Dr Benatar is very competent and explains everything to you. He is always makes sure your visit is pleasant and comfortable. He answers any and all questions. His staff is very friendly and also make sure your comfortable. Very pleased with the care they all give.

Dr. Spain is the best. Ive been seeing him ever since I tore my meniscus and hes helped me get back on my feet since I got rear-ended. Hes first approach is always holistic and hes open to discuss the good and bad of what treatments are available. No pressure.
Dr Morrison is very professional and a excellent orthopedic. she has operated on me on two storage separate occasions and both times were very successful and you can not see any discoloration from the surgery.. it looks flawless

These days it is rare when you go to a doctors office that you get the time, attention and understanding that you are looking for when you are sick or in pain. Dr Morrison is one of those unique physicians that gives you all three and best of all resolves your situation. Highly recommended
Dr Benatar is a true professional. He explained exactly what my injury was and how it would effect the rest of my body. Dr Benatar takes the time to answer all my questions and always has reviewed my mris and x rays before my appointment and has different options to get you back to being able to live your best life. Dr Spain has been caring for me since my car accident in 2015. He provided the best recommendation for a neuropsychologist. And, he got me back on my feet during my concussion symptoms with, PT and cognitive therapy. He still provides me with OMT, which has been so helpful for years, on my back and neck. He’s very caring, knowledgeable, and patient. Even today, after a lidocaine shot, l wasn’t feeling well and he didn’t leave until he knew l was okay. I always recommend people to him, and Total Orthopedics.
Dr Champ Dengenis did an incredible job with my surgery. Created a game plan from the beginning til the end. Very honest and straight forward. Grateful that I did research and found Dr Dengenis one of the best.

How can you charge 500 for a boot for a child? Don’t go here. This should not be allowed and you should be ashamed to charge 5 times of what the medical equipment is worth. Stealing money from injured people. I will never use your facility for my child again and believe me I will tell everyone I know to avoid it now.

Lynn Keppel is very helpful, knowledgeable, she cares about her patients and is understanding. The only reason didnt give this a 5 is because they are never ever ever on time... Your appointment time means nothing at any the locations Ive been to. So Lynn gets a 5, but the place gets a 2 at best.
Dr. McCormack is a great doctor with excellent bedside manner. All the staff is very nice and the wait is never too long especially if you book a morning appt. I would highly recommend them.
Dr Dengenis has been EXCEPTIONAL in every way . He has performed surgery on my husband twice ( Knee and Bicep ) and is presently treating me for a recent fall /injury. We would refer /recommend him to anyone looking for a Knowledgable ,Skilled , and Communicative /Caring Physician . He takes the time to REALLY explain EVERYTHING to you and presents All Options . I went in on a friend recommendation forDr. McCormick, I’ve had problems with my shoulder and have been to other orthopedics who could never address it properly. Dr. McCormick realized the root of the problem and did different techniques that I’ve never experienced before. It was my first time seeing him and I will be back in a month so far my shoulder is feeling better, so happy to have found him!
After bringing my mother to see Dr. Ruotolo, I asked him if there was an orthopedist in the office who could look at my back that was disabling me on my visit to Long Island. I was referred to Dr. Benatar, who was just that. In addition to being very thorough, at every point it was apparent that the patient’s interest was of paramount importance. Since my pain didn’t radiate to my extremities, no aggressive measures were recommended. While Dr. Benatar thought that it would be prudent for me to get an MRI, since Dr. Benatar is only licensed in NY and that I am a New Jersey resident, he didn’t want to prescribe any tests to insure that I didn’t get stuck with the bill. However, he said that if my physician would fax him the results, he would be more than happy to read them for me.In short, if you are seeking an acclaimed orthopedist who is conservative and places the patient’s interest first, Dr. Benatar is an outstanding choice.

Dr Dengenis has gotten me through 3 major surgeries.Thoroughly explaining everything before hand and after.He and his office were there for me to answer all my needs from the start and threw all my rehabilitation.Couldn’t be happier with the treatment and respect I was given.
Even though you are one of many patients that are cared for by the practice and Dr Dengenis you are treated as the most patient for that moment. Dr Dengenis walk you through not only your procedure but every step of your recovery with an old time warm bedside manner.
Have been going for several months for treatments and every single time I have had to wait at least 30 mins to be seen. Doesn’t matter if I have an appt in the morning or afternoon. I don’t understand why they can’t schedule better.

