My husband took me to this winery recently since we just wanted to get away for a couple days and celebrate our anniversary. Even though we aren’t wine drinkers we wanted to go just for the experience. Kimberly the owner, made our experience great. She worked with my husband and had a flower arrangement and cake waiting for us to celebrate since we are not from the area. The food and wine were good , small portions for food but was enough for me. Kimberly is genuinely a nice person and she takes pride in making sure she is providing great service. Even though we aren’t wine drinkers, I would go back just to support the business. Thanks again.
Service was good and wine was fine.Because of the pandemic, they have a limited number of people inside the restaurant. It was cold to be outside, especially if there is no sun.The waiter gave us strips of bread and then charged us, I opened it to try it and left it there. As the receipt was sent by email, I only realized that I was charged for it when I got home.
Nice little place in the middle of nowhere. Worth finding!! They had small plate foods that were delicious, flat bread also delicious. The wines were nice my favorite was the Queen. We took some home. The peach cobbler made by the owners daughter was delicious! Lovely place. Seek and find treasure.
Wonderful wine and customer service! Kim takes the time to welcome each of her customers and the staff is so friendly. Wine is amazing and the indoor/outdoor atmosphere is beautiful! Flatbread pizza is my favorite! We buy a couple bottles of wine each time we visit! Highly recommend this beautiful place!
What a great find! They had a very large variety of wines available for tasting, all of which we enjoyed! The small bites were delicious…but my absolute favorite was the flat bread! Something about the bread just made it so delicious that we ended up ordering a second. Definitely worth a visit!
What an amazing wine tasting and lunch experience my family and I had here. We were a group of 6 with an infant in a stroller and we had a private room with our own servers and bathroom, and space. We also had lunch from the cafe in here too. Let’s talk about the space first- it was beautifully decorated and plenty of space for my family. The wine tasting my family did was great, and for someone like me who doesn’t drink, there were options of non alcoholic drinks I can enjoy. Then, the food- AMAZING. Get the cheese platter and literally everything on the menu was fabulous. Also, Michael our server was awesome and really helped us pick food options. We enjoyed the burger, Sunday pasta and pork special too. This whole experience with great service from the winery and cafe, the private room and delicious food was such a memorable experience. Thank you for this great experience!!
Great winery serving delicious food and wine. My wife and I were very impressed by the facility and the service provided by the friendly professional staff. The owner Kimberly was gracious and accommodating. We really liked that she came to our table and personally thanked us for our business.
What a great winery! Kimberly is a gem as she is so welcoming with great suggestions for food and wine pairings. We had the Tiger Figs appetizer (yes, we tried and loved the figs) and a glass of both the 2018 Chardonnay and Queen of Claremont white blend. Loved both wines and couldn’t decide which was best so naturally we had another glass. Since we were tied at a draw we ordered bottles of both for a blind wine tasting with our friends to decide when we get home. Stay posted for the results! The service was 1st class and we picked up a few favorites in the gift shop ( Dad’s local honey, local preserves and a Tousey Winery wine chiller sleeve.
Best way to start the spooky celebrations: HalloWine 2021@ Tousey Winery.Cheers to an amazing night, friends like family, longtime friend and new friends.Such a beautiful community I’m so proud to be part of. Hands down to the Owners, the staff and everyone from the Tousey Team who made this incredible experience possible, excellent service, bathrooms super clean all night long, didn’t try the food, but heard it was great! The wine though I did try!! Their Sauvignon Blanc is my favorite!!!
This place is fantastic. The owner Kimberly was so incredibly kind with her time. We came to Clermont Cafe (connected to the winery) on a Sunday night without realizing that the winery closes at 6pm on Sundays. Chef Mark from Clermont reached out to Kim and she graciously went out of her way to come down and serve us delicious wine that paired wonderfully with our incredible meal. Highly highly recommended.
My favorite wine accompanied by the best staff EVER, the owners make you feel like youre visiting a friend. It such a great place. This was my 3rd Halloween party & needless to say we had a blast! But aside from that, if you want quality wine, this is the place for you. My fav white is the Hygge, but the killer Red is not to be overlooked. Thank u guys for always making us feel at home.
Stopped in yesterday with a party of 6. The staff was friendly and helpful in helping us select our wines, and helped us get a photo of our group in their very well decorated indoor space. The wines were delicious and the outdoor space was exactly what you want on a hot summer day. Would go again and would recommend to a friend.
