Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Answer all your questions and don’t pressure you into buying anything. Had exactly what I wanted at a great price. Will be a regular during the fishing season.
What a great find, this place was loaded with tackle and gear, rods and reels. Stopped in 1/9/20 and met a guy, forgot his name but he is in the youtube videos, he helped with all kinds of questions, gives suggestions on what is selling and what people are using. Super knowledgeable and familiar with local waters. No pressure to buy he just gave possible suggestions for what I was looking for. I was not to sure of what exactly I was looking for, really just looking for a new set up and this guy just helped. If you are reading, thank youI will be going back to get the Shimano trevala 63L and the Tranx 200, I have yet to feel a better combo.
The offshore fishing community in LI is fortunate to have Trophy. Its the place to go for offshore equipment that is all quality. No weak links with these guys - every year from service to rigging materials they have exceed what you would want for your Local Tackle Shop- Its just a great place to go- ask for Joe- my yearly advisor!

Good shop, great selection of saltwater inshore and offshore products. Not much surf casting gear, like rods but they do have lures.
I drive 3 hours to go there instead of 20 minutes to another Tackle shop, well worth it for the knowledge of the proper gear an tactics for the fish you are targeting.

2020-10-30Great tackle shop with tons of offshore and inshore stuff. Only thing better than the selection they have is the knowledge and kindness they share with all of the customers that walk through the door. I immediately felt like I was hanging out with friends and trading fishing tails as each staff member shared their years of on the water knowledge that you cant get unless you live the life. Thanks John and company.

2019-07-31They are very knowledgeable and generous! I have bought a lot of equipment from them and always walk away satisfied! I am a fresh water angler and it is hard to find hi end gear for that around here but I can always get what I need there. The owner is very nice and attentive and I can say the same for his workers also. I have bought reels, clothes, rods, tackle And hats from them. They also fix reels and rods which is a huge plus. I don’t go anywhere else for my fishing needs. I highly recommend Trophy Tackle for all your fishing needs!!!

2019-08-08I made the trip from Manorville based on the great reviews. The shop has a excellent selection to meet any budget. The staff is very knowledgeable and all of my questions and concerns were answered. The customer service was great with no pressure and plenty of patience. I did purchase a new Penn reel and Centaur rod from them and very happy with both. Also their shop is just a mile from Sunrise Highway.

2019-06-25Hands down, Best Tackle Shop on Long Island. The owners and staff are a real class act. Always helpful, knowledgeable and positive. Never judgemental or rude. They make you feel comfortable and stand by what the sell and service. Thats why I travel 40 minutes, past dozens of other tackle shops to go to Trophy. Thanks Guys!

2018-07-17Great shop. Will definitely be coming back on the regular. Joe took the time to set me up with a new custom Calstar offshore rod. Couldnt be happier. I had been going back and forth trying to decide what to go with. He asked me questions, explained everything, and had the patience to walk me through my decision making process. He made a solid recommendation and now definitely earned a new customer. These guys have everything offshore and I ended up getting a new harpoon for a fair deal there too

2018-12-29Hands down one of the best tackle shops I have been to. a very large selection of rods you typically dont see at other stores. not only was the staff knowledgeable but extremely friendly and willing to help I will be back, definitely worth checking out
