Staff is great, seems like we have more issues going on with our cat then the doctor is saying. Not sure guess we will find out if hes missing something or not. 2 stars because this business still requires you to wear a mask. I understand hospitals and such still requiring it however an animal vet? Really.... move on, Ill be going back to my local vet asap.
I am Very disappointed that twice now I have Called when my dog was ill and the soonest they can see my dog is 10 days from now. The receptionist was incredibly rude and suggested I take My dog to OP Emergency clinic and pay $400 so they can diagnose a possible ear infection while Transit my current Vet can’t make provisions for sick pups.If vacations and staffing are the issue as the receptionist said, it might not be a bad idea to hire more staff to accommodate a growing practice or have a vet available for sick animals and one available for well appointments.I’m very disappointed
Nice staff that had a quick and informative process. The vet techs and doctors all did a nice job keeping us informed and had us in and out faster then expected. It was all well visits so nothing much for them to do. The covid-19 crisis had them doing in car swaps and even with three dogs it went smooth.
We recently had to put down our 17 year old cat. They took the time to explain the process. We were allowed to to be present and I was even allowed to hold my fur baby during the process until he passed. We were never rushed allowed as much time as we needed before & after. They are compassionate with both our animals & us. They will work with you to help do the best for your fur baby.
Took my dog back for re-check on ear infections...And they actually went old school and went above and beyond on the old fashion customer service they use to provide for free with ever visit.(nail trim)Thank you times are tough every little bit helps.I did make a contribution to the emergency vet fund in return thank you!!!
Took my eight month old puppy in to have her nails clipped.. she has completely black nails.. The vet tech did an extremely poor job with all nails not evenly clipped and still pretty long. After many excuses they took her back in to fix it and then brought her back out and charged me $27.30 ... The very next day I happened to be walking through pet supplies and stopped at their salon in the back of the store. The technician came out to talk to me and informed me that her front paw nails were OK but the back paw nails were still long And could have had a better job done. BTW ..Pet supplies only charges $10 for the exact same service
They go above and beyond! I have a bit of a crazy dog who doesnt interact well to new people. The tech was so sweet to him, and even gave him a toy and treats after to cheer him up! I couldnt believe how sweet she was with my pup :). They got me in same day for my little guys issue and made me feel at ease.
I have owned many pets in my lifetime and seen many vets over those years. I began taking my 2 dogs and one cat to TAH about four years ago. I have always received the best care and been extremely happy with my experiences there, up to and including a surgery my one dog needed. They always take time to make sure all my questions were answered and time to calm my pets before examines. I never feel rushed.I had the unfortunate event this past weekend of having to put my 12 year old dog down. I cannot even begin to say how outstanding this facility was in a very difficult time for our family. They did everything to make this easier on me as possible. All of the staff, from the one who answered my original phone call to the one who greeted me when i came in to the ones who assisted me transporting my dog from my car to a private room to the vet who performed the procedure were simply amazing. Everyone showed genuine concern and sorrow for what we were going through. I could see their office was extremely busy, but they made me feel like I was the only patient there. This has got to be the worst part of their job, but after I saw how professional and compassionate they were during this time, I must say they have a permanent client and advocate in me. Highly recommend Transit Animal Hospital.
Transit Animal Hospital has been treating my cat who has chronic GI problems. Dr. Geoffrey and Dr. Reed ordered tests and looked into his problem thoroughly. Unfortunately he will have symptoms for the rest of his life, but with his current medications and prescription diet his health and symptoms have been well maintained. I am also very grateful that they have been able to see him on the same day when he had to be seen urgently. All the staff are excellent and it is clear that they care for the well being of all fur babies. Thank you so much for giving my fur baby a better quality of life.
Dr Jeff and Dr Gill are wonderful, theyve been working with me to help my dog and cat for a few months and always have time to answer questions or phone calls. With the exception of one inexperienced staff member making insensitive comments, I have always had a good experience there. There usually isnt too much of a wait.
Neutered my 10 pound puppy never administered any pain meds because the rescue I got him from doesnt pay for them. One wk ago he is still being treated for colitis that was stressed induced from the surgery. Thank goodness for our own vet taking care of him now I guess being neutered doesnt cause pain... NOT
They are very nice ppl they taken extra good care of my great Dane he ended up getting a hematoma on his ear and they really have taken the extra time with him cuz he was a rescue and he is scared of others. They are gentle and so kind with all the animals that I have seen coming in and out of here. Ty so much for the wonderful service u are doing.
We recently got a puppy, and began visiting TAH. During our visits weve worked with Dr. Reed and Dr Gill; theyre friendly, helpful, and always willing to take the time to discuss treatment options. The clinic is clean, the staff very friendly, and our dog is happy to visit! Cant say enough positive about the clinic, and the people. Great place! Thanks!
Horrible customer service. We had to go there because the adoption agency set up the vaccinations and neutering. They kept trying to charge us even though we kept telling them it was covered by the agency. Every time we call they seemed annoyed and every time we bring our dog in they never acknowledge him. Seems like they only care about money. They dont seem like animal people at all, let alone people people.