We were lucky enough to secure a harvest host site with our new RV. Owners were super accommodating and the spot was great! The restaurant and winery were very covid safe and had great food and wine. As our first harvest hose experience we were thrilled. We will be back.
Kimberly and Ben have created a very special place for us to visit - every time we go (every week) they have done something to make our experience there fantastic- just added heaters - Kevin who will probably take care of you is a lovely man who will always do his best to take care of you. Tousey are like family and will treat you as such - don’t come with city quick and fast expectations- sit and enjoy - take time to take in the Hudson Valley wine experience as it should be enjoyed. Such gooooood people!
The wine was fine but my experience was not a good one! The waiters were friendly but definitely understaffed for a Saturday afternoon. The cafe is a separate business from the winery, so you have to wait for the waiters from the cafe to take your order. Unfortunately, no one came to take our order after 25 minutes and we decided to leave. So disappointing!!
Absolutely great experience. I picked this place for our lunch stop on our way to the Getaway cabin. My bf and I ordered a bottle of the Blane De Blanes and it was great. The food from the Clemont Cafe was just amazing. The ribeye and the burger tasted phenomenal. It took a bit long for the food but it was definitely worth it. We later learned that the chef worked for fine dining restaurants for several years. I highly recommend everyone trying this place.
Good wines, terrible serviceWe visited winery with a group of friends, without reservation. There were 8 of us who wanted to do the tasting, so we were situated outside. The owner came out and said that we can taste 5 wines for the $5. so far so good. We started tasting wines, which were mostly good (especially the Chardonnay). When we were done, we went to pay for the tasting inside, and all of a sudden instead of $5, we were requested to pay $15 per person, because we were a group. When asked the owner why is that, she said that she was super-nice to us and even poured more than 5 wines - yes, there was one person who asked to taste 3 more wines - this is why instead of $5 pp we all now had to pay $15 pp. The lady was rude and adamant about it, and even run after one of the people in the group as she thought he didnt pay (everything was paid in full). The winery management have to take hospitality 101 courses or hire a decent tasting room manager. They definitely lost our business and while we like their wines, they dont worth putting up with such a hostile attitude.Recommended to avoid. Find their wines in the store, they might be even cheaper there,
Although myself and some friends had been looking forward to our New Year’s Eve visit to the winery, we left a bit disappointed at the end of our visit.Between 5 people we spent around $235. We paid $25/per person to taste 5 wines and we all purchased a food item (we were required to do so, despite state law saying 1 food item per tab). We were truly satisfied with our food and wine and we even purchased 2 bottles to take home with us.When receiving our bill we questioned a $14 charge for water. At no point did our server inform us of the charge for water nor did a menu list this price. Instead of giving an explanation for this charge, apologizing, or offering to take it off, the manager Kimberly was rude and condescending in her response. She made us feel extremely uncomfortable and overall handled the situation in an unprofessional manner. To me, this poor costumer service was enough to turn me away from a return visit!
We had such a great time here and they allow well-behaved leashed dogs which is awesome. The wine is fantastic, the service is friendly and they even have a little shop in the tasting room with local goods like honey and soaps. While this isn’t on an actual vineyard, would highly recommend!
We had the most fabulous experience at Tousey yesterday! As we pulled up, Kimberly greeted us and told us our “COVID-friendly” options. She couldn’t of been sweeter and more accommodating!!Wine was delicious and food was also fantastic! We can’t wait to go back when they are fully open!
My experience was bad. The waitress was friendly but service was poor. The winery is separate from the food service. We never got served for food. We continually hailed waitress but were ignored. Same problem with wine server.Thirty minutes later we paid for 2 wine tasters and a beer and the required bread sticks -$30. Never going back. They are understaffed and disorganized.
A great stop for taste & purchase of local wines. Our lovely hostess was friendly colorful and made our experience an enjoyable one! The tasting room is enchanting. This is a great family run operation that welcomes you into their great little world. I purchased the dry Riesling, Chardonnay and the Riot Red a delightful blend.
Has a warm, welcoming environment with some of the best white wines and rosés the Hudson Valley has to offer. Always excellent customer service. A delightful café sits right next door for food options that are perfect to accompany your drinks. Weve been many times to Tousey and will return for many more.
