Trader Joes in other cities:
It trader joes in the heart of SOHO!!..Its organized with a great flow. Well stocked with there seasonal products. Light selection of wine and beer.TIP: of you love trader Joes wine/ wine prices. Go to the trader Joes in union square on the east side. Its the only trader Joes in the area to carry frugal wine.
Worst service Ive ever had at a TJs. The Australian-accented man that checked me out blew his nose and then without cleaning his hands grabbed my receipt to hand it to me while I was in the middle of packing my bag. As i neared the end of my packing, he interrupted me to suggest i move to some tables (that dont exist) to pack my bag... As i made my way to the exit literally 15 TJs employees were loitering near the door. Really poor service. The Dekalb TJs is far superior always friendly and efficient and kind, unlike this disaster of a store.
How amazing is the experience at Trader Joe Spring Street.I was alone with my 3 kids for grocery shopping and the service was incredible! Ninnie gifted my kids with stickers, they packed up all the groceries (and as some of the others crew members were free, they came and helped Ninnie so my wait time is not too long) and Ninnie even escorted me to the car with Karole and helped me load so that I could sit with the kids inside. Thanks again so much for the INCREDIBLE service 🙏🙏🙏
We visited on a Sunday evening a month after they opened. We expected the place to be really busy just like our neighborhood TJ’s in Brooklyn but it felt almost deserted and I could count the number of shoppers wandering around. We were done scanning the entire store and with our purchase in 15 minutes. The floor space is huge, which is a welcome change but they didn’t have some of our TJ’s staples. Some shelves were also near-empty and no one was re-stocking them. I do expect the variety of products to expand over time. Customer service was friendly as expected.
I used to come to this store often when my office was open. I came here recently after dinner to pick up some essentials items (aka snacks). The store wasnt very packed and the lines were moving fast. The prices seems on par with other TJ locations. Its a great addition to the area. The grocery store is also located near the C and E line.
Absolutely fantastic! Its the best of all the ones Ive visited this far. Its larger than the one I used to go in NJ, and its very well stocked and prices are surprinsgly good and actually probably cheaper than other grocery stores in NJ. As always lots of own branded products. One thing I cannot get anywhere at this price and quality it their pea protein powder. For $11 its a no brainer. Pure pea protein and nothing else. Also fruit prices are very competitive, and else. Super friendly staff, clean, well illuminated, convenient, fast ch checkout!!
This is one of my favorite locations in the city. It is less crowded. Clean, neat, organized. Staff is always nice and friendly. The only thing that I dont really like about this location is that on some days music is way too loud. I guess, they do it when its to slow, so employees wont fall asleep. Otherwise, the store is very nice.
With wider aisles and more plentiful fresh stock than others around the city, this TJs location is a delight to shop - when its not crowded. The phrase, Hell is other people, could have been invented to describe this place. Weekend visits are out of the question. As with all TJs the queue can look outrageous, but it does move efficiently. Whats impossible to mitigate is when there are crowds of directionless shoppers milling about like the Walking Dead, not actually shopping. I usually step in and observe for a minute before I decide whether my reserve of patience is sufficient to battle the horde. Team members here seem to be upbeat, friendly, and happy to help, so kudos to the HR department. In sum, issues with the experience at this market are more owing to popularity than to poor management. AYOR.
This location is laid out so well. I visited twice in one day while in the neighborhood! Seeing how what I had gone back for was already low in stock and in a different place, I would say this place is quite popular. It also seems like at any given there will be some traffic but the wait on like was an average of 5 min. AWESOME for a TJs visit👍
What can you say about Trader Joes? This most recent store addition which is located in SoHo has wide I aisles and is perfect during the pandemic as it never feels crowded during the day. There is always an interesting variety of foods some of which rotate seasonally so you always see new items which compliment the ones you are familiar with. The only thing I miss is the delivery service.
Trader Joe’s SoHo is usually my number one go to place when it comes to affordable, organic food. I usually am amazed by the friendliness of the stuff and enjoyed quick conversations while waiting to pay. Today, I had one of the worst experiences on Friday, 7th of May - with Bethany. She was very rude, and unfortunately lacked service, and interpersonal skills. My experience was that I won’t return. I am now a Wholefoods supporter.
I wasn’t a Trader Joe’s fan until this one opened. Aisles are wide, selections are orderly, staff is helpful. Tasting area is in the back to the left but currently no samples are being offered. In light of the “no sampling” policy, know that if you buy something and don’t like it, bring it back and you’ll get the value of the item credited back.
