I went to TriBeCa Grill when I first moved to NYC and had a really great meal and time there. Service was warm and fantastic and the food was like a good old American meal. Large portion with pretty good balance of seasoning and quality.Cut to three years later and I decided to do a brunch offered during restaurant week and my...complete let down. The Caesar salad is pretty nice, not too much dressing, balanced and with a little twist (a pickled sardine I think). My friend has the grilled octopus appetizer which is good but nothing to shout about. However my feta cheese with chive cream omelet is dry, bland and plain boring. U can judge from the picture. I even have to ask for butter and spread all of them over my omelet so they can glide them my throat without choking. Least to say it might be a very long time before I go again or probably skip the brunch and try the dinner ...someday.
What i loved most at this place was the fact that you get a very clear impression about the fact that these guys really are a team and work hand-in-hand to make the guest feels comfortable. My starter was a blast. Boom, sensationally good. The main dish was good but not so unexpected and surprising. The deserts were great.
Pretty delicious food here. I visited with my mom and sister for NYC Restaurant Week and really enjoyed our dinner. To start, my mom ordered the rose and I ordered the Tribeca Bramble, which is a vodka-berry cocktail. The Bramble cocktail is fantastic and very refreshing - perfect for summer. I highly recommend the pan seared salmon, duck bolognese and the vanilla creme brulee. All three were fantastic. The service here was good, our waitress was very attentive, but she wasnt available toward the end of our meal. It was difficult to get the check, but thats my only complaint about service.
A wonderful evening of great food in a nostalgic setting. We were there to celebrate with a Holistic Nutrition graduate. We toasted with a bottle of 2016 Chablis served to us by the Sommelier. The Tuna Carpaccio hit the spot. The Pea Salad tasted even more delicious than it looked. Our mains consisted of Sword Fish and Rib Eye Steak. We ended up sharing between two of us. Both were grilled to perfection and were scrumptious. We enjoyed a side of Brussel Sprouts that tasted like candy. Although we didn’t eat dessert our server brought out a Togo container/bag of dessert goodies to enjoy as his salute to the graduate. What a nice touch!
NYC has been getting a ton of five star ratings from me, but when you live in a different city, this time Seattle, you don’t realize how great everything is in the Big Apple. We just had drinks on a late Saturday afternoon at the Grill in the beginning of March 2022. Our gray haired bartender, originally from Calgary, (never got his name) was great. Maybe it was the pandemic, or maybe it’s because I live in Seattle where people are not warm and fuzzy, but everyone in NYC seems welcoming and fun. I have such a good time everywhere. I always wanted to dine at the Tribeca Grill and now I will. It’s space echoes the original Tribeca, and it was an off shoot of Soho, an area of warehouses and not much else. The industrial vibe is warm at the Tribeca Grill, and I appreciated the original brick ceiling. Architecture needs preservation, and the Tribeca Grill got it. I can’t wait to return to the Tribeca Grill for a meal.
Surprisingly great service with great food. An unexpected cathartic experience for me. The first time I met Robert De Niro years ago, I blurted that I loved his role in The Deer Hunter. He understandably cursed at me. Fast forward to today and behold there is a poster to this movie in a prominent place. I felt closure with a great meal.
Was there for a private event some time back, so my perspective may be a bit different. The staff etc was obviously quite friendly and attentive. As far as the food goes, I had the Caesar salad as appetizer and was a bit thrown off by the fishy smell it had. Perhaps it was prepared in the same location as a fish item. As far as the main course, which was chicken with mashed potatoes and peas, the chicken was slightly gamey, which was not what I would expect from a restaurant of this level. I had a chocolate cake type of dessert which was good, but not great.
I went here for restaurant week yesterday and the meal I was given was a complete joke. Looked like chips from a bag and salsa from a jar, a sad and pathetic starter. The main course was a SOGGY, and dry fried chicken. I dont understand how they managed to make it soggy AND dry, but it was also flavorless. Served with a disgusting coleslaw and a dinner roll? Why?? Desert was a tiny brownie with canned whipped cream on top, disgusting. I hated my experience here and I think this place is a complete joke.
