Best diner in the capital region. The menu is full of seasonal dishes and they always have the main menu. The decor needs updating however the old decor does give the diner character. We ordered from the seasonal menu and everything waa cooked to order and perfection. The coffee was rich bold and hot which is perfect for a fall morning. Must go diner!
Upon recommendations from a local we stopped here for breakfast and could not be happier. The portions were massive and absolutely delicious. If youre on a diet you might want to pass on this place because youll be blown away by other patrons dishes. Everything was masterfully crafted and was not full of local Saratogians which was a welcomed experience. No waiters wore suspenders nor had awkward mustaches, just a no nonsense breakfast diner.
One word sums it up....YUM! A favorite place of mine for well over 25 years!!! Great food, good prices and very good service - even with social distancing, we only had a 15 minute wait on Saturday morning. Pic is only one page of menu. (If you want a flavor explosion, try the Chorizo Hash 😉) Thank you to everyone at Triangle...keep up the great work! ❤
First off, we’ve been here three times in one week since finding this diner! While it’s small, can get a bit warm, and you usually have to wait to be seated, Triangle Diner is 100% worth it.Everything is top notch from the service, to the food. The prices are extremely reasonable for the portion sizes.Every time I get the Irish Benedict breakfast. It’s amazing. The corned beef hash is homemade, not from a can! My son gets the pancake with strawberries, which after sneaking bites, is one of the best pancakes I’ve ever had. The husband gets a bagel breakfast sandwich with home fries. The home fries are nicely seasoned and crisp. You can’t go wrong with going here. Everything is delicious and so very worth the wait. We will be regulars until we move out of the area, for sure.
The Triangle Diner is a shiny gem of an eatery. It incorporates everything I love about diners. The decor, a sweet staff who knew many of the guests by name, the hustle and bustle of a quick turnover of smiling guests, the comforting smells which make it feel like home.Where they truly shine is the food. Inventive plates that are well executed and affordable. I ordered smoked Salmon with capers, asparagus, hollandaise, poached eggs and homefries. The meal also came with a perfectly grilled blueberry muffin (done in true diner fashion on the flat top with just the right amount of butter). The meal was absolutely incredible. The flavors complimented one another as well as the textures and the portion was perfect. It was hard to pick between all of the delectable delights on their menu. The choices were so tempting that my dining buddy ordered two meals (loaded hash brown skillet and country style eggs Benedict...which they raved about).I wish I lived closer to this wonderful, friendly and very efficiently run establishment. Id eat there multiple times a week. It was very clean and inviting. There were outdoor seating options and our wait was less than the originally estimated wait time. All staff wore masks and throughly sanitized tables and seats between guests.Highly recommend! The Triangle Diner was worth the wait!
A typical visit to this diner begins by putting your name down on the list with party size and then waiting in line (sometimes for upwards of 15 minutes). If youve never eaten here you may scoff at the line but let me assure you the wait just makes the food taste better. The staff is very friendly and there is counter space and booths so take your preference. Daily specials are posted on their board and the menu offers a sizable list of options. The Eggs Benedict and corned beef hash is some of the best my husband has ever had. The blueberry pancakes are amazing and have about 1/2 a cup of fresh blueberries in each. This place is a gem. My favorite diner of all those Ive eaten at over the years. Be sure to come hungry!!! 🍴😋*Prices are very reasonable*Kid/ family friendly*It is wheelchair accessible ( just a bit of a squeeze through entrance door)
The food was incredible! We ordered the southern fried chicken eggs Benedict (front) and the bacon ribs. Both were better than we could have hoped. Most memorable, and why Ill always recommend them: they were very busy with people coming and going, but the guy behind the register (presumably the owner) stopped what he was doing and came out from behind the counter/register to help an elderly gentleman put his coat on. That level of respect and consideration is rare and deserves recognition.
Hard to tell from this picture, but this is a double decker French toast, egg, bacon and sausage sandwich. What a fantastic concept! Apparently standard cheese on this is American. Anything but American cheese wouldve been way better, but Ill still give it 5 stars. Oh yeah, be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes, but Ill also echo what others have said about it being worth the wait.