This is my favorite TJ’s location. Them opening in this area a few years back was a game changer. The staff is so helpful and kind, ALWAYS! Anyone else saying otherwise-I’m here to disagree because I’ve been going here since they opened 2 (3?) years ago and I NEVER had an issue. I went in tonight looking for my new favorite drink, “Owl’s Brew, Boozy Tea” and I didn’t see any on the shelves. I grabbed something else and when I was checking out, I luckily ended up meeting Stacey who was so lovely and from what I believe and what she told me, she is the one who takes care of the alcohol inventory/re-stocking and etc. Since she was so friendly (and I can talk LOL) we sparked up a conversation and I was telling her how much I love the Owls Brew, but they didn’t have any out. She told me they just got shipment in of it TODAY and she went out of her way to bring me a choice of two different 6 packs ! I kept saying it’s fine don’t worry about it and she went out of her way to accommodate me. Unbelievable, she made my day. Thank you again Stacey and I hope we run into each other one day again soon!
This is such a great Trader Joes. Not only is the selection really great, the staff is so awesome! Everytime I come in they are super friendly and helpful. We tried out the home delivery they offer at check out- we got our groceries within the delivery window we were given and they were kept cold! Also, the berries we had chosen apparently had some bad ones so they took the time to grab us better ones and left a note letting us know! So happy this store is close by.
Typical traders Joe. Although not my favourite of supermarkets, I have to review it in comparison to other existing trader Joes. Although far from the largest/ cleanest, it is pretty close. Large variety of items, plenty of discounts and great samples. If you like traders Joes then this is a pretty good one.
I love Trader Joes, because it is great place to shop and to save money. If it is not Trader Joes, I cant eat properly in this city. Great price for everything even organic food is affordable. I tell everyone I know, please do not waste your money on food in other stores around this City. Go to Trader Joes and you will never forget. Many thanks to Trader Joes and their amazing workers. There is nothing you can buy at Trader Joes and regret.
This store (Spring and 6th) saves me during the pandemic. I live in between two Trader Joe’s and at first I used to go to the one in east village, and there were hour long lines. Inside too, so many people, and I hate waiting. Then I tried this one and was surprised to see it so empty. At first I thought it was smaller, but even if it’s smaller, I don’t feel like I can’t find what I need. There was hardly ever a wait to get in, to check out, the cashiers are super friendly and supportive, I can find anything I need, what else?
I prefer this Trader Joe’s of all the Trader Joe’s in the city. It still has a town feel, even tho in the bustle of Manhattan. It’s bigger than others too so the madness after work (5-8pm) is still manageable here. No wine tho (only 1 in NY is allowed to sell wine and hard alcohol!) and of course, the staff are kind and helpful. 😊 I go out of my way after work to go to this one (I pass 2 others on my way home that are chaos).
I am always impressed with the expansive size of such a store in relation to the short amount of time I need to spend here. I like to make sure I’m not here for more than 10 minutes or else I’ll buy half the store. I am always able to leave before 10 minutes regardless of how busy it is in there. All of the staff are freaking wonderful as well, I don’t mean to leave them till the end because they always make my day. Obviously middle and upper management is doing something right.
Love this location. Ive been in at different points in the day (mid day is always an in and out experience, later in the evenings there can be a line but it moves quickly) and each experience has been smooth. Ive always found what I need and sometimes things I didnt even know I needed lol. Staff are friendly, as per Trader Joes norm. Shelves are always stocked. Havent had an experience at this location where things werent in stock, fruits and veggies included. Very convenient location, less than a block away from the E and C trains.
Good selection and cheap. There are certain important points they must work on such as packaging, so much unnecessary plastic. Vegetables and Fruit doesn’t last the time which it says in the package or they sell them just about days before expiration so be careful and read the expiration date.
Love to go buy the produce, they always run out of strawberries and thats bcuz they are so fresh and good. They fornthe most part are always stocked on items and I love that. I can go in with the intent to get one thing a d always come out with more. They also have friendly and available staff😊
What can I say about this place? Its a tiki/trader-themed grocery experience! First of all I have to say that the company treats its employees really well and you can see that on the way the employees treat the customers. They understand its a chain reaction and its really working! One other thing that I appreciate is that you can return items. In the company’s own words: “Try it. We think you’ll like it. If you don’t, bring it back for a full refund.”The other great thing is the plethora of types of cheeses. They also give away the Fearless Flyer, an amazing circular, which you can grab for free at the front of the store if it doesn’t land in your mailbox. Lastly, they encourage you to bring your own bags! If you do, you write your name and phone number on the slip for a chance to win a free $25 to spend on groceries next week!
Some of the staff was helpful. But after asking for assistance and patiently waiting for the answers to my questions about the restocking of certain items ...an unknown employee came from behind the wooden doors in the back and starred at me for atleast 5mins as I waited for the other employee to get back it was very uncomfortable made me not want to shop in Trader Joes which is a first for me. He did not approach just starred at me then walked out and watch me get on line and purchase the 2 items I had in my hands. I walked so fast out of the store I forgot to put on my gloves .