We were looking for something special for my birthday. Before we went someone said its only a grill.Wrong.This is a fantastic restaurant that also grills. The cocktails were amazing. The wine recommendation was spot on. Our starters were first class. The mains were among the best Ive ever experienced. The meat was honestly perfectly grilled and seasoned.Brandon was a fantastic server, very friendly and informative.Well definitely be back.Thank you to the whole Team.
The decor and layout is absolutely amazing the bar in the center with these beautiful chandeliers. Very attentive service. With that said, the food and drinks are definitely on the more expensive side and not that great for the price. I had the butternut squash soup which was alright as a starter. I had one of there freshly made in house pastas- the pappardelle which I wasnt that impressed with. The mushrooms were too large and was not a big fan of the sauce. Overall a bit disappointed for the quality of the food for the price.
I canceled with more than 24 hours advanced notice, first via text, replying C to the annoying Resy texts, they never stop! Then in the Resy app because I just dont trust replying to the texts. Despite canceling both ways almost 30 hours prior to the reservation I am now charged $50 and need to raise a dispute with Amex.If you want to avoid a headache and time wasted, avoid Tribeca Grill.
A client of mine had their holiday party at Tribeca Grill. Easy to get to by car or public transportation. Pay for parking garage was across the street and around the corner. Nice building and exterior on the corner. Decorated nicely with holiday lights. The interior is roomy on the 1st floor but cozy. The private party was upstairs in a nice size room and decorated somewhat! White tablecloths and napkins. Servicers were attentive. The food was good. The party was great due to the president of the organization, employees in attendance and a wonderful DJ.
This is a pretty and spacious establishment. I went for lunch during restaurant week. I will be coming back for more lunches and for dinners very soon! Firstly, I was very impressed by the service. Perfect service really rocks my world. I enjoyed my food — I had the butternut squash soup, chicken with salsa verde and apple crumb cake with the granny smith gelato. That gelato was heavenly. It was all delicious! I’ve got to say the soup was my favorite. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned, so were vegetables that accompany it. I imbibed a wonderful concoction which i thought had a humorous name and it was perfection ! My friend and I were very impressed by the thought that went into the menu. I cannot wait to try their normal menu.
We arrived here about 7pm and we were seated right away. The table service was great, all the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. My wife ordered the scallops and she said it was the best she ever tasted!I ordered the pork chop, it was tender and juicy. Also, our teens ordered the salmon, which they gave two thumbs up!Unfortunately, no sighting of Mr De Niro! However, well be back!
Very nice atmosphere, a little loud, but very courteous and professional wait staff, very attentive, and knowledgeable. The food sounds interesting, and is high quality and aesthetically pleasing, but honestly, not on the mark for me. Things were either a little over spiced or a little bland, the combinations were expected and not as exciting as I would have liked. The decor is nice, and the memorabilia on the stairs and down the hall to the restrooms were kitschy but mostly nice. The restrooms themselves were industrial, and not very pleasant at all, in terms of hygiene or style choice. Overall it was a great experience, but not all that I hoped it could be, given its cache.
The food was OK, nothing exceptional. Chicken came cold, had to send it back. The bar is good, weird drinks (none of the regular stuff), but they taste good, and they also have an excellent array of beers. Service is really good. Overall I wouldnt recommend it - they under deliver for the price they charge. You can find much better spots to eat in NY for the same price or less.
Beautiful restaurant. Thats where the good ends. We should have trusted the recent reviews. Our bad. Mediocre food and extremely overpriced. Tried to order a bottle of wine from the major extensive wine list however staff hovered over me as I was attempting to make a selection. As I mentioned extensive wine list and even comparing to other NYC restaurants overpriced. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. So may other wonderful NYC restaurants. Find out where the locals dine. This is not the place.
We were guests for brunch for 10 today. Service was great. Food was terrific. I had french toast. Dale had chicken salad. One of our friends had scrambled eggs and bacon. Everything was perfect. And, best of all, though it was busy, the tables are set so you dont bother anyone and youre not bothered.
We go every few months, on Sunday evenings as they have no corkage fee, and we bring our own wine. Usually have out of town guests with us. All of us have been very happy with the quality of food, service and ambiance. Tables are nicely spaced, compared to other NYC restaurants, so you dont feel cramped next to other diners.