The food is excellent. A perfect greesy spoon breakfast joint. Their specials menu was extensive and unique. I ordered a special-- sausage bacon egg and cheese between two pieces of French toast (pictured below) Hash browns were cooked perfectly.Only downside to this local gem is the wait. The diner is very small, maybe 10 tables and half a dozen bar stools. We waited about 30 minutes for a table, it was well worth the wait. If your in Saratoga, I wouldnt miss a breakfast at the triangle.
A most Excellent family owned and renowned diner. The stall is friendly jovial and always attentive. Entrees are delicious, fun and unique, prepared to perfection by Master chefs Laura, Kim and Anne . Worth the wait if a line develops and you will NEVER leave unimpressed!
Since moving to the area I go here any chamce I get! The food always tastes real and homemade. I got the rueben this time. It was very good. It tasted like something I would make at home. Only downside was that the corned beef could have had a bit more corned beef seasoning. Other than that I have never had ANY problems. Coffee is always great too. They sell HUGE baked goods if youre ever still hungry ( unlikely since the portions are big enough for two meals 😊)
Took my grandson to Triangle Diner prior to his leaving for college. He had a huge pancake with chocolate chips and blueberries he said it was delicious. I had an Irish Benedict, which is eggs benedict with corned beef hash instead of ham. It was the best Ive ever had and Ive had it in a lot of places. That being said be prepared for a long wait I got there at 10 a.m. and had to wait 20 minutes for a table. We ended up eating outside which was delightful. Terrific staff very helpful. Parking is a bear. Overall a terrific place.
Triangle is absolutely incredible, Ive been coming for years now and will continue to do so even though I have moved out of town. The food is absolutely amazing, great portion sizes, large selection. I always order off of their special menus because they are always so delicious. The staff is so friendly and always makes me feel very welcomed. My favorite diner hands down. I rave about this place to everyone I know Im surprised I havent written a public review yet. If you havent tried this place yet, DO!
Went there for breakfast and ordered a large (3) stack of pancakes. Well, I havent been there in a while and forgot that their pancakes are the size of a large dinner plate. Someone saw my dish and exclaimed, holy s*$#! My thoughts exactly! I got through a half of one very tasty pancake and crispy, just what I asked for, bacon. We live in Saratoga and will go back, after track season. The wait otherwise is way too long.
Best Little Diner in Saratoga! The constant crowd alone will tell you that. Best food, service, prices, you name it. Just plan on waiting if you go mid-morning or lunchtime, but it is worth the wait! Suggestion: Open one in Clifton Park (where I live) and call it the polygon. 🤪🤣
In this new normal it’s important to have a restaurant focus on safety and cleanliness along with having great food. This diner has both. From the new outdoor dining area to the partition between the booths and the deep clean between each seating I felt safe eating here. The menu is large and always huge portions. Service is fast, friendly, and personable. I recommend a reservation so that you don’t have to wait as this is a very popular spot in town.
Amazing breakfast! My daughters pancake was huge, my friend got the Southern fried chicken with poached eggs, my husband got the french toast club sandwich (also huge) it was so good! I cant believe we havent been here before. I am definitely coming back to try lunch and this is my new favorite breakfast place🥰
Still some of the best breakfast you can get. Some really out of the box stuff but also great normal breakfast foods. The grilled muffins are soo tasty and my eggs are cooked just the way I like them (over easy) and my husbands were prefect too (over medium) the country Benedict looked amazing and it didnt stay on the plate long!
Hadnt been for a while as the last time we were there we werent impressed with the GARLIC Texas toast French toast (garlic and maple syrup not to our liking). That being said, the home fries were the best. That was then, this is now: the cook must have changed how he makes home fries. They were cut twice as big and parboiled before going on the grill. The rest of our breakfast was good. Luckily, we timed our visit just right and didnt have to wait and had an awesome waitress.Nov 2021-It wasnt terribly busy but we still had to wait over 1/2 hr and when we asked about our order, got a very curt answer. Order arrived shortly after; food was good but the oil needed to be changed for the french fries. Then we asked for our check and someone other than our waiter quickly removed our plates even though I wasnt quite finished. I would only give 3 stars for this visit.
