I brought our RV into Tracy twice for two different manufacturers warranty issues. Rob and another tech, Eric, were very professional and friendly. Manager Bryan was also very helpful in solving the issues at hand. They took care of my motor home quickly and on the second visit were done by lunchtime! I live in the sticks so its great to have Tracy to bring my RV to in Albany.
I received a very rude reception by the service department this afternoon. I transport the brand-new trucks for Freightliner, I stopped in and went in the service department and let them know that I would be around back by the hoist and would get as much work done as possible before they closed, and I would finish up in the morning. I was told abruptly that I WAS finished and go to a motel. Even though the facility is open until 6 p.m., transporters must leave the property at 4 p.m. I informed this rude individual that I called a few hours ago and I was told that I could work until 5 p.m. and if I needed a little more time we could work things out. His response was, I dont know who you talk to but that is not how we operate here.
This is worst dealership I have ever seen. They are a ripoff. I went in for a computer diagnostics and charge me 5.4 hours of labor for it in $ 865. When I called in they were nasty and start abusing over the phone. Terrible customer service. I would not recommend any one to go there.
Ive been to many freightliner shops across the country and they all have their flaws. Most times they are extra busy and cant get your truck in till WHENEVER. I had the luxury of parking in front of this shop before they opened. Upon opening the service writer was outside getting info off the truck and prepare me to get in line to get my truck looked at.The service manager Bryan Winters was on point and with a great sense of urgency, got me in and looked at. Fair on pricing and without a doubt experienced. Id recommend these guys and will certainly come back here if Im in the area and need work done.
I work at a large leasing company in the Albany area. We deal with every vendor around on a daily basis. In this industry it is hard to find a crew like the one at Tracey Freightliner of Albany. Always a can do attitude and positive. Repairs are done quickly and are done correctly. We will definitely continue to lean on them for our service and parts needs.
I showed up at their service center in Albany at the end of the day desperate because the next day I would stand to lose two big money runs. They did not have an available mechanic but were able to work me in. I have been driving truck for a decade and you do not see this kind of service anywhere in the country. My hats go off to these guys. They could have made me wait till the morning. I believe the bad reviews are from people who have a bad attitude
Horrible Customer Service. Don’t even expect to get a dry pen to use to sign their documentation for payment. God forbid you ask a simple question with there Neanderthal mentality you’ll get nothing but rudeness. I’ve never been treated like this at any other Freight liner so why is this one allowed to treat customers with blatant disrespect and rudeness
Original review below for reference. Kevin store manager called back when I called again to complain explained what he was not happy with it. Had parts manager Dave call me. Dave did the research found that is indeed a metal base that works. 93 plus tax 99 instead of close to 200. He explained the other people are trained to use only OEM and that they do not know of crossover stuff. I will now recommend this place if you know something speak managers to get it fixed. Otherwise everybody was friendly. This place is not a freightliner. I called see if they had an airbag for 2013 cascadia drive. I gave the vin number he went to look it up can back and asked me if i want front or rear. this vehicle uses same for front and back. he would know that if he looked it up. he came back and then said I show a composite one I asked is that plastic or metal base answer was I do not know. I asked for price Based on price I knew that was the plastic. I asked if he had metal and was told that is the only one for this truck.not only one I had not only one made. I have replaced 3 of 4 airbags bought at different dealers all asked me if I wanted metal or plastic. I chose metal each time cheaper. in order to get metal I would have to get part number my self to give to them. To me that does not make sense. DO NOT GO HERE
Showed up off the road in an emergency situation, bought an alternator for my truck from them and asked if there was anyway they could install ASAP as I had 3 hours to get to my next job. They jumped on the job immediately and got me out the door in an hour. Thank you!!
Had a coolant leak I discovered while making a delivery thankfully I was next to Tracey Freightliner Albany,Ny I decided to stop in with little hopes that they could get to my tractor in time for my next load which I needed to get in and out their yard was full of tractors which is way my hopes well low but I met Rob at customer service and yes he immediately informed me that they well very busy but after a few moments he said to me he would hate to send me on my way and be broken down for some thing small that they could of fixed and agreed to take my tractor in customer service was great they kept me updated the part was In stock and a few hours later I was out the door I’m a owner operator and at must Freightliner’s the big carrier get the attention over the owner operators but these guys made me feel as if my business was also important Very happy and would recommend this place to any one Thank you Rob for the help and quick attention to the issue.
Im very dissatisfied with this so-called Freightliner my truck originally showed up to have the APU and the air conditioner worked on and I told them that the compressor went out it took them three and a half hours to realize the compressor went out and then the mechanic stated that the service brakes were leaking and put my truck out of service had to order the parts from Tennessee next day they fix my truck said its fixed could not even hook up to my trailer because the mechanic did not fix something right got ready to leave with my load and drop 70 pounds of air pressure with the trailer and it takes me an hour to move 5 feet now I am stuck another day on the same load waiting for them to fix whatever they initially screwed up

