This was a great interactive experience for kids and adults alike! Every thoroughly enjoyed them self and the staff members were very nice. Glad I didnt pay for the VIP as the face painting is excessive but the paint in the nose that is included was perfect! My only complaint is that the cafe is over priced!
Trolls is definitely an... experience, but this wasnt made for us, and completely worth it when you see the smile on your kids face. Its a guided experience, and the staff is Disney-great, with the ear to ear smile you have come to expect. Groups are small, with about 10 kids and their parents going through together. On weekends they will hold you to your time slot so DO NOT be late. They will try to accommodate if you are but you may find yourself waiting until 5. The experience itself is a mix of digital content with troll themed installations and sculptures throughout. Kids will go from room to room and interact with troll themed environment (giant animal and plant sculptures) then participate in a guided digital experience. (think giant iPad games or 3d video clips) The installations are done very well, and are a visual treat. At the end of each room they collect a 3d sticker which is used to make scrap book at the end of their experience. Every kid seemed to absolutely love it, though the experience went quicker than we thought, coming in at about an hour. Part of that might be due to the space, which is smaller than in other cities this has toured in, but at $29 it seems like a fair value. There is a VIP package that includes a troll themed makeover (troll wig and face paint) as well. This is perfect for kids from 5 to about 11 assuming they are Troll fans. A gift shop and cafe that serves sugar in all its possible forms and colors rounds the experience out. In the midst of the incessant Trolled themed music remind yourself that your doing this for the kids, and for them this is a 5 star experience.
A very fun and whimsical place for the kids! Worth every penny! I definitely recommend the VIP package for the kids so they can get the full experience! So much fun, staff was very friendly, its very timed and controlled to keep things moving. Recommend getting there early because they do start on time! All in all, GREAT family fun experience!
Not sure why there are poor reviews here. We went and my kids absolutely loved it. Thought it was extremely well done and staffed. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Many many details considered, highly interactive, and many takeaways for the kids to bring with them afterwards. Think it is a great value for the $.
I initially thought this was for girls only, but I ended up taking my 2 boys and they loved it. You go through this path a do different activities, that are sort of lead by a staff member. Its fun, but keep in mind that you will finish the whole experience in a bit under an hour. And even though boys will enjoy this place, there is a lot more for girls to do!
Very much overly priced (over $500) for a family of 12 with the experience lasting less than an hour. We even had one family member not attend and was told we could not get a refund for that ticket. The staff rushed my family as we had a 3:00pm time slot and I was told if I was not there in five minutes we forfeited our time slot and would have to reschedule. I explained I was looking for parking which is very scarce in the area and ended up paying a garage, which was another unexpected expense.
TODDLER APPROVED - I took my almost 3 year old here because Trolls is her absolute favorite right now. Its a little pricy but worth it because she had such a good time. Upon arrival you receive an invitation to Princess Poppys party along with a check list of things to complete. As you proceed through the experience checking off each task you receive a memento once each has been completed. Some things include a getting tattoos, making music, collecting glitter and taking a photo in the photo booth. Once everything has been completed you get to create a scrapbook using each of the memento you collected along the way. The experience ends with a chance to get a photo with Princess Poppy and then you exit through the gift shop that includes a confections bar where you can purchase cupcakes, cookies, lemonade and ice cream.
The whole thing was cute. I went with my son at the last minute and it was good for what it was, but honestly not worth the price. We did the general admission. Everyone working there was pleasant and kept their troll super smiles on. Each of the activities were fun, but the different dance parties could have been a little longer. It all felt rushed. For the amount of money they charge they could have played one or two more songs for the kids to jump around to and extended the time for each stop by 2-3 minutes. There was certainly enough time. We had a 3 pm timeslot. They let the VIPs in at probably around 3:07 and we didn’t go in until almost 3:15. We walked out into the gift shop at about 3:45. My daughter didn’t get to go and would like to, but we will probably skip it and throw a trolls dance party at home.
We recently took our child down and unfortunately missed our scheduled time due to train issues, thankfully the staff was was kind and understanding. They got us into the next makeup session and then next tour. We waited maybe 20 minutes, which wasn’t long at all considering they were squeezing us in. The makeup artist did and amazing job, the entire staff was up beat and so sweet with the kids. The parties they do along the tour are adorable, it was extremely affordable and worth the money spent to see the smiling and dancing faces. We would certainly return again.
EPILEPSY WARNING!!!! Although we dont have epilepsy I will say there should be a warning!!! The last part, the 3D Party has lots of blinking flashing lights and the creatures can be kinda scary.Im giving it two stars because my kids did have fun. 5yo girl, 2yo boy. But for the price its definitely not worth it. We were in and out of there in less than hour. Each room is 3 to 5 minutes. 7 tops.My daughter had the most fun because its really for girls. Its not gender neutral at all. At the end my daughter danced with Poppy. Theres no other live character. Theres only a souvenir bag with print out papers, gems and a picture.Adults shouldnt have to pay for something thats clearly not for them. We Cant even make our own scrapbook or take a picture. It may be for the kids but adults are still expecting to get their monies worth.
I had an AMAZING experience! I must say upon entering the place I was worried that we wouldnt have best time because it was so crowded but boy was I wrong!. It was a lot more organized than it looked and enjoyed activity and the end was truly the best. The staff enjoy their job and it shows. Everyone was helpful and polite from finish to end. Great job guys. I would recommend this for any age. We all have that inner child we want to release at times and this is the perfect place to do so. This gift shop was reasonable also.