Dr Murphy is detailed gives you all the time you need explains everything and was the most excellent surgeon for the surgery I needed. I had such bad fractured pelvis that I dont know if any other surgeon could have put me back together the way he did

This is by far the worst place I have ever visited. I went here for an ER visit in which i was diagnosed wrong, on top of that I was billed way over, I think if i were to go anywhere else and paid cash it would have been less than this. They charged my insurance for almost every code they can to get every penny from them. I am not a newbie when it comes to insurances. I received three bills regardless of them sending bills to my insurance. Obviously my insurance is going to only cover what ever they think is necessary. I received three large bills back to back in 3 consecutive months. I by far never seen a office that rips someone off this much. They refused to even listen to me when i called, they said they dont deal with the insurance issues and what not. This is very disheartening when you go to a medical office and expect things and get the unexpected.P.S. After getting diagnosed by their PA ( No orthopedist available), I was still in pain and had to go to another orthopedic office where I ended up seeing an orthopedist who gave me treatment the same day and I was able to work the very next day.I paid all my bills now and will never be going back to such an office that gives a bad experience like this. If I had the option to give 0 stars, then i would rather give that.
I just got surgery so I’m not sure how the outcome will be. I’m faithful that it will be great but so far I was not satisfied wt the way the doctor communicated with me. He’s always in a rush & didn’t make me feel comfortable. It doesn’t really seem like he cares but maybe I’m wrong. Maybe he just needs to communicate better with patients & have more patience. I’m not the type to ever complaint btw; I’m just very honest. Thank you
Been going here for PT for the last few months. The entire staff is amazing, especially Nora. God forbid I get hurt again, I would definitely come back. There is not a single negative thing I could say about them
I found everyone I dealt with to be very professional. My doctor (Dr. Dengenis) was great in explaining things and was willing to listen to clarify things for me. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.
Waited an hour and 15 minutes after appointment time…asked how much longer was told there cleaning a room for me…15 more minutes go by and nothingI ask if it’s almost ready and the manager,very unfriendly, comes out and says there’s an emergency and I won’t be seen for at least an hourAlso did nothing to try and help me I ended up leaving without seeing a doctor..was told the next appointment isn’t for a week and a half

I can honestly say Dr.Dengenis is an amazing, down to earth, caring and knowledgeable doctor. Never had a bad experience yet. I just got surgery done on my knee and it is the first surgery in my life that I never suffered from pain afterwards. He always takes the time to listen to his patients and he keeps it straight up with you. He doesnt try to sell his services, he tells you what you can and cant do and what will just be wrong your time and money. I love that about him. The staff is amazing and his offices are clean. There is so much more I can say but Ill stop here. In all, it will be worth your time and money seeing him.
My first visit to the Syosset location was very pleasant. I was called in a short time after my scheduled appointment. The doctor saw me and explained how the X-rays and the healing process.The follow up visit didn’t go as well. I arrived early in case I needed to fill out any paperwork. After an hour and a half of being here I was brought into a room and taken for X-rays. After returning to the room to see the doctor I gave up and left.I don’t understand the point of scheduling an appointment if you arrive and have to wait over an hour and still not be seen.

Dr Drazic was absolutely wonderful. From the first visit to after surgery he was kind and very knowledgeable at all times. Im post op 9 days doing so well with no pain. I would highly recommend him and his office. Thank you for taking such good care of me.
Dr. Drazic took good care of me. I had a complete tear of my talofibular ligament in my ankle. Dr.D was great at explaining to me all the stages of healing. He made it clear we are a team in my recovery. We worked together along with physical therapist to heal.
I went there for a broken shoulder & Dr Murphy was my surgeon. He is kind & capable. I am on the road to recovery.

Loved everything about the office from check in (reception desk was quick and efficient) Dr. Spain was knowledge and explained the process of checking my injury with great detail then the course of action in terms that I understood and was comfortable with. Office waiting room, restrooms, X-ray room and patient rooms were all super clean too! Highly recommended.