We were doing a birthday wine tour and stopped here. The staff were extremely unwelcoming and reluctant to accommodate our party of six. She said they usually suggest reservations for groups of six or more. There was plenty of room but the woman told us wed have to wait. Then she said another option was we could buy a glass or go somewhere else. Extremely rude. None of us will ever go back and will NOT recommend it to others.
Amazing interior design, top notch service from the staff with detailed descriptions of wines and recommendations, fantastic wine (Sparkling Queen was a crowd pleaser amongst our group), reasonable prices and lovely outdoor area to sit and sip. Unfortunately I stopped here on a weekend trip and am not local but I will definitely be coming back in the future!
Incredible place to visit w wonderful old world hospitality. The owners take an interest in everyone and will drop by to say hello and answer questions and share their love of wine and their business. Restaurant is next door and was an incredible find for our journey thru!!!! Diligent and respectful of issues pertaining to Covid and felt very comfortable with being there. Can not wait to be back thru and say hello again! Thank you!
Unsatisfactory customer service. Over the phone, we were being very pressured into securing our reservation by Kimberly, their event coordinator. She showed no regard for our designated drivers saying they can walk down the street because they are unable to sit with us. She stated they were very busy despite having 3 open reservations on their schedule.
First off I would like to say that I am NO fan of writing a bad review.I had a group of 12 attend a wine tasting at Tousey. I planned a month and a half in advance knowing that it would be a large group. I had been back and fourth with Kimberly confirming the time, price, covid rules, etc. My first concern was that she wanted me to text her a picture of my credit card to put on file to reserve our tasting. I agreed that with covid going on, things are a bit different. Since then I had confirmed the time and price about 2 more times before our visit on October 3rd. She had told me (screenshot attached) that the only charge would be $12 person for the cheese board. On the day of the tasting we arrive, everything was great until Kimberly approached our table and asked if everything was okay. My group said everything was fine. She had told us our server heard someone say that the wine tasted like nail polish remover, which was not the case, she was talking about something totally different. After that we had a weird vibe so we decided it was time to go. Upon receiving the bill we were told our cheese board (which was nothing to brag about) and the wine tasting were separate charges, $20 each for our tasting and $12 each for the cheese board. When I asked her about it she was completely snotty and said she was sorry for the misunderstanding and just kept repeating herself. We ended up paying our bill which was $240 for a wine tasting of 5 wines, and $144 for a basic cheese board. Needless to say we will not be returning. Here is a picture of the text message between Kimberly and I, just to reassure that I am not lying.
I was having a garage sale on a Sunday and wanted to have a sign out on my street so it can draw others attention to it. I went out early in the morning and leaned my sign against the telephone and it simply said YARD SALE with an arrow on it. I figure no big deal theres many other signs here. Later on I go out and notice that my sign was laid on the ground. So obviously not knowing why it was down I stood it back up and went home. Later on i had to go back out again and it was down again, so I stood it back up. And when I came back home it was down again and I was going to stand it up...AGAIN. Eventually a blonde dippy lady came running over to my car saying that she doesnt want our sign up because its obnoxious and not helping the business and that shes trying to keep the community clean Yes I understood this considering it was a neon orange sign but it was all I had to use and I was only going to use it for the one day. So since the community is a free community I stood it back up and left. I was just trying to promote my yard sale exactly how she was trying to promote her business with her obnoxious signs. Later on I went back out just to check on my signs which werent even there. Confused I went and asked her where my signs were and she had threw them in the back of her shop. Little did she know my daughter was trying to sell some of her stuff to raise money for her Gold Award for Girl Scouts. I was very furious and decided to go across the street and explained the situation to my daughters French Teacher who was kind enough to let us put our signs in her yard. I am extremely furious with her, the manager of a winery, not letting me be able to hang a yard sale sign against a telephone pole which she does not own. She also took down fellow neighbors signs that were trying to promote their yard sale too. As much of a wine drinker I am, I WILL NOT AND NEVER EVER GO BACK TO THE TOUSEY WINERY. POOR MANAGEMENT AND BOSSY, RUDE, BITCHY OWNER.