Just there to visit go there every time I am in town family owned top notch food line out the door cook brought me and my buddy each two poached eggs after our breakfast was served without us even asking because he thought that the yolks were to firm who does that awesome experience Irish eggs Bennie cant go wrong
Disappointed! Service was less than stellar at our recent experience. Food was acceptable, hot and as ordered. Service was horrible. Server was not attentive or visible, came once to drop off menus after sitting for period of time with no greeting. Another person came to take order and once food was delivered, were able to request refill on beverages, etc. Not impressed! Taking a break from here to patronize another breakfast eatery!
This is hands down my favorite breakfast place in the area. Its not often you can find a diner that sells actual corned beef instead if canned hash, or reliably cook an over medium egg. Prices are reasonable, sizes are generous, and I havent found an item on their (expansive) menu that wasnt at least solid, if not wonderful.
This was honestly the best breakfast Ive ever had - I highly highly recommend. There was a bit of a wait (the diner is pretty small), but it was worth it. Great menu with lots of variety and super reasonably prices for the HUGE portions. Seriously - the pancakes are massive. We ordered french toast, smoked salmon, asparagus, grilled muffin, home fries, roast on sourdough with eggs, and a few more things that I forget (we were super hungry!). Everything we had was delicious!!! We chatted with the servers and owners who were so kind. I just wish we lived closer!
Awesome breakfast. The corned beef hash is homemade and excellent. The place was jammed on a Monday at 10 AM. Parking was very difficult. I drove around the block 4 times before deciding to park on a side street. The walk was good after eating the huge amount of food. I cant imagine what it is like at peak times. Great service and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommended.
First time visiting Saratoga. This was the first spot we hit for breakfast. Good was great. The blitzes were outstanding. Overall the whole family loved their meals. Waitress was nice, and attentive. Only thing is that it is small, and it was a tight seating, but we were a party of 7. We will definitely be back.
First time there, breakfast was delicious. Pancakes are huge. Server warned me when I ordered the short stack. I should have listened.Place is small and cramped, parking lot is too. Lucked out with 2 counter seats otherwise wait was very long.Very helpful, friendly staff.
Used to be known as sarges diner once upon a time. I have been here on many occasions and have yet to be disappointed. The coffee is great, and always has a different flavor option to try which I like. The food is always delicious and well worth the money spent. Its not expensive by any means but the pancakes are bigger than your head & the breakfast sandwiches are the biggest Ive ever seen. The staff is generally very friendly and attentive. Its a small place so be prepared for a wait on the weekends (its worth it though, I promise) Not really meant for large parties, most tables seat 4 or less but there are stools at the counter and a couple spots that could potentially seat 5 or more.
The first time we went, food was good and I almost gave a rave review. The second time we went, the food wasnt cooked to how we ordered it. When we mentioned it to our waitress, immediate attitude grabbing it off the table. We were sitting in front of the cook who when she gave the food back to the waitress to bring to us said, If they dont like it now then thats it but we didnt send it back because we didnt like it, we sent it back because it wasnt what we ordered. The waitress set it back on our table with the same attitude, didnt say a word to make sure we were satisfied. There was a gentlemen standing behind the counter, not doing anything who watched the whole thing, he seemed to be the owner but not sure. Moral of the story, always go a second time before giving a rave reviews. I dont give my business to businesses that dont care to give their customers what they pay for and arent customer focused.
Best breakfast Ive ever had! Ordered the Chefs special and it was amazing. Also had the corn cake muffins, so good! So much to choose from above and beyond the traditional diner fare, more like a fancy brunch place menu. It is a small place so we did have to wait in a cramped spot but was it all worth it!
The food! New twists on classics that are amazing. They also serve the classics. Dont get hung up on the hit and miss service! The food is worth it. Update: the last couple of times Ive been there the hash browns were soggy and undercooked. Also their specialty menu does not start until 8am. If you want the really good food go after 8am. Regular breakfast starts earlier. I have no idea why.
