Trader Joes in other cities:
Great grocery store, the product are unique and fresh. There is a wide selection of items that trader joes only carries. There is lots of parking and is very accessible from the main road. I highly recommend the chocolate covered espresso beans, they are perfectly balanced.
Trader Joe’s is my happy place! I wish there was a location in Toronto. It’s one of my must- stop-shops (that was a mouthful) when we travel across the border. Their products are super unique, budget-friendly and a favorite among chefs and foodies. As a baker and home cook, I enjoy experimenting with new ingredients and flavors, and I try to buy organic and fair-trade products as much as I can. Each time I visit, there are new and clever takes on classic products that are very exciting to see! I always stock up on freeze dried strawberries and raspberries for baking, a few of the Pound + solid dark chocolate bars, and the cookie butter, which is truly addictive. I rarely buy packaged cookies, but Trader’s Joe’s Speculoos cookies are fantastic with a cup of coffee. Another new product that caught my eye are the old fashioned waffle cones. I tried several brands from our local stores, and never found one I liked. Trader’s Joe’s has a subtle vanilla flavor that doesn’t taste artificial and stays crispy. I was worried they would be crushed by the time we got home, however, they are packaged in pink cone shaped Styrofoam, so every cone is perfect! They also have super cute and cool greeting cards for only 99 cents! Love, love, love shopping here. I can’t wait for our borders to open up again!
The restroom had toilet paper on the floor with feces smeared on it next to the toilet ( I was mortified!) And the employee Danny completely blew me off when I asked where the baking ingredients were; he just pointed to the middle of the store, turned his back and walked away. Later, I was unfortunately stuck with him as my cashier. Instead of paying attention to my transaction, him and another young female cashier held a loud, obnoxious and unrelated conversation.I was annoyed to say the least. Really hoping for better next time.
I called Trader Joe’s about the Red Argentinian shrimp that keeps running out and the man on the phone I spoke with was nice enough to put some on the side for me VOLUNTARILY until I got off work. I get there and they send me over to who I believe was the manager to get the bags from the back and he was very rude. Telling me that I should be thankful to whoever did this for me as they normally don’t hold items bc if they do it for me then they have to do it for others and how they have to be discreet about it. And anytime I spoke he was cutting me off! It was just the way he was talking to me and it was rude! I didn’t twist anyone’s arm or even ask anyone to put anything on hold for me! The person did it voluntarily!!! Thank you to the young man for doing that. Also, the store wasn’t that busy and he told me to go to the cashier (duh) but pretty much escorted me all the way to one like I was gonna walk out with the bags of shrimp without paying! I won’t go back there unless I’m desperate! I’d give them zero stars if I could but the one star is for the man who helped me on the phone.
Believe it or not, it was our first time there. What an amazing experience. We found some interesting items. All of Trader Joes products are reasonably priced and Yummy. The cashiers are pretty amazing too! I just wish they werent so far away. We will definitely make a return yrip.
I was thrilled to hear that a Trader Joe’s finally opened in this area. I’ve been a fan for years after living in the NYC area for many years. I am happy to report that it is the standard layout and product offering in other locations I’ve visited. The decorations are super cute and catered to the area with a giant Buffalo statue dressed in a Hawaiian shirt and face mask because of the pandemic. If I had to sum up Trader Joe’s in a few sentences I’d say they are a smaller grocery store with mostly novelty/healthyish items that are almost all private label house brands. They do offer staples but many items are staples with a twist that make eating in or making lunches for work much more fun! They also excel in frozen meals/ meal kits that are delicious and have a lot of ethnic variety. There are also a lot of different and cool snack foods. Finally, have fresh flowers, specialty seasonal items, toiletries and body care items. Best of all their products are pretty affordable and won’t break the bank. Some of my house favorites are:-Orange chicken- frozen foods-chicken quesadillas- Frozen foods-olive tapenade- there is a refrigerated one and also one in a jar, both delicious-dark chocolate peanut butter cups-scandanavian swimmers- gummies-cheese section- in particular the unexpected cheddar-gluten free bagels-cookie butter-trail mix made with almonds, cashews and dried cranberries-frozen chocolate covered banana slices- you would swear it’s ice cream!During covid the store is limiting how many people can enter at once. People wait outside and associates are there to monitor capacity but the lines move quickly. Upon entering you are given hand sanitizer and a cart wipe. Everyone is wearing a mask, even the Buffalo statue, and the store feels safe.Last, make sure to bring your own shopping bags. You can buy some if you forget yours. Trader Joe’s was one of the first stores to mandate this. I hope more locations open soon in the southtowns!