Thanks again to Dr. Gill and her staff at Transit Animal Hospital for their compassionate care. And for their efficiency: Both of my dogs had annual exams, vaccines, nail trims, and dental procedures while they were boarding over a long weekend! And they both love the new Hill’s Science Diet food I brought home!! Thank you!!
Took my pet (dog) as a walk in, everyone says professional and treated us with kindness, respect and concern as if my dog was theirs. Knowing that I was working on a limited budget but wanted the best I could do, they gave me treatment options and estimated costs. Afterwards the Vet called a few days later, after hours even to check up on things... Professionalism at its best!
Transit Animal Hospital is friendly, clean, and very good at calming this overprotective, worrisome puppy mama. They always see us quickly and take their time to really understand our concerns. Our Great Dane/German Shepherd mix is comfortable with the staff and they handle both his size and personality very well. I trust their expertise and appreciate their attention to detail without over-testing.
We got a shelter puppy and had no records. The shelter thought she had not been spayed in Kentucky. We took our dog Luna in and they missed the tattoo that showed she was already spayed. It was clearly visible once she was shaved but they cut her open anyways. They were very apologetic because they realized their mistake. But seriously, pay attention.
I can see why they have gotten poor reviews on customer service and response.. just tried calling for an emergency appointment and got nasty attitude and a response of not until end of september. I said but its an emergency.. Nope. Yeah Im pretty sure I will not let my pet who is in pain now suffer until then..
Seems very disorganized. First they didnt give me enough medication for my kitten, and when I tried to get the rest of the dose she was supposed to have, they were out of stock and said that it would be two days before they received their next shipment. The restock didnt happen until four days later, they charged me for medication they hadnt given me to begin with, and then told me they couldnt discuss the situation for another two days since the vet who had seen my kitten wasnt available. Definitely not returning.
The Dr’s and staff are great with the dogs but unfortunately it doesn’t make up for the extremely overpriced service they give. I’ve been taking my 2 female dogs there for over 4 years and it seems that every time I come back the fees have gone up and they charge you for more per visit. I just recently took my bulldog there today for an ear infection, they charged me for the ear examine and cleaning, the medication and a physical exam. She was there 6 months ago, there was no need for a physical exam. I told them she probably had a yeast infection, $160 dollars later they tell me she had a yeast infection and put medication in there. Please do you research when looking for Vets which I didn’t do. There are more reasonably priced vets out there who are just as great with the dogs and will save your pocket $. I will be doing my research and leaving this Vet.
Been going since 2009,, had my dog operated on September 2017 for 2 huge masses (big huge bumps, calcium and fatty deposits) on left side. Was tested for cancer free of charge. Very happy with price and up till now no signs of growing back. VERY VERY HAPPY!!!!!!!!!! Thank You, Tequila thanks you no more worrying!!!
I understand that Transit Animal Hospital refuses to dock tails and crop ears unless medically necessary. This is absolutely wonderful. I prefer to adopt a dog(s) that has a beautiful expressive tail and soft petable ears. A waggy tail is heartwarming. I hope people who assist in the births of our pets understand that this is what we as consumers want.🐶🐕🐱
A simple tooth cleaning nearly killed my year and a half old cat. He was not properly looked after while he was under anesthesia, he became non responsive, and his body temperature dropped. For hours he was kept under a heat lamp and blankets, but was still not hooked up to a blood pressure machine.Come closing time, they told us there would be no one left to keep an eye on him. I was either leave him there alone, bring him home in his non responsive state, or quickly rush him to the 24 hour vet clinic. We quickly brought him there and they said he could possibly have brain damage due to improper care. Luckily he slowly woke up the next morning. In the end he was fine, but it cost us over $1000, and more than $500 of that was for the night he had to stay in the emergency clinic. After bringing him to this vet for over a year, they took no responsibility and never even bothered to call to see if he ever was alright. I will never set foot in this vet again.
Called for pricing regarding canine nail clippings. lady said he had to be seen first (even after i offered bringing vaccination records), then i asked about pricing regarding sedation because my dog is very squirmy.. they said they couldnt give me an estimate until i got there. ...lost what would have been a long term customer / patient because someone didnt want to take a few minutes to give me an estimate.
A stray cat was hanging around my house for over a month. I took the cat to Transit Animal Hospital to find out if the she had a microchip. They told me there was no chip. So I took the cat in, bought food, dishes, flea medicine, a scratching post, a carrier and some toys. I then made an appointment at another vet to get shots and see if she had been spayed. In checking her, they found she does have a chip. I purposely checked for a chip before I spent all this money on her.If Transit Animal Hospital cant locate a chip on a cat, I dont trust them to do anything else.
Knowledgeable vets, friendly staff, & my pets receive good care for both routine & diagnostic visits. However, if theres an issue that occurs during their business hours, dont hope to have them squeeze your pet in for something urgent & unexpected (my prior vet who retired would!). Have to wait 9 days for a lameness issue & pray that a cancelation comes up that we can take, or go to emergency clinic for a non-emergency matter. Not the way medical profession should function!

