Bought a parfait from the bakery on 1/16/19. It looked like there were two freshness stickers on the parfait. The top sticker had a sell by date of 1/20/19. I peeled the top one a bit, out of curiosity. The previous sticker said sell by 1/17/19. It appears they did this to extend the time they had to sell the items.I know that the parfait is still before its original sell by date... supposedly. Who knows if that was even the first sticker or container it was put in. I know its most likely fine.. its just a bit sketch that they would do that. You dont really know if what you purchased is actually fresh, or when it was actually made.Just a suggestion, if you work here. You should probably peel off the original sticker if youre gonna do something like that. Really hope yall dont sell old stuff just to avoid being wasteful though.
They have these great deals where you buy 2 get 3 free, whats not to like? They just started expanding their Organic but its Full Circle and they are not Cruelty Free with their cleaning products, so for me thats the only drawback. Love the store though
I have been shopping at this Tops Market on a regular basis for three years and using the self-checkout lane.Always had a good experience, until today. The woman whom was overseeing the self-check lanes must have been having a bad day but it does justify her condescending attitude towards me. I happened to have an expired coupon which was rejected by the scanner. All she had to say was, Sorry sir, this coupon is expired. But she continued to have the nerve to tell me what the date was in what I perceived as a snippy attitude. I am 53 years old. I know what the date is. I am not senile. After I was done shopping it still bothered me so I called the manager of that Tops store. He was very professional and apologized for my experience and promised to talk to the individual. I will still shop there but if you have an unprofessional interaction with an employee, say something.
Ok store. Clean, friendly, got what I needed. Prices could be better.
Store is a rip off. $15 dollars for a bag of walnuts. Went to Save a Lot and was $2.50. Watch out for the prices here.
The only thing I like about tops is that you go to Wegmans right after that. And you really see what real customer service is like. And meet people who care about there customers and getting the job done right. Great jobs Wegmans we appreciate all the hard work you all do.

When youre a Wwgmans weekly shopper like me, youre amazing how many other brands are out there other than Wegmans, and Tops has them all. I also think they have a great bakery and there sandwich hard rolls are some of the best on the planet...produce deli, seafood and meat department are just ok..
Regular supermarket with competitive prices. They have an organic/healthy section with a variety of products at fair prices. Produce is wonderful! The ambience is a little cold otherwise, a nice place to shop 😊
One of the worst tops Ive ever been to. Lack of stock in almost everything. Place is a mess. Produce is old ex. Broccoli was brow and pork was a greyish color. This store needs some serious help
I used to always shop at Tops, but in the last several years I prefer Market in the Square. If I need something particular I go to Wegmans (Fat Free cheese or Josephs lavash bread). Tops just doesnt draw me anymore. I have gotten my turkey for Thanksgiving there. They usually run a special where if you spend $50 the turkey is something like $.29/lb. You cant beat that!
Im not going to lie, I am a Wegmans shopper. I do, however, come to Tops when I want a variety of name brand items. Wegmans tends to sell only its own brand and maybe one other choice. They have an excellent selection of yogurt. They have a great price on bags of apples as well. I really love their Bakery, especially the pistachio muffins and the pastry hearts.
Right around the corner from home. Convenient! The bonus card helps save significant money.
Every week new cashiers in training . Why such a high overturn of employees? Stop the buy 2 and get 3free. Everyone knows you double the price and no one wants 5 of anything . Why do you force people to buy no less than 12 rolls of toilet paper? Not everyone has a place to store it. What happened to the bulk COOKIES? No one wants the tops brand. No wonder your store is always empty

As Ive said before, this is my go-to-place for great sale items and hard to find foods and baked goods in the area. Always courteous, employees are willing to help. Their meats are excellent also.
I really like Tops because they have very great quality food available. Their fresh produce is delicious and the prices are affordable. some of their food can be overpriced, but I get it since the food is high quality. definitely reccomend.
People are friendly, easier to find what I need compared to Wegmans. Not as big as Wegmans which makes it easier. Great sales although some of regular prices are higher than Wegmans.
Purchased a gift card which was not placed in my bag. Didnt realize it until I got home. I live 25 miles away from this store. Cashiers should be more reliable.

Deli is a joke. Stand around conversating instead of doing their jobs helping customers. Thats 2 days in a row I have come in and theyve ignored me when I come in damn near daily to grab something quick before work. Done with them, replace them all!
While Tops may lack the options of Wegmans, they do offer the best deals. Its a great place to do your shopping when you need the basics on a budget.
Very dated and not real clean. Fair produce and meat quality but the best bakery you could ask for! Most of the Staff is VERY friendly. Everyday prices not to good at Tops in general.