I was operated 21/2weeks ago. This was my 2nd knee replacement in 4 months. Dr. Richard McCormack performed both of them. The performance of this doctor is excellent. Of course there may be out of pocket expenses, according to what your insurance accepts. This is slways the patients responsibility. The hospital i choose was Northwell Health in Syosset on jericho. What a class act this place is! Patient care is exceptional, I couldnt ask for anything better then this. Everyone in this place who ever it is sre professional to every detaiil of your stay. I say thank you, for a job well done.
Clean and quiet environment. Dr. Drazic is awesome, funny, polite and caring, going in to detail and explained every current and future issues. Surgery was gone excellent and even further no pain at all. Definitely recommend to all.
This was my first time at this doctors office. When I first walked in it was crowded, but the automated check in was easy to navigate. They were very efficient, organized and handled the Covid pandemic thoroughly. I saw Maria Trotta, RPA and she was amazing!!! I absolutely adore her. I was comfortable, she was very thorough with her examination and explained everything clearly in a way my simple- non doctor mind could understand. I highly recommend her and this doctors office.

I recently had wrist surgery performed by Dr Morrison and knee surgery by Dr McCormack a few years ago. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I had other injuries were they advised against surgery. I always took their advice with no remorse. They are professional and honest. Their staff is great.

Dr. Spain is phenomenal and the the staff at Total Orthopedics is amazing. They’re very polite, courteous, patient and helpful. Dr. Spain takes his time with his patients and listens to what is going on with your body pain and focuses on how to get you back to good health. He has many ways to adjust you and fix the problem that you have. He will not rush anything until he feels you are fully recovered and that’s what is great. Dr Spain looks for his patients well being all around from Day 1.

As a pain doctor myself I clearly would choose who I go to for my care with diligence and insight into the nuances of the difference between competence and exceptional. Dr P is EXCEPTIONAL!!! The office workflow was highly professional and efficient. I had my procedure done without sedation and I have had immunizations that hurt more than my procedure. If you are in LI I highly recommend Dr. P. One of the best experiences as a patient that I have ever had.
I was referred to Total Orthopedics by CityMd Urgent Care. This is a walk-in, no need for the initial appointment. The building is beautiful. Large, all around parking lot. Inside is modern and very clean. From the first person I encountered to assist me, and every representative since then, whether in person or on the phone, has taken care of my needs. It seems to me each representatives goal, is to take care of the concern and needs of the patient they are speaking with. I have not been pushed aside, ignored or felt like my concerns matter nothing to them. The doctor assigned to my case has been forthright from the beginning. Explaining with clarity my situation and the outcome of my choices. Because this is an on-the-job injury and still waiting for approval, I have yet to have the surgery needed. I am looking forward to sending a review after the surgery.
I was very happy with my visit and talking to Dr McCormick. I was speaking to the nurse when I left and I told her how comfortable he made me feel and thats what I like when I go see a doctor . Being comfortable with medical professional is very important to me and Im able to open up until him or her whats wrong and how it can be fixed. Total Orthopedics is great!! It is a state of the art facility, including practicing Covid safety and social distancing. The staff at the front desk is very professional, courteous, and friendly. I did not see any of the doctors there, instead I saw Lynne, the PA. She was outstanding!! She was very knowledgeable, caring, personable and funny. She really knows her stuff!! I would recommend Total Orthopedics, and especially Lynne, to anyone who needs an orthopedist!!!

I saw Dr. Elizabeth Morrison. She was attentive, and informative. I had previously gone to Orlin and Cohen. Unsatisfied, I decided to try Total Orthropedics. My experience was night and day! O&C never took time with me, I felt Iike they didn’t care, just get through their day. I went for an issue with my hand. Not once in three visits did the doctor actually examine my hand. Got an X-ray, then a cortisone shot, barely spoke to me at all, and then felt rushed out. My problem was never resolved. Dr. Morrison explained my injury to me, gave me a THOROUGH exam,and did additional testing after the X-ray. I’m annoyed I wasted my time with O&C, but very happy I found Total Orthropedics and Sports Medicine.
Dr. Ruatolo was fantastic.I experienced virtually no pain or real bad discomfort from the surgery on my right shoulder. After surgery treatment was very caring and concerned for how the healing process was progressing.Dr Ruatolo was friendly and showed real concerns over any comments I made.
I went to see Dr. Drazic for numbness in my hands. The wait time was a bit long but the Dr. was very thorough and I appreciated him explaining all the possible causes and next steps for diagnostics with me. He has a good bedside manner and was courteous, which is a welcome change from some other specialists I’ve been to, who are often arrogant and brusque. I referred my husband to Total Ortho for his shoulder, and my own physician even goes here.

My appointment was for 12:15, but I was not seen until almost 1:00pm, which is ridiculous. The doctor was very nice, caring, and informative, but if your the type to keep a schedule, then this is not the place for you.
Dr McCormack was very patient, explained everything in detail and is not so quick to put you into surgery unless everything in your medical profile is good. Not taking any risks. I would definitely go back for my follow-up and i highly recommend him and his staff .