This is my favorite Trader Joes in NYC. Maybe because its the newest location, but I havent seen the lines get nearly as long as other stores. The produce is fresh and doesnt go bad as quickly as from many other grocery stores in NYC and Ive noticed the fresh flowers from here last the longest. The store is very close to the C/E train which is super convenient. As with all Trader Joes, the staff are happy and helpful, and the entire atmosphere of the store is very chill and playful.
This new Trader Joes location is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood! It is so wonderful to be able to stop in here on the way home from work to pick up groceries. Nearly every other TJs is so busy I dont even bother going anymore. This one is well managed and still not as busy, so Im so happy to have easy access for lunch and groceries again. Thanks for opening it!
Great customer service store is small but they maintain a lot of staff to keep it well stock. There is help every part of the store you go to and the lines are super long but really quick because they always have a lot of cashiers to handle the volume of people coming in EVERYONE IS SO HELPFUL CASHIERS ALSO THEY ALWAYS HELP YOU WITH YOUR BAGS
Horrible staff with real power issues. I went there today, entered wearing a mask and was harassed because I wanted to shop all whilst wearing a mask and not be spoken to in a patronizing way. Shanice you need a lesson in manners. Nathan, I think that is your name, stop harassing customers who are following the rules and wearing masks upon entering and during shopping. We are not in North Korea! Get an education and then maybe you will be happier in your work place. BTW they refused me service too. Very passive aggressive. Just a HORRIBLE experience.
A complete waste of time, so spacious and yet so pointless. Trader Joes in Queens is half the size yet has more impressive items to purchase. Appreciated the lovely cold stares I got from some of the more uppity patrons, and also thoroughly enjoyed the lack of customer service from rough employees this store hires, many of which act as if they just escaped prison. Will never come back.
WORTH THE TRAVEL AND TIME 🚌🚍⌚WOW....It was a trek, but happy that I made it.I needed to go to TJ for just a few items. My son as and I like to travel to different locations of our favorite stores. Although on this day I didnt really want to or plan to. I had just came from a long MD appt and it was raining spotty showers. In other words...I was not in the mood.To make matters worse the bus took about 45 minutes to come. But, I digress. So through the wait, traffic, frustrations, and attitude with all the circumstances we finally arrive. My sons excitement paid off.I really was glad that I held my patients and went. I have been to every location of Trader Joes and even though I live in upper Manhattan and only travel through the city by bus I will make this trip from now on.This location is very clean, well stocked and carries many different items that I have not seen in at other locations. The staff was very nice and helpful / fullI ride a scooter and they assisted my son and I with everything along & through my shopping journey.Thank You Trader Joes.....Although this location is far, it was near and dear to my ❤💝 and what I think is important in life........KINDNESS
Walking from our hotel to the subway we kept seeing people carrying brown bags and I walked up and read Trader Joes. I made a point of going there and was really impressed with the efficiency of the store and the friendly check out person. If I was able to afford to a franchise location and bring it to Canada I would be happy to run one.
Awful customer service. I like to food shop in happy places, not in a place where the employees are reflecting fear. Mask dont work in a place like this. Besides it was closed because two employees were sick with the virus, and reopen with sick people wearing mask. Food should be a happy affair, skip this place. There ate many place better than this low quality and underpaid employees.
Great products.... Vegan /vegetarian friendly.... Great selection for meals under 20 min.. Very clean!!!! environment..I can not choose which is best....💫 the product 💫 the environment or 💫 the Staff 💫 ... I definitely dont have to choose when i shop at Trader Joes 😊😀
Recently on a warm Sunday afternoon in what seems like a Post apocolyptic New York we ventured after a late lunch to the Trader Joes on Spring St. It was convenient and a short ride from our dining experience in the West Village. Sundays are always big shop days at TJs but this location provided ease of parking and saved us a trip across the river to Hoboken. Selection was light at that time of day but store was well laid out , staff was very accommodating , and we located many of our favorites that draw us to this gem of a market.
Best Trader Joe’s in New York—almost no one goes here during off-hours; and during peak-hours it’s completely manageable because it’s the most spacious layout compared to other locations, even with excess customers, lines, carts, etc. Favorite grocery store to shop at!
I love this Trader Joes. It is more spacious than the other Trader Joes downtown and there is often no line. It does have a smaller cheese selection than the one at 6th Ave and 21st, so if you use Trader Joes predominantly for cheese you might be disappointed. The employees are all friendly and there is a citibike dock across the street.
Id say this location is the best out of all of them here in Manhattan. They have the friendliest staff, they keep everything stocked, the line is either nonexistent or moving at a fast pace, and its right by the C,E, and 1 train. Id rather make the extra commute and come all the way downtown than go to the one on 92nd or 72nd in our neighborhood.