I decided to come here after work with a friend. We both come from a foodie town and usually have unrealistic expectations for all restaurants. We were both shabby looking and tired. The staff took exceptional care of us! I had the tuna tar tar, a bottle of wine, and chicken with seasonal root veggies. Everything and everyone was spectacular. I will be making this spot a regular on my NYC rotation. Thank you for making my evening!
I attended a Christmas party that was held upstairs in a private room. The bartenders and waiters/waitresses were very attentive. I had the crab cake for an appetizer, the NY strip steak for my main course, and an amazing chocolate cake for dessert. I had not one complaint about my meal - everything was very good. The dress code is pretty casual considering the kind of place it is (fine dining). The only downside is that their menu items are pretty pricey, but in my opinion the food is worth every penny. Id like to go back soon for brunch because I hear its amazing!
We had family visiting from outside of the United States and what a wonderful experience we had at the Tribeca Grill! Thank you to our exceptional Waiter Luke for welcoming us, keeping our glasses full, giving excellent recommendations, and being one of the most Pleasant and Well trained staff member we met in NYC today. Everyone had a great meal only to be topped off by the most excellent desserts! This Restaurant experience will not only bring us back but we will recommend the Tribeca Grill and Luke to anyone we know visiting NYC! Keep hiring and training your staff like our Waiter!
I had one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever when I ate here the other night! The food was amazing, the staff were welcoming, and the atmosphere was wonderful. All the food we ordered was well seasoned and delicious! We got the Queso Fundido as well as the Forbidden Black Rice to start us off and it was delicious! For diner we got the scallops, Ribeye, and Wagyu Sirloin. For sides we got the Brussels sprouts and Wild Mushrooms. I can honestly say we enjoyed every bit and couldn’t get enough of every dish. Dessert was amazing too. We had the strawberry shortcake and the chocolate cake. Both were incredible and I liked that the strawberry shortcake wasn’t too sweet.
It was a nice space, but the service was mediocre and the food was ok. Definitely not a good brunch spot. The server didn’t even ask us if we wanted anything to drink. When I asked if I could get greens instead of potatoes all she could repeat is do you want to order a side or a salad ... no just want greens instead of potatoes... I never got my greens.
We hosted our post-city hall wedding lunch reception here!! The event manager, Mary, was incredibly helpful and accommodating from day one. Even with very short notice, she and her team did everything they could to make our event perfect and memorable for everyone. On the day of the event, the staff incredibly kindly set up our decorations (we rented the gallery room), so that we did not have to go the morning of. They even opened the room early for us when we were ahead of schedule!
Disappointed with my visit. The best part about this place is the staff. Prices are fair for the city. However, the food was the not ok, the service was slow, and the drinks are lacking appropriate amount of alcohol. Maybe a weekday night would have been a better visit?
Not good. Steak severely under cooked on the inside and burnt on the outside. Smallest glasses of wine I have ever been given for exorbitant prices. Paying the bill was a fiasco. The waiter did not know how to deal with a couple of gift cards and then decided to keep the change from the cash that he been out down. Not a good experience - shame as it was supposed to have been very good.
Food was fine but the service was pathetic. They made us wait an hour between appetizer and main course. We got so frustrated that we asked them to bring our dessert with the main course so we didnt have to wait again, however they did make us wait another 45 mins after the main course for the dessert. The staff was not apologetic when we asked about the wait. They would just say they would go to the kitchen and check whats going on but they would never return. This was on a Sunday afternoon when they place was just about half full.
This place was delicious. My husbands salmon was cooked to perfection. It literally melted in your mouth. He said it was the best salmon he had. The porterhouse pork chop was very thick. My friend said it was good and not dry, which was surprising given the thickness of it. The ribeye was beautifully cooked. The creme brulee had the thickest top layer Ive seen in a while and was really flavorful, but the strawberry shortcake was not great. It looked more like a biscuit than cake lol.