We drove down to Buffalo just to come to Trader Joes. Besides the quality choices at this place, the people who work here are really happy and really nice. I learned that they were having a feast in the back for staff members and also offering massages. No wonder people are so happy to work here which translates into great customer service friendly people. We had already paid for our food and had forgotten a bag of popcorn, handed the cashier simply said dont worry about paying for it and marked it off for us. A place that doesnt nickel-and-dime you will always earn my future business.
TJs reminds me of a Lexington Coop. They sell alot of organic foods, that range from produce to meats. 95% of the store items is their own name brand things. You can find alot of neat foods here, I love their fried fruits especially the ginger. The prices is a little bit higher than a typical Tops grocery store. But the quality of the products is worth the extra price.
Took my friend here for her first visit. She loved it as i told her she would. She mentioned it to the lovely check out person, who rang the bell. I received flowers for bringing her in and she received a free grocery bag!Excellent customer service as always👍 That is why i travel 50 minutes to go to this store. Wish there was one closer to East Aurora!
We come here sometimes because its far from home but they have really well priced food and a lot of it is healthy. Wish we had a Trader Joes closer to Cheektowaga but, the staff are always really nice and fast at their job. Its always a good experience to shop here. And we get a lot for our buck.
I was greeted by such friendly staff. I found the shelves to be very well stocked. So many brands and varieties of food yet for a semi-small space it didnt even seem crowded because it was arranged so beautifully. I would certainly recommend this store to anyone. I also appreciate the great paper bags with sturdy handles.
This was the first time I was at this location. Place was very clean and the staff were super nice. I love that they take your cart remove the food from it, then bag it for you. My only complaint is some of the prices are a little high. I found some of the same items in Wegmans for less. I will go here again.
Went for the organic items, and I was pleasantly surprised by the selection and the pricing..Extremely reasonable. Yes some items were pricey but for organic milk, potatoes, lettuce, spinach, thickly sliced cheddar cheese and many other items I did not buy the pricing were within reasonable standards. Tops has higher prices on these items and they are not even organic. Highly recommended.
They have an amazing selection of delicious products, great prices and some of the nicest staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. They gave us a bouquet of flowers today just for shopping there and thanked us for coming in. It’s such a refreshing experience to be treated this way (especially while grocery shopping). Keep up the good work Trader Joe’s team!
I go to Trader Joes regularly to buy about 40% of my daily food. The quality and service during this pandemic has been outstanding. The health security measures are great. The variety of products is amazing, always beings updated. I am vegan, and their alternatives are excellent. Their drinks, produce, frozen produce, chips, and gosh everything is really top notch. Good job!
I love everything Ive ever gotten at Trader Joes. I made my monthly trip to fill my freezer with gluten free bagels, and picked up a gorgeous hyacinth plant, potted tulips, and tons of other goodies. This location is always clean and organized, and there have been greeters at the door with sanitizer and cart wipes throughout covid.
Great and safe shopping trip! Greeters had hand sanitizer and a cart or basket ready for you, when walking in the front door. Was quite busy but not over crowded and people and staff were very polite about personal space, which has been a big thing for me since well before the pandemic. I love Trader Joes for their unique and delicious foods that you dont find elsewhere. Salsa, cookie dough cookie butter, scallion pancakes, mixed colored carrots, and more! Check them out! A+++
While in the store earlier today an employee & I were chatting. I told her that Id moved to VA 2 years ago & there isnt a Trader Joes anywhere near me, so I stop in when Im town. When she asked why Id come for a visit I told her that my friend had passed away & I was here for her service. She gave her condolences & a few minutes later approached me & gave me flowers. She explained that Trader Joes was happy that I always made a trip while in town & how sorry they were about the loss of my friend.I already loved this store & their great employees, but am just so touched by the empathy I was shown today. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being such a great place to shop!
This is my favorite grocery store! I grew up going to this store in Massachusetts, where Im originally from. Ive lived get for over three years and Im finally getting around to discovering this store branch more.I love their salads, veggie, dairy and freezer sections the most! Ive been cooking more since quarantine and Im getting great inspiration from Trader Joes!Since quarantine, I feel that the employees have worked very hard to create a non fearful environment for us customers. they have everything well prepared and well sanitized before we come in. They have a system in place and always assuring us that they have our best interests in this crazy time. I love going there and feeling at peace. Thank you to all the employees for all that you do!