Good food. No childrens menu but can be easily adapted to fit a childs portion size/appetite. Really good prices and surprisingly large portions for adults. I had a chicken breast sandwich with cheddar and bacon and it was moist and great. The lettuce and tomato were crisp. The salad I ordered has several diff types of lettuce and some thought was put in it. Not the standard diner food. The onion rings looked awesome. I will order those next time. The waitress was nice. And since it was slightly crowded busy lunch time no one glared at my noisy playful 3 yr old.
Love the food. They have a typical diner menu but always offer a variety of unique breakfast and lunch specials each day. Food is made fast and fresh. The service is great. The only complaint we have is because its a small place the line is usually out the door for a table!
This is a diner with diner style food but no one at our table was impressed. We had the omelet, egg sandwich and blueberry blintzes. I would avoid the blintzes at all costs. The visual presentation was poor and the taste was worse. The lemon curd was neon yellow and tested like it came from a tube. The egg sandwhich was ok and the omlet tasted like a fried egg. The ham inside was slices not even cut into chunks. The outside seating was nice and we felt like that was done well.
The diner is always been a staple in town its quite a popular spot and they always continue to deliver the best diner food in the best breakfast. Their eggs Benedict in corned beef hash with hollandaise sauce is amazing. the best Ive ever had in fact. Service was fast and kind and it was just a delightful environment.
Loved it! Drive by it a few times a week and its always packed. My sister told me it was awesome! Finally broke down and went...now I am upset I waited so long! Place is awesome! Place is crowded, so be prepared to wait! The wait is so worth it! FOOD is awesome...people are great...price is RIGHT! I will be back!
It was my first time there. My husband used to eat there 15 years ago when he worked in the area. We finally went today and it was amazing food and service. We got our food pretty quickly even though it was packed. My husband said that it still tasted like he remembered.
Went early for breakfast on a Saturday, visiting a friend who lives in town. Go where the locals go! The menu appears to be printed daily and had lots of symbols on it that didnt actually correspond to a key. It was just some flair, I guess. Our food was good and we finished all of it, but we thought the chocolate chip muffin would have been bigger considering the significant upcharge to have it with a breakfast instead of toast.
This is a small but great place with good food. My favorite is the eggs, ham, topped with asparagus and hollandaise sauce. On the side is home fries, and a cranberry orange muffin! I also got a small side dish to try the corn beef hash and it was wonderful. Needless to say I brought a lot home :)So far the Triangle Diner has not disappointed.
Possibly my favorite diner in the Saratoga area. Never had a bad breakfast here, and their only problem is that they arent big enough to support the crowds that they nearly always seem to have (which is a testament to their popularity). Find an off-time to go in order to get a seat: right after opening seemed to work today, and by 7am it was nearly full
Stopped in on a Saturday morning. The place was packed and I understand why! Excellent food and service with a friendly staff. I had one of the daily specials, a suusage, tomato and smoked gouda omelete with home fries and a fried corn bread muffin. It was very tasty! I would recommend this place to anyone with a hearty appetite. Ill be back.
We waited one hour but it was WELL worth the wait. The staff are always running around, the cooks are always putting out constantly amazing food. The Maytag Eggs is my favorite! This is a little gem of a diner snuggled between the high-end Saratoga Springs. You MUST try The Triangle Diner.
This place is SO good and totally worth the 30 minute drive from Saratoga Springs. The place is small and has rustic charm, the staff were all very warm and inviting, the addition of bullet holes in the windows was a nice touch LOL - yes bullet holes! I asked a waitress about them and she confirmed that they were made a long time ago and thinks it was caused by a drive by or something. I came here around 1PM with 3 coworkers and we loved our meals. We had to look at the menu for an extended period of time because there were so many yummy sounding options but we eventually settled on the Crab Benedict, Irish Benedict, Chicken salad and a Philly steak. All portions were large and we all had to take food home for the next day. Everything was freshly made and things tasted GREAT!My only complaint was that we ordered a side of waffle fries and it was quite small, like 6 pieces for $4.
