Triphammer Falls in other cities:
Beautiful and accessible to all. We parked at the botanical gardens and walked the bebee lake trail and then the gardens with our dog. It is free after 5 and on weekends. But only 1.50 per hour at the gardens parking lot. Go on their site and they have a good map of falls and trails.
Really nice waterfall in the heart of the Cornell campus. Bridge over the gorge lets you get a really nice view of the falls. I took away the 5th star because the suicide prevention nets, although understandable as to why theyre there, do take away from the view. And also the fact that the falls are on the campus grounds, makes it a busy area so that factored in to the taking the star away. Even with those factors, its still a great spot to check out
Fenced off waterfall on campus of Cornell University. You can only see it from a bridge. There is no castle like building in the rock like on pictures which what made us curious to visit it in the first place. Still beautiful but not worth the trip considering all the other amazing waterfalls in the area.
These falls are amazing. Located at the doorstep of Cornell. Imagine a university campus that has waterfalls, upriver lake and deep gorges. The falls come into their own during winter. Place yourself on the pedestrian bridge and lose yourself to the cascading sounds for a blissful no-mind experience.
Beautiful and scenic place, although the falls arent as tall or majestic as some of the other ones in the area. There is a walk path behind the Martin Tang Visitor Center that takes you directly to a foot bridge, where you can see the falls up close. The outdoor balcony of the Visitor Center also has great views. And finally, there is a partially obscure view along the vehicular bridge (with a sidewalk) on Thurston Ave.
Beautiful. If your an avid hiker then this isnt exactly a hiking activity in itself. Trail is mostly steps going up can either go down the same way or a parallel trail. There a couple of spots where people were swimming throughout but there is a lifeguard and diving board and dog washing area at the base
Unlike most other falls in the nearby area, triphammer falls does not offer a great view for a tourist. However, that does not mean there is reason to skip it. The fall creates a deep gorge and is still beautiful. And the point of origin is a pool of water, much like a small lake. Rocks are dramatic and add to the overall natural charm to the place. Do not miss it as part of your overall waterfall hopping experience in Ithaca. Limited parking and the best view is actually from a nearby vehicle bridge.

2020-10-11The falls are just ok. Difficult to get a good view point. The Cornell university area is nice though. Took abunch of fall pictures in the nearby area.

2020-01-01The first of 5 falls along Falls Creek. The pedestrian footbridge near visitor’s center traverses the Beebe Lake dam and reveals a series of step cascades that lead down to the actual falls. Unfortunately one can not view Triphammer Falls from this bridge but the series of cascading steps and it funneling down to a central spillway is quite interesting. The best viewing platform for this falls is from sidewalk along Thurston Ave bridge.

2020-03-11Nice view, but parking can be a problem. No free parking, you would need to park in a reserved spot and quickly run and take your photos! 😀

2022-02-24It is a beautiful place with the water from the waterfall falling from Lake Bebe. Itakas specialty is that the surrounding trails are good and the sounds of Hong Kwan-jo and Park Sae are beautiful.

2020-10-20Nice quick pit stop for a Gorgeous view. Park in pay lot. Best scenic spot is up at the end of the bridge looking down. Hard to locate trails to venture down into the gorge.

2017-09-28The building is now collapsed so it isnt as cool looking, but still beautiful looking. One fall is down the steps near campus and the other one with the collapsed building you can see by looking down on it from the bridge near campus. Parking is wonky because it has to be on campus.

2020-06-17We were visiting the area from out of town and spent an afternoon checking out the falls right in town. A local was kind enough to give us directions and said the falls werent much today, but we enjoyed them. I thought maybe she meant they were just a trickle, but they were better than that.
