Tribeca Pediatrics in other cities:
This place is the McDonalds of childcare, the office looks nice, hours are convenient but just like McDs you are in for junk childcare. Will spare the details, they gave the wrong antibiotic to my 1 year old and she had to get surgery. Unless you want make pretend medicine, stay away from this place.
Im really questioning the logic of the physicians in this office for requiring to wear a mask in the office. Any doctor, worth their salt, knows that asymptomatic transmission is a myth. Even Tony Fauci would tell you that. Universal mask mandate in your office is illogical and definitely not best practice. Oh, and by the way, the UPS driver came in maskless and proceeded to talk to the girls at the front desk for 10 minutes. Oddly, they didnt ask him to mask up???
This was our second annual check up and so far so good. I found out about Tribeca pediatrics from my close friend who highly talked about them. Last year great experience with flatbush office and this year 5th ave. Front desk is awsome, helpful. We never experienced anything but caring and helping. When I call, also very helpful, if I ever need a form, with safty protocols, its like 1...2...3...This year, 5th ave office , Dr Patel and nurse that helped us, were so amazing. And very respectful, they wont discuss anything sensitive in front of my kids,Overall, Im very happy with Tribeca pediatrics.
Weve been taking our twins to the Warren St office to see Dr. Lyons since they were born in 2017. Every experience Ive had has been outstanding and even though another location is closer we head across the island to this location. To me this place is amazing and feel lucky to have found it.
Took my daughter to Tribeca Pediatrics for her 18 month check up. This was our first visit and we will absolutely keep going! Dr. Brioche was awesome! She listened to what I had to say and was very good with my baby! She is at the Nostrand location! So happy we decided to go!
Most horrible experience, rude attitude from a nurse for asking if she was done with taking my daughter’s weight while I was holding her down on the table. My daughter was screaming on the table, still the nurse didn’t let me know once she was finished getting the weight. When I asked while still holding my daughter down if we are finished, (while still forcefully holding my disturbed daughter down), she snapped at me, and asked three times if I would prefer to see another nurse - while I was trying to calm my baby down. Barbaric treatment of a patient.
At this place work professionals. I met Dr. Michael Cohen in 2000. He is a very good doctor and businessman. I never ask for the same provider and always I receive a service on very high professional level. My two kids have been patients of Tribeca Pediatrics almost since their birth. Thank you!
Really great experience. Ive been taking my two children, ages 11 and 4Consistently, Tribeca Pediatrics (Warren St office) has been a great experience. Wonderful staff, super nurses, caring/knowledgable doctors who know how to speak with children. In case of emergency, the office response is outstanding.
First this review is for all Tribeca Pediatrics. Finally I am at a place that cares about my kids. Total difference from our previous doctor. This place isnt in it for the money. They care about the kids, even referring us to an urgent care center thats wonderful when they couldnt care for our kids. I called and got a nurse immediately! Love them!
Disclaimer; my daughter did not start going to the Silverlake office until she turned 5 so I have no experience whatsoever with how they are with infants. From what Ive heard about their philosophy I most likely would not have gone there. I breastfed both of my children till 3, co-slept and basically did all the things that would fall under the attachment parenting category, which Ive heard is not what this pediatric office practices. But, with my now 5 year old, so far we have had a great experience. Our physician is exceptionally thorough, patient and listens to any concerns I have, with solid follow up. For the past 20 years I have been going to the same family practice but started here when we moved and Im very happy with the care we have received and have recommended it to many friends who have children the same age and they all seem very happy with the care as well.
This is a great practice and Im unsure why they dont have a higher rating.Ive used them for about two years and have always gotten the appointment times I needed. Staff is professional and friendly and is also very efficient. I rarely have any wait at all and when I do, never more than five minutes.Highly recommended!
The office is fine enough - updated, quaint looking. The staff is kind and responsive. However, I cannot continue to go to this practice or ANY Tribeca Pediatrics locations as they allow unvaccinated children. They do not have separate days for vaccinated children and unvaccinated children to ensure a childs health. They accept all patients which is great for inclusivity. However, it would be common, logical, intellectual sense to allow healthy patients to not get the measles or other pending plague due to the lack of belief in science.I am disappointed at their lack of fact based policy. And at the fact that they are placing 100s of children in danger by not putting science first. Infection control/outbreak should be their top priority to keep innocent children safe and alive. The VERY least they could do is have days in which they allow a safe alternative where only vaccinated OR unvaccinated patients are seen so that if you care about science and facts and living past 6 months of age, you can safely be seen here but they dont and they wont even consider it.Be cautious about booking here you could come in for your well visit and leave on a stretcher (as one patient did during our visit).