I took my 5 year old on Christmas Eve 2018. The Experience and the Staff were really nice. The staff seem to really like their jobs. The Dab guy made me lol! The party and making music were the best parts for me! My daughter loved it though!I feel like $40 each for a PARENT & a child is a bit excessive. I dont regret the experience. However, I got tickets from Plum Benefits for $26! So Im happy! Youre welcome!😉
My just turning 2 year old had an absolute blast! This is a very well run , fun , interactive experience for young kids. Definitely worth the $24 ticket (I would cringe to pay more than that). The joy on her face was priceless the entire 30-40 mins of the experience. Meeting poppy at the very end was the highlight of course.
I cant Express how expensive this place is its insane:( I could not enjoy it after I seen how Much money my family spent for such a quick tour:( & Face paint I try to get the sale online but it didnt so call have any more offers Do to openings but when we get there the was NO body with any schedule appointment we just walk right in so I feel like I go ripped off . I had no Choice but to purchase the face painting apart when I couldve pay less online!!but ANYTHING FOR OUR BABY & GRANDSON💕
Best day ever!!!! Took advantage of their hug week promo and purchased 2 tickets and 1vip hair salon experience for my 4 year old daughter, and let me tell you we had a ball! From the moment we entered the staff was welcoming, informative and professional. The young lady who did my daughters makeup was friendly, personable and funny I really wish I remembered her name. I honestly don’t understand the negative reviews from some parents , I feel as long as the children enjoy themselves, it’s all good. My little one didn’t want to go home. We weren’t rushed, forced to stay with our group or any of those things. Take your children they will love it.😃😀
For the kids (and yes, I know it is an experience for kids) its great. Or should I say for little kids its great. My 9 year old did his best to like it, but ultimately he didnt participate. Everything besides the professional face painting was lackluster and flat. The staff smiled like they were supposed to but inside you knew it was a bore for them too; having to do it over and over again for different groups. From start to finish it was about an hour...wish I could get that back.
Great experience for the kids. Everything is really well done. Felt it was a little short for the price - maybe 45 minutes total, absent the face painting add on. Theres a nice concession at the end with deserts/treats. We arrived about 15 min after our start time and it worked out great - we missed the big rush and got in within 5 minutes.
Best Party Ever! My daughter is 1 and I traveled for two day to get to New York specifically for The Trolls Experience, Monday 24th of June! My heart melted as my daughter was by far the happiest child there, literally she out cheered everyone and danced her way through. I wanted to go the next day because it was fun. The staff was friendly, super friendly! The wait wasn’t the best but when you have an excited baby who wants to cut line makes waiting hard, but not that bad! You get to collect cool mementos and make a scrapbook. Regular tickets gets your child a nose paint, tattoo, and a cute troll headband. At the end you get your pictures taken with extra copies made at no charge. Then finally.... you meet the queen herself Poppy! My babies happiness made me beyond thrilled. My older children enjoyed it as well they are 13 and 20. Thank you Trolls Experience for making New York the beat trip ever filled with cupcakes and rainbows! We loved the Trolls Experience prices are great it’s about an hour long for little kids that’s great, gift shop is filled with troll toys and collectibles. Guaranteed to see Poppy if you have the chance take your kiddos to the Trolls!
It was just the cutest hour Ive spent there. Staff was on point with the kids really appreciated that. My niece enjoy getting her makeup done. She didnt however care for the troll hair hat. Snd really neither did I. And it didnt stay on her head very well. So we got the headband instead. Shes loved it. And the parents get to pick out some cool troll hair (cardboard) as well and a tattoo. Cute little activity for them.
The experience itself is amazing for any child that is 3 years and up. What I truly enjoyed is the staff. They were friendly and did everything in their power to ensure these little kids fully enjoyed the experience. One shot out to Queen Poppy (not a spoiler, I hope) but whomever dressed like her on the day that my little girl was there was super special. My daughter loves the Trolls and Poppy, so much that she didnt want to upstage her and picked to be the Rainbow Troll. When she met Poppy at the end, she hugged her for a little over 5 min STRAIGHT. For anyone that does this often, its hard to be in those costumes and deal with different kids personalities - but KUDOS to the staff that made sure my little girl had the best birthday EVA!!!!!!
We truly had the best time. I gifted my daughters and their little cousin this experience for Christmas. They were counting down ever since. They each had things they enjoyed. I had a blast in the Caterpillar gathering glitter and sparkles for Guy Diamond. The best part is at the end when we all got to meet Poppy. It was like seeing Mickey Mouse in Disney. The gift shop is very cute and offers a wide selection. Recommend this to all adults with kids heck the adults can go alone. 👍
So not what I was expecting especially after all the good reviews. My 3 year old enjoyed it but mommy did not. Guess I was expecting more!! I think this had the potential to be so much more intereactive but it wasn’t. Trolls is about singing and hugging and dancing. I was expecting a bracelet telling us its hug time and spontaneous singing and hugging, instead it was basically following a rainbow path and collecting stickers for a scrap book. Even the photo opportunities with the trolls on the wall (smidge) for example, its just an immobile picture your kid stand next to. Would be nice if he gets to try to lift the bar like Smidge did and see how high he can make it go or something. There was only one actual character dressed up as Poppy which he was able to take a picture which was the best thing. The second highlight was the 3 D dance party he went bananas there as well trying to catch the characters. But overall not what I was expecting for the price. Even the song they kept playing over and over, “best day ever”....come on the Trolls sound track is so awesome there are so many songs to choose from that the kids will recognize. Really wasn’t worth it.