2022-05-01This is beautiful place to visit and enjoy wine and a charcuterie board. Our favorite was The Queen white wine. The charcuterie and cheese boards were delicious. The staff was amazing, we had a private room and Erica our host was informative and fun.Highly recommend stopping in on your next trip through the beautiful Hudson Valley. We will certainly be going back to enjoy another day.

2021-09-11Dinner was delicious and beautifully presented. I really appreciated Kimberly Tousey Peacocks compassion over my gluten intolerance. Erica was a wonderful waitress. Both offered kind and patient hospitality and were so gracious. It was a pleasure being at the winery after our long journey from the Adirondacks. We thank you also for being such kind Harvest Hosts and giving us a welcome respite before the final part of our journey home! And now about the wine tasting: incredibly amazing! So many favorites and probably the best port we have ever had. We joined the wine club immediately and brought home a case of favorites as gifts for friends and relatives. What a wonderful find in the Hudson Valley! This father, daughter and husband business is so hard working and have made wine making extraordinary! Beautiful story of their beginning and persevering. There is an essence of beauty and perfection in their aspiring wines! Truly marvelous! Cant wait to visit again soon. Kindest regards!

2021-11-24Kimberly was so attentive and helpful in answering my questions — even when I could tell she is a busy woman! We rented their room for $25/pp for an hour which includes a dedicated server and wine tasting. I enjoyed all their wines but especially the sparkling rosé and stainless steel Chardonnay. The private room even has its own bathroom and couch seating area. It was a big relief to know our two toddlers could wander about safely especially with COVID still being a consideration as well as chilly temps. Kevin was so attentive during our stay and was knowledgeable about the wines as well. This was our second visit to the winery—the first was purely by accident as we discovered it on our way home from visiting a friend upstate. One of the very few places I felt comfortable with our baby during the earlier pandemic days (July 2020). I cannot recommend this place enough; I feel they truly care about their patrons and also have QUITE delicious wine to offer. The immediate area is truly gorgeous too. There was a confusion with a charge which was quickly remedied via email. Can’t wait to be back!

2022-03-27A favorite spot for us! Worth a trip to their lovely tasting room. We travel a little over an hour for our visits, but it’s totally worth it! Beautiful surrounding area and wonderful wines! 2022-06-20This was our first time visiting Tousey Winery and we were not disappointed. The winery offers a nice selection of wine varieties and a cafe with great food options. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! Definitely plan to visit again. We took advantage of our Harvest Hosts membership and parked overnight.

2022-02-27The wines here are really distinctive from most hudson valley wines, the reds are meaty and satisfying, on this trip, I didnt try the whites, but the wife really liked them. We ate here as well, and the charcuterie is from local farms and really good. The daughter of the owner baked the delicious Danish bread. We had a great time talking to the owner and bartender. A wonderful way to pass some time supporting and getting to know the Hudson valley community.

2021-08-02Went for a drive and ended up at Tousey Winery. Had a delicious glass of wine, the cabernet franc. Also a nice snack. We were waited on by a delightful young lady who knew the wines and menu well. Highly recommended a visit.

2022-04-10I visited Tousey Winery with a group of friends for a wine tasting. Our hostess gave a description of every glass of wine we tasted and each was delicious. I’d recommend the Rebellion Rose. In addition to the wonderful wine, we tried a large number of items off the menu. The flatbreads were all great but the artichoke flatbread was the best. My friends and I left feeling full and happy. Just an fyi that we didn’t drink and drive. The management at Tousey recommended a great driver who picked us up promptly both going to and leaving the winery.

2019-11-10Very understated, calming atmosphere. Rustic feel. We came only for the wine, so we did not sample the fare at the cafe. We have enjoyed their wines for years, though this was our first onsite. Did a tasting at the bar, with good input from staff. Will go again.
