleasing customers. Do yourself a favor Tops....remove her immediately if you value your company.
I am local and use to go there several times a week until now. Went to customer service to get some single bills just brake a 20.00. When you rude person said they wont make change. What happened to customer service, i had shopping to do but chose to go to another store and spend my money. I never go back but I am sure they dont care.
I love the Baldwinsville TOPS market. My daughter was having her baby shower and we needed 12 large balloons blown up. Lori went above and beyond the call of duty! Thanks Lori you made the situation so less stressful and you were so great about it all! Thank you so much.

There is usually adequate parking. The selection in the store is not extensive it didnt matter at level. There generic brand is fairly expensive, and as far as prices go I think they are above average. Sometimes it seems like the people that work there do not care.
There was a lady in the bakery department that was more than willing to make me a two layer cake the morning I called. It was a last-minute switch for a smash cake photoshoot for my daughter and I couldnt be more than happy with the cake that they made. I had called other local stores and there they were unable to do this on such short notice. I will definitely be coming back to the store because of this womens amazing customer service!
The beer selection is the best of any store near baldwinsville. The grocery prices even with the store card is a bit too much.
What an unsafe parking lot! One little light lights up the parking lot! This is NOT safe, I was almost hit because someone blew the stop sign as they probably couldn’t see or speeding or just don’t care. Get more lights!! Someone can easily snatch up a child, adult or hurt someone by theirs vehicle at night in this parking lot. Safety needs to be rethought our! This store is unorganized, the health stuff by non health stuff and vise versa.
Saw the review that says bad things about the Pharmacy and that Phil is a drunk. I have NEVER seen any signs of that. My family has been using this Tops Pharmacy for more than 5 years, and we really like it. Both Phil and Megan are great, have never given us any worries and have helped us with information when we needed it.As to not many people using the pharmacy, I dont believe it. My only problem with this Tops Pharmacy is that I sometimes have to wait because people are at the counter a lot. I usually go do my shopping and come back, and can get in then, but sometimes I have to check back a couple of times while shopping until they are free.We like the pharmacy at the Tops on Downer Street. Only reason I dont give the store 5 stars is that they are often out of a few items we want to get, that they should be restocking more often. Specifically, they sometimes are out of prunes, raisins, or other day-to-day things.
Just stopped by here. All the doors were closed and I figured they had shut down for the night. Not a problem. As I was walking back to my car I saw the employees let other customers in. But when I walked back to the entrance they had been shut and locked again. Figure it out. Wont shop here again.
Dying down or maybe dead by now. It was an eyesore and never truly updated. Good location but it gave you the run down feel.The employees were always helpful and at least they seemed to have an adequate number of registers open which many places dont.
I.realy like tops there fresh vegetables. Are really fresh helpfully service. But most of all they care about your foods .they dont throw your purchases in the cart.an least of all not on top of bread /chips/eegs/fresh veggies ,if so I would walk out an let them restock them see when your in the store you load your cart like cans milk laundry soap all in the bottom of the cart that is the last things off bread eggs and chips veggies are lathe first things off so when there throwing your food in the cart what do they throw in first yup the things you try to keep people from getting smashed //// NOT AT&T TOPS I like tops

The young man at the check out was less than useful. I handed him my coupons as He started to ring up my purchases, he put them down and continued tallying up my bill. I asked him about my coupons and he says youll have to get them redeemed at the service counter! I am sorry, but I am not only old, I am disabled. It is hard enough for me to shop without walking extra steps because some young person wasnt doing his job! Igor was not only poorly trained, he was also rude. Maybe before turning someone loose to deal with customers, they should have someone work with them until they KNOW what they are doing.
As a member of the lifetime need to visit the pharmacy monthly club (my oldest child has type one diabetes) I absolutely love this location! Nothing but kindness and a wealth of information provided by not only the regular pharmacists but the fill in ones also. Ive sent many people to that pharmacy from theirs and they all thank me every time I see them for sending them there.
Great produce, great selection of organic/gluten free foods, with friendly staff, and a nice, clean store. Would give five stars, but I have to give three because its pretty pricey. Other than that, I love it!
Pretty sure they turn their freezers down too low at night. Dont buy frozen garlic bread here, it is always stuck together. Also they run out of things often. Even in the bakery.
Its ok because it is right there. But it is more expensive than almost any other of its competitors and the employees definitely enjoy talking with each other more than the customer in front of them. Better step your game up with Aldi going in 500 feet from your door.