So initially walking in you dont get a friendly welcome. The coat check person finished up his text before even looking up at me. The 2 people I was showing my tickets to both need improvement on customer service. We then waited for someone to get us. He was great. Actually the rest of the employees throughout were great. It was never rushed. Although we did go on a Thursday early afternoon. I took my son (5) and niece (3) and my niece definitely enjoyed it better. I wish the scrap book materials were more gender neutral but this place is definitely more geared towards girls. Luckily I got these tickets through the go card city app so I got a pretty good deal, I would have been pretty disappointed if I had paid the original price. Although it wasnt rushed everything in the rooms are a short experience. And theyre are only about 4 rooms. They should consider making the rooms more elaborate, doing gender neutral colors, and if not decreasing their price.
We went here for my daughters second birthday, she is obsessed with Trolls everything! I have never seen her more excited about something. She sat amazing for the V.I.P Hair We Go makeover, the staff there were so nice and talented. The whole experience was absolutely the best totally worth every penny and the drive from Pennsylvania. Even my five year old son had a great time. A++++++
Can’t give this place more than 3 starsWe went there with my 4 year old on 11/23/19There was no wait to get in, but also not so many kids, and my kid was going thru all the attractions by himself, also he was super excited to meet the Poppy but lady at the “after party” room said she was out to get ingredients for her cookies tonight and told us to wait for her in the bakery. We waited for like half hour more but nobody showed up. So it was a troll experience without Trolls for us 😐The whole experience was about 45 minutes. It’s not worth the price they charge for what they have to offer
We were there with our 4 1/2 year old daughter. We got her the full VIP treatment: face painting, wig and scrap book. The whole experience took less than an hour, and cost us $200. She enjoyed it a lot, but we did not appreciate the cost vs time. For $200 three can spend a whole day in Six Flags, including meals. If you have excess money to burn or if you get a serious discount, your child will enjoy it. Probably better just to have one parent in to save some money.EDIT: as the Trolls experience contacted us and compensated us, I grant them an extra star for customer support.
Its fun for little ones. They could use 1 or 2 more interesting rooms/parts of this play house its really Not enough play. my grandchild enjoyed herself. The prices for keepsakes/toys were astronomical and laughable! Oh the make up artist did a beautiful job on her face, too cute.
I took my daughter and my niece to the Trolls Experience. The show was great until I got to the store. My niece picked up an ite ( the cosmetic set) that was priced at 14.99 and I got same for my daughter. When we got to the cash register it turned out that same items were accidentally priced differently. They honored the lower price for one but refused to honor the price for the other one was the exact same thing. We were speaking with the retail manager, she called what feels like all the managers of the whole establishment. All of them were completely refusing to honor the lower price for the second set. The whole thing was completely unfair being that we were buying the exact same thing and we were part of one family. I couldn’t not get it because my daughter already saw her cousin getting it. Really upsetting since we already paid so much money for the whole experience. Really bad business and left a horrid taste in my mouth and made me feel like my business was not appreciated and that were were just a number on the cash register. I would not recommend this experience to anyone solely based on the fact that we were treated like that.
Visited the trolls experience as part of the New York pass for my daughters to enjoy something fun whilst in New York. It was an ok experience I would say.Kids had some fun, the hosts were really good.Probably a little smaller than I expected in terms of how long you spend in the building. The activities were quite short in comparison to other experiences.Children can make a small scrapbook by the end.
Listen this place is for KIDS not ADULTS!! Your child will have the time of their life.. it’s best you bring more than one child with you so that he/she may enjoy it better. I got the package which was $123 (does not have to be that much ) and it came with face paint/makeup and the hair of your child favorite character from the trolls. We were able to take amazing pictures at the photo booth and get them instantly in our hands / email and or phone. The employees were great and filled with energy made the experience even more amazing! The only thing I wish was that there were more characters other than poppy she was amazing but I would of liked to see branch and others there too. Maybe it was that day but I hope next time I will see more of them.
I would start that this is a cute place BUT definitely not a theme park! Even with a discount this is totally overpriced! The staff was nicely rushing you to the next step and the whole troll experience was over in 30 min.I was expecting to have little play stations similar to the crayons factory or a lego discovery center where we could have the kids entertained all day at the pace they like. But our family did not experience the fun play of a day at the troll experience “theme park”.As far as parking you can do with a 2hour street parking, we had parked our car in a garage thinking 2 hours would not be enough, big mistake that added to the expense.
Im reading the reviews, and it makes me think There are different experiences on different days. I paid $70 for VIP, and my child got a wig. The tour itself took 10 minutes, if it wasnt for the face painting that would have been it. They rushed us, and we only got to see POPPY at the very end to take a quick picture.!!! NO OTHER CHARACTER!!! They have Disney park type prices for gifts, old tasting rice crispy treats.. I drove 2 hours for this and between the parking, gifts and ticket price, I spent over $150 for a overall 30 minute experience!!! Im so upset, this was an awful experience!!! If they reduced the price to $5 it might be worth it!!
This experience was AWESOME!!! My daughter loved it. I will definitely be coming back!! Soon as you walk in it’s like your walking into dream world. Coat check loved that with free of charge. Every room was brightfull and full with happiness !!! Great staff very happy greetful. Only thing is I wished they had affordable prices for both adults and child.