After a MRI of my cervical spine showed severe stenosis, I called Toral Orthopedics to be evaluate for further treatment. The stenosis is causing severe, unrelenting headaches and now tingling down my arm. They were able to give me an appointment with Dr Benatar the very next day !! After my evaluation with Dr Benatar, and him explaining how compressed my spine is, they have now given me an appointment with a great spinal surgeon in 1 week !I chose Total Orthopedics as I have prior experience with another one of their physicians, Dr Richard McCormick, who performed my left hip replacement a few years ago and the care I received was exemplary!
I have been receiving treatment since 2018 from different specialist at several of their location. The one on Eileen Way is their newest and my favorite. There is barely any wait time and they allow you to fill the usual mountain of forms online, which is very convenient. My most current interaction has been with Dr. Kechejian (Dr. K). He’s an authority on the Pain Management field, but also has excellent bedside manners, he’s upbeat, energetic, and fun. He let’s you know what he’s doing or about to do every step of the way. Also, everyone on staff is super professional but genuinely nice people.
I’ve been seeing Dr David Benatar off and on for a few years. He takes the time to explain things and doesn’t rush you out like some other doctors do. He is thorough, caring and wants to do what’s best for his patients. I would highly recommend him. Total Orthopedic’s staff is also great to work with. They are very efficient.

Avoid at all costs! Had an appointment for 12PM, checked in at 11:50AM.... We are now walking out at 1:47PM after nearly 2 hours! Receptionist said ‘15 Minutes’ after we had waited already 90 minutes. When we asked how much longer they then said they weren’t sure and were rude. Value your time by going somewhere else because they sure as hell don’t :)
I have been coming to Total Orthopedics for over a year now and have a fantastic experience every visit. The office is clean and staff is friendly and accommodating. Dr. Benatar is very knowledgeable and is great at what he does. I would highly recommend this practice for the level of care they provide.

Absolutely amazing surgeon and person from start to finish, pre to post surgery. Highly recommend doesn’t even begin to describe it. After tearing my ACL and meniscus and having surgery with Dr. Ruotolo, i am back on my feet pain free with full function just a couple months post surgery as if it never happened. You couldn’t ask for any more from your surgeon.

We received prompt and wonderful, caring treatment for my daughter...the Doctor we saw was very knowledgeable about athletes, asked all the right questions during diagnosis. Doctors may be great but I will never know. This review is for the reception I received when I walked in on March 6, 2020 11 am, as I was told to do by my referring doctor. Receptionist may have been having a bad moment, Im not sure but she was very snippy and rude. I figure I would just come back another day. Due to COVID another day turned to months. I called today to make an appointment and whoever answered at the call center was again extremely rude. In all fairness I called in between and the person who answered was kind and professional so its not all of the staff but this 1 star review goes to those that made me feel as if I was a bother. Ill go elsewhere.
Ive been coming to this office location since 12/2019 for back treatment. I called yesterday to informed the doctor of more intense pain Im having. I was told by staff they would contact a location where I had a MRI done. Later yesterday afternoon I received a call from this location staff given me a doctor appointment today for 12:30 pm. I was excited because I have been experiencing extreme pain and had the hope of them helping me. I arrived on time for my visit signed in and was told to have a seat. A young lady ask me do I have the film from the MRI and i said no and wasnt told in the conversation I needed to obtain them. About 15 minutes later I was told by the person who actually called me for the appointment, that I couldnt be seen by a doctor until I retrieve the disc. I made it clear to her it was never mentioned that it was my responsibility. I asked can I see any doctor for the pain Im experiencing being that Im here, she stated no not without the disc. My house is approximately 24 round trip Im not around the corner from the facility. I made them aware of this and still was denied to seeing a doctor even though I was in pain and a appt was made by them. Totally disgusted with this staff, I will keep this review updated and will get the names of every one involved.

