Called in order, got there 10 minutes later of when food would be ready and had to wait 30 minutes. The food was really good but annoyed since i was in a hurry. They need to work on that.
Excellent food. Very authentic and reasonable prices. I have ordered with my family a good number of the offerings at this place. We usually get combo #2. A whole chicken with rice, beans, salad a soda and some Hot sauce. We also have purchased combo #1 which includes 2 chickens, not just one. Also combo #2 with fried chicken which has been pretty good every single time (minus 1 time it was a bit dry). Only once we had the combo with the pork chops. Cant complain about any but the pork chops has been the least requested by the family. A note on combos, soda selection is limited. Individual plates: we had the beef ribs and the bandejas and the fried fish (red snapper if I recall correctly). Wife approves. We like the side dish: yuca frita (small but good), tip for you: take it out of the bag or open it as soon as possible so it doesnt get soggy, same goes for tostones. So far we havent had anything we didnt like. The one thing which was so so: Empanadas. I do recommend this place. DO KEEP IN MIND: if you go there when it isnt too crowded you will get more attention - this has been my experience for take out. Ive only had a meal in the place once. Most times I go it isnt too crowded and the food is ready, I am in and out. On a Friday or Saturday night you may have a different experience. With all that said: the food really is excellent. Give it a try, keep an open mind, dont expect 5 stars service and you wont be disappointed, service is good just dont go in thinking you will get 5 star service, It is a nice place. Big TV sets usually tuned to a soccer game or other sporting event plus Latin music. Not a huge sitting area but enough tables (at least 6). I have not had a single bad experience with the staff there, good people there at pickup and paying is usually a breeze unless it is crowded. I do speak Spanish as most of the staff there so I can guess that helps. Stop by and try it. I will post pictures of the food another time.
Worst ecuadorian food experience ever! Im the type of person that if the food is good I dont mind the price but when is bad and expensive it is no bueno. Hope someone helps them cook better.
Very delicious food. Everything that I tried was excellent. Our server, was very professional and pleasant. He was able to inform us on a variety of drinks and menu items.I will keep coming back

The first time I ordered from here the food looked and tasted good. But the second time I ordered, the encebollado de pescado the broth just looked like some dirty water luckily looks are deceiving because it didnt taste as bad as it looked. I ordered the picada tropical because I had it the first time and enjoyed it but this time around oh my god I must say the worst ever. My fries were soggy the chicharon had more fat on it then actually meat and there were pieces of broken bones that looked like left overs from someone else plate. Like what the f*%@!! I should have ordered Chinese food instead. The Colombian empanadas looked nothing close to the ones they have in Jackson heights, when I tore it in half soggy stew meat came out , like where are the potatoes and meat how it should have looked ? It didnt even taste like it. I was just so displeased with the food, they should seriously fire the cook and find someone else who truly knows how to make Ecuadorian food. Def not giving these people my buisness anymore .

Ordered Bandeja Paisa for delivery and I didn’t receive the beans, call them back and got an attitude from the girl that answered saying I need to go back and grab the beans myself if not I can just come by later to get a refund. Nobody cared about the customer. Early next day I called back and complained to the manager they again send the same order but they AGAIN forgot to put the beans and can of soda in the bag. Tried to call them back but no answer, what a waste...
I guess they are a thriving business so much so that they could care less about making money. I live 0.9 miles away and called to place, what would have been a $60 delivery order—- but they “didn’t want to deliver over there”...!?!
Great little neighborhood place with good food. Lunch included a deliscious seafood lunch, a agua fresca or juice (guava), and a nicely done fish on a tasty sauce with rice. Very well spent ten bucks!

Food is good no complaints, easy parking, didnt have to drive all the way to Jamaica or long island city to enjoy Ecuadorian food and that was the best part!

La atención al cliente fue lo peor que he visto, normalmente yo voy a los otros tropical que normalmente son muy buenos y saben lo que hacen. En este tropical 5, éramos solo dos personas pero tuvimos que repetir la orden 6 veces y aún así la orden estuvo mal, la persona que me trajo la orden se veía que era nueva y la que me trajo el plato parece que había estado trabajando hay. Cuando le dijo que mi orden estaba mal a la chica que había estado trabajando hay se puso a discutir conmigo, nunca se disculparon y después me mandaron a la otra chica a preguntar si todavía quería lo que había pedido pero que iba a tomar más tiempo, le dijo que lo dejara que estaba bien así, nunca volvieron a preguntarme si la orden de la otra persona estaba bien o si necesitábamos algo más de tomar. Me fui muy enojada de ese lugar y es una lástima.
It used to be my favorite place to eat. Until I got sick for 3 times. The first 2 times I let them pass but the last one really gave me terrible FOOD POISONING I will never eat there again. This is just my honest score. And something that happened to me personally

The food is very good especially the chicken and the shrimp or mixed cocktails are always accompanied by a tanned onion, the roast meat and the pork rinds in its touch there is space to eat hi and to take away the atmosphere is calm and the waitresses are very friendly. its worth going to eat at this place the fish is also good fruit when you ask

Poor quality of food, it is relatively from one or a few days before, they try harder to sell beers within the premises, it seems more like a canteen, than a Deli or food sale, the seafood that I bought when I was old, until I did damage. I hope it changes.

2022-06-04Picture is worth 1000 words. Delicious corvina submarina!Had the churrasco ecuatoriano, still delicious but the sunny side eggs, should have NOT been served like that. The cook should not only cook good but also worry about presentation and it should look as depicted on the menu.

2019-03-053 starts because the food was amazing I would reorder from this place if and when they stop using styrofoam containers... who wants to eat pieces of foam with their food I have to remove part of food so I could eat properly. I ordered the Calamares Fritos, Arrozo com camurcho and the tres leches with a bottle of water from Grubhub. Still waiting for my bottle of water 🤷🏽♀️.... like I said the food was amazing was mad that the container mealted in my food.

2021-10-11Placed a DoorDash order requesting pernil and whoever prepared my order gave me chicharron and thought they were slick by putting the same vegetables as a pernil plate. Chicharron is dry on top of that 🤬

2022-01-11The food is tasty, yet the meat is tough to chew. I had the Bandera. It has shrimp, goat, and tripe. The goat and tripe are always tough. I know this because I have ordered it a few times becaise its tasty and I keep thinking the texture will change.The staff is always friendly here and they give a nice amount of food. I just wish the meat wasnt so tough.

2022-01-17I went to eat at the restaurant with my family and waited almost an hour for the food. The food was cold and undercooked. Their bathroom was dirty and filthy. Would not recommend anyone to eat there.

2021-02-14The Sopa de Mariscos was very bad. It had only shrimp peel, frozen calamari, and lobster. I understand restaurants use frozen seafood but this one was too blended and overcooked. I give two stars because the Bandeja was okay. Very mediocre for the price