This is the best spot for breakfast in Saratoga Springs. With that said - since both locals and tourists know it is good food at great prices there is ALWAYS a wait.It is amusing to see tourists walk up and get so upset over a 20 minute wait. This is a small dinner so unless you are willing to sit counter seats there is a min 30 minute wait on weekends and tourist season. If you have more than two people and you want a table expect to wait 40 minutes. Yep you read that right - 40 minutes. So please, if you are from the city and hate waiting go elsewhere so the locals can enjoy their spot without your attitude.Solid classic to try here is the chorizo hash (if you like a little spicy) or country benedict. Their pancakes are also awesome but be warned they are HUGE! This is also one of two spots in Saratoga Springs that offers hashbrowns if you miss them.
If you want quintessential diner experience with hot, amazing food - and a surprising array of unique specials with unique combinations of ingredients - you need to try Triangle. Tons of Benny options (eggs Benedict) and ginormous pancakes. Home fries or hash browns. Orned beef hash is homemade with big chunks of onion and potatoes. Extra points for flavored coffee! Be prepared to wait outside and circle the block for parking. But a million times worth it!
120% worth the wait you see outside in the parking lot. My husband and I are regulars & enjoy breakfast here at least once a week when we are home, and have been for years! I grew up in land of the diners (NJ), but no diner I went to or have been to since had food as good. The pancakes are enormous - consider yourself warned ;)
Superb breakfast and lunch spot, great find for us, due to the well-prepared and delicious housemade fare + convenient location near the Northway + pleasantly busy and efficient atmosphere + deep counter with nonfixed stools (comfy) (booths looked good too) + evident popularity. Copious portions. Absolutely definitely aiming to return. Highly recommend. Waitress said that waits are much shorter or nonexistent before 9 a.m. Posting pic of todays specials only. Regular menu covers even more.
Absolutely amazing the food was the environment and atmosphere quite a popular spot although I wish they had a bigger Diner to accommodate more guests it certainly is a wonderful place to be and the eggs benedict that I had the other day was beyond anything I could imagine or describe five stars for sure
The best breakfast diner in the Capital area...or anywhere for that matter. Try their smoked gouda, egg and bacon breakfast sandwich on a roll or the regular, Irish or avocado eggs benedict. From giant pancakes, to fresh bread toast, to giant delicious sausage links to the best corn beef hash Ive ever had..it is doubtful you will find something on the menu you dont like. Their portions are large and you wont find a better breakfast for your dollar. They even serve flavored coffees which is delightful. Enjoy!

2021-09-08Cute little stop but could have more efficient service.. staff is nice just slow paced. They tend to run out of menu items so try to get there early.. I was told they were out of apple juice and Sprite. The blueberry pancake I ordered was HUGE. The chorizo hash and cornbread muffin were delicious.

2022-06-07Wow. Parking weird? ✅, booths of odd sizes? ✅, fantastic food? ✅I am told the weekends its swamped. But on a Monday at 8 am, you are free to range. Quick service too.

2022-05-11First impression was its the nicest cute place, very much the 50’s dining experience minus the trying to look like it so hard the building is chrome🤌✌️ Good food and a nice way to start my day. Very sweet family atmosphere

2022-06-22A cute little place to grab large portioned hometown food. Parking is a bit odd but I guess for the location it makes sense… Maybe?!? Been there a few times but the most recent was right around St. Patrick’s Day. Not sure if it was because of the holiday but the corn beef hash was full of flavor and could tell it wasn’t out of a can.

2022-06-09We liked it so much we returned the next day. Unexpected food choices for a diner...crepes? The regular diner fare was also yummy. The waiter remembered us from the day before. Both days were very busy. We lucked out with no waiting for a table.

2022-07-11Fantastic little place. Accommodation for 10 was met with 2 tables. The only disappointment was that they had run out of corned beef hash for the Irish Benedict. The French toast club is also a great delight.

2022-03-22Always great service. Coffee always topped off.Got banana chocolate chip pancake, very large in size one pancake is enough as bigger then plare. Especially like the bananas cooked within pancake vs just on top.