Way overpriced for a quick meh experience. Of course kindergarten age kids will love it because Trolls but a wig and face painting (the highlight of the experience) is $50 bucks, no military or veterans discount, not even a mini indoor playground. Kids younger than 4 may not like it (like my 2 yr old) because its too overstimulating with heavy strobes and loud music. Also, there really isnt even anything to play with. The music room has buttons that light up but dont even depress, so kids get confused and move on quick. Then theres a stationary Troll, then an interactive projected/ touch screen game wall but good luck getting to that safely if rude kids are hogging the ONE game there. You cant climb on the grass mounds without sliding off since the faux grass is slippery (dangerous) then theres a 3D dance party with Poppy, which is fun but not worth $150 for a family of 4. You get a picture with Poppy (of your own taking) and a photo booth pic, and thats it! Over in 20-30 minutes. Go if you want, but be prepared as a parent to be underwhelmed. Hopefully your kids enjoy it though :/
It was a fun experience for the kids. The gift shop had a large variety of gifts and snacks for the kids to choose from. They had different activites for the kids to do ranging from making music on the troll animals to face paint to a 3d dance party for kids and adults. The kids collect momentums to add to a scrapbook before meeting poppy at the end.
This very fun place for both my child and myself. The staffs were super friendly too. I am giving 4 stars because I wish it was longer. The price for snacks way out was little too pricey to. My kid still talks about this place. Will return when I go back to NYC if its still there.
If you have toddlers AVOID! You promise them a troll experience and you dont actually meet a troll till the end! The whole thing is a lot of waiting around between stations and they are mediocre at best. The staff push the birthday parties through which only adds to the waiting around. The whole place is very warm and if you had a baby strapped to you I would stay away for fear of overheating. You do get some cute photos but not worth the money at all.
Definitely worth every penny I spent. I took my niece yesterday afternoon 3/29/19 we had the VIP Hair we go package. I even got turned into Rainbow troll. I never got my face fully painted before I have to say the artist that did us she was excellent!! I forgot her name but I loved every moment in the Salon. So much fun. The entire experience!! My niece had a ball and it was soo cute to see all the other children enjoying themselves together. The only con I would say is the pictures for the scrapbook I just feel like especially for VIPs we should atleast have the option of 2 prints instead of one. Like the child can take a solo pic and also one for the Adult solo or if we wanna take both together for the two prints. It just was alittle disappointing. Im glad I took as many other pictures throughout my time there that I can print to add later. To the staff and Troll Village thank you so much.🌈💜
We took our 3.5 years old there on Saturday. I have to say we were disappointed. It is too expensive for something this short! No one was available at the make-up station while it was not busy at all( actually no kid at all at that time). The only room that is cool enough was the 3D glass theater which l lasted about 10 mins.
I took my daughter here to celebrate her 4th birthday and I just didnt like the fact that the school trips were interfering with the activities she was trying to get in to ( For the price I would of expected a little bit more). Staff were kind off rushing us out off the activity rooms.... Face painting artist did a wonderful job.
For the amount of money spent, there needs to be way more thought put into this for it to feel worth it. There was minimal effort and it showed. Kids are extremely easy to amuse and please but these people didn’t even really lift a finger for this. I was highly disappointed and won’t be recommending anyone to attend this again. I suggest incorporating a bit more of an interactive experience rather than having this be so hands off and detached. As it stands, this is currently a money and tourist trap. Not worth it.
Not worth the money at all! Not much interactive activities to do. Extra perks cost alot of money and face gets painted with alot of glitter. After going through each room kids get a small sticker that is usually with glitter and useless. Small children are enthralled with the wonder of it all but ages 6 and up are bored. Everything for sale is extremely over-priced.
Budget about 90 mins from arrival to work your way through the experience - a bit more if youre doing the VIP experience. Our two year old had fun, but it was a little beyond her. It was right up our 8 year olds alley. Be sure to use the restroom BEFORE you exit the Poppy photo area, as youre not supposed to reenter the experience once you hit the gift shop area.
Cute concept, but for the outrageous amount of money they charged, there should have been more for the little ones to do. The best part of it was the makeup session. They even charge $4.00 for water and had the nerve to not put it in my bag. I didnt realize they didnt until i got all the way to the garage. Guess what I did? You know it. I walked myself right back there and got my water! $4.00? You darn right I did!🤣
Get the full experience by upgrading your ticket..our make up artist was amazing as she completely transfered by daughter into Poppy, you get to take your own family photo as a memorabilia for your scrapbook , sing, dance and make beats. Its awesome for your little ones.
Great place for the little kids that are familiar with the movie and cartoons. The stations are beautifully decorated. The staff is friendly and courteous. For an extra few the kids can get made up like the characters in the movie and cartoon. The music and tv screens are very artful and interactive.
If your kid loves trolls they will love this, though it could be a bit longer for the money and they do sort of rush you through each section of the experience. The ticket upgrade for the Trolls makeover is well worth it. The makeup artists they have on site are shockingly awesome.
Our start time was 10:00 am. We made it there by 9:50. Entering the troll experience was an experience in itself. I bought the v.i.p package. My daughter was lead to the makeup and wig section, there she picked out a wig. The staff did her makeup and, we were off to enjoy the troll experience. My daughter loved every minute of it. The only problem I had was the duration of the show ,it was over before we knew it.