Love the customer service at Trader Joes. Lost my glove while I was shopping. Mentioned it to an employee in one of the aisles. Less than 5 minutes later that same employee came over and handed me my glove. She took it upon herself to go to the desk to see if someone turned it in. One of the many reasons I love shopping here!
It can be a very busy store with a lot of rude customers who are looking at things they dont understand and normally wouldnt want to buy but because its currently trendy and organic they need to get it. For a business in the area thats great and if you as a customer who wants fresh produce, milk and eggs then 👍 but if youre not used to the store such as this you would still expect it to have a better flow and be more organized as to what is in each aisle. The flower, home soup/home whatever, and produce sections were very nice with their selections as well as the egg and milk section, everything else.......well, good luck.
One of my favorite places. The selection is amazing as well as the prices. If you are looking to try some out of the ordinary food at home or even seasonal items, this is the place. Some days they give out flowers to their customers which is such a nice gesture. Their flower selection is beautiful. The flowers last pretty long too for a great price. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
Unique and terrific food items that run the gamut of everything I like! An exceptional, helpful staff! Overall a truly enjoyable shopping experience! - I left that review within the last 6 months, but today is Thursday, 2/25/2021. I felt that it was extremely important to add to my last positive review of this very unique, fine and helpful food market... A particular manager of this Trader Joes on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Amherst, New York, Aaron is a terrific person, a true professional who has always been friendly and helpful. This isnt saying that everyone else in this store isnt as helpful, as everybody always is. Everyone in this store is an 11 on a 1-10 scale. No matter who you speak with, whether its the people helping you bag your groceries at the checkout who make sure that cold is with the cold, veggies are all in one bag, etc., or if its someone unpacking produce or other products on the floor. You can ask anyone in this store a question, and youll always get a smile and a good feeling with your answer. Theyre all some of the finest and most helpful people Ive ever found in any store anywhere Ive ever shopped at in my 66 years on planet Earth. But now back to this stores manager, Aaron. Aaron is just so quality oriented, with such an innate sense of people (something I think you have to be born with), that if I was still in the middle of my 32 years of owning restaurants, I would definitely attempt to steal him away. When you meet Aaron and speak with him, even more so if youre business oriented and part of your job is dealing with employees who have to deal with the public, you get a strong sense of Aarons professionalism. The fact is that Aaron truly likes people, and is very pleased when he can be of help. This is the basis of one of his finest attributes, which is company representation in its highest form. Aaron has become an acquaintance whom I look forward to seeing, saying hello to and having a bit of a chat with when I go into Trader Joes on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Amherst, New York. Its such a pleasure to know that people like Aaron are out there in the retail world. Besides the store and all its people making me feel comfortable, Im sure Im not the only person who looks forward to going to Trader Joes on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Amherst, New York, knowing that Aarons professionalism, helpfulness and friendliness will be there to greet them. Im sure the employees respect him as much as I do, since my innate business sense tells me that they know that if they allow him to help them to be their best, they will definitely prosper and succeed.
I went to Trader Joes for the very first time and I loved it! Great unique products which I would love to try them all! I bought alot of items and only spent $100. Prices were reasonable and it was very clean. Busy on a Sunday so I had to wait in line outside store because they would let a person inside when someone left the store. I cannot say anything bad about this place, other than you will want to try everything! Fun place
I love this place. It is one of the nicest grocery stores Ive been to and it has a lot of good and unique foods and for a low cost. Their salmon is so fresh and doesnt break your bank. Their fruit is always plentiful. They even sell ready to cook spinach and cheese dip (hello, housewarming parties!) Its pretty far away, but it is in a prime location (next to Barnes and Noble and in the same plaza as the Super Target and Christmas Tree Store). I always enjoy the helpful and welcoming employees that work here and always get a kick out of seeing one of the Buffaloes dressed up for the accompanying season (and is kept company by the other one right outside the bookstore!)
Trader Joes has been very organized and very clean during the pandemic and has made shopping quite easy and efficient. Their staff is always friendly. I have recently been obsessed with trying all of their hot sauses.... havent been disappointed yet. A lot of the Trader Joes items you cannot get anywhere else and everything they sell is delicious and high quality.