Tops is a matter of convenience,the prices are high,and most likely why they are hurting,people would buy volumes ,if the prices were lower,not that its a bad place,upper management has wiped it out,Tops took over Penn Traffic and that company was cursed,but it seems Tops is following suit,there are so many successful grocery chains,so how do you fail at selling something so vital to human life,I would have to as the guy making $5 million a year to drive the Titanic into the Ice Berg.
Such a treat after years of suffering with the train-wreck Tops in Skaneateles. Clean and friendly staff. Multiple open registers. Skaneateles Tops would be good to visit and take notes. I’ll be back!
Tops, there are many words could use to describe this place, the word I will use is spectacular! They have beer chips healthy foods, cake, bread, baking supplies, shower supplies, and many other kinds of supplies. Go Tops!

The employees at my Topps arent as helpful or as friendly as they used to be. I really think they are being over-worked due to the pandemic.
Its convenient and the employees are very nice. The lay out of the isles are alittle confusing, and the price is alittle more expensive but it is way better than going to walmart.

2022-05-10Couple months ago, I did a two star rating for this store. My story I posted was done at the wrong time and I gave a review when I was mad. My rule is dont review something that happened 2 seconds ago. Good or bad.This place is still my hometown store. They are a struggling supermarket, battling stiff competition, but they are still fighting.I love the employees. I do, I just think the staff is well maintained. During the day, you got your grinders. The ones who show up everyday and just kill their responsibilities. They do a remarkable job, and its starting to show up more and more as the store improves daily. Nighttime brings in the younger staff. Bright, young kids who just wanna make that money. Positive attitudes, and they really do want to help customers. Another reason the store gets my new review.They are showing improvement, and I tip my cap. Prices are still too high. Nobody wants to buy 10 packets of taco seasoning for 10 bucks. That whole 10 for 10 needs to go.

2022-05-10Downer Street Pharmacy: Outstanding service! Tammy and Michelle really go the distance to ensure your satisfaction. They talk to you like your their neighbor, not a number. If only other places that receive our monetary funds for services provided were as respectful and professional as those provided by TOPS Pharmacy, the world just might be a better place.

2022-06-10Prices are generally higher than Wegmans and Walmart. Clean store staff is 50/50. Ive had wonderful cashiers and miserable ones. Watch the labeling of prices if they miss a sale markdown they will try to ignore the fact they must sell it at that price. Its caught me off guard and wasnt the whoppers faults but the staffs.

2022-02-19Only Place I Like To Shop!! It just stinks that Fulton Ny. Doesnt have a Tops anymore. So now I have to drive to BVille To Do All My Grocery Shopping. Cause I Only Like Tops Supermarkets for All My Meats. Cause They ALWAYS have The Best Quality Meat Selections to choose from.

2022-02-03Everything is usually great except the donuts. Went there and bought a dozen the other day and they were all over fried but the plain glaze donuts. My mom and I ate maybe 2 each before we couldnt eat anymore.Disappointing.

2022-01-10Consistently the worst deli in all of Syracuse. First off the quality of the meats is very bad, they overstock the pre-cut meat that no one wants and they get an attitude when you ask for fresh cut meat which when you get home smells like its rotten. And apparantly thin means thick when you ask for thinly sliced meat. Horrible staff and Ill never go back here again. It was bad enough for me to waste my time leaving this review.