Super nice employees, cute concept. We bought our tix with the 50% off code HUGWEEK. I knew going into it that my daughter and her friend (just turned 9) were probably too old for the experience, but they do love the trolls - so it was worth a shot. Here is the catch 22 - the thing that made it worth the visit for them was the VIP Hair & Makeup package which was an extra $50 per kid, but that was also what brought down my rating of the experience. $50 is *A LOT* of money for facepaint and a polyester wig. The facepainter, Sam, was lovely and really talented, she did a great job. The wig just slips on, nothing special required - in other words, not really the “salon” experience they’re pitching. So for an extra $100 the kids looked and felt spectacular, but I felt the fool for spending so much when I’m sure the wig could be bought for $10 on amazon and I could have painted their faces before we went. The confetti tube was lackluster and a bit crowded, but the 3D show was a standout. The printed photos were a nice touch at the end, the scrapbook sheets probably won’t impress any kids over 4, but it was a cute idea. Many people complained in reviews the experience was too short, about 45 minutes, but realistically the activities weren’t plentiful enough or developed enough to last much longer without kid fatigue setting in. I thought the employees were really professional and seemed to care about their jobs, kids notice those things - they were into making sure the guests had fun. All told, I’d recommend the experience - but I’d have a hard time defending the $50 VIP price tag to anyone who didn’t need it to coax their kids into going. Little ones would be fine with the painted nose and cardboard troll hair you can grab which is included in the entry, or just paint and wig them before you go!
My experience only lasted 40 minutes at best and that’s giving it a lot of credit. They only gave us eight seconds to get multiple kids together in order to take a photo that only gave you one time to redo. Anybody that knows children knows that it’s impossible to get them to pose for a picture in that amount of time. I also feel that it’s inappropriate for them to have the VIP children at the same time as they have the regular children going through the experience it’s not fair to the kids whose parents could not afford the VIP for them to be subject to seeing all of the things that they got that the kids who didn’t have the money didn’t get it I do feel that it would be better served for everyone if they had VIP at a separate time slot there is no reason that kids should have to deal with that and the parents as well having to hear their kids complain about why their face isn’t fully painted.
My LO wants to go again the next day. Loved the 3D show. However, I was irritated that many of the pictures booths were not working. I stood in line on 3 different ones to finally get a picture, not great task with a toddler. The lighting with Poppy was dim, so all my pictures were dark.
Took my daughter here and my husbands nephew and they are super shy but were still able to enjoy the experience. they didnt like the idea of getting their noses painted bbut there was stilll a lot for them to do. we liked it as adults as well. the gift shop as you would expect is crazy expensive. i did the buy one get one free but i would not have paid full price. the whole thing was about 30 minuutes long. they get to make a page for the scrap book so no need to actually spend $20 on it like we did to be honest. they only give you one page so it doesnt make sense. the staff is really friendly so that was great. overall good experience i would say. kids still talking about it so thumbs up from us
Very fun and interactive place for kids and adults to go to. my recommendation is that, if you can do the VIP experience do that you get a much better hair and face painting experience with the non-vip. other than that its a great experience and Im fully recommend it to anyone who wants to go.
They have no where to park your stroller. They have a coat check that is closed for the season. You have to leave your stroller in the lobby with all the other strollers. We had to carry everything from the stroller with us for the experience. Or decide what we could leave in case our stroller was not there when we got back.My kids did have fun and it was a good time but without a place for strollers you can not get a good review.
My kids enjoyed being at the trolls experience.Reasons for less stars: We paid extra to paint their faces. We ordered the middle package and landed with 1/2 face paint. I felt that the full face should have been painted for the amount of money paid. You will spend 35-45 minutes without face painting exhibit. Also, the staff rushes you through the facility. There is a very limited time you can spend per area before a staff member who push you to the next step.
Not as exciting as I thought it would be. My husband and I took our 2yr old son on a Thursday morning at 11:30am. When purchasing tickets you are required to set a reservation time. It was pretty empty so we didn’t have to rush through each station. My son was not very interested needless to say he wasn’t feeling the whole “experience” and neither were we. The hosts at each station were bubbly and happy but there wasn’t much going on aside from that. Each station is narrated by the host and you do a little activity like make music, nose paint or catch confetti. It took us 30mins to go through it. We expected to be WOWED and thought the attraction would have more to it. This was not much of an “Experience” for us.
My daughter had a great time celebrating with Family and Friends, I myself thought the “hype” was bigger than the experience. This place is incredibly small, you are pushed through each experience within 5mins. , if it wasn’t for Hair and Makeup the entire experience can be done in 15 mins. Even the acting was not pretty dry. . Overall everything is pretty overpriced for that experience. I left disappoint knowing that I travelled all the way to New York to be apart of this.
TRASH! Worst experience!Overpriced! Obnoxious, tired and unfriendly staff.Very unwelcome place.10min of absolutely nothing.Unfriendly poppy, did us a favor for taking pictures with my 5yo twin boys. Was one girl name Maria, she was the nicest, funny and very friendlyOther then that, Waist of money!!