The best staff of any supermarket in area. They are always friendly and helpful. I love the selection of frozen seafood, esp. scallops and shrimp. Also like they always have a tasting station in back of store. I have found many things I like, that I may not have purchased without having tried them in store. Big family friendly bathrooms in rear of store are always a plus. The fresh flowers and ever changing plant selection are always great and a pleasant purchase to brighten your day.
I have heard so much about Trader Joes and was so excited to finally visit one. After visiting this location it truly lives up to the all the hype. A variety of different and unique options, that were priced very reasonably. Staff went out of their way to help when asked, and even grabbing product out of the back for us. Even though the store was packed on a Saturday Morning, the lines move very quickly. Cashiers packed all of our items with care, and never stopped smiling. Thank you to the staff for a great experience! Now, Trader Joes please come to Canada!
I love Trader Joe’s. I love their employees, the ever changing unique products, and the speciality items. That is why I gave them 5 stars. HOWEVER there are so many things that make trying to shop there that are super annoying. 1). They have a tiny parking lot. It doesn’t matter what day or time you go. You cannot find a spot. The plaza owners keep cramming businesses in that plaza. The traffic is ridiculous in that area. If you try to enter the parking lot good luck trying not to get hit. 2). Since it’s so busy the store is always packed. I am not talking about a little busy. You literally cannot walk through the store. You can’t look at things. You can’t pick up items. And people are super oblivious as to what is going on around them. 3). With that being said the customers in there are terrible. I hate being mean but there are so many “Karen’s”. Where there are located is kinda in an affluent area and everyone acts like they are better than you. It’s nothing to have 3 or 4 people blocking an already impossible aisle chatting away so no one can shop. I mean I should be great full that they are busy so they don’t get shut down but maybe the higher ups should have made a better decision on where to put the store.
Took my roommate here and it was a pretty cool time!!! He is the type to stop, read labels and educate you on whats what so Im glad no one seemed to aggravated at us since it was fairly busy... The area was clean and everything was well stocked. Prices are fair and the quality was top notch. Highly recommend coming here for your healthier alternatives of food and better quality!
Of all the stores Trader Joes continues to go above and beyond especially during this pandemic. They have an employee controlling people coming into and out of the store and supplying hand sanitizer. Another inside wiping down carts and another going around the store wiping everything else down. Clearly marked and laid out 6 measurements at checkout. Of course they are also very well stocked up and common items they dont have in their branding they have another supplier in its place.
Not a place I traditionally shop on a week to week basis, due to the small overprice of some products, BUT Trader Joes cannot be beat when it comes to their seasonal goodies! Fall to Christmas is the best time to make a trip there. Pumpkin spice everrrrrrrything and then onto fun harvest and winter season flavors after. Definitely a place to grab unique gifts for the foodie in your life! Fun seasonal treats for kids too.
Beautiful, interesting grocery store. Love their flyer. Very clean. Amazing how well organized and efficiently run. Top of the line staff. Well stocked. Big deals everywhere. Perfect location on Niagra Falls Boulevard near Barnes and Noble, Lowes. Medium size. Outstanding shopping experience. A lot of fun. In this case its like the pictures speak volumes.
Not that I agree with the covid 19 plan over all. Trader Joes does a phenomenal job. They spend the money to have two people at the entrance, handing out wipes and sanitizer. Limit the amount of people in the store, AND, everyones wearing masks above their noses. Very pleasant shopping experience.
I love the organic produce variety as well as the selection of organic cereals, granola bars and organic frozen veggies and meal options! Trader Joe’s has great novelty baked goods and wonderful breads. They have many gluten free items as well as vegan choices. It is so fun to shop here, more of an experience than a sad trip to the local supermarket! Trader Joe’s always has great taste stations where you are free to sample signature TJ foods! The staff is awesome, too!
Great local grocery spot. I come here often from Canada to buy groceries and the store is amazing every time. Its a small store but it manages to pack in quite a wide selection of products! The prices are very reasonable, surprisingly low compared to whats across the border. Every staff member is always very friendly and ready to help, and its clear that each and every one of them loves the store and the customers.
Fruit and vegetable truck didnt arrive the day I visited so unfortunately cannot comment on quality or variety. Basically the cupboards were essentially bare. However what they did have was very expensive. Other products varied between good deals and no way would I pay that for this. Trader Joes products are actually pretty yummy and decently priced. All and all I will give it another try, hopefully I can get some fresh fruit and veggies. If it were closer to my home, I would shop regularly for certain items but definitely go elsewhere for others.
