Been to this location three times. Two times I got food, the customer service was the same. Blah, low energy and unappreciative for the business. The food is a little above average. Jerk is grilled but not necessarily jerk. Price for a small is reasonable. Today, I go there. Unapologetically they say they have no jerk chicken ready and point to the grill. They offer friend chicken which looked like it’s been under the lights for some time. From reading past reviews, this is just how this place moves. The parking is Wack. Two spots out front. You park on the interior street you get eye balled. This is not a near drive for me so it’s a real waste of time and gas to go to a spot with average service and no food.

I have been on hold for 10 mins on the phone. Whoever the owners hired to manage the front can not handle the pressure. I’m listening to all the other orders being taken. There is no way i should be on hold for now 12 minutes. Get rid of the newcounter help . And now she hung up on me. Smh

They had no fish today. Walked in there on the line but I just needed to ask the chef quickly if they had fish. He literally walk to the warmer in front to look if they had and he just shook his head. Well that was all I need to see and walked out. No I can get it ready in 15mins like the Jamaica restaurant place on Atlantic where I went and got it after 20mins and boy!!! Its was worth it. About $2 more but it closer to the harbor so its worth it than going all the way to North Grand Avenue. By the way its made to order fresh drenched in flavor and tasty delish!!! So worth it. Sorry Tropical Jerk you missing the ball a lot lately. I still patronize this location anyway because its the only one aside from the other location on Hempstead ave around Queens village in Queens.

Long wait. I dont like that. Confined spaces arent fun with viruses still around. The food is still good. Jerk chicken a sweet sauce. Yum!

I ordered the shrimp rasta pasta which was delicious 😋 and the conch soup, but when I got home I got potatoes and carrots a one tiny piece of conch. I called and was told it was cooked in conch broth, wasnt happy with that.

Poor service took 10 minutes for a small white rice with gravy people came in after me with larger orders and received their order before me go figure

I love there jerk chicken..if you cant make it home to Jamaica, to Scotchies, Portland for Boston jerk or even to Red Hills road for pan chicken, this is as close as your going to get in New York. Dont forget to ask for the sweet & hot sauce,delious.Customer service is great here.
