Amazing service and friendly owner, Chris the owner offers competitive rates and they do everything from simple inspections and oil changes to complex engine and transmission work.As a former mechanic I wouldnt trust anyone else to work on my vehicles.

Chris and the rest of the team at Toy Auto are TRUE diamonds in the rough! My Audi broke down with a weird and potentially disastrous/expensive issue. The first mechanic I took it to gave me wrong info and didn’t even want to work on it. I gave Chris a call and he took the time to go over the problem with me to make sure it was something he was willing to do. When I finally got the car over there, instead of giving me the “everything’s gotta be replaced” phone call, Chris told me the problem was actually minor. My car was out of there in about 24 hours for a small fraction of the price I was terrified I was going to have to spend. Chris kept me updated every step of the way and went above and beyond, even going as far as to FaceTime me when my car was on the rack to show me the issue- this meant the world to me. He made sure to explain everything to me in a way that was clear and understandable. Not only are they great mechanics, but they are an honest shop. Do yourself a favor and call Chris at Toy Auto before going back to your regular mechanic or the dealer, you won’t regret it!The 30 min drive from my house in Bergen County is totally worth it. Toy Auto is now the go-to shop for my family!

I have not had my work completed yet (it will be done by tomorrow), but,I am a first time customer, referred by a friend. Chris had the mechanic look at my car immediately, determined I had a cracked radiator, gave me a price that was very in line with what I would pay at my own regular mechanic of 20 years. I needed a ride back to work and when he heard me calling a friend, he called me an UBER! So far, Customer service is top notch! I will update when my repair is done, but, I do not expect a problem as my friend has been going to here for years.Update. The service I received was excellent. The repair fixed my problem. They looked my car over and advised me of other work that needs to be done along with quotes. I was very happy with them and would return for sure!

I had a very good experience with this repair shop. They explained the scope of repairs and parts needed, the number of hours the procedures took and the total price the job would cost. They completed the work and the car was fixed - I felt they were very fair and honest. I would definitely use them again. I would also recommend them to anyone needing care repairs in the area.

The best, Chris and Dennis have come to my rescue more than once, I shouldn’t have waited this long to post a review but recently over the July 4th weekend Dennis in particular went above and beyond when no one else, including 2 somewhat local Hyundai dealerships were openly not interested in helping while my wife and I were stranded 30 miles from home (with the exception of Rockland Hyundai who turned out to be a great help but were out of range for Hyundai roadside service at the time).I’ve been taking my car to Toy Auto Center for close to 4 years now; Chris is a top shelf mechanic who always seems to know immediately when something’s wrong, and is really familiar with navigating the politics of insurance companies and dealerships. He and his crew are friendly, talented, fair, and most importantly honest, unquestionably. He’s even cut me a brake on pricing when I wasn’t looking for one. Over that holiday weekend I mentioned earlier, the Hyundai dealerships in Mahwah and Goshen told me openly they wouldn’t even be able to look at my car until 5 days later (while I’m stuck on the side of the road with an apparently useless 100,000 mile warranty), but Dennis at Toy Auto said he’d make the time if I could get there, which I did.Turned out there was a recall fix that didn’t take the first time; Dennis notified the nearest dealership (Rockland Hyundai) & put me in touch with Albert, who handled everything after that.I HIGHLY recommend Toy Auto. I will never take my car anywhere else. A+++

I was driving from NJ to Connecticut when the check engine light began flashing. I had the vehicle towed to Toy-Auto. Chris diagnosed the problem and didnt even charge me to do so. He treated me honestly and professionally.

Took my car there for inspection. They told me it needed an oxygen sensor.and wanted $350!!!! I did not believe them, so I took my car to another shop. The car passed inspection without replacing anything! Even if my car did need an oxygen sensor, the part cost $50 and takes 10 minutes to install. Dishonest thieves!!!!

GO ELSEWHERE! They SAY I needed a starter, dont think so! When I got my car back, I noticed that it didnt start up right a way and still doesnt! When I got my car back from them, when I got home I noticed there was grease on my car, on the top and on the sides of my car that I cant get off! When I got home from picking up my car I also noticed that paint from my car was scraped off on the back of my car and the back door on the drivers side was scraped/cracked off. When I called Chris (owner) about it he blamed it on someone else, not his establishment and was nasty about it all and would not take ownership of any of it and then put me on speaker (he didnt think that I knew thats what he did) after somebody else that works there walked in and he was very rude and than just hung up on me! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! BEWARE! They are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Its a BAD BUSINESS!