Dr. R Champ Dengenis is the Consummate professional. I fell during the first snowstorm of the year here on the Island and I broke my right wrist. Although, I have an orthopedic doctor I went with Dr. Dengenis who was the on call surgical orthopedic doctor at St. Joseph’s and he didn’t disappoint. He has great energy about himself and a very cool Aura as well. Is his name really Dr. Rhyne Champ Dengenis? I believe it is!Dr. R. C. Dengenis was the lucky surgeon who was tasked with putting my “tiny wrist” back together and he didn’t disappoint. I had the pleasure of meeting the doctor and he introduced his team prior to my surgery, what a great group of guys. I knew I was in extremely competent hands and I gladly fell out after spending 16 hours in the Emergency Room at Saint Joe’s Catholic Hospital.The team that was assembled was absolutely amazing. To see first hand all these medical professionals (a/k/a/ Doctor’s) working in conjunction with Doctor R. C. Dengenis to put my wrist back together was really quite an experience. Can you tell I have never broken a bone before?I saw Doctor R.C. Dengenis a few days ago in Syosset when he removed my splint/soft cast. I am rehabbing my wrist for now with the instructions provided by Dr. Dengenis! I am well on the road to recovery and I am hoping to never need the good doctor Dengenis again but if I do I will not hesitate to call him.If you are looking for an extremely competent Orthopedic Surgeon on the Island, Doctor R. Champ Dengenis is definitely your man! My wrist feels amazing and I will be forever grateful. Ive had many injuries and have gone to multiple doctors for my issues. NONE OF THEM have been as helpful and informative as Dr. Dengenis. Im upset I didnt find him earlier, but better late than never. If you go to him you will not regret it! He truly cares about his patients
Very professional, kind, and caring. I went to 2 other local doctors that couldn’t figure me out. My co-workers suggested Total Ortho, and I now travel 30 minutes to go here. They took care of me, & I feel much better. Connected physical therapists better than 2 of my local P/Ts as well.
Dr Leven is a great surgeon. I underwent 2 major spine surgeries and I thank my lucky stars he was my surgeon. Despite my very long road to recovery, he’s always very patient and kind. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a highly skilled spine surgeon with impeccable bedside manners. He sure knows his stuff very well because he was a physical therapist before he went into medicine.
I met with Dr Ruotolo he spent a good amount of time explaining what kind of treatments are available for me.. He gave me a a shot in the knee… I felt nothing and knee feels great so far… Looking forward to continuing treatment in the future if needed…
I can not even begin to explain how disappointing and upsetting my experience with Total Orthopedics has been. I make an appointment, wait an hour to be seen only to be told by the Dr that he isnt a spine Dr and although from my Xray it shows that there is a problem he wasnt going to order an MRI. He then refers me to their clinic at NUMC- suggests I should say because the receptionist only offered me a phone number. Then when I call to make the appointment at the clinic, the phone number I got was wrong btw, they have no availability until February and you do need a referral. So this Dr who lectured me on not waiting and that the longer I wait to deal with my issues the worser recommends a clinic with no availability for 3 months. Mind you I have numbness and pain and loss of balance. But thats the care you get a Total Orthopedics if you have Medicaid I guess. I only wanted some help and imaging and all I got was- Yup theres something wrong and Nope we dont care.
Incredibly friendly staffyou have to sign in at a kiosk but when you think no one is going to help you they are already looking for you and guiding you through your visiti saw they were busy with lots of people waiting but i saw service was fast and i was taken in fastthey completed my clinical history and had xrays of both knees in no time.Maria Trotta P.A. was wonderful. she took care of me and explained my options. love her demeanor and great smile it shows she cares and i love nice people like her.got treatment and i feel very good. going back next week for more treatment and i definetely recommend this practice
Dr Morrison is a very compassionate physician who listens to your concerns. She doesn’t make you feel rushed. I was given an injection for my tennis elbow and it’s really feeling better! Thank you for caring!

Dr. Dengenis is amazing. So helpful and honestly cares. He takes the time to explain things as simple as possible without overwhelming you. My experience began with some hope for relief and turned into an unprofessional, and quite frankly, unethical ordeal. I had an xray of my ankle and knee-both xrays came back fine. I was sent for an MRI for my ankle and put in a boot, of which only made things worse. I went for my MRI and the following evening was called by a receptionist. I was told my injury could not be treated in their office and I would need to see an ankle specialist. When I asked to speak to the doctor, what my MRI read, and why I needed to see an ankle specialist, I was told I should call the specialist because I had too many questions that could not be answered. Thank God my mother is in healthcare-she advised I call back and ask for a phone call from the doctor when available. The next receptionist told me either she or the doctor would call me back. The receptionist called me back and told me my diagnosis-tendonitis. I have since seen another orthopedist and the tendonitis diagnosis was incorrect. I have yet to hear from a doctor at Total Orthos. I wish I could give a raving review.
Dr. Galos was very patient, explicit, and Confident, which kept me calm during this process. All the staff members were very helpful and kind. Dr. Galos and his staff made my tragic experience a more hopeful and positive one! Exceptional work and atmosphere!
Dr. DENGENIS is wonderful. He listens and hears what you are saying. He explains in detail and takes time with his patients. My husband and I both are under his care. I have recommended so many people to him. He is smart, and has helped me so much with the severe pain I was having with my left knee. My husband adores him. He is our favorite doctor, so caring. When you leave your visit, all questions have been answered, we are very grateful.
Very friendly staff! Everyone made my 5yr old son feel comfortable from the X-ray to the examination room. Doctor was patient, explained the process to us and also helped us lessen our worries. Good experience overall!