One of the best restaurants in NY. I was there for a private dinner party. Janet and Amanda the servers were superb. Whole staff amazing. Courtney also took care of us. And the management came to say hello. I will host more events with this group for sure. Oh and the food and cocktails!!!!! Steak melted and was cooked perfectly.
Nice evening at Tribeca grill during restaurant week. Cheesy gooey ap served in a small cast iron pan with a pile of soft tortillas for me and French onion soup for my companion. Surely mine gave my cholesterol a nice boost😊. My homemade pasta was smothered with a mix of mushrooms and my companion chose a sausage and red sauce. It’s possible that the best part was my pineapple cosmo, YUM! Max our server took good care of us.
Was really hoping for a better experience here. First off, it was surprisingly slow (though it was a Sunday night). I was alone so decided to sit at the bar which was probably my first mistake. Didnt get any attention from the bartender for nearly 10 minutes. (again, it just wasnt that busy) He did make a very nice dirty martini, I will give him that, and from then on the service was acceptable but not stellar. I ended up just having soup and a couple of appetizers. Soup was very good. The short rib perogi was nice, but the crab cakes were way too salty. I will give them another shot and this time sit at a table and do a full meal and then update my review.
Disclaimer: all the food was comped. The decor of this place is very American and the type of people who come here definitely like to wine and dine.I had arugula & buffalo mozzarella salad, grilled long island duck breast, and chocolate & salted caramel crisp. The salad was different, had roasted eggplant in it. It was pretty good, better than some salads with just cheese in it. The salad didnt feel overwhelmingly oily. The duck was really good. I actually enjoyed it. Just take the skin off because it was a little charred. Luckily, it didnt ruin the taste of the overall dish. Overall flavor of the dish is an earthy one. Even though the menu doesnt mention mushrooms in the dish, it certainly tasted like there was. I would recommend this dish. The salted caramel crisp. Is really sweet. I could only eat half and I was satisfied. There was another dessert option, banana tart. Visually, the tart looked much better but unfortunately, I did not get a chance to taste it. I have a suspicion that the tart tasted better!Service was excellent. I would recommend coming here at least once.
This was my line restaurant week excursion this round. We first had a few drinks in the bar area, which was oddly snuggly situated with a tight brick perimeter. The bartenders were warm though and drinks were good. The meal was quite good as well. I had the butternut squash soup, the trout, and the crunchy chocolate bar. The soup was creamy. The trout was flavorful yet not overwhelmingly fishy, which was a relief. The dessert was like a grown up version of a Kit Kat bar, which made me incredibly happy.
Excellence in dining, and superb service!Last evening I celebrated my birthday, and arranged for a round table where everyone in the party could easily see and communicate with each other. This worked perfectly for our party of 8-people. I was greeted at the door by the general manager, Marty Shapiro, who is exceptional at making sure all the details for your dining experience go well. I joined my party, we were greeted by our wait staff, who were both very attentive and efficient. We started with a toast of Champagne, with beautiful flute glasses, continued with additional glasses of Pinot Noir, then ordered our meals. The food was great, the most popular dishes ordered were green salads, spiced lamb meatballs and octopus salad, and entrees included Lobster cavatelli (amazingly delish), and Monk fish. Finished with vanilla bean ice cream and birthday cake. All of my party thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and it made this birthday celebration perfect!
We were at TriBeca Grill for a party last year and were so impressed that when it came time to celebrate a special birthday, we decided to return.I cant say enough about the wonderful service! Marty Shapiro helped me plan the dinner and appetizers. I spoke with him several times and he assured me that everything would be perfect - and it was!Courtney was there the night of the party and she was great. She was so attentive and made sure everything was perfect. Tiger, our server, was terrific! We had lamb chops, tuna tartare, crab cakes and beet crostini for appetizers, and lamb, scallops and chicken for entrees. All were delicious! Everyone raved about the service and food. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a wonderful night!
Eat here for the first time yesterday before the Rolling Stones con art at MetLife. Had spinach pasta bouillabaisse which consisted of duck and pork. Would highly recommend this dish. Started out with garden salad topped with a generous a.ont of blue cheese. Finished off with dark chocolate flourless type cake. Robert can expect be back next time in NYC!