I dont buy the food here. Im just not a Trader Joes person so it wouldnt be fair to review it based on that but I do go in every two weeks for fresh flowers. They have the best prices on beautiful fresh flowers! Ill buy three bouquets of the alstroemeria and with the flower food packets they will last Almost 2 weeks if I change the water every few days. Quality beautiful flowers!
Trader Joes is fabulous. I shop there wherever I am in USA. If I lived in the US, likely Id do most if not all my grocery & household shopping at a Trader Joes. Always a pleasant experience & great quality interesting products & excellent quality produce at very fair pricing. Brilliant marketing model.
I would just like to recognize the employees at Trader Joes on their outstanding efforts to keep everyone safe while shopping. And to Rich the one at the front door giving safety instructions and applying hand sanitizer to everyone entering the store excellent job Trader Joes your employees are excellent and Ill always be grateful
My family love shopping at Trader Joe’s the staff are so friendly, the store is clean. Also reasonable prices. On July 23 I stop by at trader joe to buy flower for my wife for our 15 years anniversary after I picked up the flower and get in line to pay one of the staff came and took the price tag told me that I am all set. She just make my day. I would like everyone to stop by trader joe and experience the friendly staff. Thank you to all trader joe employees and owner.
The people that work here are very helpful but because of covid-19 some of the people that work at the entrance of the store need an attitude adjustment. Cant wait for covid to be under control. Great products and service we shop here every week. I especially love the heirloom chicken.
This is a small grocery store. Specifically, I returned to buy more of their bacon, which is terrific! As is the maple flavored chicken sausage. And the really good gluten free fresh bread. Nuts are reasonably priced. If you havent been there, check it out. Then I wont need to tell you. You will return.
Awesome store. I usually find good deals for produce here. Sometimes the price is hit or miss with other items. They have different craft beers that arent available at other stores and unique frozen foods to try! And they always have samples available every time I went. I would go more often if it was closer to where I lived. We stop by once a month or so when were in the neighborhood.
Funky cool store. You will find things here that you dont see in other grocery stores. Many Trader Joe generic products are awesome. Great milk , butter, juices etc. The frozen foods are high quality. Cashiers are top notch, fast and courteous. Also paper bags, your stuff stays in place. I dont get why everyone switched to plastic, groceries fall out and roll around the trunk.
Chose your time as it can be busy both aisles and check out. However range of products, especially own brand excellent. Wish they would bring back their own brand 75cl bottles of beer, but 6 packs of regular own brand good value and quality. Not a place for daily needs but high class treats, certainly.
I go here for certain things...tuna, cherry juice, orange chicken, organic pears and some other stuff that only Trader Joes carries...some of my favorites got discontinued...I feel that if the item is selling well that this should not happen. When I go get a product and they are out of it...that means its in high demand...but lo and behold, it still gets discontinued...wait what??? They must be going by national sales and not regional sales. Not cool. However I love going here, like I said..I dont do all my shopping here...but it is time and money well spent.
I drive the 14 miles to shop here because its so worth it. Best place for Olive oil, sustainable fish, organic and the best gluten free flour blend I have ever used. Sure wish there open another one in the area! The staff are awesome. Excellent customer service!Avoid shopping here on a Saturday unless you like overcrowding and walking the isle inch by inch. Its crazy!!
I love them all! My only complaint is that something you loved one time you went is often unavailable the next time, or in another store. I fine it hard to keep a mental list of must have items, as they are rarely there twice. If you find something you love, go back immediately and stock up, is my advice.
What can I say...we love this west coast crunchy groove feel health minded store / market. Small but great quality and friendly staff with a great variety of high end food products. Always free samples of new and culinary cool products. Cant say enough. Its a staple and we drive a long way just to shop there.
I love Trader Joes especially when I am entertaining and want to buy special crackers and cheeses. Their cheese prices are soooooo reasonable - far below those of local large chains. They have excellent snack foods and treats like dark chocolate covered pretzels! Guests always ask where I find these types of foods!
Trader Joes is great. Some things are a little more than youd pay at Wegmans however there are some items which are a really good deal. I love to buy fresh flowers from here. I recently bought a Dozen Pink Roses for 6.99! Cant beat that. All the employees are super friendly as well.
Trader Joes is Trader Joes. You should Google the brand sometime. The story about the family is intriguing, and the difference between it and Aldi is pretty funny - something about one brother wanting to sell cigarettes in-store and the other not... Either way, neither brand here in the states sell them, but abroad I hear the stores are pretty rad. The staff is always friendly, but the place is ALWAYS packed. Try to avoid going on weekends if at all possible, and if you have kids, look for Buffalo Joe Jr...
