Traditions in other cities:
Once an eatery says that they don’t do something because of the price then you know that you entered the wrong place. We did not got out to eat to worry about price structure. I look forward to their phenomenal stuffed chicken however it’s off the menu because the spinach is to expensive. Then stuff it with egg barley . Unacceptable and not interested in going back.
They used to have great service and food. I would always eat here when in town. They open at 11 and I got there at noon. I had to go up and order my meal because there were no servers. I sat there for a half hour and no food or place setting in evidence. I got up and left but first had to ask them to void the charge because they had obviously been prompt about charging. I dont know what happened to this place or why it became so rude, poor service. no food!
I was very impressed with the weight service. They bent over backwards to try to serve us. Also, the portion sizes were very generous. I really believe, that at this place, you really do get your moneys worth. I would definitely go back again and again. We were very happy. The waiters all wore masks and handled the food very well. The seating was spread apart reasonably well so that we were socially distanced. It was an easy walk to the parking lot as well.
Let’s just say I’m making it a tradition to never go back. The food is good quality, but the choices are basic and bland. The pickles and coleslaw they give to you for free are pretty solid. The acoustics are horrid, as you can’t here yourself think. Tables and people are packed like sardines in one room. They should expand there sitting area and keep a distance between tables and make closed booths as well. The booth seats are too far away from the table making for an akward sitting. Overall the food is pretty solid but nothing too cry hole about. If your going with young kids it seems fine but if your going on a date or to have a quaint meal go somewhere else.
I went there with a group of twenty people. They were glad to help us get seated and made us feel comfortable. The service was great. We had a sweet and quick waiter who ensured that we got all of our orders. They allowed us to bring in some hard alcohol to liven up our party. Best of all, food was great at a very reasonable price. A definite return!
If you go here you have to be in the mood to eat! The food is excellent with fair sized portions. The restuarant itself has a cafeteria feel to it but with excellent service. The wait staff is top notch and seem a little tired towards the end of the day but they are very attentive. Love it... been there before and will be there again!
I like to go with friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I visit this place often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the cooking is great and the crew is attentive and cooperative. Every time we eat in this place we enjoy a lovely time. I recommend this place with pleasure.
Great food at a great price!Came here with my wife to eat and we had an a amazing time as the food and service were spectacular. I ordered a double pastrami burger and she had a Pastrami Kiev. Aside from the generous portions, it was delicious! Well be coming back here again and again!
Excellent family restaurant. Great service on an extremely busy Sunday. Steak, chicken with stuffed spinach, chicken popper, oversized Hamburgers, and marinated grill chicken got great reviews from very fussy eaters. Certainly one of the best values in the New York metro Area.
This place is amazing! My family and I had an amazing Thanksgiving turkey dinner. The turkey and the stuffing was out of this world. This restaurant even gave out free swag with their logos printed on it on the way out. Figit spinners, hand sanitizer, water bottles, and phone grips were among the swag they gave out. I highly recommend this place for special occasions and casual eat outs.
They make the best corned beef. I should stop there because, really, what else matters....but they do have other great qualities. This place is a classic old restaurant, slaw and pickles on the table, great big menu (think Mr. Broadway.I have found the food always amazing. If you come in middle.of the afternoon and you want sit down service you may have to flagdown am employee and tell them but thats really not a big deal. They get 5 stars for thier ambiance, great food, consistency and being exactly who they are....not a highfalutin Steakhouse but a great restaurant.
Traditions Eatery & Catering in Lawrence. Dinner (Sunday night). The Central Avenue: Hot fatty pastrami, chopped liver, Cole slaw, red onion and Russian Dressing. Mouth watering good, especially if you love chopped liver. The French fries very crispy and delicious, and (from what I was told) the pastrami sandwich one rye is delicious.Open late, great friendly and quick service.
This restaurant is a little noisy but at least they have good food. The menu is on old iPads locked into the restaurants menu app. Unfortunately, this restaurant is very crowded and hard to find an open seat for a little breath. This restaurant needs to be more Autistic friendly.

2022-05-31Food, service, and value for cost were excellent. Acoustics were terrible, you hear all the chatter from all the other guests and have to strain to hear the actual person you came to spend time with. Tip: if there are no events in their event space, they can seat you there and its nice and peaceful, ask for that! Anyway, the food is consistently great and they are very willing to customize your order, they really pay attention.

2020-02-10This was the first time here for my boyfriend, his Dad, & me. We LOVED it! The food was fresh & tasty. They had hot pastrami sandwiches on rye & split a potato knish, & I had the grilled Mediterranean chicken panini with freshly cut sweet potato fries...which tasted like they were baked! 😋 None of us could finish what we ordered, it was too much. (But note, we filled up on the complimentary fresh pickles & coleslaw--which was NOT drowning in mayo. 😋) As we waited for our orders, we observed what others around us were eating...gigantic steaks, burgers, grilled veggies, & the blooming onion--everything looked amazing!! The dining area was clean & neatly arranged. Our waitress was very helpful & attentive to us. I would this place five stars if they served organic food. We will definitely go back.

2018-02-12Great service everytime. Beware however, Sunday nights are busy with many large groups over four - so lock in that reservation you will need it.The house steak ($40) was a pleasant surprise. And the baked sweet potato was just what little Irving needed.