I expected so much more :/ Took a 2yo boy and 3 girls, ages 8, 6 and 5. Our tour started 10 minutes late, to give the VIPs time to get makeup. So all the littles are waiting impatiently in line for 10 extra minutes. Why not just tell us the later start time?? The whole experience took 40 mins and I’d say at least 15 mins of that was waiting to get to the next room. Everything was very underwhelming. Each room felt more like a holding room for the next which you assume (hope) will be more interesting. They crammed too many people (Adults) in the caterpillar room with blowing paper bits. The paper wasn’t able to fully blow and the kids didn’t know what was going on or what they were supposed to do. It was weird. Then the 3-d movie could have been cool. But a bunch of adults stood right up front blocking the view from kids. I asked someone to move so my 5 year old could see and she just stared dumbly at me. This really seemed like a waste of money, and I live in NYC so go to quite a few of these types of shows with my kids. They said they had fun, but it seemed forced. Usually when they leave a show they are yammering on about it. Today they just wanted to know what’s next.
It was a pretty cool experience. You basically get guided (follow a rainbow path and attendants at each spot) through the whole thing and get to interact at the various stations including a 3d dance part. It is timed, however, so you have to make sure you just play and do as much as you can. Would have liked to spend more time in certain spots. Theres an enclosed confetti tunnel spot too and youre in there for about a min or 2. The cool thing is that there are large windows that you can stand outside and look inward from to see the action if you want. They have a coat check and there are a few tables at the beginning/end (home run path around whole thing) where you can get some drinks and small snacks. You cant bring any drinks or food through experience. They sell boxed (like milk carton) water. Theres toys, games, & clothing and such in that same area, too.
I have a daughter who just turned 8. Her favorite things include face paint, dress-up, & dancing, so this event was kind of a no brainer for us. We decided to go with Grandma on Christmas Eve correctly assuming it wouldnt be crowded. We practically had the place to ourselves. The make-over was pricey, but the look of joy on my daughters face was worth it. My daughter had the time of her life participating in all of the interactive activities and literally flew into Poppys arms at the end. Poppy spent a good amount of time dancing with her and offering numerous hugs. The entire thing took exactly an hour, including the make-over. All of the staff was engaging and friendly despite having to work on Christmas Eve and it is close enough to walk to Rockefeller Center afterwards to see the tree. There is a complimentary coat check. (I recommend tipping at both the coat check and the salon) Do yourself a favor & skip the over-priced slushie though. It was way too syrupy and not drinkable.
Honestly, two stars is ENOUGH. I was so disappointed in this “experience”. Paid almost $140 for my son to get his face painted along with a wig, go into 3 rooms and jump for a couple of minutes in each. I expected this to be like Troll world, where he would get to play and there would be characters walking around, bubbles in the air, more lights, I don’t know i expected MORE for what I paid for. As soon as I posted my disappointment on my social media a couple of people said the same. Wasn’t worth the time or money. It felt like, “get them in and out, NEXT GROUP!”
I came here as a chaperone for a pre-k field trip. It was age appropriate and so much fun. It might feel a little rushed, but if we spent any more time there I think everyone would have had a meltdown. Totally recommend this for a field trip especially because of the discount tickets. Staff was friendly and helpful!
Yes the kids had fun- while it lasted but we were in and out within an hour and that included the VIP makeup and scrapbook. Agree the experience is for the children but as an adult I have an expectation of quality and value. The staff was friendly initially, and since we were early customers, still energetic, but it was obvious they were on a “move them in and thru” schedule. They did not allow lingering or staying behind. We were quickly ushered from one activity to the next. Once you are done you are done, and you are not allowed re-entry.Some suggestions:Do not buy the extras, you do not get value for the price1. Go and enjoy the experience but know it is not a place where you will spend much time so if you are coming in from the burbs plan something else to do after.2. Arrive early at opening. As crowds build, so does staff inflexibility and grumpiness.3. If you are on a limited budget skip the VIP $75 makeover and dress up the kids before you go. You can get the head piece on Amazon for 14.72 and less with a costume on EBay. Buy a face painting kit for less than $10 and your good to go!4. Buy a scrapbook with plastic sleeves at a craft store. Your kids do exactly the same activities at the “after party” wether or not you purchased the $29 package. You can slip the pages into their own book.5. Bring your own snack and water. They only have sugar choices and a drink can cost you $15.If you prepare ahead and just pay the entrance fee you will spend $25 per child instead of $150 which felt a bit like a rip-off after being rushed through the events and out the door.Find a place to eat that caters to families and fun we ate at the Brooklyn Diner right next door which does not have a children’s menu, bad service and is quite pricey.
I took my son on Saturday morning hoping to use our Sightseeing Passes. Unfortunately (and understandably), we could not attend because all of the timeslots were filled. The place was PACKED with families. One of the employees told me I should try to book in person for a future day since I couldnt book online. I went to the front attendant and he would not book for me! He asked me which day I wanted, and I said either Sunday or Monday. He told me Monday would probably be better, so I said that was fine and I wanted to book a morning slot. He insisted Mondays are not busy and there was no need to book a slot in advance. I reminded him I had a pass, and said I would not want to show up with my son again just to not get in and he said it would not be a problem. I was well aware that its Spring Break for families from all over. Guess what! It was booked! I stayed in a nearby hotel and intentionally planned our breakfast so we could go to Trolls right after, and there were no slots until later in the afternoon. I tried to book and I asked more than once. I am so disappointed in having to disappoint my son and waste our time.
It was nice, but the parents shouldnt have to pay there is nothing for them to do. And when they say there will be trolls there i expected at least poppy AND branch. My daughter was heartbroken that branch was not there. If your going to have those characters as the VIP makeover, they should be there. The whole experience took about 35 mintues because it seemed a little rushed....and not for nothing but for $50 i expect a poppy hairpiece that actually stays on her head. I spent more tine fixing the hairpiece then actually enjoying the exhibit. It was nice but i expected eay more from Feld Entertainment....
