Every Sunday after 7:45 morning worship Marilyn and I always have a little shopping to do, but once we get to Tops Market on Jefferson Avenue go in and see its only two cash registers open with fifteen other customers shopping. Theres always only two cash registers open with a very long line of others waiting to check out. It takes one hour for my waiting in line. This is a terrible thing for me or any customers to wait one hour or two before getting checked out.
I like because the manager at tops had help me with the atm . because I had lose my $20 he was teaching me how to call to get the money back. And he also gave me gift card. That was so nice of him. Thank you
I love the new renovations that have occurred at the TOPS Markets Jefferson Avenue location; from the newly tiled walls and floors of the clean, remodeled customer rest rooms; to the self-serve registers for those who find this option more convenient. Also, the food is fresh, the variety of choices is great, and the free fresh fruit for kids is a nutritious plus for making the shopping experience with children more enjoyable, by offering healthy choices, and less stress for parents from fidgity kids! Additionally, (and most importantly), the service offered by employees is warm, inviting and helpful. Kudos for the positive improvements at TOPS MARKET ON JEFFERSON AVENUE!
WHOEVER RATES THIS PLACE 5 stars MUST BE ON METH. It’s as if the inventory is completely different from every other tops in buffalo. No self checkout. Dirty parking lot. Vagrants and vagabonds EVERYWHERE! It’s however the only market within 10 miles from my understanding. Why is this...? The cashiers could be friendly but the some of patrons make their days difficult. I hope with rejuvenation of Jefferson Avenue this TOPS market gets an overhaul. DISGUSTING!
Very nice store, employees very nice and very big store.
Well the last time it was a 1 only because I had to give it a star. I complained and it is improvingI just wish they would invest in cleaner shopping carts and a better vegan selection and fruit. Mirror the maple road products city folks like to eat healthy also.editing my review as of 3 17 19 they are redoing the store. The produce section has improved and the are adding more specialty item. I am told they are doing a section at a time. I also spoke to one of the new managers I think his name is Chris super friendly even chatted with me a few minutes so I am giving 3 stars now. I hope it will become a 5 Star tops.Update it now goes to one star. I really dont understand but lets start with the produce. Its summer height of the fresh fruit season. A few bruised necterines placed high on display and not worth the reach, same for the plums. strawberries are usually showing signs of fuzz. I fail to understand how the tops on Maple road can look amazing but Jefferson location.IDK different farmers? There is few healthy options I am told and I quote people in the area prefer more frozen processed foods Not sure who they asked. But lets move on I feel like I am annoying some of the cashiers. is my purchase bothering you ,I was literally asked dont you want to go to self serve.Noooooo if I wanted to I would.I always say Everytime is my last time, and until they change I will withhold my change.
Very clean and organized store, you can definitely find a variety of sports and workout equipment., Im sure this review should have been for Docks Sporting goods,
This store needs major improvements. There is NEVER more than 2 cashiers -for over 2 1/2 years- when I go shopping the line goes half way into the aisles and they just don’t try to get customers out they truly seem not to care :( I will update with photo once I go again
I dont normally come here to grocery shop, but I am now. They have great deals here and the staff is super helpful and friendly.
Ive never had a good experience there. Long lines, spoiled meats, bad produce and to top it all off, last time I was there, feces smeared all down the aisle. Thank you to a customer for warning me to watch my step. The staff were all chit chatting up front doing nothing about it. Ill never go there again.
The customer service here is horrible. They usually seem to only have one or two registers open, no matter how many people are in line. Its dark and dirty. Cashiers have personal conversations across the aisles while customers are waiting. Not a good experience.
This tops is never fully staffed all the register people are always eating and playing and talking they never have the time to even greet customers. If at all possible if you want a good shopping experience shop a different location.
Tiny store busy during lunch time and not enough cashiers to cash you out... No Express lane at that time... Always have my Chocolate chip Muffins Fresh!!
Very slow, do not have products in store....on sundays....the line for the dried chicken is ridiculous...you know how the crowd be, why not start frying the chicken earlier
Lines are almost always long! Most of the cashiers have nasty attitudes! I was asking one cashier a question I had to ask her 3 times while she ignored me and talked to another cashier about her not going to the Yo Gotti concert! The bathroom always horribly disgusting and out of something like soap, tissue, paper towels!
They dont label things correct it say one price then got to the register it was a different price.the service desk should have more than one cashier working i waited 25 minutes to pay a bill.
Only 2 registers open. I was standing in self service line & a man knew man in front of me so they decided to have conversation & 2nd man took advantage of friend in like to cut me. I literally had 2 objects to buy while both had carts!
This is buffalo. We support Tops in buffalo. But you can save a few bucks at Walmart. NO. THIS. IS. BUFFALO. DO NOT GO GENTLE INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT. RAGE, RAGE AGAINST THE DYING OF THE LIGHT. GO TO TOPS. GET A BONUS CARD. GET THEM SAVINGS. FEEL GOOD ABOUT SUPPORTING TOPS. TTTTHHHIIIISSSSS IIIIISSSSSS BBBBUUUUFFFFFAAAALLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Plus, like, they like the Bills. It’s a typical Tops. Things could be far cleaner and the employees could be a bit more helpful, but overall a nice store when needed.
The employees is rude, dont want to work, slow, high prices. All have a attitude, need to close it down
I find Tops Markets not only too expensive.....but Tops on Jefferson in Buffalo sell spoiled meat.....i have returned meat at least 3 × in the last two weeks.... needles to say i wont be purchasing anymore
Bottle machines always broken, in the morning theyll have 1 register open and have a line going half way down the Isle, The short supervisor girl with the glasses seems to be the only person who gives a damn about her job. This is by far the worst tops in NY. Wegmans has a new customer.
Service and the lines are horrible with always only 1 or 2 cashiers Everytime I go. Cashiers dont even greet you or say have a good day or thank you
They have a lot of sales but in the deli Department theres a lady that workes there that has a nasty attuide she shouldnt be working there other than her its a pretty nice place to shop. Good bargains!!!!