I took my daughter in 4 times over a 2-3 months period and was told that nothing was wrong with her and I was imagining things. She had a cough, runny nose, crusty eyes etc. I took her to our local GP and within 30 seconds she was diagnosed with having bronchitis. We were given some medicine that cleared things up straight away. TriBeCa Pediatrics was terrible in dealing with my daughter and made me feel like an idiot for going back to see them. I would rate them zero stars if I could. I will never take her there again
I’ve been going to Tribeca since my son was born. In those three years I’ve been mostly happy. However last year my son had a viscous cough that lasted more than 3 weeks with intermittent high temperatures. I went several times and was told “he’s fine” even though I explained he was not sleeping at nights and barely eating. Out of desperation I went to see an ENT specialist who after looking in his ears jumped back in surprise at the ear infection that had developed. This week my son again has been struggling with another awful cough and on the second visit met with a Dr Baba (who I had never seen before) who was awful. Told me there was nothing they could do to help, that a cough could last over a month and not eating was no “big deal”. She even told me “I shouldn’t feel bad as it wasn’t my fault that he was sick.” Her entire demeanor and attitude was completely unprofessional and lacked any sort of sympathy. I would never go back as long as she was practicing at Tribeca.
We are literally in love with our pediatrician, Dr. Maja Castillo at Chelsea location. Have been with them for the past 5 years since daughter was a brand new person (literally). Just recently Dr.Castillo kept me and my almost 5 year old in the office for hours to get daughters illness under control and to avoid having to send us to the hospital (which is any parents nightmare and having a newborn too it would have been just terrible) and then followed up for 2 days after (and I know our insurance would pay them peanuts for it). Doctor suspected Pneumonia and treated LO for it although as I understand it its tricky to diagnose without xrays and based on how my daughter felt would have been easy to misdiagnose. The office is very responsive, available same day for emergencies, call backs, referrals, school forms.....theyre a gem and Dr.Castillo is the star!
I have been taking my kids here for years. I have 4 kids when i first started coming i would have rated them 4/5 starts however over the last few years i dread going to them. 3 out of 5 times i have had to wait for well over an hour past my appointment time to see the doctor. I even have called before my appointment or asked right when i come in how long of a wait it is and they tell me they are right on schedule. I understand it happens sometimes but should not happen every other time. It means i can not have anything else on my calendar for at least 3/4 hours and that is hard when i have 4 kids with all different schedules. when making my appointments the staff on the phone are impatient and short when im trying to fit my schedule with one of the doctors schedules that I like. I do really like the front desk staff on Warren Street there are 2 guys that are very personal and friendly when you come in. I like the emails they send before your well visit and their method on sleep training, only prescribed anabiotics when really needed, etc... Also as meantioned i have found 2 doctors there who i do like.
Over all, they are really good. However, you must know about this:1) The insurance is quite complicated. Sometimes, you will see outstanding balances on our Portal because your insurance doesnt pay all.2) If you miss an appointment without calling them back, they will charge you $25.3) looks like there are several hidden charges which they dont explain at your first visit. So, check what kind fees are there at your first visit.
Had heard good things about this practice from a parent who uses them in Brooklyn but after the take-it-or-leave-it attitude they seem to have towards new patients well be looking elsewhere for our childrens caregivers.Registered our toddler and baby-on-the-way as new patients on their website; downloaded, filled out and faxed their records request to our old doctor and got a form email from Tribecas office welcoming us to the practice and telling us to call for an appointment after the new babys birth, with no reference to our toddler. Emailed back about our interest in scheduling a visit to check out the practice and interview a doctor and was told that they only offer Intro to the Practice group sessions on Mondays at 6:15 pm. I work nights and our toddler goes to bed at 5 pm, so I emailed back that we couldnt make those sessions and requested an alternative. Got an email back saying that was all that they offered. Called the Tribeca office and was told that we would could come in for a consult during the afternoon but we would have to pay a $130 fee out of pocket since we werent yet patients. Apparently its easier to get reservations at Per Se than join this practice as a new patient.
Weve been going to the Greenpoint location for the past year and find the staff to be attentive and caring. Dr. Kasha takes her time and is a good sounding board for all things from sleep to feeding. Im sad to see the negative reviews since they dont match my experience but there are several practices so I assume they are not all the same. The Cohen book and its pragmatic simplicity resonated with us as well.
2 separate board certified doctors at 2 appointments over the course of a week -- totally incompetent, misdiagnosed my childs condition, resulting in delay of proper treatment and worsening of symptons. Cannot recommend booking an appointment with Dr. Varma or Dr. Patel unless you are only going for well-child visit.
Very practical and pragmatic practice. Do a good job of providing advice on the trials of childhood that arent medical like eating, sleeping, etc. Very good about delivering shots in the least painful way possible. No nonsense but nice. All three of my kids go here and we like it.