Dr. Kechejian is great. I have seen him twice for pain injections in my lower back. I’ve had injections previously and they never really worked well. I used him for the last 2 and the results were extraordinary. He used a different angle with the injections and it made a world of difference. My pain is almost non-existent.His bedside manner is fantastic. Before the injection he sits with you and explains the whole procedure. During the procedure he talks you thru each step. And then at the end he shows you the images of the procedure.I highly recommend Dr. K.
I was concerned about bring my daughter to her appointment about during COVID-19 but my concerns were put to rest. Upon arrival, your temperature and sanitizer are available. The option to either sit outside or stay inside in the designated seats were given to us. Doctor Trepeta was wonderful. He has a calling to work with children. He truly cares about them getting better and staying better.

The office is neat, clean and beautiful. Dr. Lerman is always efficient and timely. I love all the staff at total orthopedics, they are helpful, knowledgeable and kind. I recently had spinal surgery and Dr. Lerman made me feel at ease and comfortable. He told me what would be done step by step, how long it would take and even called my husband personally to let him know when I was out of surgery. Dr. Lerman is definitely aces and I would recommend him to EVERYONE.
I had never been to the Syosset facility.State of the art,everyone organized and pleasant.Dr. Spain got me in immediately,as I was in pain.As always,he is smart,compassionate, and a curate about diagnosis,and prescribing. I feel so much better already.
I was seen by Dr. Owens at the appointed time. After receiving an ex-ray, Dr. Owens clearly explained what the ex-Ray showed and what my options were. He answered all my questions.
I chose this location because they had the most reviews out of all other Ortho clinics on google. Everything was amazing, I walked in without an appointment and was seen in probably 15 minutes even though the place was filled with patients. My follow up appointment was right on time, didn’t have to wait at all for anything. I live about 35 minutes away from the closest Total Ortho but it is definitely worth the drive. Everything is treated professionally, they all have outstanding knowledge and It is definitely worth the drive from however far away you are.
I have been a patient of total orthopedics since about January 2018. I was in my darkest hours after completely rupturing my ACL while in the police academy. I was scared my new career had ended before it even began. I met Dr. Dengenis and my life was forever changed. I have never met a Doctor so patient and caring that was specific to my individual needs. Because of this I was successful in my career I could never thank him and his staff and total ortho enough. I am a forever patient!
Modern, efficient office. Caring, professional and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Trotta was wonderful and treated me great. I have been to other orthopedics in the area but I will only go to Total Orthopedics & Sports and Drm Trotta from now on.
I’ve been to this practice three times and the wait is ridiculous. First two times was 45 mins. I’m now still waiting to see Dr. Morrison and it’s been an hour and I’m told there are three people ahead of me. And they only told me this because I complained.Plus, the last time I came they asked me to get blood works done before the visit. When I finally got to speak with the doctor, they realized they never received my blood works. They couldn’t get it in time for my visit and said they would call me. They never called. And consultation with the doctor was barely helpful. I’m leaving this place now and never coming back. Do NOT use this practice!!

These guys are amazing. Its the only medical facility that has basically no wait time. A 3:00 appointment means you will be seen at 3:00. Dr. McCormack is a top notch surgeon. 6 weeks after 2 total knee replacements i am walking freely, climbing steps, driving..even plating light golf.If you need any type of Orthopedic work done, there is no better place than Total Orthopedic.