Smell of food from people sitting next to me at the bar made me throw up. I asked for a Jack n Coke and it definitely wasnt Jack Daniels as the hipster bartender insisted. Fat bearded guy checking IDs at door has the personality of a rock. Music was pretty good and thats about it.
We were more than pleasantly surprised. We were just walk ins - the food was particularly good especially the perogi which was recommended by our server, the salad special was refreshing with great food combinations - apricot with fennel - and the lamb special delicious. The waitstaff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable, particularly the sommelier who recommended a lovely syrah from the USA and spent some time chatting with us about Australian wines as well as places to see in NYC. And the homemade apricot sorbet topped everything off! Will definitely revisit.
My wife and I live in New York and dine out often. This was one of the most unpleasant experiences we have had in decades. It was a special occasion, after an award ceremony. We arrived (on time), were seated, and then COMPLETELY IGNORED. After 25 minutes, I went up to maitre ds desk to point out that we had been ignored for almost a half hour. The maitre d took our drinks order, and the champagne we ordered was served -- 35 minutes after we arrived. Shortly after that, a waiter appeared. I assume he must have been reprimanded by the maitre d since he was sullen and unpleasant , verging on nasty. This behavior continued throughout the meal. The meal itself was actually quite good, as was the wine we had to follow the champagne. But the waiters unrelenting rude behavior made it a thoroughly unpleasant evening. Though I usually tip 25% or more, I left a 10% tip, with a note on the charge slip making it clear that the service was completely unacceptable. The bill was about $220. Thats a hefty bill for an unpleasant two hours.
This place excels at mediocrity. Maybe the mistake was coming for lunch, but every dish was underwhelming. The turkey club was comprised of dried out, flavorless turkey and flavorless, watery tomatoes. This is the exact meal I would expect to get at a Holiday Inn in De Moines. Would not recommend.
The open atmosphere in this fine dining grill keeps it from being stuffy, while the service and food is top notch. Started with the mushroom appetizer, had ravioli for dinner and banna tart for dessert. If you want a fine dining experience that is semi casual, put the Tribeca Grill on the top of your list.
My go-to place when Im in TriBeCa for the past 25 years. It never fails to deliver. There are several constants with this restaurant, which include quality ingredients, well seasoned & well prepared dishes, a vast wine list, ever changing menu with the seasons, and the banana tart. You definitely have to try the banana tart if you like the thought of a crumbly pastry tart covered with banana slivers that have been sprinkled with sugar and torched to create a thin sugary shell on top. Plus its top off with a scoop of caramel ice cream. To die for! Just note that it can get noisy since the bar is in the dead center.
A quality restaurant with good food and service. But nothing that I would call outstanding. Did not walk away talking about how good it was. If it was a local restaurant, we would probably go back, but since we only get into the city a few times a year, we will try another place.
Ive been a customer since the 80s. This is a MUST TRY.On the wake of September 11th, Robert DeNiro stood strong and was kind enough to give every Battery Park City resident a voucher to dine at his restaurant for as long as I remember.... Thank you Robert.Tribeca Grill is known for its beautiful designed chandeliers, Robert H. Deniro Senior paintings and that historical bar. EXCELLENT SERVICE AND AMAZING MENU. A FRIENDLY CHILDREN MENU FOR YOUR LITTLE ONES!!!Great for any event.
F you can get tickets for a table at Blue Note ahead of time, just DO IT & arrive early. Apparently you can choose where to sit when you get there. Came here to see Lauryn Hill, as expected it was crowded/packed. It is a small venue club, very intimate setting. We did not have tickets but came to stand in line for the bar tickets that are $85, not worth it if you ask me. Youre standing far away from the stage w/ no guaranteed view. There were open seats available at some tables, my bf requested to take them & paid the difference for the $125/ticket for the table seats. I was excited, we had table service & was able to order food/drinks.Unfortunately we were seated to the left of the stage where we couldnt see anything but the back of the keyboard players head. No view of Lauryn Hill or any other band members whatsoever, unless you want to count her feet. It was such a downer, disappointment, killed my excitement, I was not interested in the show whatsoever, we were only able to hear the music but not see what was going on. It didnt seem like we were even at a live show, just sitting there like sardines listening to music. 2 of the people on our table left the show and shortly 3 more people next to us. I was getting so antsy, my BF finally convinced me to stand on my chair which I gladly did, and was finally able to see what was actually going on stage. Other people around me started to also stand up on their chairs to get their moneys worth.