2022-06-29The front desk staff is always so kind and pleasant and calm. Sometimes taking your pets to the vet can be stressful and their awesome demeanor makes it a little easier. All of the doctors and techs are amazing with my cats and it also makes it less stressful for them. My babies and I appreciate each and every person at Transit Animal Hospital! I recommend them to anyone who is seeking a vet in the area.

2022-02-18They are getting a great review from me my family. They helped us through a lot of tough decisions recently and showed such compassion and sincere support through everything. This is a tough position to be in and they made us feel better by talking to us and letting us ask questions, and sometimes the same question. They didnt turn us away or make us feel like we werent doing enough when we thought we were. Thank you for all the ways you have helped us. We are truly appreciative. ❤️

2022-06-08I absolutely trust Transit Animal Hospital. Our animals have had some issues over the years, and they have always been honest with us and able to help our pets with compassion. The front office staff are so polite and personable (especially Jeanette)! Dr. Geoff saved one of my dogs after a bout with pneumonia when we first brought her home, and one of my cats after a terrible urinary blockage. Looking back, I know they would not be here without him and am forever thankful. All the vets I’ve seen there are just wonderful and the staff really cares and are passionate about their work. Thank you for consistently being there for our family!

2022-01-24RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE!... Didnt cure my Grandmas dogs ear infection the 1st time, then gave steroids the 2nd time and still charged her the outrageous visit fee again (for a follow-up)... The steroids made Zoey absolutely crazy when a stronger antibiotic would have been much better! Her dog is still itching her ear, and we are looking for another vet due to the outrageous visit costs, especially when you have to go back because the vet didnt get the treatment correct! A $150 visit cost every single time even when they did not give the correct treatment, or its a follow-up?! No thank you!

2020-07-17Nice place with friendly staff. Took my baby girl in for some booster shots after her adoption. The staff have a genuine care for the animals and were very informative with any of my questions or concerns. Decent price for the visit will be going for the follow up boosters in a few weeks.
