Fantastic people, they are genuinely passionate about the hobby and are willing to help you succeed. John, Kenny, and Cassy are very knowledgeable and are meticulously conscious on the health of their fish and corals. Although the store is small, every visit seems fresh, and the wide variety of selection of corals and fish always seem to mystify me as if there was some sort of ADHD that was instilled in me the very moment I walk in lol. Anyways I place a lot of trust in them and will come here often to buy more.
Great for saltwater fish fresh water is lacking but thats okay. Fish Appear to be in good heath all the tanks appear to be clean. Staff is very friendly and happy to answer questions. And they didnt get angry when I instinctively touched the the tanks to try and get the fish to follow my finger.
One of the best shops I have been to, I typically buy loose mushrooms and many zoanthids as there selection is awesome. I highly recommend them.
The girl was very nice I believe she and her husband owned the place. , she explained everything in detail..help my husband and I to pick the right coral for our tank..amazing service.
The best LFS around. Superbly clean tanks, awesome selection and excellent prices. The variety for saltwater set ups is fantastic, as well as freshwater. The shops corals are beautiful and they have a large assortment of dry goods. Ill be returning for sure!
Kenny is my dude. Hes got a great selection of corals in that little spot over there. Definitely worth a look see if youve never been and if you have maybe its time to go back.
The best saltwater fish store with the best prices for fish and coral. They have a new selection of coral every week. John and Kenny are extremely knowledgeable and are always willing to answer any questions we may have.
As a 40 year long aquarium owner and been at almost every shop on the island , for a marine / reef aquarium this shop is by far the best around , hands down . The staff is top notch in knowlege and service. I cannot give them enough praise and support .

This shop is legit. Superbly clean and all of the fish are looking very healthy and active. Shop obviously specializes in salt water fish but also had a nice selection of African cichlids, some harder to find species too. People working there are very friendly.You are not going to find mollys, tetras, danios etc in this store, it is more for the intermediate to advanced hobbyist.
Awesome selection and super clean. I havent seen one dead fish in their tanks. Everytime I walk in the staff is always hard at work cleaning/maintaining their tanks.
Amazing and cute little place! I just wish there was a bit more space to walk around. The isles are crowded. But people there are super helpful! I would recommend this place to anyone who has a chance to go!
This place has a great selection and very knowledgeable employees. I was very impressed by this place. Very reasonable prices as well. The customer service was so good I cant stress this enough. They even helped entertain my 11 month old son while I talked to an employee. Simply amazing.

Awesome shop, cheap clean sps and lps frag/colonies- all the way to top end ultra scolys/clams/fish. In house culturing of some corals, beautiful montiporas. Tanks so clean you would think there isnt water in the tanks.
Horrible i had the owner servicing my tank he sold me a purple tang that died 2 weeks after purchase when he told me how would guarantee all the fish he sold me because he was servicing my tank not a man of his word

Great salt water selection walls of coral and salt water fish. Lacking in the fresh water department what they do have is not properly labeled.

2021-10-29I visited Tropical Island and met John for the first time yesterday. It was an absolute pleasure. John was very nice and never made me feel rushed. He was helpful and full of advice. He is a very experienced reefer and it shows. The corals in the store are gorgeous and tanks are clean. On top of that the prices are very competitive. I got 2 corals so far and will definitely be back for many more.

2019-03-14The only place we go to get our stuff. Jon is great and they have a ton of coral and a wide variety of very unique fish (not just saltwater). The owner Jon is great, he is more concerned with finding these fish and corals a good home and will at times advise against purchasing stuff (thats how you know he cares, its not all about taking your dollars). Will do free water testing. The employees are very knowledgeable about everything in this store (and believe me there is a ton of stuff). If youre in the hobby this is where you want to get your aquatic needs.

2018-08-12Went in the shop for the first time today I must say this shop is great they have everything from freshwater to a great saltwater stock especially there coral frags and colonies and the prices are fair . John was very helpful and knowledgeable I will be returning as a customer and you should too. Id like to add that the tanks are clear and live stock look in good health and condition.