Restaurant week menu, horrible butternut squash soup and fiorentini pasta. I was disappointed with the quality of those two dishes. There was no flavor in the soup and the pastas pesto was salty and stiff. I would not go there again, unless its only for the chocolate cake.
Average bar in Tribeca, bring ear plugs... its really loud when the place is packed. Less than acceptable food with a staff that needs a few lessons in the customer service department. Make sure to specify the order of your food or its likely to come out all at once.
BUYER BEWARE_ Just learned this is a DATE RAPE RESTARAUNT W DATE RAPE OWNERS-Supposedly Hidden cameras all over restaraunt-Restaraunt also platform used for date raping of women taken upstairs to offices thru side door after pre roofie drinks. Just learned owned by partners Bob and Harvey Weinstien, Bill Murray, Sean Penn, De Niro, Russel Simmons, Christopher Walken as reported on Wickipedia. Notice any publicly accused raper names in the crew? Well U are not alone! Former staff members have many questions according to recently published articles and have come forward to media mortified when instructed by upper management to 1) ID EVERYONE PRIOR TO ENTRY- translated to in unspoken words- make sure blacklisted individuals who are a risk to this shitshow are not allowed in 2) Not discuss if Weinstien takes a table and an underage girl arrives to meet him for premedication prior to being taken upstairs thru a side door to Weinstiens office to be met with violence/threats/assault and 3) To not ask ?s if they the staff feel something is wrong with the picture or why they never see the young women return again-translated to shut up if u see or hear anything or u will be next victim of crime. What an oppressive way to work. Entire NYU staff instructed to not respond or answer any of the premedicated girls if they pleaded for help or asked questions. In general- if sexual predators do not kill their victims- the victims grow up get educated and speak out against their perpetrators. Usually, if predators go on for over 25 years getting away with habitually doing what this sick group of men clearly from articles reporting has been-and partnered in together- the predators come up with more sophisticated and easier ways to predator their victims as has been done with this joint underneath Weinstien offices. Often the predators forget about their victims move on and prey on the next ones. They are shocked if their victims grow up-join together and their faces show up to haunt them and call them out- To bad such a nicely designed interior is owned by these types of rapists- and not the best food or service either. Why support violent angry men and make them richer? If you are a concerned woman DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT owned by partners who have too much public baggage involving questionable and potentially criminal activity. Men who advocate for violence citing example Punch a publicly elected official in the face..., or other angry rants, promotion of use of drugs and publicly and proudly announcing advocating for purchase of prostitutes...do not give your hard earned money to people to use on this stuff. This eatery is clearly riding on its celebrity ownership not the actual quality of food and possibly exists as a cover to other forms of activity going on. Ones money and time can be better well spent to garner a more elevated true gourmet food experience supporting real world chefs- real people who actually care about the human race- not criminal owners posing as faux humanitarians to line their pockets with faux concerns. All while they are potentially violating your privacy rights and filming you as a patron- searching for victims to decide if any are worth leaving their city condo to shuttle over and violate at the bar tonight- or stalk later on after name has been captured on a credit card machine-or taking their victims to premedicate them prior to a scheduled and planned escort assault upstairs. Why would any female want to support this business in anyway if it has a known serial rapist partnered in?
Professionalism and efficiency of wait staff was superior. they were friendly yet not overbearing or imposing. excellent baby beet salad, filet mignon and roasted chicken, unimpressive garlic mashed potatoes (and uninspired if proven set-up), innocuous goat cheese potatoes, excellent al dente minted peas, go for the chocolate truffle cheesecake over the tribeca chocolate cake. ok coffee.