I had a serious shoulder issue recently and went to see the team at Total Orthopedics. Dr. Ruotolo and his staff we all over it. From the initial MRI to my one on one consultation, they were 100% professional and gave me expert advice on my sports related injury. Now Im on the road to recovery and extremely confident they made the right diagnosis.The new Syosset facility is amazing. Modern, clean and very efficient. I highly recommend these guys for whatever ails you.
I ruptured my right achilles and had someone drive me to Total. The staff was very helpful and I was seen in under 20 minutes of arrival. After an xray and a mri confirmed that I had ruptured it, I spoke with Dr. Dengenis, and to my surprise, was on the operating table just 2 hours after speaking with him. Dr. Dengenis was amazing and helped lighten the mood. I highly recommend Total Orthopedics and Sports Medicine
Went in for knee pain I was having. Dr. looked at my MRI results and gave me 4 recommendations, 1 of which being shots that would absolutely not be approved by my insurance. Just found out they may have been approved if I did some things (PT, medicine, shots, etc.) that my insurance requires. Office didnt even submit them for approval and now Im having trouble getting the out of pocket expenses approved by my FSA. Completely unprofessional office, authorization and billing practices.Also, they have to ask the Dr. if you can still be seen if your 15 min. past your apt time but patients wait 45-60 min. with no knowledge the office is running so behind.
Dr. Ruotolo is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. Over the decade, he has helped my family with ankle and shoulder issues with great success. Very grateful!

I have been at the new facility in Syosset a few times. Everyone is very nice and very professional. Doctor Morrison takes the time to see what is wrong with you and she asks a lot of questions. Very pleased with the outcome of my visits.
After spending 4 days in the hospital with an injury to a previous surgical area, I was advised by this groups PA in the hospital to make an appt once out, the day I got out I called made an appt with 1 of the 2 surgeons who did my surgery, the soonest they had was a location I have never been to but I was willing to go just to get seen. I showed up on the date and time of my appt amd was refused to been seen, there scheduler made an error and never put me in, even though I showed them on my phone when I called and got the appt. The front desk person Fran and office Manager Vanessa refused to help me, zero help. zero appologies, I sat waiting at the desk while Fran walked to complain to each coworker and point as I stood there in pain. zero compassion. As a medic I have recommended this office to many serious Trauma patients, but no more, they have gotten to big that they dont care and just laugh at a patient with a serious injury. I will find another group that takes time to care about there patients. As I will recommend to all of my patients. I may be only 1 patient that they dont care about, but I will make sure all of my patients know who to stay away from.
Dr. Morrison knows what she is doing and gets the job done quickly. A pleasant Doctor.Any problems with your hand shes the person for the job. I am satisfied with my care.
Dr. Trepeta was great! After reading some of the reviews online I was a bit skeptical, but after looking closer, reading between the lines and meeting Dr. Trepeta in person, I was very happy I chose to bring my son to him for evaluation. He was very warm and patient, spent time explaining the condition and answering all of my questions. Went out of his way to print out some additional information and (unlike most who send you home with “a book” of Wikipedia printouts) actually went through and highlighted the important parts of his document!I would absolutely recommend seeing Dr. Trepeta for your orthopedic needs! And try to read the reviews carefully, as most negative ones were about the condition of the office (at a random location) and issues with paperwork/front desk - not a direct representation of the physician himself. Actually his Syosset office is a brand new facility, beautifully designed and staffed by very nice personnel!Great overall experience!
Terrible. They charged my insurance close to 1000K for a walk in, where a PA (not a doctor) looked at my wrist without any X-rays and gave a 5 min conclusion. Plus today i received a bill for the copay which i paid at the office, so now i have to dig out the statements and deal with them further. Never ever again. This should be your last resort.
Dr. Morrison is outstanding. She takes her time to review all options that are available. She does not pressure you at all.The entire staff is professional and courteous. I highly recommend Total Oethopedics.

Great offices prompt care. Started in deerpark ave location and had seen P.A. Converso. She was great and was professional. Gave me a great work up. Then followed up with Dr.Dengenis at the Syosset location. He was a great examination. He basically reaffirmed everything P.A. Converso said but was able to elaborate after a series of xrays. Definitely recommending this practice to friends and family.
I recently visited Total Orthopedics & Sports medicine in Syosset for neck pain. The staff was friendly and attentive. The facility was modern,clean and spacious.