This is THE ABSOLUTE WORST Tops market i have EVER been to. (1) the deli counter guy looked like a disheveled bum with half of his hair hanging out the side of his hat. Get your act together! If you dont want to work, so be it, but dont ask for my WHOLE deli order and then proceede to get my 2 items WRONG! (2) upon check out, the kiddie car cart that YOU provide is too big to fit down the isle. And then I have to be the one to go all the way atound the bank of checkouts with the cart? Never again will I step foot in this store, even if its the last place in depew with a morsel of food.
Found everything that I needed. Store not as busy as parking lot shows.

Stopped by for a few things. Found the store clean as well as the mens rest room. My rule, if the rest room is clean then I feel good about where they store food is clean.
Would be great if they didnt chase the Uber & Lyft drivers out of the parking lot. They make them park away from the store. You can never locate your driver. Bad for business.

A very nice Tops store. They had a lot of the same products available at the Tops close to my house but a lot of other products as well. The store was set up differently than most other tops as well.

Just like all the other tops. They rarely have some of the produce that I need however. I also hate having to walk through the registers to get into the store late at night.
Only issue i have is, they have only 2or3 working electric carts. Im severely handicapped and has to wait 30to40 min for anither to be available and i was in a hurry. They need to realize there are thousands of disabled ppl,hundred per neighborhood im sure, plz be more accommodating

This market had the fixings we needed for a meal we had in a hotel. The food was fresh and good. We were very pleased.
On Saturday evening I called to place a take out order for Sunday at noon.My order was not done because the man who took my order did not put it in the correct place.He left it in Saturday orders not Sunday.So when I arrived my order...not made never again 😑

Tops is the grocery store I most often shop at. Easy store layout, good prices, prepared foods are good & reasonable.
Their store cleanliness is getting better. Their customer service is not quite Wegmans.

Its a supermarket, but I really come here to buy donuts for Sunday mornings -- they are really good and fresh.
I was sad to see they stopped stocking my favorite hummus, but thats alright, my heart will go on.

Ultra rude service.They cheat customers a lot. Marking up prices to put them on sale to make you think youre getting a deal, but youre either paying the same or possibly more.Dont ask any worker a question if you dont want to get mad because youre being ignored.Standing in line at Customer Service is worse than at the DMV. The clerks chit chat with each other and roll their eyes if you ask for help.Dont buy anything fragile and get in line with a young clerk. The have their times monitored so your items can fly into the bags and get smashed.What a miserable place.
Tops never mops, just look at their floors. All the food is past the due date.And it looks ugly from the outside.
You can find everything you need very easy and everyone that works at Tops is very helpful and friendly.

2022-01-02Covid hotbed. I’m appalled by the lack of mask wearing or the people wearing the mask on chin and mouth but not nose! Including several employees. I won’t be shopping at this location anymore. My elderly mother doesn’t need this. Erie County Health Dept. You’ve been put on notice

2021-10-26Many employees not wearing their face mask correctly....were down on their neck and mouth and leaving their nose totally uncovered...UNLIKE THE EMPLOYEES AT WEGMANS UP THE STREET. When I pointed this out to a cashier, she laughed and thought she was funny. Ugh

My 16 year old special needs son called this manager to ask about his schedule because he was slightly confused regarding his shifts.My son was spoken to ( on speaker phone ) in the most degrading and unprofessional manner I have ever heard. Well be following up with corporate and our attorney Rick! Good luck!

2019-07-17If I could give it less than a one star I most definitely would. When entering this Tops on Transit Rd Next to Denny’s, I was Extremely Disappointed in the Quality of the food being sold there. I am someone who would like at least decent produce so my family and I don’t get sick. The Produce for sale was soggy, badly bruised, there were multiple bugs flying around everything. There were mushy fruit piles with wet paper and whatever else was laying around that they could use to put vegetables and fruit on. It smelled super sour. I was disgusted. I bought 5 ears of corn on the cob that was wrapped in plastic wrap and what I thought was coated in butter, since the unwrapped corn on the cob that still needing shucking was soaked and sour smelling, I get home and go to cook the corn on the cob that I just bought the night before and it’s NOT coated in Butter!!! It’s Actually a slimy sour film that smelled like mop water and trash cans that was covering the entire inside of the package with the corn on the cob included!!! I immediately threw it in the trash! There were literally 2 shelves to each Aisle filled with food, every thing else was just broken shelves metal pieces to the shelves everywhere, the floors were sticky and disgusting, there was random food sitting open next to closed food. All the breads were old, They were out of almost everything, and the things they advertised were old and rotten. It ruined my entire experience with this place and therefore I will never ever go to TOPS FRIENDLY MARKET EVER AGAIN!!! I had one employee tell me to have a nice day! The place Looks abandoned and seriously needs help! I’ve never took the time to write a review about anything. Especially not a grocery store!! But it’s too important not to share with as much that had went wrong and as much as we hear issues with food going around lately. I won’t chance it!