Revelations of DeNiro granting WEINSTEIN access to Tribeca Grill - for YEARS - as WEINSTEIN used the restaurant as his conditioning place to wine & dine young aspiring actresses , who would later leave w/WEINSTEIN through a side door. Only to return the next AM looking TRAUMATIZED - ACCORDING TO WITNESSES (i.e. Tribeca Grill STAFF) . DeNiro & WEINSTEIN have a very close & personal working relationship - according to the former TG staff - DeNiro KNOWINGLY ALLOWED WEINSTEIN to use his restaurant for these types of SEXUAL PREDATORY conditioning dates - AND WAS EVEN PRESENT MANY TIMES when it happened . YOU PEOPLE WANT TO SPEND YOUR MONEY SUPPORTING A DISPICABLE MAN - AND HIS BUSINESS - LIKE THIS ?

2021-12-25I was really looking forward to dining here. I know Robert DeNiro is an owner, which I didnt expect to see him I heard his fathers paintings were in the restaurant. The initial woman hostess was really nice and pleasant but they moved our table so we were by 1 painting 🙄 the food was good but the two male waiter and another staff member basically hovered over our table, even my 10 year old daughter noticed it which made what I would have hoped to be a relaxing family holiday vacation dinner a little annoying. I appreciate staff that is attentive but I would have liked to chew without a man just on stand by staring every time we looked. And while its a restaurant and not an art gallery I really would have liked to be able to see more of the art work.

2021-11-13Have not been back for about 20 years, when I used to work in the area. Feels about the same, but perhaps a bit stale. Was back for a corporate event. The steak was kinda tough, fish was good. We enjoyed the flatbread pizza starter and the burrata was good.Waiter service was very professional, the host who sat us was a little rough around the edges and didn’t seem suited to the job.Overall I would say the place has the vibe of a corporate event space or a wedding venue.

2022-05-29The original TriBeCa fine dining white table cloth restaurant. Great burger. Classic bar. Try it again if you haven’t been in a while. Pretty much everything is good.

2021-07-21Tribeca Grill’s food is very, very good. I had the pappardelle bolognese to start. The noodles were al dente, the sauce was light and flavorful, and the ricotta cheese added a desirable creaminess. I followed my appetizer with the truffle crusted salmon. This dish had very good flavors, but was cooked slightly longer than my medium rare request. I finished up with a delectable slice of chocolate mousse cake. The staff here genuinely want you to enjoy your meal. I had originally misstated the price of my drinks, and a member of the staff called me to make sure that I wasn’t overcharged. I appreciate Tribeca Grill’s interest in my experience!

2022-05-31I have been dying to eat here since forever. I finally did with my daughter and niece, and we enjoyed everything. Firstly I thought the place would be a snobby restaurant but it wasnt at all we were pretty casual. The staff was awesome my waitress and her supports were friendly and helpful and offered suggestions and accommodated our changes. The food was really good, I had onion rings and they were the best honestly I ever had, the creamed spinach was soooo good I know thats strange but it was delish. My chicken was good and my family cleaned their plates. Again the staff made it 5 stars for me. I really appreciated how we were treated and I will be back!

2021-09-27Below review was 5 years ago. Ate here just recently and unfortunately experience was not the same. Service was lovely and friendly but food was not as nice. Calamari appetizer was tasty, cornmeal crusted and fried well but served with a heavy mayonnaise based sauce. Campanelle was okay nothing special but the shrimp were extremely overcooked and tough. Rigatoni was served cold. Mushroom appetizer special was by far the best bite we had. Asked the sommelier a few questions about the wine I was interested in and he didn’t know the answer. Not sure if since I was choosing one of their lower end wines that he didn’t want to engage.Review from 2016. Atmosphere is lovely, staff extremely pleasant and helpful, food was delicious. Arugula salad and steak tar tar were great. The pork chop was tender and juicy And the pappardelle was one of the best pasta dishes I have eaten.

2022-06-30My dear friend and I had dinner there last night. We were not impressed with the menu. It wasnt the dinner experience we were hoping for. To make matters worse, we split an appetizer and within 40 minutes we were sick as a dogs. Such a horrible experience that we had to end our annual trip early.NEVER AGAIN!

2022-03-30Atmosphere is nice. Service was excellent. Pasta alla vodka was cold. Steak was dry & tough. Cheesecake tasted old.Not worth the price.