We went to the troll experience today my daughter had a blast but it came with a price!!! The general admission ticket was 40 dollars. And the vip experience was an additional 50 for her. That’s 90 dollars for a 4 year old to get her face painted and a wig. If you just get the general admisión ticket for 40 bucks, the kids get a tattoo and a cardboard wig (lame). 40 bucks for adults seems a bit much considering it’s a kids attraction. I know it’s nyc but it’s a bit much.
My 4 year old daughter loved it, so thats the most important thing.Somewhat pricey, but hey thats NY. (A troll wig was something like $30+).Also its not like an amusement park. You spend about 1 hr goi mng from room to room or station to station (about 5 or 6 stations) with different games and entertainment at each.
Performance was great, although I tried going back upstairs like I was told to by the face painters due to my daughter being shy at that moment to get her face painted and attend the V.I.P section but I was denied there service with an excuse of the store being closed. $94+ and I couldnt even get my daughter face painted poorly behavior by the staff memebers.
Not worth the $30 a piece. The set ups were mediocre at best (that’s me being nice). The workers looked bored (hell, i would be too). Wasn’t very interactive at all. With Trolls being so huge as a movie, you would think they would give a way better experience. There wasn’t even great set ups for photo ops. Just horrible.
Trash! save your money. The only reason I went is because my daughter is obsessed with trolls. Its a walk through with watching TV screens and pushing stupid mushrooms, to make music. Theres statues of some of the trolls. And you have to pay extra for the face painting. Only at the end of this thing do you get to take a picture with poppy the troll. There is no one else as other characters from the movie and TV show. The place looks like a hair salon converted into this horrible experience. The gift shop is overpriced with stuff you can by from the pharmacy across the street. Skip it if you can
We popped in when saw a couple of kids walking on the street with their face painted amd their hair done like Trolls. We immediately got out tickets and got inside. When we were upstairs and wanted to get my LO’s face painted they said we need to go to thr box office on the same floor and pay extra. At the box office they said they were sold out for the day and the artiststs were too busy!! I said you should have said this at the entrance when we got our tickets as that was the main purpose of our visit! They said we can take ithe issue to downstairs. Employers at the downstairs did not seem to care much when we told them how upset our daughter was. $137 for 2 adults and 2 kids for like an half an hour experience just felt a bit too much. I also feel like there should have been more real characters besides Poppy as she was the only charecter at the exit to take pictures with!
I had the worst experience ever at this place! So overrated. I went on Sat, Feb 9th and it was a complete DISASTER. Everything was so disorganized. The lines were all over place. I paid $170 for 2 VIP expierences and if I honestly believed any attempt to get a refund work actually work, I would absolutely ask for my money back! My reservation for the hair and makeup was at 6pm and my girls didn’t get seen until 7pm! Neither one of them enjoyed the experience because it was so overly crowded and poorly managed that we spent most of our time there waiting which took all the fun out. I am extremely disappointed.
HORRIBLE customer service. I typically do not write reviews, but if I could give them zero stars I would. I purchased my tickets one month ago. On the day of arrival it started pouring down. I asked if it was possible to change the date due to the fact that I would be traveling from New Jersey in the rain with a two year old. I was told that I could not reschedule because other experiences are booked, however, I could purchase more tickets then get a refund for my first order. I don’t think this makes sense at all. They could care less about your experience and much more about the money. The customer service is horrible. I would never purchase tickets for this again.
Today we visited the Troll experience. I’m giving 2 stars because my 4 year old had fun but I was disappointed. A few things I noticed was there was only one troll present. I thought for sure there would be at least a few, I mean it is the TROLL experience. It is even advertised that you would see certain trolls. Also I thought the cupcakes at the end were free (that’s the impression the website gave me) they were not only for sale but way over priced and not as nice looking as the ones advertised. Gift shop was over priced as well. For the amount of money the tickets cost I just thought we would get more.
While the premise and the set up were very good, we were rushed thru this experience in NYC like they were just trying to get thru a huge crowed - it was me & my granddaughter and there was another group ahead of us that had 3 girls. No one else behind us until after 20 mins. If you think you are going to spend anything more than 1/2 hour in the place, that is definitely not happening. Disappointed in being so pushed as there were so many things to do.....
First of all we had to purchase 4 tickets, 2 adults, a 2 year old and a 7 year old ticket. The adults and 2 year old have absolutely nothing in it (basically we were just accompanying the 7 yr old) so 3 tickets down the drain(wish we knew this before, we would have just kept the 2 yr old outside and sent the 7 yr old inside with an adult). They should not be charing adult tickets , its a total rip off !My 7 year old had high expectations only to soon find out that this whole place is hyped beyond imagination.A couple of photo booths,a music room(plays 5 mins of music) and a dance room(5 mins of 3d show) with kids getting some paper cut outs yes PAPER CUT OUTS (like mirror, jewel and leaf, phew !!).My 7 year old’s reaction at the end summed up the whole experience “what , did we just spend $100 to get a plastic bag with paper cut outs,I do much better activities on my regular school day than this”..I know many attractions in NY are purely hyped but this took it to a new low.If you want to teach your kids how not to waste money, pls give them this experience and they will never need one more in life !
Expensive and disappointing. When packed with kids or a birthday party this may be fun but when its just a couple of kids its pretty lame. My advise is either avoid this experience altogether or try to find a time when its busy and hopefully the excitement of a crowd of kids can make up for what otherwise is an unremarkable experience.