Trader Joes is a boutique grocery chain. It has fresh produce and flowers to begin with, but it doesnt stop there. Hundreds of proprietary items including packaged goods, frozen prepared foods and canned/bottled goods, dairy, packaged meats, cheeses, etc. The focus is on prepared foods, condiments, snacks, and the like. All items meet high standards for quality and flavor. And prices are very reasonable. Whats there not to like?
Excellent customer service!! Customer associate Shawnie was GREAT...I mentioned that I was visiting from Charlotte & she related to her personal experience of working in Raleigh. Additionally, she gifted my sisters as first time shoppers. We had a great time & lastly because I mentioned I was going to my mothers grave site.. she offered flowers. So warming & considerate. Thank you Trader Joes ...you train your associates WELL & , its appreciated
Selection is fantastic, with unique items and some things you wont find most other places. If you do, youll likely pay more. Personally, i especially like their bakery items. This is just one of my favorite grocery stores in the area. Some prices are higher here or there, but at the time Im posting this I hear people complaining about food prices daily anyway.
The Trader Joe’s in buffalo is great. The only exception is that the meat and fruits get spoiled quickly and the worker could be a little bit more friendlier and less stuck up.Update: I got creamer that was leaking while checking out. One of the workers replaced it with another leaking creamer that was also spoiled when I checked at home.
I go to Trader Joes at least once a month. Emplyres are friendly and helpful. I count on Trader Joes for the best bread to make French toast. I also love their super nutty toffee cereal and their butter almond cookies. I also always buy my clarified butter from them. When I need to buy flowers, I get them from. Trader Joes because their arrangements are beautiful and their prices are low.
Trader Joes is the best store for grabbing something on the go, to cheeses, lots of wine, frozen foods, fresh veggies, and treats from all over the world at a reasonable price! I think they hire friendly people intentionally, as employees are very friendly and helpful. Great prices, great variety, and specialties you can only find there. Love Trader Joes! And the Belgium Chocolate - yum! Highly recommended!
Great clean place! People will try their best to help you with anything you are looking for. I wanted a certain item that they were out of ,but they had them on a truck and the guy searched the truck to find it . I had my item before I left the store. Very nice staff, feels like family when you shop there. Great selection of items that you cant find in a regular market. My hubby and I love Indian food and they have the best frozen garlic Naan. You heat it in oven and enjoy. We are hooked. They have great breads and much much more!! This is a must check out place!!
I have a group of friends that travels every few months to Buffalo just to buy some groceries here. The staff is so friendly, the free coffee and samples are great. If you haven’t tried something or are unsure about sometimes the staff will open a package just so you can try it. The organic no sugar added mangos, the salted plantain chips and their pomegranate white tea are staple items I MUST get every time.
Trader Joes has become a staple ever since I started being more proactive about eating a healthier, primarily plant-based organic diet. I made a comparison chart of their prices with two other major groceries in the Western New York and only a handful of items are either not found or slightly more expensive at TJ than elsewhere, but its not even worth mentioning as the items are very specific to my needs, which I doubt many others would have. Their selection of organic produce and frozen fruits/veggies should be enough to keep customers coming back, but if it isnt, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff would seal the deal. Ive never met nicer employees at groceries than the ones at Trader Joes.
I thought I figured out the best time to go with the least amount of people, but I am still amazed there’s seems to be no rhyme or reason when their busy. But I do love everyone gets that this place has amazing food you want to stare at and not just pluck and move on, patience is a virtue here, but that’s part of the magic. Also the .84 IPA is on point.
Unique grocery store for USA - has a lot of off brand and tasty options - best way to describe it is a poor mans whole foods minus the organic and healthier options !Ultra clean and neat location with very efficient staff. Prices are great and offer put of the ordinary products to change up your routine grocery run.
Located in a relatively suburban area, this Trader Joe’s was still pretty busy when I went. They have lots of good items, and while the prices are a bit expensive (especially coming from Canada), the quality seems higher and the food healthier and less processed than other places.
My wife and I are almost 70 yrs old and have done a lot of different grocery store shopping trips but both agree that this is truly a store that treats everyone with respect.Besides having great and different products, we would like to thank Trevor for his kindness and would like to adopt him as our grandson if he would be willing to visit us in Toronto. We will always stop in and shop when in the area.