2021-09-07Rv had coolant leak on surge tank. Called them from side of road. They discussed issue and took info. Are overnighting the part and allowing us to stay in their lot. Said they will do everything they can to replace it tomorrow. So far very kind understanding staff. Had couple questions and allows took time to answer them. Hopefully all goes well tomorrow. Rob was gentleman on phone thanksFollow up to the above. The staff worked to do everything to get us on road the day we got there. Wasn’t meant to be due to way surge tank was situated. So set up in lot due to holiday weekend. All staff gave ideas and reassured us Tues will be on it early. So went to Niagara relaxed and came back Monday. Tues early as they promised they got us into shop guys came in very early to help us out. Went had breakfast and got the call. Finished come get it. OMG. The one and only bolt that they and I fought came right out and everyone there amazed me. I am retired GM master tech I know quality when I see it. These guys amazed me felt like I was watching young version of myself. No words describe what all they did. They took few extra time to help with tow dollie and even topped my fresh water off for the trip. Thanks to all there God works wonders when we least expect it.

2021-07-16Very rude staff dont want to accommodate you for anything. Bought the truck from their Syracuse branch and got the delivery from them, inspection was not done and they were not willing to do the inspection, got it done from somewhere else. Just to put the plates on they told me to buy the nuts and simply said they have nothing to do with the truck. Just because of this staff I am not buying freightliner trucks for my fleet, theyre the only people around and dont want to deal with them.

2020-09-22Yesterday morning stopped by about my truck was having issues on eng coolant leaks and was struggling to do regen. I understand that they’re busy and then took my truck in to get looked at. Surge tank and pressure sensors were the culprit. They promised they will get it done by next day and am grateful the works they had done on my truck. Happy I’m back on the road. I love everyone’s courtesy super friendly and willing to come back for future breakdowns.

2020-08-22No communication, they have no weekend staff so nothing gets done over the weekend and trucking is a 24/7 kind of business. I left a garbage bag in my truck that got smelly and instead of calling me to get me to take care of it they told my company that the truck was finished (which it wasnt) so I wasted 2 days and lost even more money. The staff is also very rude, the only reason I gave 2 stars is because they did eventually fix the truck and they did a decent job with that... but they failed everywhere else.

2019-04-02I showed up with a company truck with a major air leak early on a Monday, with no appointment, and was advised that the truck would probably not get into the shop until Wednesday with the backlog of work they had. While waiting for my dispatcher to come up with a plan to recover me so I could seat another truck, a tech came to get the truck, and it was fixed the same day.I think perhaps they estimated that the diagnosis and repair would be straightforward based on the symptoms in the complaint, since there was a leak between the compressor and the tanks. I dont think they would have tried to get it in so early unless they were reasonably confident that it wouldnt disrupt their workflow, but I certainly appreciated getting back on the road so quickly and not having to figure out how to get to my home terminal with a bunch of gear and then to figure out how to recover the truck a few days later. If you have an issue that requires dealer service, this shop is large and highly productive. I cant say that everyone would get such rapid service, because this particular problem might have been easier for them to bang out than others, but I had a very good experience, and am happy to be charging my tanks again.

2019-03-01Was towed in here on Wednesday morning when my truck broke down, and although they were flat out busy they got me into the shop first thing Thursday and had the problem diagnosed, fixed, and all the warranty paperwork sorted out by early PM.I am an OTR driver, Ive never been here before and quite likely never will again but they treated me like a valued customer. Thanks for getting me back on the road so fast, Im just a one truck owner op for a small Canadian company but you deserve 5 stars and my gratitude for your approach to your business and your clients.

2017-12-12I had a complex repair on a brand new RV. Needless to say, I was very frustrated to have this rig in service. Tracey did a great job keeping me posted on progress. Specifically, Erich, was very prompt and helpful. I had a status the whole time. When I needed to contact the manufacturer, Erich let me know and we were able to get immediate results. Finally, when the new RV was returned to me, it was spotless. Given he work they did, the fact that there was not a single grease mark is a credit to this dealer. Special thanks to Brian Winters for looking after the job as well.I made another trip to Tracey in early December for some routine maintenance and to resolve an error message I was getting on my RV. Once again, Erich provided excellent service. He was in constant communication with me as he provided updates. I had the RV back within a few days. When I arrived to pick it up, the RV was fully charged and warmed up. I wish I could get that service from the dealer where I purchased the vehicle. It is good to know I have a service provider that I can trust with my RV.

2017-09-12Let me start off by saying that Rob and Brian in the service department are very helpful and extremely professional. They went out of their way to make sure that things went smoothly and that I ended up happy with the service I received at Tracey Freightliner. The technician I spoke with took the extra time to make sure he fully explained what the problem was and what would be necessary to fix it, and when asked detailed questions was very knowledgeable. Another positive was that the truck was ready by the date they told me it would be. And when we picked up the truck and I was handed the final invoice I was pleased to find that the total cost was very close to what the original estimate amount was that had been quoted to me. My overall experience with Tracey Freightliner has been extremely positive.