2022-05-17We love Tribeca pediatrics! We mainly go to the Chelsea location and it definitely has a community feel, which can be a rare find in NYC. They know my boys as soon as we come in and weve been seeing the same nurse since my son was 3 days old - huge shoutout to Liz!! They even know my sons lollipop and dinosaur preferences. My son didnt want to leave the visit today, he was dancing in the waiting room. They do great follow up and always answer our many questions patiently. We can get an appointment easily, and they seem to have extra same day slots for same day sick visits. Highly recommended. Thank you Tribeca!

2022-06-02We’ve been coming since 2018- our girls love it here. The staff are all kind and the doctors and nurse practitioners are great with kids. We generally only go to the Warren St location but it gives me comfort knowing there are locations throughout the city when we need it and we have visited another of other locations and experienced the same quality care.

2022-03-21We came here for an emergency visit as out of state patients. The staff were very helpful and understanding. The doctor and nurse were professional and caring with our kids. The character of a place is shown when you’re under pressure and need real help; and this pediatrician truly shone.

2022-03-14Fantastic experience. They helped my two-year-old feel comfortable when she was clinging to me and crying at first. By the end of her visit, she didnt want to leave. Special thanks for Gabe for making a balloon out of a glove! Dr. Lyons was fantastic as well - distracted my daughter during the shot and answered all of our questions and was very patient. Every branch of Tribeca Pediatrics is great and this was no exception. Thank you!

2022-07-07We are in love with Dr Michel. My elder one was born in New York and he was our life saviour.. He gave such practical advise and didnt believe in giving too many medicines.. The way he gave shots, my elder one never ever cried even once. Infact, I was heart broken when we had to move from NYC because we knew we wouldnt get someone like Cohen.

2019-10-18Weve been coming to the Tribeca location for over 10 years, when our 1st born arrived, and shortly after Dr. Michel Cohen first started his practice. Due to the growth of the practice, theres been a steady stream of different doctors staffing the different locations... So the downside is that you may not always get the same doctor, or develop a doctor/patient relationship. The upside, however, is that you can almost always get an appointment pretty quickly, and 95% of our encounters with the doctors have been excellent. Our most recent visit happened on 10/17/19, when I called to schedule an urgent visit for our 9 year old... The reception staff handled our call with care and attention, and scheduled a next day appointment. The doctor, whom I cant recall her name, was a younger female physician, who put my daughter at ease immediately, and provided her diagnosis with a very sweet touch. I also must give compliments to the desk staff, especially the gentleman who handled our check in and payment. There have been a few times when previous desk staff were not very customer service oriented and to an extent, a bit rude... But its obvious that the management has made improvements, and care about the patient experience. We are fortunate to be able to go to any pediatrician practice of our choosing, but we keep coming back for the convenience... And also the care.