The Japanese fried rice is absolutely addictive. I’m serious, between that and the vegetable spring rolls we might need a 12 step program. They also have the only plant based creamer I like, the coconut creamer. The Great Canadian bread is my favorite store bought bread. The vegan/vegetarian options are plentiful and delicious. Also adore their packaged arugula and guacamole. I could go on... but I’m hungry now.
Staff is always friendly and helpful. Trader Joes makes it both easy and difficult to find healthy eating options. They have lots of healthier, off-beat options. But at the same time you have to be careful because some of the products that appear to be healthy are high calorie. Anyway, who cares, TJ is awesome. A++ cheese section.
I am a regular shopper at your Amherst location and have always had pleasure shopping, always greeted by friendliness.Yesterday was an experience I’d like to share with store manager about Roaschell (sorry if misspelled). Was greeted by very friendly cashier and mentioned I have great choices said I was stocking up with healthy and easy to prepare food for after surgery.Just then Roaschell came to bag, and heard our conversation, she mentioned she was in pre-med. She was very careful not to over load my bags when she noticed my cane. After our discussion about my upcoming hip surgery she left and came back with a bouquet of beautiful flowers for me.Then she proceeded to insist on taking my cart to my car, load it and said she will pray for me this weekend. Her thoughtfulness certainly wasn’t expected and made my day and experience. This overly joy from this young lady left me with pureHappiness and Comfort.Thank you
Great grocery place. If there is a grocery store where people are happy while they are shopping, it is Trader Joe’s. I have a ton of respect for these folks. We love their customer service, products, and the grocery shopping experience. It does not feel like work to go there. We make a special trip to the Blvd to visit TD. I would have loved if TD was on Transit.
Trader Joe’s seems to have a cult like following that Ill be honest I get and I also dont get. Some prices are better than or equal to Wegmans, which can be incredibly overpriced, but they are certainly much cheaper than Whole Foods, so I feel like this store is the perfect in-between of both of them. I like that the store is small- I hate a huge grocery store that takes me an hour to walk around. This I can go in and get out, and grab my staples. Their fresh produce is too expensive and I never purchase them there. I always go for the prepared foods and frozen foods- they have the best flavors and selections, more so than Wegmans, and at great prices. I always grab a thin crust pizza with ham, some frozen Indian curries, some frozen seafood, and a TON of cookies. They have the best macaroons, and frozen mochi. They also have great body care items- I love their lavender salt scrub, and hand soap. My friends swear by their conditioners. I also love their selection of coffee and teas- I like the coconut green tea best and it comes in a cute itn. They have a great selection of beer and snacks like popcorn/chips/etc, so I always end up with a few bags of kale chips, popcorn, and potato chips of some variety. They also have those awesome giant chocolate bars. I will always try something new like a box of soup, or a new frozen entree I haven’t tried before. Their checkouts are awesome, so you don’t have to unload the cart- they do it for you. And they have THE CUTEST reusable shopping bag selection- I have several, including the cooler tote. The staff is always incredibly friendly and give you a feel good vibe for shopping there.
Closest TJs to Toronto so worth the drive after work or on the weekend. Highway driving the whole way with a couple tolls. Great variety of fresh and frozen veggies and meat, prepared foods and lots of snacks both healthy and not so much. Their in house brand food is surprisingly tasty (cheeses are great!) and the frozen foods actually taste good when heated up. Even with the exchange the price per meal is very good. A few of the meals have been misses and the stock can change much to disappointment - but that can happen anywhere. It is close to other supermarkets and Target as well as other stores and services.
In my opinion Trader Joes is the best in so many ways. Their prices and the quality of their produce cannot be beaten. For example growing up in Ireland where we had our own Chickens that produced the best eggs in town. The finest chickens in Ireland, as my father would say. Take a good look at that 🍊 color because you may not see it or taste anything like it again Well the good news is that I found those eggs in Trader Joes. As for their fruit have you tried their red grapes I go to heaven and back Everytime I bite into one. Listen I could go on and on but you got to go there and taste a bit of everything to believe me. Only then will you know what I am talking about. Is there such a saying as You got to taste it to believe it? If not I just invented it. You got to taste it to believe it.
