Unprofessional and very rude stuff! long wait! terrible and disgusting food!
I go to this unique restaurant once a month because I like the special air that is unique to this restaurant. The team is extremely helpful and professional. The service is remarkablywonderfully rapid. Most important, the food they prepare is excellent. I came often and I was always satisfied. The price is decent. I highly recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.

Enjoyed an excellent meal here with friends. Had a great chicken dish- i think called chicken Anthony-with a brown sauce- loved it. Save room for the ricotta cheese cake. Was told it is made on premises and it was amazing- highly recommend-Update. Ate at Toscaninis again tonight. Had the chicken Anthony again. It was delicious. Everyone loved their entrees. Two friends had salmon and really enjoyed it as well. Service was very good and very friendly staff.
I have now been here twice and both times the food and service were superb. We had a large group tonight and everyone was taken care of; we all loved our meals. The linguini with calamari was one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. I highly recommend coming here for great Italian food!

We cant even rate the food or the service because we werent able to enter the restaurant. This was a while back. My husband and I entered the front door. He is a POC and Im white. They told us they wouldnt seat us because of what he was wearing. This was lunch time. It was summer. A tank top cant be that offensive. But they said no. Not even to come back after he changed. Needless to say we didnt go back. He was embarrassed. I was furious. But as he said, they made up their minds already no point in giving them business.Look, I know that people can be well meaning and all but telling a Black man he cant come in because of how casual he dressed for lunch is not good optics. It could have been handled more delicately. More sensitively. Weve moved out of Port. Felt better about writing this now, having some distance.Its easy to dismiss this rating. An anomaly. A blip. But it made all the difference to us. Enough to still remember and share with friends who still live there.Good training centered on diversity sensitivity and charitable assumption may be a start. From the front of house to back.
Always delicious food. Freddy is so good about being an excellent business partner to Port Washington. I love being able to give back and enjoy his delectable eats. Truly a class act.
Very warm friendly service in the Heart of Port Washington! Ask for Freddy the owner!! The Blackened Swordfish was outstanding!! My son enjoyed the Penne Ala Vodka. Call ahead for reservations!
This is a typically Italian restaurant, if you live in Northern Italy and want a family owned place.. Its NOT a red sauce joint. The food is made to order just as they do in Italy. The ingredients are fresh, the food a touch different (meaning you can get your parmesan or marinara dishes), but why would you? They know how to do fish, which is sadly rare, and their meat and chicken dishes remind you of, as I said, Northern Italy. Im a regular, because I like great food and great service.
I wanted to thank you to all my guests for excellent reviews and the ones who havent been for while please be our guests we are celebrating 13 years in town and i have made $30 dollars menu from the best sold dishes witch includes appetizers main course cafe, cappuccino espresso and home made tiramisu and cheese cake i hope i see u soon the owner. also we have updated menu health menu gluten free food and pastas.

I had a dinner lecture for work here. The food is delicious! The service was amazing! Freddie and D and the entire staff were the best. Every course was professional and delicious!
Unfortunately I did not have a good experience there. The food is old school Italian but overly salted and sauced. I ordered Chicken with mozzarella and brown sauce..It arrived heavy with cheese and the brown sauce was congealed. The portion was large and I wanted to bring it home..The distracted waiter had it thrown out and I couldnt wait for a replacement..I wont be back.

Nothing special. This was our second time, I do not remember the first time. Service was somewhat slow, and the meal was top heavy in sauce. Every entree came with sauce. Fair at best.
Toscanini has fabulous fish, pasta, limoncello and the best family wait staff. We love them.

The Kiwanis Club of Manhasset-Port Washington held their luncheon meeting at Toscaninis. The food was delicious, courteous and attentive service, and above all, our host Freddie, was charming and hospitable.

2022-06-08Absolutely delicious food from bread, appetizers, entrees and all the way to dessert.Knowledgeable staff and an even more passionate owner taking great care of their guests. Nice and mellow atmosphere with plenty of room. The smell is intoxicating with the aromas of spices and herbs.Authentic flavor and delicious tasting food. My first time in Port Washington and I was blown away with my meal. I will make sure I come back when I’m ever in town again.

2022-04-23I tried this place for the first time based on the Google reviews. I enjoyed the food and the staff was very courteous and attentive. Food prices were reasonable, came with hot bread basket which is a plus in my book. The food came out quickly and was very tasty. The ambiance was cozy also. I would definitely recommend.

2021-04-03Great food qnd service. They let me order have size servings so I could try more dishes and packed everything really carefully so it wouldnt spill on the ride.The veal picatta (pictured, half eaten because I couldnt help but finish a piece before I took out my phone 😂) was delicious. Looked small when I got it but definitely changed my mind by the time I finished the meal. The veal also came with a choice of spinich and some other vegetable dishes which Ive now forgotten.

2022-05-30I was in the mood for Italian food and I stopped in here after a quick Google search. The food here is actually really great. They start you with some bread which is freshly made in the restaurant. Honestly the bread was hard to put down, as you can imagine it was still hot from the oven, melting in your mouth with every bite. I ordered the shrimp cocktail and the mussels pesto marinara. Both tasted fantastic. The shrimp cocktail came with a small side salad which was a nice little surprise; the dressing on it was spot on. Main course for me was the penne del alba, a very nice sized portion and it had this perfect buttery taste. I was too full for dessert but I had a coffee to finish out my meal.Honestly this was one of the best, most authentic Italian food experiences Ive had, so much so that I had to write about it. A+, and Im definitely coming back here.

2022-07-16Been wanting to try this place for a long time. Maybe we just went on a bad day, but our food was totally flavorless & underwhelming. Everything we ordered was sub par.I’m not exactly sure how this place has a 4.6 rating, except for the fact the staff was very kind and attentive.Disappointed to have spent so much money on a dinner that didn’t taste like anything.

2021-11-05The service was beyond excellent and the food was twice that. Warm family atmosphere and the food tasted like grandma made it. I live in the south shore and this is the only restaurant I will drive this far to eat. Simply the best Italian food.

2021-07-26We had the most amazing dinner here with friends last night. The thing I was craving wasnt even on the menu but when I described it, the chef cooked it to perfection anyway. Even the desserts were perfect. Plan to spend some time, its not the kind of place you dine and dash. Relax and enjoy the excellent service.

2021-05-06Eat here all the time. Excellent food, generous portions and a deep pour of wine. Combined with great service makes for a great time. Solid menu and rotating specials keep it fresh.