Quick in and out visit. I got what I needed. Cashier was friendly and professional. I was able to locate the items I wanted quickly.

The restrooms are disgusting . The extra tissue was on the toilet plunger and dirty. The tissue holder was broken, so was the hand dryer, no soap at all and no toilet seat covers.

2022-03-12Helpful employees. Never had an issue at this Tops location. Much smaller than most locations in the area. Not overcrowded. Prices are high but it’s like that at all Tops locations. Unfortunately, there are no other large supermarkets in the immediate vicinity.

2019-09-11I dont come to this location very much, but I can tell it has come a long way. This store is on the smaller side compared to the other Tops locations. Depending on the time of day, you can find yourself shoulder to shoulder with other customers. Its especially crowded on the busy days around the cash register area. As much traffic this location gets, they still keep the place very clean.

2019-10-20I dont normally come to this location unless I am in the area but when I do, it is always decent and fairly clean. The staff are pretty cool and everything is easy to find. People love to come for their fried chicken so definitely get there as soon as you can or else there may be a line. This is the case especially on Friday. Overall, a pretty decent Tops if you are around the area and need to stop in for a few things!!

2021-10-14Tops Supermarket located at 1275 Jefferson Ave 14208 specializes in frying chicken and only carrying things that the basic corner store carries management is above average but employees are the disgruntled theres an issue every day and more arguments than a Corner Bar........If you appreciate my review please like and share with others

2019-07-22We like this Tops. Its always well stocked and clean. The only complaint is that we wish they had more cashiers on duty, seems like there are only 2 to 3 lanes open at any one time.

2020-05-31Its a Tops close to me. I have had my wallet stolen from me in this Tops.Tops cameras suck, very pixelated couldnt hardly make myself out which is crazy. Police never showed after waiting on them for 2 1/2 hrs. Called 911 again she said there were no squad cars available but literally saw one at the light waiting for it to turn and kept driving. Had to go to police station next day to file report. Horrible experience

2018-10-14Gotta be 1 of the top slowest Tops in the nation, Unreal. The hot food department is pretty good I must say. They (Cust service, cashiers, managers gotta do better, new Top managerial help is definitely needed there. & corporate, tell em to smile more, even if its a fake 1. Sad.

2018-07-29Employees are rude and ignorant.. Not all but most.. Bathrooms are ALWAYS filthy. Has a habit of having poorly stocked shelves.. Lines are always long while managers sit and chat with other non working employees. If you need help youll be better of asking another customer instead of an employee.

2017-11-22When we first walked into the store we were greeted by the Red Cross people with the Bell very friendly as well as the security guard who was also very friendly had a smile on their face. My sister in law is the best we were grabbing Thanksgiving dinner sides the store was very organized and clean. He will be going there again thats for sure

2017-12-20I shop here everyday and I have bought plenty of rotten food from there. Their avacados are ALWAYS rotting out i have no clue how they have the audacity to sell those. There potatoes are usually rotting out too. Ive bought rotten breads from there and cheese. I think its time for someone in management to step their game up or soon health department will have something to do with this. They never have lanes open its always a long line. Workers will be closing their lane to check out when they see the other lanes are backed up like crazy. Ive never been a manager but i could do it better then anybody who is running this department now sadly. The workers are pretty friendly but thats about all this tops has going for them. Worst tops experience i ever had. And i still shop here everyday because i dont really have a choice