I have been on the website trying to book for my granddaughter bday and she is so excited. Website gave a lot of problems all week. I’ve been call the 800 # to speak to a representative all week today after 5 calls I get a representative on the line.. she transferred me to someone name Mark Smith who said first he was the owner then he said he was the customer service manager. By far this was the worst experience trying to book and to get someone on the phone who claims to be the manager and when u speak to him you wonder y it was had to talk to someone. They definitely don’t satisfy their customers and he’s by far the worst manager I’ve been in contact with to try to resolve an issue.
My bank and investigators have contacted this place and advised them of a stolen credit card that was used to purchase tickets, but staff remains uncooperative and continues to conceal the identity of the person. Great job guys! This is called aiding and abetting and everyday you fail to cooperate makes it that much harder on everyone involved with this case. You are hindering prosecution and I’m gonna spread the word to everyone! Thanks for the complications.
They have good treat for vip not for regular after paying 105 plus tax with my self and my two kids, they put us on different line and vip has different #my kids not allowed to have face painting just because we walk in but regular ticket..kids doesn’t know what is vip I hate it we ended up coming out less than 45m never going again
My daughter enjoyed herself however they did run out of makeup and theres no phone line in this actual location the customer service center dont have an idea of why whats going on at this particular location so heads up ask always check there website we arrived at 3pm and almost didnt get in due to overcrowding

2019-07-20I was there yesterday 7/19/19 with my children and they had a great time. I wished they had more attractions and real rides, but after all, it was fun. It’s a bit pricey for a family of 4, especially in the cafe. That’s where you will be spending money on overpriced items which are not worth it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to the kids and parents.

2019-05-27FANTASTIC!My daughter (14 month old) was not in the greatest mood during our experience (she was overwhelmed), however, my 7 year old niece had a BLAST!Money well spent. Our tour group was super small (11 people) and we came on a Tuesday (05/21/2019), so it was super awesome to have our tour more personable. It lasted an hour and kids get awesome trinkets throughout the tour for a scrapbooking party at the end.Totally recommend getting tickets and experiencing the biggest, baddest, party ever!

2019-03-09I didnt expect much from this placa. But when we arrived to the front of the building my kids were hyped. You walk in and its like a night club for kids Lol. My kids were amped and wanted the run the place. The lighting seems to warp you in a whole other world. My youngest is Autistic and to be honest it was to much for him. But the staff was super patient and so understanding. He didnt get the salon bit done because he didnt want to be touched. But the staff was respectful and he eased in slowly. My daughter has ADHD and she was LOVING the place. It was up her alley.Snacks are pricey but the look on my kids faces were worth it. The shop on the other hand is cheap. It is 60 minutes and there is a little bit of everything to do. It is truly an experience!💗 My family had a blast!

2019-09-22I was apprehensive about attending this because the prices were outrageous and I saw a lot of reviews from unsatisfied customers. However, Im so glad that I took a chance and booked it! My 4 yr old and I had a really incredible time. Fun and interactive for the kid who loves singing, jumping and dancing. The makeup artist did an impressive job of turning my kid into Rainbow Troll and the keepsakes are too cute. I think my daughter will remember this for a while. I recommend it for the Troll lover in your home ❤

2019-08-30This immersive experience is intended for kids who are into the Dreamworks’ movie and the Netflix trolls show. However, I think a group of adults who are into trolls culture from a vintage standpoint would have a blast here as well. It’s $24 a ticket which is a but pricey but I thought it was fun. Based on what I saw with the kids in my group this morning, I would say forget about the VIP hair and makeup option. Save your money for the gift shop and cafe instead.

2019-02-19Had an amazing time. But not worth the $50 for the VIP experience. General & VIP are together the entire time. The only difference is VIP gets a full face painting and a Trolls wig. General admission gets only their nose painted and a hard paper wig(shown in the pics). Everything else is exactly the same. But overall a really nice time and I would absolutely recommend going.

2019-05-11We got the recommendation from a friend of ours and the visit was worth. It wasnt too crowded and kids did the activities on their pace. Our daughter likes to get dressed up so we got full experience for her and she liked it a lot. Poppy Birthday party was fun. There wasnt really anything to do for adults except the photo booth at the end, so I wished they had reduced entry price for adults.

2019-01-10Trolls The Experience was amazing and my daughter enjoyed herself immensely the only complaint is that it’s expensive for only 45 minutes. After leaving she says mommy can we go back! What!! From the time we entered to the time we exit she couldn’t stop smiling Branch Musical Mash Up was her favorite. Contemplating if I will bring her back before the Troll Experience leaves like I said it’s costly.

2019-11-26The experience was a bit confusing at times but very enjoyable and interactive. The VIP experience was too expensive just for a wig and complete face painting. The girls enjoyed it which at the end was the goal. I would suggest going during the week as the weekend was over stimulating with the huge crowds. J

2019-08-11This place was so fun. I took a chance by bringing my 12 year old daughter. She had a blast. We paid for the wig and face paint but it was totally worth it. It is a small place but fun and interactive. Buy your tickets online it is easier. There is a cute little store at the end if you want treats but no bug food items. We had a blast. Hoping it will expand maybe add another live Troll like glitter Troll or something. It was fun though and worth the experience. Make sure to make an appointment. It does not seem to be a place for walking in.