I can start by saying that Im a huge TJs fan, their foods are hard to beat from the less-expensive gourmet cheeses to their fresh meats (no deli counter but their packaged meats are always very fresh). And they always have a sample, which is a sweet bonus, though half the time youll end up buying what you tried (with the low costs thats not a terrible thing though).Despite the quality items this TJs falls kind of flat to me. I get inconsistent service at this store, sometimes with it great and sometimes with the store associate/cashier making me wonder why theyre working there when they seem so miserable. And its a very odd shaped store, with hard to navigate aisles ... Its the only one in western New York though so Im grateful to have it.
As a Canadian Living in Toronto this is the closest Trader Joes to me. I try to make three or four trips a year to stock up on some of my Trader Joes favorites. The prices are great (even with the horrific exchange rate) the selection is fantastic, and the price of fresh flowers is amazing. I love Trader Joes!

2022-04-10I rarely rate TJs stores less than five stars and this location is no different. Its well stocked with our staples and prices are of course unbeatable. Service is always cheerful and helpful, and parking is never an issue.

2022-04-29Outstanding employees when it was time for me to go up and stand in line for the cashier one of the open cashiers the gentleman came right over and got me and said come on over here Ill help you Ill be glad to help you and he was so friendly seem like he really loved his job. You dont see this too often now. People just dont seem to want to keep their job go above and beyond what is required but thats not what we were seeing at trader Joe. Keep it up whatever youre doing with your employees its working

2022-05-03I love Trader Joes! Best, unique healthy finds that a reasonably priced and helpful, friendly staff. But more often than not, the customers behave like pushy, grabby Karens...not sure why.

2021-06-06Trader Joes has the best customer service in the area. Their employees will take time to talk with you and you will never fell like you are being rushed. Cart wipes and hand cleaner always available at front of store, most other places I go have stopped doing this or their supplies are empty.Their frozen food selection is full of items you will never find elsewhere. Mandarin Orange chicken is so good youll want to stock up. Chocolates and other goodies from Europe at reasonable prices. A lot of organic and non-gmo foods. You will find things here that you dont see anywhere else. And their cheese selection is amazing. If you are wondering how something tastes you can ask to try it.Gluten free products that actually taste really good can be found here like breads, pasta, pancake mix, waffles, cookies at prices lower than other stores in the area. And the fresh flowers are amazing! This store reminds me of a neighborhood store; how it used to be everywhere but no longer is.

2022-06-15I love being at Trades Joes and look for items that I love 😍. This one is no different! Honestly speaking I could find what I was looking for...May be they run out! But that doesnt change anything. Stuffs are very nice and kind.

2022-03-13Trader Joes is a once a month staple for us. There are specific items that we get there that we can get nowhere else, at least not as good as. Four out of five stars only because they dont always have the item in stock that Im looking for. They are average items you would think that they would always have on hand, but I dont know theyre ordering process. The staff is always so very helpful and if they dont know an answer they will go find the answer for you. Price wise, reasonable to expensive. Depends on what youre looking for. I always get the Frozen brussel sprouts, tiny peas, chicken burrito bowl (which is amazing), cowboy caviar, mahi burgers, cauliflower gnocchi, Asian and Mexican riced cauliflower stir fry and the low carb flour tortilla shells. We, if not hundreds or more people wished there was a Trader Joes in the Southtowns. The Old orchard fresh in Hamburg would be ideal. Who do we need to talk to about this !!!! Lol !

2021-05-17I am just over the moon and absolutely mind blown with the customer service at Trader Joe’s. It was outstanding! It was the first time I have been there since the pandemic started! I live out in the south towns so to make the trip sometimes is long. But it was totally worth it. I was greeted upon entering the store!I was originally there looking for the little succulent and the employee kindly showed me right where they were (funny enough right at the front of the door, don’t know how I missed them!)She also showed me the beautiful orchid I ended up getting (not pictured) and then also showed me their “Secco” wine selection! She gave me opinion on the strawberry and raspberry being her favorite! I wish I could remember her name she was so kind and helpful!!I don’t usually take the time to review a grocery store, but my overall experience was amazing!I can’t wait to go back and try some other Secco flavors!!!(I also purchased a non aerosol dry shampoo, best purchase I’ve made on a dry shampoo!!! I can’t stop raving about it!)I don’t care how long the trek is out there I will make it every time!

2019-04-28The place was very nice and clean. The samples were also very delicious. Ive of the best places to get floral arrangements and cards. Both bathrooms were unisex. Customers can choose either hand dryer our regular papertowels. The grocery store is not too huge and intimidating.

2022-05-06Very nice, but small inside. Different types of food and good prices. Parking lot is to small for all the businesses in there. Be careful while driving.