By some incredible stroke of luck, after my accident last year I was rushed to the hospital and Dr. Gallos was assigned as my emergency surgeon to take the challenge of repairing my shattered olecranon. After two surgical procedures later, and over year of recovery, miraculously I have regained use of my arm again. I couldn’t be more thankful and appreciative of the care I have received.Additionally, the Syosset Total Orthopedic’s office staff (from Billing to Radiology), all have been such a pleasure to deal with.I highly recommend anyone who needs orthopedic assistance.
Had a 6 oclock appointment showed up at 540 was told that they were running 30 minutes behind schedule or less. Waited till 705 then called in to the room. 730 still no doctor. Walked out at 730 got my co pay back never was apologized to. Told me they have no control over appointments
Dr. McCormack performed my hip replacement surgery in April 2019. I was back to teaching 15 days later. Returned to bartending 4 weeks later. I received excellent care over the subsequent months. I am more active now than I have been in a long time.

I’ve been going to Total orthopedics & Sports medicine for over three years. I’ve been seeing Dr. Burducea the pain management doctor there he’s been treating me for my back, neck and the severe numbness I get in my hands and my feet. I been receiving all different type of injections that help minimize the pain and pain medication. Dr Burducea is an amazing doctor that’s caring and patient if it wasn’t for him I won’t be having a good quality a life.
Dr. Spain is very gentle and listens to you attentively. He gave me the gel injections for both my knees and I didn’t feel any pain.

Have been to Massapequa and Syosset locations. Extremely friendly, clean and professional. Very happy with all the treatment I have gotten for various sports related injuries.

2022-02-17Ive been to Dr Montero many times over many years. He can spot your issue very quickly. Ive had occasional golf elbow over the years and it always feels better a day or two after visit. Hes a very personable man and listens to what you say. I appreciate a doctor that does that.

2022-02-18Dr. Spain is a true professional! He was empathetic, kind, patient and explained everything that was going on with my conditions as he calmly went over my X-rays and medical options and future. He exhibited the perfect bedside mannerment as a doctor and I left a very satisfied and pleased patient. I would definitely recommend Dr. Spain, only him.

2022-02-17I see Dr. Spain for arthritis in my knees. He and the staff are very nice and friendly. Sometimes things feel slightly rushed but I wouldnt say its bad. But there have been times where its packed and hard to get a close parking spot (stinks when it hurts to walk). Appointment times are a bit limited as well - I often have to leave work early to get an appointment around 3:30 or 3:45 but I work until 4:30. I like Dr. Spain a lot though - very knowledgeable and patient when I ask questions.

2022-05-19When I arrived, I was told that my 2:15 appointment would be delayed an hour. After an hour and 10 minutes, I was called into an exam room to provide some info for an office attendant. She entered the information and told me an x-ray tech would be in to take me for leg x-rays. After another 20 minute wait, the x-ray tech led me to another room for the x rays. After the x rays I was sent back to the initial examination room. After another 15 minute wait, Doctor Drazic finally came in. He was wonderful. He took his time to explain everything to me and did not rush me when I had numerous questions. He was very personable. I left feeling much better about my injury. Unfortunately, the unusually long tempered my positive feeling for my first visit to this practice.

2022-04-29Dr. Murphy has been treating me since December 2021 when I fell and broke my humerus bone. It’s been a long arduous healing process. His skill and knowledge is as comforting as his personality. He is kind, caring and compassionate. He never seems to be in a rush and he answers all my questions thoroughly. I would highly recommend his care to anyone!

2022-06-10During my most recent visit I was seen by Dr. Jeyamohan. I was also seen by him previously. He takes his time answering all questions and is very thorough. He is very honest in telling you what he knows, and what he doesn’t know if you ask questions that are outside of his medical field. He is compassionate and empathetic and I liked him right from the beginning. I will be seeing him again after I get the results of the test he ordered. He’s also a very nice guy. I can’t say enough good things about him.

2022-07-07I had a pleasant experience with Dr. Ruotolo. I’m doing well with the series of gel injections administered to my knee. He was very professional in his approach and after examination told me I didn’t need a knee replacement yet and recommended I give gel shots a try. He was correct in his assessment. I will be going back to him in the future when needed.

2022-06-09My husband was hurt at work injuring his hip back and neck. He is treated by Dr. Bret Spain and he absolutely is the best. Very professional and great bed side manner my husband looks forward to his appointments with Dr Spain as he continues his journey to full recovery.

2022-02-15Overall the office is very nice and clean. Dr. Murphy is great. Just had a bad experience with the ladies at the front desk. Dropped off paperwork to be filled out and they said it takes 7-10 business days. Ok no problem. I am now going on my 13th day and I am still waiting for the papers. Spoke with an assistant named Ariana P. who was very rude and sarcastic with me when I was telling her it’s been more then 10 days and we need to provide the papers to work.