Large Trader Joe’s anchored in SoHo, where Sixth Avenue and Spring Street cross.this is probably the largest Trader Joe’s that i have been in...it is really spaced out well. wide aisles. there’s a nice flow to the store as you can see most products because of the open floor plan of the space. the organization of the floor is like any TJ’s veggies and fruits in the front and further in are the areas of packaged foods, frozen foods, meats, cheese, etc. if you are looking for flowers, plants, or greeting cards—they are all near the entrance.i definitely recommend this TJs for grocery shopping because everything is in stock, it’s not elbow to elbow cramped, and lines move fast. it’s also a great place to grab any of the packaged lunch options like sandwiches or salads and sit in any of the area parks.the lines move fast here bc the cashiers here hustle and there are good number of them.drops mic cuz i am into this super marketing
Generally good quality, good flavor house brands, low prices, and exceptionally good staff culture, especially compared to the transactional trainwreck that Amazon Foods is becoming. Fruits and vegees are closer to remainder than premium but still offer reasonable value for your ruble.
This is a new location right off the E/C train. So convenient especially coming from World Trade Center. This a a huge /spacious Trader Joe’s with everything nicely laid out. I visited around 1:15p and the line wasn’t long at that time . 72nd and Broadway has always been my favorite location to go too. Although 92nd St location is closer to my home I don’t like the setup at this TJ. So glad to see TJ popping up everywhere . Wish they would come further uptown .
This TJs is pretty big and spacious. I took the train 2 stops (E train)from my job on lunch, found all the stuff I needed (raisins, dried cranberries, thanks to a TJs employee), on the line and out the door in less than 20 minutes. This was approximately 12:40pm. I think this is going to be my go to store to pick up various items instead of the Union Square location which ALWAYS has a long line even worse when its the holidays. No one was crashing and pushing you out the way to get to items on the shelves. This Trader Joes is actually civilized at the moment. If you are in the area by all means this is Trader Joes for you. This Trader Joes DOES NOT OFFER DELIVERY at this time, please be mindful of that when shopping. A lady at the next cashier had 3 shopping carts full of items and she said she wanted it delivered in her privileged SOHO aire, the cashier said we do not have delivery; she looked annoyed & said she would take it all with her. My thought she probably is going to request an UBER/VIA/LYFT.Once again, NO DELIVERY as of 12.19.2018. I will edit this review later when that information is updated.
WOW!!! I was holding off on writing a review for a while to see how it this location would be once the honeymoon period has gone away, and I can confidently say this is the best TJs in NYC. They have almost everything you would want and is big enough/slow enough that its always extremely easy to get around and almost no wait to check out. Also they have a great, cheap lunch selection that puts Essen to shame. I live closer to the 14th st. TJs but will definitely trek here just so I can walk around.
What is left to say about this store. I can’t imagine not going there for all my grocery needs. This store just opened, it has no lines and is very big. When you order delivery it takes a long time to get the food, but maybe they will figure this out eventually. This happened when they just opened.

2022-03-28This morning was really rough for me and I walked into Trader Joes barely holding it together. But thankfully I probably had the worlds best cashier because she was just amazing. Very nice young lady. Although she didnt know exactly what I was going through she shared with me words of encouragement and it really uplifted my spirit. Even though I wasnt able to make management aware of the great customer service earlier Im making the world aware now. So I just wanted to say Thank You to Ms. Deja.

2019-12-30Always a big fan of Trader Joes since experiencing the store 30 years ago when I lived in California. But I wasnt prepared for this particular store.Very wide-open space. Plenty of room to move around. And no shortage of variety. Produce immaculate and fresh. You can tell someone fusses after it all day long. Great selection of meats, and other fresh foods.Another really good thing - check-out is in its own kind of separate area, out of the way of food aisles and main walkways. And there are lot of register stations.Really good updates to a traditionally great healthy food store

2022-07-12If you’re ever bummed and you’ve had a bad day, find an excuse to go to TJ’s. Everyone there is so personable. There’s such a great vibe in there. You’ll be in a good mood in no time.

2020-03-01Good and convenient location, quick service, great assortment. Being a chain, we wont comment neither dwell on the assortment of the products carried by the store, for it is more or less standard for every Trader Joes. We would, however, point out to the separate stall offering biodegradable utensils (forks, knives, and spoons), located by the stores exit.Starting from today (March 1st), every paper bag supplied by cashiers would necessitate a 5 cents surcharge, so the stores double bagging routine (for heavier loads) would result in 10 cents for every double-bag used. Bring your own bag with you. Please note that the entry door is only for entering, The exit features a separate exit door.
